Kia will not return my vehicle after taking it for recall.
On October 11, 2023, Kia sent a flatbed to my home at 122 Tristram Dr, Bozeman, MT 59718, to pick up my 2023 Kia Seltos (with approx. 1,200 miles on it), due to a recall regarding the electronic controller for the ISG oil pump assembly. My vehicle was taken to the nearest Kia dealership which is in Billings, MT, approx. 166 miles from my home.
On October 13, 2023, I received a text that an inspection was performed and a new oil pump was ordered; it would take a week, to a week and a half, to receive the oil pump.
I did not hear from Kia of Billings, so on November 6, 2023, I contacted the service department and was told my vehicle was ready to go, the new oil pump had been installed. I was asked if I had attempted to contact Kia Consumer Affairs to have my vehicle towed back to me in Bozeman. Of course, I hadn't, as I didn't know my vehicle was repaired! I was given the phone number for Kia Consumer Affairs [protected]. Thus began my ordeal of numerous phone calls to Kia Consumer Affairs, always being told a supervisor would call me back. I was given a case number: [protected]. My brother, Dr. Richard Nolan, had also called several times on my behalf, and was told the same. I never received a call back!
On November 10, 2023, I called Kia Roadside Assistance to have my vehicle towed back to Bozeman, MT. I was told since there was no Kia dealership in Bozeman, MT the tow would cost me $1,500! I cancelled the tow.
More calls to Kia Consumer Affairs only to speak with different receptionists, who told me I would receive a call back. I have never received a call back.
On November 22, 2023, I sent a fax to Kia Executive Customer Service at [protected] outlining the situation and my calls. No response.
I feel as though Kia has stolen my vehicle. I make payments of $611 per month to Kia finance, only to have my vehicle taken from me for almost 7 weeks with no replacement vehicle during that time, and Kia Consumer Affairs apparently denying bringing my vehicle back to me after their recall! The recall was not my fault, yet I am suffering without a vehicle for a great length of time. I am 73 years old, on a fixed income, and do not have a way to Kia of Billings, 166 miles away.
Claimed loss: Reimbursement of vehicle payments due to not having my vehicle returned to me...still not returned to me!
Desired outcome: I would like Kia to refund me for the entire vehicle and payments. I will purchase a new vehicle from another company who cares for their consumers.
2019 Kia Sorento JUNK
I have had my Kia sorento since August 2022. My husband was in a rear end wreck in September of 2022. The insurance company attemped to fix it instead of totalling it out. The person who hit us was going 60 MPH. The air bags never went off. This car has never been the same since. I have had it at the body shop for over 6 months to get fixed and I have had it at dealerships for over 10 weeks. The dealships are telling me that the blind spot sensors are not fixable and the insruance company just tells me they are reordering the parts. Now fast foward to 11/2023. I have electrial issues. Im going to have to have it towed to a shop to have it fixed and I have been quoted over $2400.00 for just the part. This is the worst car I have had and can not seem to get any help on how to fix it. I have a child that rides in it daily plus my self and I have a job that I have to get to. I can not just walk to work every day but yet here I am walking to work over an hour away becuase of this vechile. I can not put groceries in the trunk as the back hatch does not work. Im missing parts it has been froze shut bascally. I called over on 11/22/2023 to get the part and I was told a price of $94.00 I told them I would be over on 11/24/23 to pick it up. When I got there the lady had her back to us flipping through every screen as fast as possible and said oh no its $1700.00 for that part that she had to call her mechanic that they gave us wrong information. I then called back later that day and was told oh no that not even correct either its over $2400.00 for this part. I simply just wanted the part and being told 3 different prices to what Im assuming they do not even know what I need. I have always loved going and getting a Kia car but this one has done me in. I am stranded and no one seems to care. I have been told by insurance that you all should just total it out which is not your decision but I also need a car to drive.
Desired outcome: I would like some options on 1. how to fix back to how I bought it or 2. make it right so I can get something to drive. Im making payments on a car that I can not drive that has been sitting since September of 2022.
Complain against local dealer - bulgaria

