A few weeks ago during a rain storm, the SNOW WHITE paint on my 2020 kia started to bubble. After the rain stopped it went away. Then a week later it rained again. We had some wind with this storm and it popped the bubble. Ever since the paint has been peeling off in sheets. There is no dent on my car. This did not come from rock chips or anything I have caused. I filed a complaint with KIA directly. They told me I was out of warranty. I escalated the issue and they told me to go get an estimate from a KIA dealership. It is an hour and a half from where I live. I did that, then I get another message telling me again it is out of warranty and they will not provide goodwill assistance to fix it. I am responsible for all repairs. This is unacceptable. I have talked to another collision company and he told me flat out that this was a snow white KIA problem. He had seen it over and over again. He told me eventually my entire will start peeling too. I REFUSE to eat the cost for this. I will hire an attorney if I have to. With the multiple complaints and lawsuits KIA should be issuing a recall for this paint.
Desired outcome: I want KIA to take accountability for their defective paint. I should be getting my entire car repainted, but I at least want the hood repainted where it is peeling off.
