Issue: Will not fill up enough to get the clothes wet. Causing the agitator to make a skipping sound on a gear sound. Also balls clothes up into tight balls and rips the fabric and seams.

Steps taken to resolve the issue:

I called Maytag on June 24, 2022, I received a call back from them on June 25, 2022. I explained the issue that I was having, I gave them my purchase date and store location. I told them that I did not have my paper receipt but I had talked to Lowe's and could get a print out of the sale. I also had the bank statement of proof of purchase because I has just bought the matching washer and dryer. I also told them that I had mailed in my warranty cards for both washer and dryer. I was informed that because I did not have the receipt that they had to go by the delivery date. Which was June 9, 2021.

I contacted a repair Company: Universal Services, 407 Canyon Creek Dr.. #105 Temple, TX 76502.[protected].

They came out and ordered a new sensing plate for the water fill. With service calls and cost of parts I am getting close to $250.00

Today they came out again for of course the same problem and while we both agree the new part made it better the issue is NOT resolved. Universal did not charge me for todays visit as they simply can't fix it.

I saved all my life to be able to afford to have a really nice washing machine. This is not at all what I dreamed of having.

Purchased on May 10, 2021 from Costco.

1. first problem I had with this washer was that is was going from the start sensing mode to wash completed with nothing in between. Repairman came out and order some parts and said he would order a wiring harness but that it was on back order. Some of the parts came in except for the wiring harness which he rigged the machine to work in while the part came in. During this repair, we were out a machine for almost two months. This was a hassle seeing that me and my wife both work and had to spend our spare time going to the laundry.

2. Second time the machine started to sound like a blender on the last minute of the wash. Repairman came out, but could not get any codes from the diagnostics. he told me that he could not do anything without a code. He told me that if it happens again to record the problem.

3. within a week the noise came back and Ii was able to record, but this time the machine started doing the same problem as the first call. It would go from the sensing mode to wash completed right away. Repairman came out right away and I showed him the video. he did a diagnostic and and there were various codes. He told me that he would order part and that some would be on back order. I believe he ordered 4-5 parts. He could not give me a time line for the repairs or could not be sure if this would fix the problem.

I have 4 daughters, a mother-in-law and wife and the laundry can be a big tack when we do not have a washer. We have to wash at a laundry mat close by and do this on our free time. I purchased the Maytag Washer because it is one of the most dependable names in appliances. I did not expect this washer to give me so much problems. I know that these repairs will not happen as soon as I would like them to happen and this is really disappointing. After talking to Customer service representative and the person she transferred me to who was above her they both told me there was nothing they could do to help me. it was funny that I went on Maytag facebook and seen that the same issues are happening with other people. From what I was told by the Reps. is basically that I'm screwed and have to wait because there is nothing that can be done. Have a nice day because me day was ruined with the news of the repairs and how long it may take.

The machine will not start and the control panel is completely dead. The problem, I learned, is that the circuit board does NOT have silicone coating, like the LG and Samsung, and is susceptible to the effects of moisture. Most machines last 10 to 11 years. I have only had the machine 3 years.

Purchased a brand new Maytag washer in Feb. Not even 5 months old and while washing a dog bed that was peed on the machine malfunctioned and locked with nasty dog pee water stuck inside. After dealing with the company for two weeks finally got a tech out. It needs three parts one backordered for up to a month. So for up to 2 months this nasty water will continue to rot the inside of my new machine. It stinks. Costumer service sucks. They continue to say that nothing can be done and that once they can get the part I stick and get it working the water will drain and just to use afresh to clean it. The water is so rancid I can’t even imagine washing my kids clothes after this is resolved. So disappointed in Maytag and their consumer service.

I purchased a refrigerator from the Maytag website in 12/2021. In April, the compressor went out. The fridge is still under warranty, but the compressor the service company cannot get the compressor - there are no compressors for this fridge in the entire USA. Maytag blames COVID for being unable to honor the warranty. They refuse to compensate me for the $400.00 loss of food, plus the inconvenience of not having a fridge. I have asked that they pick up the fridge and refund my money. They refuse. I have paid for a product that I cannot use, and I have no idea if or when I'll be able to use it. The fact that Maytag continues to sell products they cannot honor the warranty for is unacceptable. I have called multiple times, I have written a letter to which I have had no reply. This company is not the dependable company they advertise to be.

Purchased washer Nov 2021, Washer broke May 2022, waited on backordered part until July 2022, Washer still broke and needs another part that is backordered. I either want a new washer, a loaner washer while waiting on parts, or a refund. File # [protected] Purchased multiple maytag/whirlpool products from C&C Home Appliances in Lake Charles Louisiana. Our house was destroyed by Hurraince Laura and all Appliances had to be replaced, still waiting on some products to come in

I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot on 11/21/16. I've also purchased the extended warranty twice and am still covered. Starting on March 7, 2019 I have been having a computer error issue and my door is locked with my laundry inside. The same issue has occurred 6 times since. On 6/25/21 the tech replaced the computer, door lock & switch although he left with the door loose which made me wonder if the door lock was actually installed. I am now having the same problem. A tech was scheduled for July 12 but I was contacted and told he called in and wasn't coming so they rescheduled me for 7/19/22. I'm concerned as this is a different tech. The last one told me he was going to try replacing the pump and would bring a new pump with him but unfortunately that tech no longer covers my route. Now I'm concerned that the tech scheduled for 7/19 may not have the pump as he's been here before and is the one that left in a hurry and my door loose. As this is the 7th visit I feel that this machine more than qualifies as a lemon. Please advise me on my options. Thank you.

