Dollarama - I would like to exchange the kinder eggs for something else my students would enjoy.

As a teacher, I purchased $70 worth of Kinder Surprise eggs for an Easter party for students in my high school. When the Kinder recall happened, it obviously was not appropriate to give them out, so went back to see if I could do an exchange. Dollarama - Can openers from dollarama don't work - just don't buy them

I bought a "Betty Crocker" can opener at Dollarama on Parliament St, Toronto. It is impossible to open it without ruining the package, and they have a no return no refund policy with a "however..." clause that says they might refund if the product is "in their original packaging", so it is a return possibility constructed to fail. Instead of getting 9.40, I got 8.40 ---- Just one dollar less

Dollarama - Bought a product by mistake valued at 5 $. Went back next day less than 24 hours to return it or exchange it.

All three managers were adamant at refusing to refund or exchange it saying they wrote their policy on the receipt and we are forced to abide by it. this is the end of civilization what they did. It is third world level of tyranny against regular customers. I will keep sending bad reviews all over the internet about this company.

Dollarama - Videocassettes & service @ place portobello

Not resolve b/c obsolete b anger off chest. B/c can voice irritation, will discard unpleasant remind. Bought videos f child TV watch later. Ok defectv 2, but 4! Hesitant buy more: Were shelf rest defectv. Manager insultd me. He said not theirs. I offend'd. Not askg money. Attn quality. Boil'g mad, found dif co. & boycottd. Bad manager prob promotd!

Desired outcome: Apology in order. Clients should exercise caution w DVDs/CDs as policy wrt quality may not have chang'd. DVDs & CDs more often defective than videotapes.

Dollarama - Employee

Today, Thursday February 24 22,

At 11: 05 I went into the dollarama at birchmount and danforth rd, Scarborough, I walked to the isle I needed where there was an employee stocking a shelf, I passed her to the end of the isle where I stopped picked up a pair of gloves, turned walked a few feet picked up tooth paste, in the same isle, walked to the cash, where I was met by 3 employees, I put my stuff on the counter, put the bag and a box that I had brought with me when I had entered the store on the floor, the one employee scanned my stuff while the other 2 employees were talking to each other in their own language, when 1 employee said I have to pay for the stuff in the bag, i said no i brought this in with me she said no you stole it, i was shocked i said no i didnt, it's a gift for my son from my friend, she said no you took it so pay for it, where we got into a verbal argument, there were other people in the store now all looking to see what was going on, i said i have only been in the store for maybe 3 mins, i just saw you in the isle, she said no, pay for the stuff, I was visibly upset, one employee said if you didnt take it why are you shaking just get out of the store dont come back, I asked to see the video, she said no, I said call the police she said for me to call, just get out, I have never been so embarrassed in my life, I was on my way to seeing son in the icu of st Mike's hospital, with a gift from my nabour, I left the store with the 3 women employees talking in their language, very un professional, disrespectful, I have heard this has happened to other customers, I expect at the very least an apology.

Dollarama - Manager

December 7, 2021. Dollarama Pen Center, St. Catharines.

I was checking walking through store and a very rude attendant came on speaker demanding a box of register tape. I was a little alarmed but continued on.

I went to cash out and what I now know as the manager was being exceptionally rude to an elderly customer. She was obviously having issues with the machine and her son was trying to assist her. They both asked for help. I don't know what the conversation was but the elderly woman was in distress and the manager was extremely obnoxious. The woman and son finished and I went to cash out. The young associate was assisting other customers and the manager very loudly scolding him for trying to help by saying that it's not his job to assist that why it's called self check out.

I finished and the elderly woman and son were trying to talk to the manager near the exit and she was continuing to be rude. I stopped and expressed that she didn't have to be so rude. She looked at me and said " oh you want me to get rude". I continued to exit where I heard her say I don't own the place. I walked back and asked her name where she gave me some excuses and told me to have a "fucking nice day". There were about 15 people in line who heard her and she laughed and walked away from me and the elderly woman and son.

I asked the woman if she was ok. She said she was but she was very upset. She had only asked the young man a question and the manager jump in and went off.

This "manager" is a poor example for Dollarama. Many seniors shop there as they are on fixed income and have very few options for quality items.

I would be embarrassed to know that my employee was representing my store in this manner. Yelling over the intercom, berating employees trying to provide customer service and then swearing at customers who are paying their wages. She needs to be removed from her position.

Dollarama - Counter service not available and they don't clean the scanners after every use.

Pembina Crossing Dollarama in Winnipeg refused me counter service and staff were unhelpful and manager did not me back. Called headquarters and when they called me back they were bad! I bought 2 of them in the 8 months, They cost $4.00 plus tax, The first one work for about 6 months, Then quit working, You could turn the handle, It would go around the lid of the can, But not open it, The second one i bought, Only work 4 times, And the same thing as the first one i bought, It would not work any more, I would advise no one to buy this can opener,

Dollarama - Check out service

I was waiting with my hands full of items to purchase and there were three employees standing behind the counter counting money and talking as if there wasn't a customer waiting. This took place at the dollarama on Jefferson and Main in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After a couple of minutes (without being acknowledged) the worker called me over. While she rang up my purchase, she stopped a couple of times to talk to someone who was behind me in line. She packed my bag and it was all torn. They were all from the same country and spoke in another language, almost like they were socializing. Since when is rhe customer not first anymore? Am I going to a social event? When I go into a store should I take a back seat and watch them socialize with one another and ignore the fact that I have places to be and transportation to catch. Your stores employees have no value for customers whatsoever.

Desired outcome: They need better training and to be told that when customers are waiting to SHUT IT UP!!!

Dollarama - customer service very rude and racist

on my lunch today June 29, 2021 I went to the Oakville Dollarama 290 North Service RD W. After got few things I need went to paid the cashier (can be a manager in that store) she said the dogs poo bag was broke no price so she can not scan for the price, I told her all few new one is very high and I can not get it. She told me sure she will send someone go inside and get the new one. After she's got the new one she's scan the new one and gave me the broken one I told her can I have the one not broken? The cashier she told me it's the same I told her no it's not because one complete and one is broken and paid for the new not the broken one. She told me next time don't come to the store ? I don't understand how she's can be that rude. I went back to my office and my staff told me she was rude to me because I am Asian? I told the office the whole story to see if I was wrong because I paid for the new one I have to get the broken dogs poo bag?
I didn't ask not to paid for what I want buy that cashier she has no right to talk to me or anyone else like the way she was with me
