Family Dollar Manager Conduct

The manager Ms Brandy Holmes is very rude she talks crazy to customers and threats them which is very unprofessional for her to be a manager and acting the way she acts something really needs to be done about this situation i have been going to this location for years she cant keep workers because she talks to them crazy as well as puts everything on social media about how she tired of her job or she tired of her workers so that's explains why she taking it out on her customers as well as staff members i am surely positive this isn't acceptable or written in the employee handbook to act in this form of matter

Desired outcome: She need to be fired for her actions or else family dollar store gona have a lot of lawsuits coming in for the way she acts and conduct business as a manager

Family Dollar A worker

Im a regular customer of the Springfield Kentucky family dollar the manger Jennifer Downs is telling everyone at family dollar that I steal out of the store that's a damn lie she is going to every family dollar telling them that I steal I want this stopped or something will be done my family spends so much money there I love shopping there cause you all have what I want everytime I go I just need this stopped please

Family Dollar Customer physical abuse from family dollar employee

I went to 5410 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago Il Family Dollar at 5:56pm on December 1st 2022. The register clerk" Leeah" took my bookbag and threw it on the floor, behind the counter. I asked her to put my bag up on the shelf. She tossed it up on the shelf.

i decided then to leave and not shop in the store because of the way she was treating my personal property. i asked her to hand me my bag. Your employee held on to my bag, a tug of war commenced,. I cussed at her to let go of my bag. When she let go she threw it at me.

This store has a policy that all bags, backpacks, grocery bags, etc. must be placed behind the register counter before customers can go in and shop.

I'm really shocked that the Clerk was not told to stop by the Asst. Store Manager who witnessed the whole thing. The Asst, Store Manger "Tameeka" was on duty. All i wanted was my bookbag and your employee hit me with it,

I have filed a police report.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology. I would like Leeah and Tameeka suspended/terminated for customer abuse.

Family Dollar Service I received in a store in Phoenix, AZ 85035

want this email forwarded to Mr. Levine, I want him to know what kind of people he is employing in Phoenix. Never in my 58 years have I had an encounter like the one I received in your store in Arizona at 3605 W. Thomas Road Phoenix, AZ

The person I spoke to said his name was David Green, not sure whether that is true or not. This happened on Wed November 30th around 2:30 and 3:00.

Here it is. When I pulled into a parking spot I noticed a couple of people waiting by the entrance. As I got out of my car a woman (another customer) told me they were counting drawers and they reopen the store in a few minutes. Since when does a store to count the drawer? Then another woman walked up to the door and started knocking I think she knew someone who worked there. She then opened the doors and walked in. However, the door was closed still closed to the customers waiting outside. After waiting 20 minutes I gently opened the door to ask how much longer this was going to take. At that point, a black gentleman says in a loud voice. "Don’t do that, don’t that it’s very disrespectful!” (some women just waked in but I am disrespectful for asking how much longer) I said I am just trying to determine whether I need to go and shop somewhere else. His reply was “I don’t come to your house and open the doors and ask questions” My reply to that was Since when do close the store to count a drawer his reply “I don’t have a god-dam manager here, then says to me good luck getting rung up in here today and proceeded to tell the other employees “DO NOT RING HER UP” in a word “Outrageous!” That is when I asked for his name, I told him I was calling Corp to report his behavior, and his reply “I don’t give a [censored] if you call Jesus!” I used to love Family Dollar, but this whole experience left a very bad impression on me. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for someone who deals with the public, and I would hope that you deal with this accordingly. I was outraged when I left your store empty-handed. Like I said earlier, he said his name was David Green. Trust me when I say this guy certainly isn’t a valued employee, his behavior was disturbing and gross.