I'm writing to you because I'm having a major problem with your local dealer in Bulgaria. I've sent an email to spare parts requesting an offer for the original rim for my Sportage model 2013 AWD petrol fuel, as well as the size of my existing tire and rims for that tire. However, the salesman was impolite and unprofessional, often repeating the same message without even attempting to grasp my request after going back and forth. Finally, he gave me a really harsh response, saying, "I'm sorry Mr. Elsheikh, but I can't offer you any original rims for Sportage model 2013" as I asked for the rims for free.
This type of behavior, I believe, is not acceptable under the mother's company policy, and it is not how they should treat customers.
In general, after this type of bad behavior, I will not buy it from a local dealer in Bulgaria; instead, I will import it from Germany and find a means to fix my car outside of a local dealer in Bulgaria because there is no assurance that I will receive better service in the local dealer shop.
If no serious action is taken against this type of behavior, I will have no choice but to never buy or use a Kia again after this car, and will make sure to warn all my connections about the local dealer via social media.

I'm deeply dissatisfied with my 2022 Kia Forte GT (12,000 miles) facing a second drained battery. Despite seeking help, the dealership turned me away, offering no immediate solutions. Kia's service quality has drastically declined, and the absence of Spanish assistance compounds the issue. I requested alternative transportation, denied despite a perfectly usable car. This challenges Kia's reliability. I question the effectiveness of the warranty and contemplate invoking Florida's Lemon Law. Urgently address these concerns and restore the service quality associated with the Kia brand.
ignored repeated calls until warranty expired
I began calling Aloha Kia in July 2023 regarding the delamination of my entertainment system. It would sporadically act up as far as the sreen going blank, loosing connection etc. I again called in August 2023 and each time was told someone would call me back. In September I called two more times being told the same thing. When I asked for the Manager I was told he was in a meeting and transferred to his voicemail. (He was actually off island). Begining of October I get a call back from the manager advising that the vehicle warranty expired and the issue wasn't covered. He apologized telling me the location had been sold and rebought and experienced it and phone problems and my calls, messages were likely not being forwarded. He had me bring the car in and documented it and I again started calling corporate regarding the warranty issue. I was told it would be elevated with all my documented calls to the dealership and corporate. We are now into November and I received and email from an escalation team advising my vehicle is out of warranty and I have to pay for the repairs. I am livid! I think this is horrendous customers service

Price gouging for knock sensor repair of 2017 kia optima
Daughter needed knock sensor replaced and dealership charged her $1700. From doing some research, typical costs (parts and labor) should have been $250-300. Daughter is a single Mom and Dealership took advantage of her knowing she had to have her vehicle repaired asap. I would like to contact the Better Business Bureau but thought I should contact Kia first to see if Kia can provide at least partial reimbursement for this exorbitant cost.

warranty null and void
I purchased a new 2020 Kia Rio January 30th 2021in Manta, Ecuador from the local Kia dealer. On August 14 2023 I returned to the dealership to schedule an appointment to have them look at problems I was having with the transmission. The technician asked where my car had been serviced and I stated only oil changes had been performed and at a local mechanic. He immediately stated my warranty was no good because oil wasn't changed at dealership and quoted prices for said diagnostics to be performed. I was under the impression this was a factory warranty. Me nor anyone in my family will be exposed to such bait and switch tactics by Kia ever again.
Desired outcome: In January 2024 I will buy a new SUV. I like the Sorrento but not without warranty as the dealership is no where close to where I live. I don't have a desired outcome. I have a Hyundai dealer close by.
2016 kia sorento engine
in March 2023, engine light came on giving us codes. In April 2023, we took the car to Hendrick Kia in North Carolina and discovered that the following: HEAVY ENGINE
REPLACE INTAKE CAM, ALL 4 CVVT'S, TWO TIMING CHAINS, TWO TIMING TENSIONERS 4,507.96
AND INSPECT FOR ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE ON REMOVAL
All items replaced and vehicle seemed to be better. On 9/29/23, went to pick up rental for out of state trip and my car started knocking badly, went from nothing to real bad on the 15 minute trip from rental place to our home. had towed to dealership on 10/18 after returning from trip (felt unsafe to drive it) we got the results back from Kia dealership and they stated rocker arm bent and engine now needed to be replaced and issue was caused due to running vehicle on low oil for long periods of time (which never happened; had oil changed about every six months). also note, that this happened so quickly that no code ever appeared on car beforehand and we also have it in writing that dealership did not see a code as well when they did the inspection. was referred to call Kia customer care to open a case and see if they would do a good faith engine replaced and was just advised today that they have declined but won't give me any reason beyond it was declined to be done. note: our car doesn't even have 80k miles on it
Desired outcome: our money or for them to buy back the vehicle so that we can go purchase something else

