I am within the one year warranty and have had 4 visits with techs to work on repair. I have been told this machine does not do mixed loads. I have to be careful placing garments towels or what is on the list of washables in the tub to keep it in balance. The machine has a new tub and supports and still goes out of balance creating a racket and resetting it self. I will have tenants moving into this unit soon and I know they will, like most people, toss mixed items into be washed. Your techs says that this machine is not designed for mixed loads. You should have told me that up front and I would have passed it by, as I am wasting to much time on a new product that doesn't meet my expectations or needs

I bought a Maytag washer from Lowes on 5-26-21. I filed to have it repaired and was scheduled for 5-16-22 with a no show no call. I then rescheduled for 5-30-22 with a different company that has now cancelled. I would like to know what your company thinks is an appropriate amount of time and money the average family should send on laundry when they have purchased a $1300 washer

Slider Plastic gear With a magnetic strip wrapped around it thin strip at that . It is a gear that is set up to fail They need to warrantee this product, talk to plenty of service providers and they have said the same thing but they have been ignored part It’s about $27 repair comes close to 300

A year in a half year old washer should be warranteed specially with these type of parts parts it says 10 years # Warranty on the motor because they know that won’t go bad and tub.

Our Maytag washer (top load) Model MVWB766FW1 was purchased new in May 2019. We are a 2-person household, and over the three years machine use has been light-moderate at 3-4 loads per week. Last week the washer repeatedly shut down before the cycle was complete, and today, the repairman says the machine has a failed gearcase. Cost to repair + labor estimated at $700-800 (none of which is covered under the 10 year warranty), which is basically the cost of a new machine.

Bottom line: Buyer Beware. Today's Maytag is not your mom's Maytag, they are basically garbage.

Quit working in less than 5 years

I have a Maytag Washer. It's 3 yrs old. First yr went down, they said at first it was the control board, then they said it's was something in the drum. Idk really what it was. But about a month later I finally had to get ugly and insist that they bring me a working washer while they tried to fix mine.2 wks later they brought it back, they never called me not 1, time to tell me what was going on. Now that was the first yr, now it's the 3 yrs and the transmission is out of it. So yep I have not been able to use my washer setting in my washing room not working they can't find a transmission I don't get it called on the 21st day cuz you have 21 days after you first complain and then they've handed over to another team to find your part call back 4 days later they tell me to call back cuz it's just being handed over to the second team so in between those 21 days no one bothered to call me to let give me any updates I call I'm always put on hold for 45 minutes finally somebody gets on the phone they really don't know what's going on either of course they work for Maytag and whirlpool supervisor has yet to ever talk to me cuz they can't find the part but see they're coming to work with clean clothes on their behind while I have to go to the laundromat and pay $8 a machine to clean my clothes so now after today on the fourth day from the second team I got to wait till next week to see if they find a transmission for my washer thank you Maytag for nothing. I don't know if I'll ever get a washing machine specially from Maytag and whirlpool cuz they can't find a part that will help me with my washer washer.

The 10 May 2022 my refrigerator door had an issue with the door hinge . I call the parts service department and one on the parts that is broken is not available. My refrigerator is a Maytag 7 years old and the parts is a plastic on the right door , which I think the value of this could be around 20$ . Maytag told me I should replaced the complete door 650$ which is almost 1/2 price of a new refrigerator?! They say sorry…. we don’t sell that parts

This is the Last time I bought a MAYTAG product, I thought you were a great company with great product and good service for parts availability but I was totally wrong and I am really disappointed

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer commercial technology smart capable set with extra power buttons. Models mvw7230hw0, washer and med6230hw2, dryer. Over$2000 for the set. 2 weeks before the 1 year manufacturers warranty expired the dryer broke. Just stopped turning on. Called Maytag and was told to call retailer, Lowe's. They told me to call Maytag because we didn't purchase an extended warranty through them. So again I called Maytag, sat on hold for 30 minutes and was told that there were no service technicians in my area. I could set up with a local appliance repair, pay out of pocket and be reimbursed and they would send me the parts. This started October 2021. The appliance repair would take a week to come out, they agreed to face time and we concluded the display panel and mother board were the problem even though no code could be accessed because the unit would notdiagnostisSOrdered parts, 3 weeks later was told that they could not find them? That's because they are made in China. Go figure. They finally agreed to replace the unit. But it would take 4 more weeks. I was so sick of drying things by the wood stove and crunchy towels l demand a faster delivery. I had a potty training toddler and was working full time at my wits end. A week later they delivered my new dryer. Situation resolved12/17/21. 3 months later. Now the washer won't spin out, getting error codes, Even one Maytag says doesn't exist. Since this isn't my first rodeo with machine diagnostics, I've concluded it is the motherboard and /or the clutch assembly. So I know when I call Maytag they will order the parts just to tell me that they are lost or back ordered. So I would like the washer replaced asap without the run around. This is my first experience with Maytag, my LG front loaders lasted me 15 years, had it not been at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic I would have bought something else, but we could not wait for months to replace our old washer and dryer. I will never purchase "America's best known" product, that's made in China. With our world holding on by a thread, our children losing the ability to play outside, shouldn't we be building products that last, not disposable merchandise to be thrown in a landfill year after year. I don't know about anyone else but I don't have disposable income available.

