The Family Dollar store in located at 1347 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne New Jersey.

On December15, I took my grandson to his favorite store to buy a few toys.

I am 65 years old grandmother and my grandson is 3 years old. I told the store Manager that I needed to use the bathroom. And she said that I could not use the bathroom. The manager named Maria stated that the restroom is ONLY for the Family Dollar employees. The manager was very nasty toward me and by grandson. I had to drive home to use the bathroom and my grandson is being trained and he had to use the bathroom too.

This was a very insulting situation. This is the year 2023 and this embarrassing act was uncalled!

My grandson informed his mother that the clerk at the store would not let me or him use the restroom. What a shame that a 3 years old had to experience this unselfish act. I am very upset!

I felt that this act was done because of the color of our skin!

The pots they sell are a rip off the black barrier comes off after one use causing me to buy multiple pans I live in the inner city and it’s sad we can’t even get decent cook ware that’s low on pots I don’t know what the toxic could be from using these pots but I don’t think they are safe to use I am very disappointed in there cookware it’s horrible what they sell to us to get rich.

I've been shopping at the Family Dollar Store located in Normandy Drive in Miami Beach for years. There have been many managers that have come and go, and all provided good customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the manager that was there on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 10:58 am. After purchasing a few items and was given the receipt, I realized that the amount on 2 items were not priced as stated. Before leaving the store, I approached the cash register (who was very nice) and told her the discrepancy. She told me that she couldn't adjust the price, but the manager could. The manager was sitting behind a column when I asked that she help me. She leaned forward and asked what the problem was. I asked her to come with me to show her the priced item as well as the sale item. When she saw the priced item, she said that the company is constantly changing prices and that was the price. When we walked to the other isle, I showed her the sale item. That isle was filled with sale item stickers. When she looked at it, she said that it expired on the 12th.

I asked her to honor the price because that is the price marked. She said she didn't have to do anything. She said I should have looked at the expiration date. The cash register associate was there and heard when she said that. I proceeded in telling her that that is her job and not mine.

She started to remove all the stickers on that isle as well as on other ones. When I went to return the sale item, she wanted to keep the original receipt. When I told her that the original receipt is always given back to the customer with the refund receipt, and I was going to keep it, she said that she would not do the refund. I had already inserted my card, so the refund went through. I don't know if she wanted to keep the receipt since I had written down her name (how I understood it) and her supervisors. I tried calling the following day to speak with her supervisor, but no answer. I believe the manager's name is Odelmi, and the supervisor is Yunesis. I will ALWAYS take the time to commend good customer service. Rarely, and I mean RARELY, would I take the time to call or write a negative review about anyone. Well, this is one of those RARE times. I was in family dollar yesterday and the same employee that was there the day before was there again today he told me that he was the only 1 that was there running the entire store now mind you that he had a store full of customers and the people in front of me had to baskets full of socks now mind you he has to ring each one up plus bag them now by this time the line is getting long while he's doing this and nowadays people don't have patients or respect for customer service people and they don't realize that it's not the employee fault they are there because nobody else want to WORK OR COME TO WORK and it's sad that the owner of these companies Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General care more making a dollar than their employees I use to do customer service and the main thing that I use to here is oh we have to cut hours cut ours for what you need people to work at your store stop putting money in your pocket and put it in the pockets of the people that come to work for your company everyday offer them more an with benefits I remember at 1 time those store use to be stock fully with plenty of help and now when you walk in one their shelves are empty or they have overstock all in the isle where you can't get down them at all The Presidents and CEO and branch managers and sales people to look at it from a customer service person point of view stop opening up new store fill the damn stores that you have open now and stop working the good people that you have to death. Just crazy!

I purchased items only to be charged again for items I returned this was on Thursday 01/12/2022 at 2:45 she said she returned items she did not she debut my card for items so she did not credit me for this I don't have the items and I'm out of almost 200 dollars I am highly up set and people are tell me it's nothing they can do I have proof I will submit it if needed please contact me

On 1/7/2023 this morning my wife was in the store doing her Smart Couponing (which you have a spot for on your site). The manager came up to the register and was very rude to her, refusing to accept her coupons. This isn't the first time with this manager. She has been rude with other friends. I'm sorry but, we can tell friends and all start shopping elsewhere but, do enjoy your stores

I purchased a seasonal item that was defective. I went to the store to just exchange it for another since there were still many on the shelf. I didn't want money back. The clerk would not let me get another that worked. Said it was seasonal product. He would not let me exchange it. I am talking about a $1.25 item. what has happened to customer service. I have shopped that store always. To think they would rather risk losing a customer for a $1.25 item is incredible. Is this the kind of service you want from your employees. This may seem petty but now its the principle. Poor service to an old 73 yr old woman who bought a toy for her grandchild. Thanks, Sandra Dee

to purchase some items. I went down the candy aisle and pick-up three Mars Snickers Fun Size 3.4oz for $1.00 a piece. When the cashier ring me up and I have already paid I notice that I was charge $1.25 a piece for the candy. I explain to her that the sign said $1.00 she said that she cannot give back the difference because her manger is on lunch, and I do not have her code to refund, and I will have to come back. I came back to the store to buy some more items and to get my difference of the money from my previous visit. The cashers explain to the manager about the price different and we owe him the difference money back, the manger spoke to the casher in Spanish and walk away. The casher said the manager said the price is $1.25. So, I walk down the candy aisle to double check and notice the manager crossing out the $1.00 price with a black marker. I ask her when I purchase this the price was $1.00. she said NO $1.25 and walk away, I ask her what is this store location number, she said it's on your receipt as she walks away.

The Family Dollar on the 68 in Golden Valley Arizona the employees that run the place two of them are rude as hell... the one girl insulted my intelligence when I was trying to ask a question because there was no chart for a pair of leggings I was purchasing needles to say my question wasn't answered I now have a pair of leggings she torn taking the security tab off and are to big for nor can I return them... I have been in customer service all my life... it is very unprofessional to hear your employees bad mouthimg the company... I am on disability and cannot afford to lose $12 or a $1... if you checked the Facebook groups here you would see I am not the only person who has complained about about how nasty rude they are... I would send a secret shopper or something... there are only 2 dollar stores here... I will not return the store after the girl threatened me as I was walking out I told her she was rude... her name was Leah she wanted to fight me she said you got something to say say to her face...

I have worked for family dollar 11033 since aug.2022 ans we do now have a manager in training but the store gets 1,000's of pieces of over stocked items while we continue to have empty shelves and items needed. Please see pics, this is of stock room that has a list of violations as u will see. More than store has space for!

Customer complaints, out of product, ubolts of merchandise not letting them move about to shop.

We really need to get rid of and cut down over stock of things that are still in back room for weeks to months?