I dropped my kia off by tow truck on 9/'01/2023. While I was driving back to work my car suddenly stopped accelerating. I pulled over and nothing flashed on my dash as to why my car wasn't moving. She was able to go into reverse but not going forward. I was told that it was probably my transmission but I told him that the car itself had recalls on it and those had to be fixed first to be able to run a diagnostic on it. I kept calling for updates on my car for weeks. To be honest it was really hard to get a hold of anybody and I even pulled up to the Kia dealership itself just to get an answer. I was notified that the accuator needed to be replaced and that it was going to cost 2200$. Not what I wanted to hear but I needed my car back so I told them to go ahead and fix it. Then a week goes by didn't hear anything back so I called and then was told that the double clutch is also bad. That the computer wasn't reading to them correctly which caused them to misfire and no longer work. The computer itself was under recall. My total cost of everything was 3188.12$. I almost lost my business because I didn't have a vehicle to get back and forth in. Since the computer itself caused the misfire to happen wouldn't that be covered under the recalls?

Tire service
I called for roadside through my kia service contract, for a tow to Kia for service with tire couldn't drive. Call this morning at 8 am roadside didn't show up until 2pm, then I was told it would take 2 hours to get one new tire put on my 2023 Kia KZ , with less then 11000 miles bought from kia at Carson. This is unacceptable, no empathy or any concession for the inconvenience. The worse, every time I come for service it's always the same issue- make me not want to buy another kia ever. Today date is Oct 30 2023

Motor/transmission replaced / purchasing a car
Several years ago I bought a 2014 Kia Sorento. I loved the car. Recently the engine needed to be replaced and your company replaced the engine at no charge. I opted to buy new belts and coils at a cost to me at your dealership so I would have everything new. Two weeks after the engine was replaced, the transmission went out. The service dept. told me I would need a new transmission. I questioned them as to why the transmission went out just two weeks after the new engine. Every service tech I talked to basically blew me off and said it happens, and we can't help you. I recently went to the local dealership that had my car and told them I would like to buy another car but would like some consideration for my other car, since I believe it is because of the work you did on the engine that caused the transmission to fail. Everyone again blew me off and ignored my complaint. I ended up buying a car, I feel at an overpriced cost and received nothing for my concern. I felt ignored. Rather than post on Yelp every week and complain, I decided to contact you first. They did give me some money for the car as a trade-in, but I don't feel it was enough, considering the situation.
What do I want? I want to be heard! I want something to make me feel good about buying a car from one of your dealerships. I have a bad taste in my mouth, Honestly, I like my Kia; I am just not happy with the service. I would like some type of compensation for the car I purchased to show the Transmission issue.

My vehicle with registration number DL10CP8286 get serviced at Sparsh Kia Moti Nagar Delhi-110015 on 22-10-2023. In the service wheel balancing and alignment was also done for which they charged me Rs.1450/- but when I drove the vehicle very next day I find out that the alignment is still out for which I send them the video right then only on the service group created by them and asked them about the issue on 24-10-2023 but still haven't got any reply from them.
Last time also when my vehicle get serviced there on 22-02-2023 I raised this with them that the vehicle alignment is not done properly but again that thing was not listened as that was being done vocally due to which I'm writing this mail as I want things in writing now by Kia itself because I'm fed up by the dealer services. I was charged both the times for these services which was not done properly or I guess not done at all. Kindly look into this matter so that I wont get harassed again and again by your dealer.

