Store Manager or employee is a racist
I was shopping this past week at the family dollar dollar tree store here in Sebawing Mi. When an employee (white female really short hair maybe manager) commented to the cashier as a black woman entered the store she was "going to head back and watch the cameras" because "that" woman was probably stealing.
I do not know the history or background but found it totally uncomfortable that this employee would make this comment out loud in front of customers. I wish I could have recorded or tweeted this because others would also find it totally inappropriate.
I shop at this store all the time and was the first time I saw this employee must be someone new.
Desired outcome: Employee should be removed if racism continues next time I see this shopper in town I plan on sharing what I overheard.
Visa card
I purchased a Vanilla card for Christmas in the amount of $50.00 at your store in Bishop, CA #12264. My mom is old and not computer smart so once I got back home on 12-11, I unpackaged the card to activate it for her. The card was no good so I called Vanilla. Apparently, someone had used it in Bishop on 12-11 for a debit of $50. I didn't understand this, nor do I know how anyone could have gotten the card information as it was still sealed and in my purse until 12-11. But for it to be used in Bishop on 12-11 could only mean a store clerk had used it. I bought it in Bishop and it was used in Bishop. I bought it on 11-30 and left Bishop the next day for Yucaipa the next day. So the only person with the information for the sealed card could have been either the clerk or supervisor authorizing the activation of it. Again store number 12264, supervisor number 7109374 on 11-30 at 16:29. When I contacted the store they were of no help, I filed a theft with Vanilla and will be filing with police if possible. If this is not resolved I will no longer shop at Family Dollar anywhere. Thank you for your assistance.

An employee
An employee was rude to me in front of everybody I had money on my card My card Works everywhere else But I was having trouble at the Gloster MS family dollar The card shut down The card reader I went and got cash because the lady told me to when I got back to pay for my stuff the card reader was still down And a lady that was checking out Ask Why is the registered down the employee then said it is her fault everybody looked at me I told her well I don't want the items I just want the candy I paid for with food stamps Before I went and got cash I got my candy and left But she was so rude and I I told her my card had money on ITIT was not my fault so Embarrassed I told her my card had money on IT was not my fault But she preceded to blame me In front of everyone I will not be shopping there anymore It was an African-American lady and normally she was nice to me But I have never been treated like that And will not be back.
Desired outcome: I want that lady fired she has no business working there If she can't be around other people and be civil If she treated me like that she would treat another customer like that
work integrity
i quit a week ago from store #11981 reason being the SM Louis Heminger constantly accused me of stealing money, i even got demoted and signed papers.. his paperwork always looks ok but its bogus! why would he never go to cameras to verify everything i was accused of? "Because hes the boss and dosent have to" is what he told me? will video match paperwork? NO IT WONT! so im considering filing a Lawsuit but am unsure if thats the right course of action.. i go to family dollar to make deposits on my chime card often. on november 28,2022 i gave cashier $500 to deposit but realize the next day it was only $300 she put on my card. the manager said i gave only $300 on the video but it was $500 the camera isn'clear enough to see my five $100 bills. i need yuo to look into this. i dont have money to give away like this. in the video you will see me unfold 2 $100 bill and put it with the 3 straight $100 bills. the manager say it was 1 $100 bill but if your store camara was clear you will see it is 5 $100 bills the cashier laid on the counter and marked. also when i make deposits like this it is always $500.my receipt # [protected]
Desired outcome: check your cameras to see that i gave cashier $500 the manager showed me a screen record that wasn't clear where she can see my 5 bills and return my $200. also fire you cashier and manager for how they handle this situation.

