I rented a car on line by the time I was ready to pay they doubled the price claiming that I had purchased Total Protection (Insurance) I emailed them refusing the insurance and called them modifying my reservation to the original price of 206.29 Eu. The agent in the phone advised m that they would refund the difference. They have never refunded my money. When I tried to call them they give 3 options; 1 for renting a car, 2 for problems while you are renting and 3 for customer service. Guess what? they answer 1 and 2, but when you try #3 you get disconnected.

I made a rent through the Economy Bookings page. When I reached the end, after having entered the bank details and paid, the system told me that it had not been processed, that it called. I put all the data back in, and he told me the same thing again. I phoned, and nobody answered. I used another rental website that worked without problems.
When I realized, they had charged me 2 times the rent. I called them, I explained, no case. I wrote them, no case. They have stolen my money and they have not given me any service.
Nothing recommendable, they rob you, they are thieves.
car rental agent never received the downpayment paid to economybookings
Recently, I booked a car in Tasmania from Economy bookings website and was told to pay a downpayment of around 120$ upon the booking.
When I went to Tasmania as per schedule, I was told that the agent of the car rental never received any downpayment and thus we were told to pay the full price again. They told me to check with economybookings regarding this matter which I did but havent got a response/reply so far!

Booked a car online through Economy bookings for 266$ including insurance and taxes, only to arrive at the rental company, Green Motion in Orlando, and get told (after waiting an hour in line with two screaming children) that they dont have our rental then find a rental and refuse to rent to us if we do not purchase the additional insurance (we already have rental coverage). When the person in line beside us tried to tell us we didnt have to say yes, the staff at Green motion Snapped at him and my husband to stop talking about it and insisted we pay the insurance. The entire car rental cost went up to 410$ plus tax. We refused and my husband demanded a refund on the deposit of 84$ and we were told too bad.
Called my credit card company immediately to dispute the charges, and then called economy bookings and was told unless I stop the complaint I lodged with my credit card company, I wouldnt receive anything back. I refused this and asked if I would get a full refund. The answer was maybe they would consider some type of refund if I stopped the investigation, which was obviously a threat on their part.
Now considering legal options as this company obviously scams others. 3 others in line at the rental company went through EXACTLY the same scenario.

Made car reservation threw economy booking #b71541956 for west palm florida requested full car coverage insurance paid in ful with russell cs rep. At economy booking.. Car was threw dollar rental arrived at dollar rental was informed by ali (who didn't speak english well to be assisting any customers) with a cooky rude ignorant attitude (that I was not going to except)... Mr ali informed I did not purchased any car insurance for the car being rented showed him a copy of the full coverage he would listen or let me speak.. I had to repurchase insurance again.. Couldn't reach economy to clear issue had to pay additional 246. Us dollars for a service already paid but was not provided. Called economy booking 6 different times to be told the following "russell will be in work in 2 hours (by the way they are located in europe latvia) to he's not in today, call tomorrow, then he's on vacation.. Call next week... Ignorant sarcastic arrogant worst unprofessional cs. I ever encountered I will never deal with such scam con artist. Beware. Take copy of your home auto collision policy. Please dont buy any car insurance with these rental copies. Total rip off! A disaster. I will never deal with any third parties in future please people do the same. Im very dissatisfied disappointed irritated. Live and learn from other bad experience. This is not over yet. Car also had no windshield fluid had to buy some at auto zone. Will continue this journey next week with russell returns from his vacation. Hope his vacation was better then my mine.
wrong car from what I ordered
On wed. Evening I booked with what I thought to be advantage car rental, asking for a intermediate or full size car. When the booking order was emailed it had it as a small car with not room for luggage order for me. I have been trying to reach them by phone but because they are not in the usa I have not been able to reach them as yet. They are not in our time zone. If I knew I would be dealing with some company that out our country I would have gone with some one else. I have received the confirmation since then. Still wrong.

Hello there,
I booked a one-week reservation for a compact car with dollar through your website. I picked up the car on Sunday, June 3rd but I have to return home today because of a Family Emergency. When I arrived at the airport before the pickup time yesterday, there were already so many extra charges that the website did not list that I had to pay for. I tried in vain to call and cancel the reservation but I was put on an endless hold.
Having the car for one day has already cost me so much more money than I was willing to spend. I had to pay tolls, and add another insurance because the representative at dollar said the insurance I purchased through your website was insufficient. She also directed me to call for a refund, and cancel the insurance. I have had the car for less than 24 hours and will like a refund for the cost of the car and insurance remaining 6 days.
I have filed a claim through an email address that was given to me by a customer service representative, but I have not received a reply in two days. Email is [protected]@yahoo.com

I reserved a car through the Economy Bookings onlibe srvice for pick up from Budget at Tel Aviv Airport. Reservation number: B53878949. They charged me a fee upfront. When I arrived at my destination there was no car reservation for me and Budget wanted to charge me a full price. Economy bookings customer service is just a phone message. No one ever called me back. This is FRAUD! Beware, they just take their fee upfront and disappear.