Naza Kia was the distributor for Kia cars. Recently Dynamik Jaya took ownership of the sales and service. I have owned Kia cars since the year 2004. In fact i do have a Kia optima year 2004 clocked 276000km and its still running without engine or the fearbox failure.
As being a trust worthy brand. Then i bought my next Kia Sorento in 2012, Kia Cerato in 2016, Kia Carnival in 2018 & Kia Sportage and Kia Optima GT in 2019. With the number of cars lined up, it shows how i love Kia cars since 2004.
I had all the knowledge and expertise from Naza Kia, but i have my faith and trust down with Dynamik Jaya. They are so much focusing in saving cost and would all the possibilities to push back warranty related matters. You can read through email tread, it shows that my car bought in 2019 comes with 5 years with unlimited mileage claim. As taking over the Naza Kia ownership, my warranty had been terminated 1 year earlier for my Kia Sportage and 2 months earlier for my Kia Optima.
Furthermore, my dashboard started to crack and they claim it was due to cut with a knife. Transmission shift shock, has been open for more than a year, no action till now. They have come back with some solution to install a data logger, which doesn't make sense. Reason, it doesnt logs automatically when there is shift shock, instead i need to press a button to log in the data. By pressing manually, I would only do it after the shift shock and the data logger will not capture the data in real time. Ending up, the data logger will show no issue and most likely my claims gets rejected as usual. My question, if it hardware related and if ecu is not capturing the error, how could the data logger would be able to do so. They unable to answer. I hqve sent my for several occasions for inspection but untill today nathing was replaced for instance the valve body or the transmission filter if it would resolve the issue. I find Naza Kia was very responsive and fast tonaction on customer complaints. Dynamik Jaya is totally opposite. I am not sure how this helpes from a branding, Kia in MY will decline as a result of poor customer service and cancelling warranty earlier without proper notification.
Above is all about the Kia Sportage. On my Kia Optima, power steering had a screaming noice. Kia authorised service centre diagnosed and found it is relate to power steering, until now no action. Kia HQ expect me to drive from south to North which is around 350km to prove the power steering noise is coming from it. Video was taken and provided as evidence and yet, they are requesting to view themselves. Also, warranty suppose expires in May'24 but they claim Naza Kia submitted they claim expires in Mar'24. Vehicle purchased in May'19. The math still doesnt make sense.
I am not sure if this the right channel to escalate, please redirect me to the relevant department for further action. Thanks

I have a KIA Sportage 2018 model which I already bought brand new from Al-Jabr, Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, I have some serious problems with the car nowadays which I think are due to bad manufacturing. The panorama does not work properly. If it is open, it does not close easily. Consequently, I decided not to open it again. In addition, there is a big stain in the colour of the hood. Moreover, there are cracks in front of the passenger next to the driver. Finally, there is a strange smell once the A/C is turned on. I have contacted Al-Jabr and they informed me that I have to pay for all those problems to be fixed since the warranty is expired. My question is: Do KIA cars last only for just 5 years?

Kia in Quakertown Tim the service advisor
I am very disappointed with the service i received from Tim the service advisor in Quakertown p.a.
I had my car Towed from NJ to Quakertown for service on Oct 14, 2023.
Tim greeted me and told me where to put my car and that it would be Mon or Tues before anyone can look at it. That was fine with me. I then asked when will i be able to get a loaner until we resolve this issue he said you are on the list but we do not have anything right now. I called every day to see what the statis was he would say like i told you on Sat that it would be Mon or Tue before it would be looked at. I then asked about a loaner again he said i told you on sat and nothing has changed. It wasn't until i spoke to my male friend on Tues and explained to him how Tim made me feel every time i call because i was dealing with a lot already trying to get a rental so i can get to and from work and i told him that i didn't feel comfortable talking to Tim. He then asked me for all my information. He called and spoke to Amy and she was able to tell him more than i knew about my own car. He then called me back to tell me what she said. On Thurs Oct 19th i went to kia in Quakertown and spoke to Tim he said he was waiting on the resolution team. I asked for the number and called and was told that he has not submitted the case yet. I then called and spoke to Amy to request if someone else could handle my case and explained how Tim treated me. she said he left early and would not be back until Mon Oct 23rd 2023. My Friend calls again and he was able to talk to Scott and i received my car the next Day on oct 20th 2023 and it was not the engine that Tim said. Because of Tim i rented a car then returned it to find a cheaper one because of him i spent a lot of unnecessary money and missed work because of the added anxiety. I really would like to thank Scott for always being pleasant and helpful on all my visits since i owned my car.

