I have loyal customer of popeyes for years and i have never had my food taste so awful. I ordered the Wicked Shrimp, i think they cut 1 shrimp in 4 and battered it to death. Some of it was just clusters of batter. I never go to Popeyes at the end of the night, because I have recieved this kind of crap, when I think it's close to time to close and I feel they do not want to cook a fresh order. This was at the 4:50 pm on a Sunday.

Store # 4941, near my home in Calumet City, IL. The problem is that I'd ordered 2 orders of ghost pepper wings. Only to get home and find that the chicken was hard and blackened inside and out. The next day I spoke with Maurice, the manager who said that if I returned to the store by 5PM that he would fix it. I got the new orders, returned home and these were as bad as the first. The only difference was that this time they had included the ranch dressing, missing from the first orders and added a side of red beans and rice.

Sharpee sign on speaker to drive up to window. Ok. Line is moving quickly! Get to window, order THE sandwich. Response, "Chicken is frozen" ok what about ghost wings?. The first time we went to Popeyes we sat in a long line. finally got to where we order. attempted to place the order which took 15 minutes because the employee wasnt listening and I had to repeat the order 4 times. Even after the last time he said "so thats one chicken sandwich?" to which I had to explain AGAIN, that it was two, plus two fries. then we get to window and he gave us two chicken dinners, I gave them back and told him the order a 6th time. Horrible service. But a few weeks later we thought we'd give it one more chance. we again waited in line and when we were next to order, we could hear the person ahead of us giving her long order, which she had to repeat several times. when she finished repeating it for the last time I heard the employee say something about cash only needless to say lady in the car was frustrated and pulled out of the line and left. I pulled up and the employee said what's your order, so if I hadn't heard his final words to the car in front of me he would have had me give my order probably 5 times and then would have said has to be paid cash. before I heard the conversation from the car in front of me two cars in front of that car had been there ordering for a while then pulled out of line and sped off so i'm sure the same thing happened to them. the customer service at this place is horrible. we also tried doing curb side service by calling in order or doing online. neither worked. online took us in circles, calling in got nowhere because no one ever answers the phone and I tried that several times. please retrain your employees. customer service should be your number one focus. it obviously is not.

While hungry and watching television with my wife, a Popeye's chicken commercial came on. I have noticed that it is all African American people on these commercials. As a Caucasian American, I myself enjoy chicken sandwiches as well. I will be taking a knee from here on out while any Popeye's commercial comes on the television, I will also encourage family and friends to do the same.