Family Dollar Manager of the store

I went into family dollar store 11-30-2022 at 2.30 pm the address to the store is 2714 Reed Road, Houston TX 77051 and the store number is 08856. It's a rude manger by the name of Alex he is a very rude man he has a very nasty attitude and he is being to customers to they had one lady working and it was 3 other peoples standing around others cashiers just standing around the chips I bought on 11-29-2022 was old n out of date and they stink to they smell like feet Alex don't have very good peoples skills how he became manger I don't know I betcha he's stealing money they something going on behind the other registers Alex n that boy n that girl needs to be fired Alex act like he didn't know what he was doing when he checked me out

Family Dollar Cashier

I made a purchase at the store when I checked out I paid with $100.00 bill my total was $20.22 the casher handed me my change didn't count it back to me she was busy talking to her coworker I left the store I went picked up my kids at school I did not atop anywhere else but when I finally got home and went through my purse realized that she had missed counted and only gave me 2 twenties 1 ten 1 five 4 ones 3 quarters and 3 pennies that 100.00 was the only money I had to my name so I knew she had made a mistake I looked back on my receipt and I called the store she said it had been 2 hours and they has already changed shifts

Desired outcome: I would like my $20.00 back as soon as possible she should count the drawer or watch the camera thats bullcrap

Family Dollar Poor management

Manager Lynette &Store Associate need to be fired! Today at Store #11776 while waiting in line the Manager Lynette started yelling and cussing at a customer for getting his cigarettes out of the cigarette case that was unlocked and open. She started yelling, "Don't go in my [censored]ing Cigarette Case! Every damn body knows not to go in these cases" She repeatedly walked back and forth cussing at the customer in front of everyone! The other Associate wearing the name tag, "Big Bray" was also making inappropriate statements and encouraging the poor Management behavior! This was very unprofessional and unpleasant to be exposed to while trying to shop. These woman exhibit poor customer service and does not represent your company well. The rage that came out of that Manager Lynette was unbelievable! She stormed pass me twice not taking in consideration how her behavior was making the customers feel. She wasn't concerned how her behavior was making your company look! Neither of these women offered any apologies to me or the other customers who expressed that we didn't like the inappropriate behavior or how we witnessed how she was speaking to that customer. She stormed outside and stayed out there a few minutes also cussing outside. I still could hear her on the inside while being checked out! They both need to be fired!

Family Dollar Store temperature set to North Pole!

Went to shop at the local Wausaukee Wisconsin store today and holy man! When I tell you it was freezing in that store, I am dead serious! It was like this a few days ago so I thought perhaps there was a problem with the heat. Nope! Still set at iceburg in the store today too! It is so gawd awful cold that I could not even complete my shopping. I think it is ridiculous that a customer has to complain in order for the heat to be turned on just to shop in the store. Then to be told that corporate controls the heat! Heck...it's easier to just start shopping at the Dollar General a block away! At least their heat is on in that store! So disappointed in their corporate office to allow their employees to freeze in that place while working, only because the company is too cheap to just turn it on! Sorry Family Dollar but if you can treat the employees like this by not giving the store heat...then I will not ever spend my money in your store again! Respect your employees and your customers! P.S. Store temp inside today, when I was there was a fridgid 47 degrees!

Desired outcome: I'd like to shop without icicles forming on my nose from the temperature in the store! I shoukd not be able to see my breath while shopping due to the cold!

Family Dollar Complaint

I pull up to the store at bout 9:33 as I was walking up the cashier was locking the store up leaving. I stated is you close she said yes I said im never coming back to this store ever time I come yall close taking smoke breaks. She instanly called me a [censored] an other un human names I just want it to be knew not only her but damn near ever working in there be out side store lock down an they smoking weed on the parking lot for hours that bad business all around