My paint Job on my 2014 Sorrento
Hello I have a 2014 Kia Sorrento and the paint has cracked, split and fell off as thousands of other kia's... What is Kia doing regarding this issue.. This is my second time trying to contact you regarding this issue. My car looks horrible, No one should have to deal with this on a vehicle. Kia needs to make this right. As you can clearly see in my photos, this is just not normal ware and tare on the paint. Its a bad paint job just like the others, It should not show signs of rust either. :( come on Kia do better..
Desired outcome: I would like my car re-painted to look like it should.. I want a guarantee on the new paint job also.
Kia Sorento
I have owned this car from new and has always been garaged. It does have a few miles on it but have always been serviced by Kia or Hyundai. Last year the car developed a noise when you first start the car. I looked it up on Kia web site and found that it is a timing belt tensioner in which Kia knew was bad as they have a new part and part number for. This is an expensive job but Kia is not interested in doing anything about it. The most recent issue is now it is overheating, and Kia said I need to replace the engine at around $9,000.00 dollar because they are having issues with head bolts that were not correct.
I received a letter about another issue and that they would extend the warranty to 150000 miles. This car has only 120000 miles and I believe that both of these issues should be covered as they are known issues and very expensive.
Desired outcome: Dealer or Kia wants to help at all.
2023 KIA Niro
My 2023 KIA Niro has under 18,000 miles, it was towed to Riverchase KIA in Pelham, AL on 9/5. It is under warranty. It took them 3 weeks (9/26) to diagnose the issue. Since then, they claim they received a faulty part and would order another one and receive it on 10/10. I have heard nothing.
Last week I received a Safety Recall Notice, for which you have no fix. I'm afraid this is exactly what is going on with my vehicle. I want my money back or another new vehicle per Alabama Lemon Law.
I have submitted a complaint to the Alabama Attorney General - Steve Marshall and the Better Business Bureau. I'm paying for this vehicle, yet KIA has no options to fix it!
I need a car. I'm 62, and I have to ride my bike to work 2 miles each way, but it's starting to get dark outside and it's not safe with the broken sidewalks.

2021 KIA Telluride EX
Bought a used 2021 Kia Telluride with 25k miles and since we've purchased the vehicle the heater only works at max temperature. If you try to set the thermostat at any temperature below max you get luke warm or outright cold air. It also happens everytime the vehicle has to stop at a stop sign or stop light regardless of what the temperature setting is on.
The vehicle has been to the dealership a number of times over the last year where they've replaced the thermostat and radiator with no improvement. The dealership seems unable to diagnose the real issue or they know what the probelm is and refuse to admit their is an issue. Each time I get the vehicle back and read the paperwork they say the vehicle's heating system is operating normally. However, they're outright lying because the only way you are getting any heat is on high and high only. There's no midrange and still continues to blow cold air at idle or anytime the vehicle comes to a stop.
Desired outcome: The vehicle is fixed correctly or KIA buys back the vehicle at full purchase price. KIA needs to admit to the design flaw and fix it or face a class action lawsuit!!!!
KIA Sorento 2014
On October 12, 2023, I was washing the hood of my Pearl White, 2014, KIA Sorrento, when with no warning or any signs of a bubbles etc. in the paint, the paint just slid right off in three separate places on the hood. I have read 100’s of complaints today concerning this same thing, and especially with the Pearl White Paint. Apparently KIA is not accepting responsibility for this. My SUV only has about 85,000 miles on it and I had actually hoped it would be my last vehicle. KIA should be made to paint my vehicle.
