Maytag

This is my second attempt to file this complaint. I purchased the dishwasher in April 2021. In March 2022 I received a call from someone who claimed to be from Maytag who said there was a recall. Subsequently a local repair service came and replaced the “heater”. After the service the machine would not run and it made a constant noise and flashed codes on the display. The repair service returned and identified the problem as the “float switch” and said it would be ordered. To date (April 3, 2022) the installation of the float switch has not been done and I am sick of washing dishes by hand after paying for a machine that apparently had a recall and should not have been sold to me. Also, Whirlpool, the responsible warranty company, has not sent any documents of a recall. I believe it is an old recall and the machine should not have been sold to me without it being first corrected. I am very angry about this.

Washer does not perform like advertised you can only wash 3 towels or 3 pairs of jeans and it`s a 4.7 cu. Ft. Tub I paid over 865.83 dollars for this and it does not handle my familys laundry can`t wash my dogs blankets. And maytag and home depot where I bought it will do nothing to resolve my issues. I first went to them they said problem is with maytag, I called maytag they sent out a tech. He came to my house on may 13, 2021 arround 11:00 he checked everything and said it was working fine he said he has one and thats the way it worked and I could wash 3 towels or 3 jeans, I said why the 4.7 tub I should be able to wash a load of clothes he said nope even with the 3 pairs of jeans or towels or clothes equivalent to that it will not put enough water to cover the clothes I said are you kidding me he said no sorry. So this does not fit my needs... Purchased a MAYTAG "whirlpool " Washing machine just 2 years ago at Home Depot for over $600.00,

with the nice big stickers stating that it was built by an American company also with a big round sticker showing 10 YEAR LMITED WARRANTY,

Wow I thought it had to be a quality product since is backed for 10 years!

Now i know that is all a clever dirty trick, when in reality all it covers is motor and basket, no labor either.

The washer start light will start flashing on every load and block all functions, have done multiple resets and troubleshooting, had a local tech diagnose issue and confirmed is the control panel $300 + $170 labor.

Today as I make appt hoping the warranty would at least cover parts, but I was told to pay $134.95 for the tech to visit plus labor and parts,

What a rip-off and disappointment this company is, for me to have to pay

$500.00 in repairs for a barely two-year-old machine is Unacceptable.

I will never EVER,EVER,EVER buy again from this company and will let family and friends know about it so they don't fall for this scam.

My cloths keep coming out with dry places (as if there was not enough water). Also much lint and hairs remain on the cloths. This washer was purchased new July 2021 together with a Maytag dryer.

We purchased the washer and dryer the end of May 2020. We weren’t overly happy with the machine for the amount we paid. In November 2021 the machine quit working all together. I called and explained my disappointment that a washing machine should last longer than a year and half. They said that they would do a one time courtesy repair. Needless to say we were without a washer until January 2022 because it appliance service company and parts back ordered. The washing machine made louder noises after the repair and then my family had COVID so I couldn’t have anyone in house but I called appliance service company and they said I had to contact Whirlpool as their ticket was closed. I finally made contact with Maytag to be told that only parts would be covered but I would be responsible for the diagnostic fees and the labor. Needless to say I am very upset with them and the quality of the washing machine

I bought a Maytag washing machine form home depot online back in October of 2021. Shortly thereafter the unit started leaking. HD sent out a technician to look at it and he replaced the water hose. The unit keep leaking and the same service person came out again and replaced yet another water hose and the machine just continued leaking. I had water damage to my laundry floor and the kitchen ceiling and yet another company was consulted for damages.

It has been 5 months and my washing machine is still leaking when in use and neither Home Depot nor Maytag wants to replace it. They want to send out yet again another technician to see if they can fix the problem before replacing it. This is totally incredulous!

Ice maker stopped working after 1 1/2 years, I called Maytag 3 times and all they could say is that they apologize for the situation. They will do nothing to provide assistance. The model I have is known to have issues due to the wires built in the bottom of the door and when the door opens, each time it is stretching the wires, which causes the wires to breaks.

