Panera Bread Panera Bread's Coffee Subscription: A Convenient Glitch to Keep Charging Customers

I signed up for the coffee subscription at Panera Bread, as I'm a professional driver and a coffee addict. The idea of having access to coffee for a flat rate was very appealing to me. However, after trying three or four cups, I was disappointed. Each cup was either cold or watered down, and undrinkable no matter how much creamer or sugar I added. I canceled my subscription and left a 3-star review, stating that I loved the idea, and I would come back if they improved their coffee.

That was 9 months ago, and I recently discovered that there was a glitch, and they didn't cancel my subscription. It's my fault that I didn't realize they were charging me $10 a month. But, I do go to Panera for food because it's close, quick, and easy for work. So, a charge a month didn't raise a red flag until I saw it today and said, "Wait a minute, it's been a while since I went to Panera, why is there a charge here?" I realized it was a subscription fee. I did a history search and saw how long they had been charging me.

I tried to cancel immediately, but it glitched. A small brief pop-up said, "OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG PLEASE TRY AGAIN," but it disappeared so quickly that I thought, "Oh wow, this is kinda shady. If I hadn't caught that, they would have kept charging me AGAIN." So, I tried to cancel twice more before it went through. I took a screenshot with the tiny pop-up to show how they were getting away with not canceling when you try to. No doubt this happened when I canceled before.

I called to see what they would do about it, since I never used the coffee subscription, and it was $10 for 9 months. They refused to refund me. That's unfortunate. They will never have my business again, and I will share this information with all of my coworkers. As a professional driver for the top two rideshare companies in America, we have a community that's closer than most realize. We have Facebook groups, local and national, quite a few apps to stay in touch with each other, and we meet and hang out, especially at the airport waiting for rides, share tips and pointers while waiting for rides.

Being a leader and senior driver, my advice is respected. When I tell other drivers where to go for a good oil change rate or tire repair, word gets around. When I recommend restaurants for customers and talk about my favorite places in the city, promoting businesses, my voice is heard. While $90 is a drop in the bucket to some, it's not to me. That's two oil changes. That's two tanks of gas. To take my money without giving me anything in return when I assuredly canceled the service within the same month, didn't even wait out the three free months, angers me beyond words that they have a convenient glitch, a great way to keep people from canceling.

Panera Bread Terrible Experience at Panera Bread: Unwelcoming Staff and Rude Manager

Panera Bread is a restaurant that has been receiving mixed reviews lately. Some people have had great experiences, while others have had terrible ones. I recently visited a Panera Bread location in San Jose, and I have to say that my experience was not a good one.

The first thing that struck me was how unwelcoming the staff was. I felt like I was being judged as soon as I walked in the door. I am a senior citizen, and I felt like I was being treated differently because of my age. The staff seemed to be more interested in serving younger, more affluent customers.

When I ordered my refreshment, I asked for special consideration because of a health problem. The clerk who took my money was hesitant to give it to me, and she had to ask the manager for permission. This was a bit frustrating, but I understood that they had policies to follow.

However, the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He seemed to be watching me constantly, and every time I did something he didn't like, he would come over and harass me. For example, when I used a toothbrush to remove something from my teeth, he yelled at me and accused me of being unsanitary.

I was shocked by his behavior, and I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. I packed up and left immediately. I have never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant before.

After doing some research, I found that this is not an isolated incident. Many people have complained about the way they have been treated at Panera Bread. It seems that the company has a problem with management, and some of their managers are not trained properly.

I think that Panera Bread needs to do better. They should embrace all customers, regardless of their age, race, or socioeconomic status. They should train their staff and managers to be more welcoming and compassionate. And they should start a charity to help disadvantaged people, instead of treating them like they are unwanted.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Panera Bread to anyone. If you are looking for a restaurant that treats all customers equally and with respect, there are many other options out there.

Panera Bread Cleanliness/product

The Panera in Aiken,SC where we live, is not clean and in absolute dire need of updating. The carpet is filthy and the tables and chairs are badly scratched and sticky. We were in that location on Sunday, September 17, 2023. My husband tried to clean our table with wet napkins to no avail.

We ordered soup and coffee and both were cold. We love Panera but won’t be going back to this location one unless some changes are made.

Desired outcome: Updating and thorough cleaning. Talk to management about temperature of food.

Panera Bread Order

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent order (order #[protected]) on August 11, 2023. I ordered an asiago cheese bagel with sausage and scrambled egg, but the bagel was missing from my order. The receipt indicated the asiago cheese bagel was unavailable, but no effort was made to substitute it or inform me.

To compound my frustration, I was charged the full price despite not receiving my complete order. As a loyal customer, I expected better service and communication.

I request a prompt resolution by:

1. Refunding the missing bagel's cost or the complete payment.

2. Improving order fulfillment and communication processes.

3. Providing assurance of better service in the future.

Panera Bread Quality

Seriously, Panera Bread? I was so looking forward to my large Greek salad today! When I began eating it, I noticed something odd. There was NO lettuce! How do you have a salad with no lettuce? I ain’t what I could and weighed the lettuce STALKS that remained in my bowl. It was 103 g. I’m just one left. Wondering who got all the lettuce? When you noticed your number of sales going down, you’ll find that you’re not training your people or managing your quality because I’m not buying another salad from you.

I bought a $15 gift card for Panara. When I went to use it, the numbers have been rubbed a lot from carrying it. They said they cannot take it, and there's no way to check the balance, which is the full price because I have never used it. Why are your numbers rubbing off of your cards? Panera Bread Greek Salad

Hi. On 07/17/23 I got a bowl of tomato soup, a greek salad and wanted to try the apple cranberry lemonade. I LOVE Panera because it's always so fresh and never lets me down. Today it let me down. My salad was filled of soft, wilted lettuce, soft and wilted onions, browning on the edge of lettuce, tomatoes too hard to even enjoy and the drink was entirely way too sweet of syrup. I did not finish either. I will be back, but this was a huge disappointment.

Desired outcome: Money back for tea and salad. The soup was delicious as always.

Panera Bread Employee with red hair

She was extremely rude for no reason. I had asked to have no chicken in my sandwich when ordered and they had put chicken which is fine but she kept refusing to remake it. She left in the middle of our conversation and another employee had to come instead where he actually politely responded saying they would remake it. When coming back to pick up my food she just glared at me. I asked for my chips since they came with the meal and she slammed them on the plate. I said thank you and she scoffed. She was incredibly rude for no reason.
