Family Dollar

Greetings,

I've never considered myself "Too Good" to shop at Family Dollar. I shop at various locations throughout the US all the time. On January 18, 2023, I attempted to enter the door at 5417 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. The cashier, Joan, immediately stated, "Ma'am you cannot enter our store with that bag." I looked at her strangely and said, "excuse me." Joan repeated herself, "we have a policy that no large bags can come into our store." I replied, "Isn't that illegal? I've never stolen anything from this store, why is my bag banned." Joan continued, "there's a sign on the door and you cannot come in with that large bag." I looked around at other customers to see if their bags were about my size, I could not tell. I began to walk out and said, "I will never come to Family Dollar again. What is your name?" She said, "Joan." Family Dollar, here we go, I will never patronize any of your stores again and I will tell everyone I know to stop shopping there. I will take my "big purse, big wallet, big money, to somewhere else to shop. I don't steal, I work hard and pay for everything I want and need. Keep your small bag policy. For years, I felt Family Dollar may have been beneath me, anyway.