Lessen here is : Do Not Purchase Maytag appliance.

in February 2020 we purchased new Maytag washer and dryer from our local Best Buy store, after three months the washer started tearing up our cloths by catching it between the agitator and the tub opening. We called for service and the repair man told us this was a common issue; however, Maytag didn't want to publicly disclose it and was addressing the complaints as they came in. I specifically asked the repair man if this was going to happen again, he assured us the fix would resolve this problem. When I called and complained about my bedding being torn, they simply dismissed my complaint and told me they were not going to reimbursee me for any damages. Fastforward March 2022 we started having the same problem again, I called Maytag and they informed me that I was outside of the service agreement time, and they couldn't and wouldn't repair the machine free of charge. I find it inconceivable that a corporation as big as Whirlpool/ Maytag put such little value in their product, especially since this was a reoccurring issue. Your representative told me she would give me a 40% discount on another Maytag washer, I found that laughable since my experience with your product has been so disappointing. I will let anyone, and everyone know about my experience with your company and product. PRETTY DISGUSTING !

the washer does not properly agitate or fill with water and clothes are dirty and smelly this is not the washer for me or my family . this washer is like a dry cleaner, where you take your un washables . ifI were a family of 2 and only wore polyester or silk fabric close to those , maybe it would work for me. I am a cotton girl and would not be seen in polyester ,so what can you do for me that a tech from maytag could not do .? it is the worst machine ever released to the public and that`s a fact .I would like to have my hard earned money returned ,and you can have your lemon back !

I have a Maytag Washer purchased a year ago...My whole family only purchases Maytag Washer/Dryers...but, this one I'm not happy with. This is my first "no agitator" washer and I definitely don't think it cleans the clothes properly. My dark clothes come out with "white residue" that is very hard to get off.. I don't think I should have to purchase another product to clean a product that is suppose to clean in the first place. I use HE dertergent, but still have white on the darks. I've cleaned the dispenser tray, still "white residue". I've just about given up...Any suggestions? The salesman at Lowe's strongly recommended this model, as I wanted an agitator machine. I thought Maytag proprobably came out with newer, smarter technology that improved the washers, but this is definitely a step backwards.

We purchased and had our contractor install a new Maytag Dishwasher, MD4949SKZ. When I ran the dishwasher, I later heard water running in our basement where we just had new carpet installed. The contractor pulled out the dishwasher and it had a gaping hole where water was spewing out. We returned the washer to Menards and received another one. Our new carpet that was only a few weeks old is stained. The water also went over our electric box that could have caused very extensive damage.

Clothes ( sheets jeans etc) come out twisted Bought 8/9 months ago. Not happy with this machine

Please help me replace this washer. It's ruining all of my clothes! We purchased the washer in November 2021 and had it replaced with another in the month that we purchased it but it has the same issue so there is obviously nothing mechanically wrong with the washer so sending a repairman and replacing parts will not fix it. The way the washer was designed is not functional and is not washing my clothing as it was advertised to do. As many other reviews have stated, it starts agitating your clothes before there is barely any water with only half of the clothing wet, and then the agitator starts vigorously spinning back and forth with half wet clothes on the bottom and dry clothes on top... no visible standing water to actually wash it in... and this is after setting the "deep fill” option. By the time it actually has visible water for the clothes to wash in (which it only fills half way even on deep fill), it’s already half way through the wash cycle. This is very rough on fabric and is ruining almost all of my clothing. On top of this, I see items of clothing that aren’t properly agitated around during the wash cycle and remain on top of the load untouched. I have 4 children (family of 6) and our clothing is coming out dirty with gross smells and stains/food stuck to the clothing. We have only had this washer now for 5 months. When I spoke to your Warranty Department today, the rep told me that due to US environmental regulations, that the washer is only meant to fill half way and that if I want it to successfully wash, I will need to only put in half of a load which (1) why did I purchase a high capacity washer if it doesn’t wash a full load as advertised and (2) it’s still not washing my clothing properly when I do this.