Still, after he left, it worked. For a little over a month. Today It will not even start. It's may 2. Buyer beware. These things are barbie toys. Get an extended warrantee, or better still, go with another company

On 10/08/21 I purchased a Maytag washer from menards in minot, nd. I purchased 2 additional warranty years on the machine, for a total of 1096.50. At the time of purchase they told us to contact menards if we have issues with the machine. On 02/26/22, my washer broke down, was making a grinding noise and would not spin the water out. I immediately called menards. They got me in touch with the appliance department. the lady I talked to told me to call kevins plumbing in Minot. On monday 02/28/22 I called kevins plumbing, they asked me why I called them. I told them I called menards and they told me to call kevins plumbing. they set up a date of 03/09/22 to come and check the machine. they never called or showed up, I called them and they said nobody answered the phone, and it was busy. we have caller id and an answer machine. if they would have called we would have seen it on the caller id and they could have left a message. they set it for a different date about a week later. when the repairman came he said he had to order the parts and he had 6 of the same model machines that have the same problem, the shaft is made of plastic. my husband checked with kevins plumbing every week, the maytag warehouse, which should not be the customers responsibility. the may tag warehouse told us the parts were sent. neither place knew what was going on. In the meantime we have had to go to the laundromat and spend 40.00 a week washing clothes. on 4/26/22 we went to menards, spoke to Nancy in the appliance department. told her we were upset and needed some help. she called the manager of the department, he refused to come and see us. he gave nancy a toll free number for us to call. I said we have already tried that, nobody knows anything. nancy sent an email to menards corporate, kevins plumbing, and maytag warehouse. the next morning, the manager called my husband and told him he ordered the part and it will get fixed this week. my husband was upset because all this time nobody could fix it and all of a sudden because he orders the part he thinks it will get fixed. also, how long will it last and it breaks down again and we go through this mess again. my husband went to menards and asked to talk to the manager. instead of the manager coming he sent a regular employee. my husband said no, iwant to talk to the manager. when the manager came down he was angry be cause he had to come down and talk to my husband. my husband told him our concerns and said we want our money back. the manager said no he was not going to refund or replace the machine, because, it says on the sales slip no exchanges or refunds after 7 days of purchase. we purchased a new machine from Home Depot on 04/27/22. when my husband was in enards to talk to the manager on 04/27/22, the manager became angry with my husband and told him to leave and never come back. hat is very poor customer service. I will never deal with them again

The washer leaves lint on all of my black clothes some more than others .I had service come out many times suggesting like less detergent and cleaning which I do. I absolutely hate this washer,and the extra work I have to do to get lint off. I replaced my old still running maytag with this one a few years back and have been struggling ever since.What is the solution for clean clothes with this washer? I am sure it is on all clothes but just can't see it on the lighter clothes.

I bought this washer and drier combo at home depot and it's has been so frustrating with this washer ever since. I bought the extended warranty for it and it could no be fixed. The tech installed parts but problem continued, he said the noise was normal but trust me it is so noisy and now it started to leak water and some type of oil. Now we are thinking of buying another washer. Not sure if anyone can help us with this since warranty expired and now we are without a washer. Maytag was supposed to be one of the best and we bought it for that reason but very dissapointed with it. I have video and pics of washer problems but not sure how to load videos

I purchased my Maytag Bravo XL in July 2019. Just had a service call regarding the need to replace a lid lock device. The repair person told me that it also sounded like the bearings in the machine are going bad! So the lid lock replacement with labor was $240. I was told that the transmission replacement would be over $500. Yikes. The machine is hot even 3 years old. I called Maytag to see if there could be any assistance but was told no. Basically, the person I spoke to admitted that they don't make things like they used to. Why do we accept this?

The element on my stove caught on fire while my grand kids were with me in kitchen. This should not have happened. I bought maytag because of your warranty! I have already sent three complaints to you, with out any respond. Do you think this is fair? I can not afford to buy a new stove. We are elderly and retired. My machine is in a laundry closet and I carried a tape measure with to be sure a 27" machine was bought so it would fit back in to this laundry closet. The machine is bigger were the hoses are so my machine will not fit. My only options are to hire a plumber to move the drain into the wall or a carpenter to move out the doors. Either way, this will be an additional cost that I was not counting on. Very unhappy. I never had this problem with a wash machine before.

I have been calling well over a month now and keep getting told there working on it. First they said they would send someone to fix it, then after 3 weeks they said they have no service people in my area. Well why would you not have people to come fix it. Then no one called, so tracked down women who said they would replace it. She never returns my calls and it’s another 4 weeks in added on to waiting for service. This is a dryer which stopped working within warranty. Serial number medc465hwo. This should have not gone on this long. Please can you help. Im spending so much money at laundry mat. I have a nurses and military which require uniforms to be washed daily.

This is my second attempt to file this complaint. I purchased the dishwasher in April 2021. In March 2022 I received a call from someone who claimed to be from Maytag who said there was a recall. Subsequently a local repair service came and replaced the “heater”. After the service the machine would not run and it made a constant noise and flashed codes on the display. The repair service returned and identified the problem as the “float switch” and said it would be ordered. To date (April 3, 2022) the installation of the float switch has not been done and I am sick of washing dishes by hand after paying for a machine that apparently had a recall and should not have been sold to me. Also, Whirlpool, the responsible warranty company, has not sent any documents of a recall. I believe it is an old recall and the machine should not have been sold to me without it being first corrected. I am very angry about this.