Family Dollar Store manager

The new store manager at this location is honestly. Not qualified to be in charge the employees get embarrassed in front of customers for being slow or not doing a good job or not doing things like a specific employee or the store manager is either [censored] talking one of her employees and comparing them to another in front of them all making them basically want to quit because she doesn’t like how they do something she doesn’t even out the effort to help or train them either as a witness she has told Cynthia that they employees don’t need to be trained at all they get told once and that’s all that’s her expectations if they can’t do that that’s why she verbally insults them and degrades them for not being the perfect employee she expected when she hired them . In my defense towards all these poor employees working for her after talking to a few working there now she is not training them at all she hired them and just threw them on the register they can’t even ask questions without getting told off by her for not knowing how to do something or calling them stupid or telling them to learn how to read that is abuse honestly what manager tells that to her employees then she goes off on them for not being the best store it’s not there job to make her look good the manager needs to learn to make herself better and learn to manager with respect the employees are not her punching bags I feel she’s even worst then the last guy who was the store manager before in order for her employees to get better she needs to be the reflection of that but she’s not . There are also times where she has told the employees to confront dangerous customers if they are stealing that’s not safe does she not care about the employees safety and the only reason I know this is due to the employees speaking out saying she isn’t such a good store manager that they rather quit then suffer her abuse that’s not right this is a good company and is deserves a good store manager not one that’s is worst then the last one .

Desired outcome: Should honestly have a meeting with her or have someone with the ability to manage the store and have respect for her employees instead of degrading them and putting them against each other

Family Dollar Atmosphere in the store

I was in the store and as usual the store was junky with things in the aisles. This is not what I'm really upset about. I found the taste in music the workers chose to play very offensive. The music had profanity words like F_ _ K and N_ _ _ A. I was very uncomfortable, when I shop somewhere I want to be comfortable, but this store is rachet, ghetto and the workers are just as rachet and ghetto. To be honest it is the second worse Family Dollar in Greenville. Hire new workers with more professionalism about themselves.

Family Dollar One of your employers

i went into the family dollar today sunday nov 27 2022 located on craft hwy chickasaw alabama i bought a thing of trash bag then i ask for a pack of egal orange 100 ciggys. the girl workng at the counter was black and very heavy set when she got the ciggys for me she then ask me well do you want these or not i had my money for them i told her yes then she snaped at me told me girl you better leave me alone and to go home. i then told her i was going to report her bad attatude she throw my change on the counter she is not a people person so why do you have that kind of person working for you? i call the store to speak to the manager she told me she was busy and to call later i ask her again to put the manager on the phone she hung up on me now i will tell you i will no longer bye from family dollar. every time i have been there in that store she has been rude. also she did not give my receipt to me. i am 66 years old and i have used family dollar for years but i will no longer use your store untill you get the right people in there who is a people person, i will take my business some whee else. my name is patricia Edmond my email is [protected]@yahoo.com

Family Dollar Managers

The store on Vanborn and Inkster rd needs to be looked into. Store 12298. I hears customers complain about the store manager Terri and how she is either on the computer sitting down or in her car smoking and not around when her cashier's need her. The employees would have to leave their register to go outside to get her for help and she didn't even let them know she was stepping outside. Very unprofessional and I experienced the same after getting a job at this location. Customers got mad at us because prices were wrong when it wasn't our job. That caused a lot of anxiety for me because they would yell and curse which made me nervous and I would mess up and Terri was outside in her car smoking and didn't let me know she was stepping out. I had a line of customers and she would not help, she would just walk away. I worked there for about a month and have heard the same thing from other employees and customers. She does not train people properly, she doesn't lead by example and expects her employees to do the jobs of two people when the store is understaffed and she doesn't help at all. Her assistant manager Demetri has the mindset of a sexiest person and he is the only working male that takes over the heavy stuff because according to him, women are weak and he tries hitting on the female customers all the time. Overall he is a toxic manager that also does not help the cashiers when we needed help. He has made a pass at me even though I am under age. This store needs to be looked into. This store can't keep an employee longer that a month and from what I have seen and heard, it is because of Terri, the store manager. I have tried to get in contact with human resources about the matter with no luck.

Family Dollar product not at pick up store

i ordered cat litter by accident, i was checking the name of the cat litter i buy online on family dollar and i didn't even log in to family dollar and it took $12.72 off my account from paypal for 6 bags of lasting pride 7lb bag cat litter and it said for me to pick up at 13th street family dollar in harrisburg pa, it was order nov. 12th 2022 and it took money out of my account on nov. 18th 2022. i went to store several of times and called and they don;t have the order either give me my money back or the cat litter. i am very frustrated because i am on disability and don;t have money to give out for nothing.

