I only had one question and I wouldn't have moved forward with payment if the terms had been stated clearly. I have no use for this company's services and am very unhappy with their advertising methods. DO NOT USE THIS SITE unless you have multiple questions that you would need to ask over the span of a month. Seriously unhappy.

I asked a mechanic a question, he directed me to a form a told me he would answer my question for $1, after filling out the form, My card was charged $1 and then immediately $34. I did not authorize this, and so I called customer support. The lady was extremely rude, wouldn't give me a supervisor and told me there was no service that cost a dollar when the mechanic clearly stated it was only a dollar. This is fraud and i want my money back. I will be contacting my financial institution to dispute these charges immediately.

My 3 year old daughter was very sick and I was looking for help to see if she should go to the ER. I used justanswer and was explicitly told that they would charge me 2$ (fully refundable).

Beware of the misleading charges
I was told I would be charged a one time, refundable $5 fee before I could be connected to a doctor. I was instead charged $46 twice. When I contacted customer care I was told I should have reviewed their payment policy prior. The policy states you will be charged for a $46 monthly membership fee and only the $5 joining fee is refundable. This was purposely left out to me when I agreed to the $5 fee and their justification is that I should have done better. Total scam trash.

I was charged $34 for a question I asked sometime in July 2022 about a boat question. Nothing to my recollection stated that I was signing up for a monthly membership. I called to get a refund, which I noticed hit my low balance checking account on 9/5/2022 for $34 and shared with the representative that it was false and should be refunded to my account. She stated sorry, unable to repay. To my error, and this is how these companies work with auto memberships turned "on,"..learned I was also charged $34 in August as I missed this due to personal issues. Used once and shall never return! I have no problem paying for a fair service, yet this is 100% wrong.

I never signed up for a membership and requesting a full refund for the current month and last month as I had no understanding of this scam membership.
I was trapped in the same scam at 1000 plus response complaints on this one site.

Unauthorized charge for $34
Misleading advertising on the website. It told me that for $1 that was fully refundable I could get a question answered but it never stated that they were going to charge me $34 as well for a reoccurring membership. When I was billed immediately I was billed two charges. I right away contacted their customer service and ask for my $34 back because I didn't have a month's worth of questions I had one question. It never made clear that they were going to charge me $34 for a reoccurring membership. And I wanted my money back and they told me that I could discontinue my membership but they were not giving me my $34 back 5 minutes after they billed me for it. The website was deceptive it didn't say anything about the reoccurring membership on that page I would have had to go two or three pages in to find that out they should have just given me my money back.

However, a further debit shows on my bank statement for a service carried out ( allegedly) on 7/8 august for £35, which I did not approve and for which I received no service.!

I was charged $46 for a question that I asked on or about the 20th of last month at the charge rate for $1. There was nothing to my recollection stating that I was signing up for a monthly membership. I called to get a refund of that charge to which the representative "Queen(may have been Gwen, she had a thick undiscernible accent)" said that I could not be refunded the charge for the membership(the one that I neither signed up for or wanted) as the cancellation period had passed.
I got the "membership" cancelled, but no dough.

Deduction of monthly fees
I contacted your service two months ago and DID NOT receive the help I required. Since then I have been charged a monthly fee of $53AUD for a service I don't use and don't want. On 8/28/2022 I found Just Answer through a Google Search. The first page I was directed to said:

On the first pricing page it says:

I asked one question, than cancelled my membership. I realize now that the billing page mentioned the $34 monthly charge. However, as the two pages I mentioned above were misleading, I would like a refund.

Charging without customer consent and they are hiding their true cost to you
Went on JustAnswer for quick 1 simple question, the chat bot or "assistant/sales person" act like they want to know your question is, but redirect you to payment right away and stating that it's only "5" bucks for your "trial". Once you paid, they bill you twice, one for the "5 dollar trial" and the other "60 subscription".
Wait, i didn't heard of any subscription nor the cost, and I was certainly not ok with that. The most deceitful thing is that their online "assistant/sales person" really block you away.
I canceled my membership right after i found out the true/hidden cost of this "nearly scam service" and tried to contact their customer service for refund. No answer yet.

I contact just ask on the 26th July regarding a issue with my washing machine. A technician explained how to rectify the problem via just answer and a text message. For this service I was charged $41 and was told this service would be open to me for a period of 30 days. Due to the initial cost. I have now been charged an additional $41 when I no longer want to use this service so it is an unauthorized transaction that has been debited from my Police Bank credit card.

Like others in the comment section, I too was charged a membership fee after the initial $5 start up fee. Said I would get a refund after the question too. Purposely misleading language and then charged my account $46. Never wanted to pay a membership fee when I was told there would only be a $5 charge before membership would be implied the following month! Emailed them for a refund a complete stop to the supposed "membership" just to be explained what they were actually saying and explaining the charge. I told th to send my refund.

I spoke to the lady online regarding a washing machine troubleshoot advise, and she advised me that she can transfer me to someone but I have to pay a certain amount which was R15 which I paid, and all of a sudden R365.04 is out of my account from last month even this month. I signed up for one question in December 2020. I didn't sign up for a membership . Yet they billed me for 20 months at 48 euro per month . Yep stupid for not checking my bank account statement. But I never had this happen before. Sheer fraud the Internet is full of simular complaints against just answer.
They scammed me for 960 euro and no refund. Its ridiculous this type of billing practise is allowed

Refund of Monthly Fees
The just answer webpage said that its $1 for a question. I asked the question but never received an answer. I also received a $1 charge followed immediately by a $50 charge on my credit card. When I found out, I immediately call the contact center and was told it was a membership charge. I then tried to cancel the membership, which I didn't know I signed up for, and the contact center person hung up on me. I tried to call back and got busy signal. I then tried to log into the site to cancel the membership and was unsuccessful.
I just found another $50 charge on card this month. I have been told the membership has finally been cancelled but I'm also requesting the two months of membership fees credited back to my card for a service I had no idea I was signing up for and have not used since I asked the very first question.
Not being clear about the membership is a deceptive practice and should be stopped.

I asked 2 questions in July to their OBGYN's, I was charged the monthly fee, $46 and then $1 for my question... come August, the day the membership was to be renewed, I canceled it, they already charged my card, so I contacted them asking for a refund, and they REFUSE to give me a refund of the $46 for the month of August! They said because I asked a question...yes, I did, in July, and that month was paid for... I haven't asked any questions or even logged into the account since that question, except to cancel it. They still refuse to refund me. I will make sure all my friends and family know to NEVER use this site!