We bought this washing machine approximately 3 years ago. I’d love to know who the genius is who thought that taking the agitator out would be a good idea? When we were looking, there wasn’t a larger machine that came with it. Initially, you might think it’s a good thing like we did. That is, until you try to wash 1 Queen bottom sheet and one baby’s blanket and the machine sounds like it’s coming through the wall. And I’ve even put it on the bulky or extra large cycle along with Max Fill and fast spin. It’s completely unacceptable that I have to restart it, and put it on drain and spin TWICE to get it into the dryer literally for two small non- bulky items! For us, this was a big investment. But if I have the opportunity to buy another machine, it will definitely not be a Maytag. This brand being reliable is a thing of the past.

It does not work like it says in the owner's manual it's a lemon and that all there is to it cant was blankets, he'll can't even wash jeans. Maytag should be a shamed of themselves selling [censored] to Americans I am very disappointed in them, I'll tell everyone "don't buy Maytag" with internet it will go far I've already put in a complaint I guess they don't care, so we will see

We purchased this machine in November 2019. The machine became useless in Dec 202. It started to leave the clothes soaked with water. We had to take all clothes out of it and ring the water out of it manually. then when we started to redo the spin cycle the machine started to uncontrollably vibrate and pulled itself out of place. We ensure that the legs were balanced according to the manual. It only got worse. We secure it to the floor with ankers and placed straps to at least get some clothes washed. It ripped itself out of the wall. torn out 20 inches of sheet rock off the wall. at this point, we called a technician who stated that he has seen this problem often. Charged $ 98.00 to look at it. He told us that to fix it will cost more than what we paid for the machine. None of these issues are covered by the guarantee. The guarantee covers the motor & the basket. Those 2 things ever go bad on any machine. We paid $ 749.00 plus tax for the machine. We hoped it will last at least 5 to 7 years. However, the poor quality after such a big expense is really disheartening. We never over loaded, we used it once a day. In over 50 years of using washing machines this is the worst machine I ever came across . Poorest quality. This machine should be entered in the worst product in regards to quality and performance ever made by MAYTAG.

my boyfriend of 30 years bought me a maytag top loader 4.7cu.ft. washing machine with extra power button and deep fill option on 4-26-20 spent $865.83 was to be delivered on 4-30-20 . he is a big man and he is a roofer & if you have ever tore off a roof after 40 to 50 years you know the dirt is the blackest dirt you could imagine. he picked out a maytag model # mvw6230hw, serial # cx1670965 because it was so big 4.7 cu. ft. he came home from work and surprised me with a brand new washer. so at first i watched the washer to see if i was setting the settings correctly i kept setting the water level on high but hardly any water so i let it run its cycle . next few days i watched it wash because my clothes were coming out tie dyed the washer was grinding the soap and the dirt into my clothes cause no water they smelled worse when i washed them the mix of dirt soap and little water we called maytag on a friday 4-30-21 they sent a tech he came on 5-13-21 between hrs of 8 am to 4 pm he checked and said nothing was wrong, theres not a thing he could do and i could only wash 3 pairs of pants or 3 towels at a time my whites are brown my colors are spotted from tide with bleach grinding into the clothes i cant wash my dogs blankets its been a nightmare , i cry everytime i do laundry is there some way to resolve this refund or trade for a washer that fills up and agitates . i am at my witts end , please help ! can you please give me an answer one way or the other, i need some peace of mind , laundry days are a nightmare. thank you for hearing me

I purchased this machine 8-29-20 and has been a problem ever since, cannot wash bulky loads such as comforter, if you do it bangs hard and shows a message to reorganize and start again. Had tech come out and look at machine and nothing was wrong. Now this time a comforter was being washed and banged so hard the top lid sensor that detects it is closed broke out and had to duct tape it in place to wash cloths, trying to get a tech for the extended warranty to come check out but called and had to reseudule till 3/21/22. Very dissappointed in this Maytag washer. Will never purchase another Maytag. Had a LG for 10 years with no problems.

I have had a broken maytag washer. The experioence I have had with maytag is a joke. I wish the ceo of maytag had to pleasure to call and try to resolve anything with maytag. Since july my maytag washer has been broken. You have sent out 3 different people to fix. Still broken washer. You then told me since the company did not notify you they needed a part I get to wait another 10 days to see... I repeat see... If you can find the part. We are almost another month past that and still a broken washer... For the love of god I would love to use my new washer... But no maytag will not allow me to use a new washer,
