Dear Family Dollar Customer Service/CEO

My name is Kesha Willis and I am a loyal customer of Family Dollar. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and frustration with the service I received at your store on Senia Road in Fairburn, GA (store #11634) on August 30, 2023.

On that day, I entered the Family Dollar to purchase some spaghetti sauce. As I approached the counter to pay, a fair-skinned young girl checked me out. My change should have been $5.23. I was given a five-dollar bill and two dimes. I asked the young lady if she was out of pennies because I didn’t receive all my change from my purchase. She replied “YES” with an attitude, then she turned around to the manager and asked if she had any pennies. The manager gave her a roll of pennies, and the young girl began to open the pennies and throw them on the counter at me. She also cursed at me and said some very rude words that I do not want to repeat.

The employee’s behavior was unacceptable and disrespectful. She threw my money at me and cussed at me for no reason. The manager did nothing to stop her or apologize to me. She just stood there and watched as the employee insulted me. I felt humiliated and angry. I left the store without taking my change or my receipt.

I demand an apology from both the employee and the manager, and a disciplinary action against them. They should not be allowed to treat customers like that. I also request a refund or compensation for the inconvenience and frustration I faced. I have been a regular customer of Family Dollar for years, but after this incident, I am considering taking my business elsewhere.

I hope you will take this matter seriously and address it promptly. I expect a response from you within 10 business days. If I do not hear from you by then, I will escalate this issue to higher authorities or take legal action.

Multiple times I was treated badly like I was being profiled like I was a thief and last time I was in family dollar the same manger wrongly accused me off shoplifting and in front of other shoppers it was terriblely embarrassing and I had done no wrong I hadn't been shoplifting she had no proof of her accusations and she told me I was banned from family dollar her name is Donna she is the manger of family dollar in Grayson KY

There is a miniature named Sonia at the Waverly Virginia Family Dollar every time I go in there she is very rude she makes me feel intimidated I don't even want to go in that store if I know that she's in there. I understand she's doing her job with asking for an ID but she proceeded to be very rude and asked me what are you trying to hide always getting someone else to buy your stuff for you and just making smart remarks.. I had went in there with my toddler one day she didn't have shoes on so I put her in the buggy she told me I could not be in that store with my daughter in the buggy with no shoes on so I left I go to the store very frequently I know the other managers and assistant managers Natalie and Tara they are very sweet. But like I said this Lady Sonia is just very rude every time it's not right to talk to customers the way that she does.

I went to your store 08\11\23 @10:21 and the system shut down. The employee had to reboot the system. The system came up and went down again. The customer behind me got upset, said she had to go to work and I was holding up everyone. I explained to the customer it was the system. She got angry and started threatening me. She kept saying what she was gonna do to me and going in her purse like she had a Gun. The Empolyees in the store, along with other customers, in the Store began to laugh. I couldnt leave I was due a refund. Im 56 years old I'm a Diabetic and I wear Hearing-Aids. The Manager should've explained and apologized, to the Customers about the System. They should've asked her to leave after the cussing and threats. They don't know if she had a gun or If I had a gun. They were very unprofessional and escalated the situation. You can view the footage at Store. please train your people, we dont want tradegy because of ignorance. I'm very disappointed in your hiring practice. Please hire individual's capable of problem solving and communication skills.

On 8/5/23, I went to The 1903 W. Main St. , Richmond, Va store to do my normal monthly basic house supplies shopping.

To be honest, I do not expect much when I go to this store, they have never been the friendliest or the most helpful. It is just convenient since I do not drive. With that being said, I have always walked away at least not feeling like I was an inconvenience to the workers.

The cashier I encountered this day was absolutely horrendous. She was rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to assist me in any way. I had to refrain from asking if she was ok, I know that would have just made it worse. Luckily someone was with me and witnessed her actions.

I was the third person in line that day, and the second to complain, and ask her to get someone willing to assist us.

I asked her how to use my digital coupons, she said I don't got a clue, folded her arms and stood there complaining about the previous interaction with someone else.

I had to request her to go get someone to help me, or I was putting my things back. I did finally get the help I requested, but again I have never felt unwelcome in a store.

If she doesn't want to work, then she shouldn't be there. I know this I am questioning if I will even go back to that store. At this point I think I am willing to pay much more just to have a decent shopping experience.

I know there's a stupid policy about customers not able to use the bathroom,but I'm peeved that my 85 yr old mom was turned away and ended up outside crying with crap in her pants cause she got sick. They should have made a exception for her. Wtf! The manager at the store could care less what happened,but if it was her elderly mother I bet it would be different.