Customer physical abuse from family dollar employee
I went to 5410 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago Il Family Dollar at 5:56pm on December 1st 2022. The register clerk" Leeah" took my bookbag and threw it on the floor, behind the counter. I asked her to put my bag up on the shelf. She tossed it up on the shelf.
i decided then to leave and not shop in the store because of the way she was treating my personal property. i asked her to hand me my bag. Your employee held on to my bag, a tug of war commenced,. I cussed at her to let go of my bag. When she let go she threw it at me.
This store has a policy that all bags, backpacks, grocery bags, etc. must be placed behind the register counter before customers can go in and shop.
I'm really shocked that the Clerk was not told to stop by the Asst. Store Manager who witnessed the whole thing. The Asst, Store Manger "Tameeka" was on duty. All i wanted was my bookbag and your employee hit me with it,
I have filed a police report.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology. I would like Leeah and Tameeka suspended/terminated for customer abuse.

The person I spoke to said his name was David Green, not sure whether that is true or not. This happened on Wed November 30th around 2:30 and 3:00.
Here it is. When I pulled into a parking spot I noticed a couple of people waiting by the entrance. As I got out of my car a woman (another customer) told me they were counting drawers and they reopen the store in a few minutes. Since when does a store to count the drawer? Then another woman walked up to the door and started knocking I think she knew someone who worked there. She then opened the doors and walked in. However, the door was closed still closed to the customers waiting outside. After waiting 20 minutes I gently opened the door to ask how much longer this was going to take. At that point, a black gentleman says in a loud voice. "Don’t do that, don’t that it’s very disrespectful!” (some women just waked in but I am disrespectful for asking how much longer) I said I am just trying to determine whether I need to go and shop somewhere else. His reply was “I don’t come to your house and open the doors and ask questions” My reply to that was Since when do close the store to count a drawer his reply “I don’t have a god-dam manager here, then says to me good luck getting rung up in here today and proceeded to tell the other employees “DO NOT RING HER UP” in a word “Outrageous!” That is when I asked for his name, I told him I was calling Corp to report his behavior, and his reply “I don’t give a [censored] if you call Jesus!” I used to love Family Dollar, but this whole experience left a very bad impression on me. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for someone who deals with the public, and I would hope that you deal with this accordingly. I was outraged when I left your store empty-handed. Like I said earlier, he said his name was David Green. Trust me when I say this guy certainly isn’t a valued employee, his behavior was disturbing and gross.

I was in the store and as usual the store was junky with things in the aisles. This is not what I'm really upset about. I found the taste in music the workers chose to play very offensive. The music had profanity words like F_ _ K and N_ _ _ A. I was very uncomfortable, when I shop somewhere I want to be comfortable, but this store is rachet, ghetto and the workers are just as rachet and ghetto. To be honest it is the second worse Family Dollar in Greenville. Hire new workers with more professionalism about themselves.

i went into the family dollar today sunday nov 27 2022 located on craft hwy chickasaw alabama i bought a thing of trash bag then i ask for a pack of egal orange 100 ciggys. the girl workng at the counter was black and very heavy set when she got the ciggys for me she then ask me well do you want these or not i had my money for them i told her yes then she snaped at me told me girl you better leave me alone and to go home. i then told her i was going to report her bad attatude she throw my change on the counter she is not a people person so why do you have that kind of person working for you? i call the store to speak to the manager she told me she was busy and to call later i ask her again to put the manager on the phone she hung up on me now i will tell you i will no longer bye from family dollar. every time i have been there in that store she has been rude. also she did not give my receipt to me. i am 66 years old and i have used family dollar for years but i will no longer use your store untill you get the right people in there who is a people person, i will take my business some whee else. my name is patricia Edmond my email is [protected]@yahoo.com

i ordered cat litter by accident, i was checking the name of the cat litter i buy online on family dollar and i didn't even log in to family dollar and it took $12.72 off my account from paypal for 6 bags of lasting pride 7lb bag cat litter and it said for me to pick up at 13th street family dollar in harrisburg pa, it was order nov. 12th 2022 and it took money out of my account on nov. 18th 2022. i went to store several of times and called and they don;t have the order either give me my money back or the cat litter. i am very frustrated because i am on disability and don;t have money to give out for nothing.