Maytag dryer only six months old. We have purchased a top load Maytag dryer from Home Depot six months ago. The motor went out on it! We have now been without a dryer for a month because Maytag has been very slow on getting the parts to there authorized repair company. This company has not been very helpful as well. Of course it’s under warranty but we shouldn’t have to go through this for a supposed great appliance manufacturer item that died in six months. Horrible customer service. Sat on hold for 30 minutes and never spoke to amyone

Much like others I have found my ice maker has failed on 07/08/2022 due to the wires at the bottom of the door having been pinched and severed during normal opening and closing of door. I have provided a photo of the severed wires.

We purchased a brand new $1400 Maytag Side by Side Stainless Refrigerator from Lowes on April 19th. By mid June the refrigerator side stopped cooling and we lost about $300 in groceries. We made sure no vents were being blocked as we read this was one of the main causes. We had already passed the 30 day return policy in order to return it to Lowes. We called Maytag and was informed that we would need to schedule a service call. A local repair person came out a week later and replaced the thermistor however a replacement part for the main control unit would need to be ordered. We were able to get about 5 days of cooling with the one part replaced. We were told the other part was on back order and now we are coming up to almost 30 days since the repair. When we reach out to the service person we are told they have no control over the part availability and we just have to wait. We have no refrigerator and now the freezer seems to not be working.

Maytag - Lid plastic hinge broke on a Bravo Maytag 21 months old was repaired by Maytag in April 2021. Now June 2022, 14 months later, the same plastic lid hinge has broken again. The latch does not engage to operate the washing machine. The parts are defective and it took over two months to get the hinge replaced in 2021. I am starting over to get this done again. There is nothing wrong with the washing machine except the hinge on the lid being broken.

I bought a brand new top of the line Maytag washer on March 2nd 2022. On June 23, 2022, it would no longer spin and empty water. I called Lowes where I bought it and also had a 5 year extended warranty. Lowes had Appliance Express come out and attempt to fix it. They found they needed to order 6 to 9 parts to repair it. I called back today June 29th, 2022 as I had not heard from anyone, only to be told 3 of those parts were on back order and to contact Whirlpool/Maytag. I contacted Maytag at [protected]. Maytag advised they had no idea when they would be in as no distributors even carried them all and that I had to call back in 21 days. So now I am out time and money and have to go to the laundromat to wash clothes. They offered no solution other than wait 21 days and if they have not gotten the parts, to call them back and see what else they can do, meaning wait weeks more to come to a decision. This is totally unacceptable. Here I thought Maytag would be helpful, boy was I wrong. Do not buy a Maytag washer as they are nowhere as good as they used to be.

i purchased my initial Maytag 2/2020 within a month it had quit. Lowes brought another washer to me, which i had the extended warranty. within a few months i begin to have problems after contacting lowes MULITPLE MULTIPLE TIMES for repair they can not find my extended warranty number. my washer has a horrible grinding sound, the lid is locked and will not open. I went to lowes multiple times to try to get help, they did not help. SHORT OF Filing a legal claim against lowes for my maytag washer, i have no other alternative. i am beyond mad. Attorney General, legal advise…. NEXT!

Bought a Maytag freezer in 2020. Ran ok till three days ago when it quit cooling. Ruined about $2000 in meat. Had a Maytag service guy out and said the condenser coil has a tiny leak and is unrepairable. Called Maytag they said it's out of warranty and can't do anything! Two years old!

I purchased a new Maytag 2019 washer and dryer from lowes and purchase 3 yr warranty then the lid ended up cracking as I’m the only one who uses it and repair man wants $550 to order replacement. That’s not good quality built. Tried to call Customer Service for 3 hours on hold. This should of been built better and I’m contacting BBB and attorney general to complain. I am not happy. Purchased new Maytag top load washer and dryer from Home Depot 06/03/22. Had to wait 7 days for delivery, brand new machine didn’t work. Maytag told me I had to wait another 9 days for any service or exchange. Home Depot employee assisting me indicated Maytag had problems with this washer but didn’t make consumers aware of the problems. Horrible horrible customer service and products.

Home Depot is giving full refund

I purchased a Maytag fridge, Model #MSS25C4MGZ06 on 12/12/2021. By the first week of April, the compressor went out. The $400.00 worth of groceries that I just purchased were ruined. I placed a service call on 4/13/22, and was told the compressor had to be replaced. Today is 6/10/2022 and still no compressor. Maytag refuses to compensate me for the lost food, refuses to replace the fridge, and is evasive about when to expect the compressor to be in stock. Worse still is I wasn't through paying for the fridge. I had to finish paying out the fridge without having the use of it. I am so unhappy with this "dependable Maytag product", and very unhappy with the options I have which are -0-, none. The only way this issue can be resolved is for them to replace the fridge, or pick it up and return my money to me.

2 year old washer in a 2 person household, gear box is junk, cost to repair is as much as we paid for it. Maytag will do nothing citing the age of the machine (really) and their lousy 1 year warranty. I purchased this brand thinking I was getting a quality product but their 1 year warranty tells you what they think or their own product. Needless to say this one is going to the junkyard and I will be replacing with another brand and spreading the word.

Terrible product would never buy again I have a washer that is 2 months old and can not use cause it doesn’t shut off in the spin cycle file for a service call 2.5 weeks again and was told someone will call me with a scheduled service, I have called several times even spoke with a supervisor who could do nothing except keep telling me they are working on getting someone out I have had to drag my clothes to a laundromat what a disgrace this company is