Family Dollar The Family Dollar #6669, is closed several times!

I was wondering if you could tell me why the Family Dollar at 890 N. Lake St in Aurora, IL. 60506, store # 6669 is closed a lot of the time? I have tried going to that store 4 times in the last 3 weeks and they have been closed 3 of the times out of 4. They have been closed at 4:00 pm, it's not like it was a couple mins before closing! They last time was last week and they had a sign saying the power was not on, posted on the door, but all the lights were on, another time the sign said, Closed due to the registers not working. Do you realize how much money you are losing out on? This last time we went to Dollar General down the street and spent 131.00, which could have been spent at our store.A lot of ppl are complaining through out the neighborhood. That is not good at all! Family Dollar Product wasn’t where it was supposed to be an it was different price than I expected

My mother is 72 yrs old an was arguing with an employee at the family dollar store 9302 miles Ave Cleveland ohio an one the the employees was very argumentative with my mother and it resulted in my mother being physically thrown out of the store door onto the ground my mother has a been to the Emergency Room three times since Thursday I’ve been trying to call somebody to discuss this issue an situation police were notified an it’s going to be an investigation the worker and the other worker who took the liberty of pushing an elderly lady to the ground is unacceptable im in the process of pressing charges on those responsible and I will be taking other actions as needed

Family Dollar Phone call

I called the Family Dollar in Madawaska Maine, to see if they happen to have any Christmas trees left, being my town Family Dollar was out of them. I did not want to drive all that way if they did not have any.

Sandy, who answered the phone said, "you just need to come in and shop." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I said " Excuse me?"

She repeated herself saying, "Ma'am, you just need to come in and shop". I replied. I live 40 minutes away, and did not want to drive there if yall did not have any, however, I'll just report you instead"

What kind of customer service is this? If this type of attitude is running your store, of course people would rather drive two hours then give this store our business. I'm honestly disgusted by the lazy attitude and rudeness presented by "Sandy"

Call was on 1122/2022 at around 11:30-11:45 call placed to the store in Madawaska Maine.

Desired outcome: Maybe I could suggest, that yall have a training on how they are to treat potential customers, and an apology number is [protected] my name is Chantal Hayes

Family Dollar Cashier

I was at the family dollar/Dollar tree store #01041 206 Ocean HWY S Hertford

NC 27944 at 0903 on 11/22/2022

The cashier was very rude she put my bag aside, and she didn't hand me my receipt. I had to grab it myself out of the machine. There are enough place to shop. If that is the way your people treat someone who spending their money. I will go somewhere that the cashier knows how to do their jobs.

Family Dollar 19th and cactus

The lady was rude she tried to come grab the clothes out of my my hand and she f****** wouldn't sell me the clothes I tried to purchase and she's f****** grabbed them out of my little daughter's hand also she was very rude she was very not professional at all and something needs to be done about that driving stuff out of people's hands and not selling your guys's product to us I think she needs to be fired

Family Dollar Return policy

I purchased 3 floor rugs on Sat. 11/19/22 in which I paid cash for them, I discovered that the rugs were too big for the areas that I needed them for. I returned the rugs on Sun. 11/20/22 to the same store they were purchased from & was informed by the cashier, that because of the amount due $32.94, It had to be returned to me on a gift card. I was stunned & confused, I paid cash for the product & it was returned with a receipt within 24 hrs & you're telling me because it was more than $5 it had to be on a gift card, the cashier stated " This is Family Dollar's Policy, but I will verify this with my manager, per the manager, she also stated this is what Family Dollar has them doing. Why is this a policy, what is the rationale behind this, I could see if you had NO receipt & used an alternative payment method, Now I am FORCED to come back to Family Dollar & spend $32.94, where it should have been the cash back in my wallet, the rugs were a specific item that I needed in that price range, that doesn't mean there is anything else I need to spend that amount of $ on. For anyone customer or potential customer who reads this complaint, If you think you may have to return something for ANY reason & you pay CASH for it, make sure it is NOT over $5 or they will give you a GIFT CARD, Buyer Beware!
