La-Z-Boy says we have to wait over a week to order a new power box for my mother's recliner because their systems are down. Apparently it is too difficult to send a power box to her.
My mother relies on her chair to help with her poor circulation. On Friday, October 3rd, the chair stopped working. We called La-Z-Boy. The regular diagnostics ( batteries, reset, etc.) didn't work. They sent us to our ServCo. warranty. ServCo identified the issue as needing a new power box, but that La-Z-Boy was unable to send the power box because their systems were down for a week due to servicing.
I called La-Z-Boy Corporate Customer Service, La-Z-Boy sales where we bought the recliner, and La-Z-Boy Corporate Headquarters. They all gave me the same answer- cannot even place an order until Monday, October 13, due to the systems being down.
I don't believe that somewhere in La-Z-Boy there isn't a power box that an employee could send to my mother, who needs it. Worse, they don't care. They seem to think it's an adequate answer.
Recommendation: Don't buy one.