I had a very bad experience when I rented a car via Economy Bookings in Dec 2017. I reserved a car via internet about three months before my vacations. I arrived in the picking up place nearby Madrid Barajas Airport and it turned out that EconomyBookings hadn´t booked the service with the vendor. I had my confirmation, but Economy Bookings confirmed to me without having received the confirmation from the supplier. I called EB and they treated me super bad. They promised they would refund what I had already paid (which they did after four months), but the point was that I had to pay the double of what I expected to pay because for the supplier I hadn´t reserved with anticipation, so of course the fee to rent the very same day without reservation is more expensive. All this, of course without mentioning all the time I spent calling again and again, because these people from EconomyBookings even dared hanging up the phone because I was of course angry (cinically a guy with indian accent told me "I´ll finish this call"). RUN, DASH, SPRINT away from this company! Economybookings.com is pure SCAM from what I can tell. Not even a question.
I'm a mom trying to book a budget trip for my family and following an ad online, I called their number to inquire. They ask basically no questions during the booking or give you very little information on what the details are of your rental.
It sounded okay, so I booked. Within a few minutes I received a number of confirmation emails from them which looked HORRIFYING and totally NOT what had been discussed or that I had agreed to. Within 10 minutes of booking I had called them back to immediately cancel. The rep agreed but told me I would be charged a non-refundable cancellation fee of around $36-$39.
I explained that as a customer I should in no way be penalized or charged a fee for something I absolutely would NEVER have agreed to had the previous representative disclosed any one of the following pieces of information:
- The rental company I was booked through was called Rent-a-Wreck. Not your standard, reputable company I was expecting. The name alone makes me wonder if these are salvaged title vehicles, or what, I have no idea.
-There was a 600 mile mileage limit per weekly rental. I knew I would travel well over 600 miles on this trip so that never would have worked for me. I didn't even know anything other than unlimited mileage existed. These are pertinent questions a reputable company would confirm with you prior to booking.
- One confirmation email congratulated me on purchasing full coverage insurance on my rental. Absolutely no, not ever once even part of the conversation or pricing breakdown. My guess is this is where all the extra charges would come in at pickup time.
-A whole rundown of banking information and legal address info based in Latvia, etc. I'm not totally opposed to companies being based in other countries but it adds to the sketch on top of everything else.
Customer service is clearly a racket — they are accustomed to and know how to work the disgruntled customer wanting to cancel or complain. They quickly allow cancellation but with a fee. When told that's not acceptable, there is nothing they can do. No, there isn't a supervisor to speak with and support is not available at this time (ever).
They give you an email address to support which you are welcome to use — all of which go unanswered, even days and weeks later. They will leave you on hold for 12 minutes before hanging up on you. SO many "dropped" calls. I finally get through, give my name or booking number, am cut off mid-sentence and told they understand only to be put on hold and immediately disconnected. It's awesome.
staff supervision and rental prices
I booked a 7 seater car which was quoted at just over £900 for a 13 day hire.
The confirmation and payment taken was double the amount and we called the call centre which is in Latvia to ask for refund.
We were first advised that they could refund the amount we hadn't asked for and then later told the car wasn't available.
The full refund was to be issued but would take 10 days, by which time meant cancelling our planned holiday and flights.
I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor to expedite the funds urgently but was refused this. The agent advised that there were no managers or supervisors there. I found this to be totally unacceptable and was now very angry whereby the agent hung up the call.
Not only did the agent refuse to give her name when asked in order to make the complaint about the inconvenience caused. She wanted to make her point instead of having any concern about the distress caused.
There has to be supervision at all times in any call centre handling large amounts of money and the public.

I rented a car which they were advertising at $11.84 per day with Dollar — I have rented cars before through Travelocity for as low as $7 per day. EconomyBooks does not give you a total until you've entered your credit card plus if you cancel within 48 hours (which mine was a last minute booking), they charge you $50. So I got my total for four (4) days $140, which I though being spring break, and picking up at the airport, that would be about right. Then when I printed my invoice, I noticed it's some foreign company doing business in U.S. The invoice does not say what it is you are paying for!
At the airport pickup from Dollar, they asked me if I wanted to prepay my fuel, to which I agreed.
When I dropped off the car, the Dollar rental car lady says I owe $39. I said I already paid for my fuel. She says it's not for the fuel, its for the taxes on the rental. Check check check to see if what you are paying is the total amount
Next time I will stick with Travelocity. from them, what you see is what you pay!

I reserved a Nissan Maxima but I received a Ford Fusion. I was told I get a refund but you charged my credit card the full amount. thru Thifty Car Rental. On Monday December I made a reservation for a Nissan Maxima for December the sixteen thru the eighteen. but when I went to pick up the car. they gave me a Ford Fusion. I paid for a Premium car not a Ford Fusion. they said they over booked. I want a refund because a ford Fusion is a full size card. and the Nissan Maxima is a Premium car. My Name is James E. I made a booking yesterday with EconomyBookings for a car in Los Angeles. They confirmed my reservation with Right Cars and after I made the booking, I checked the reviews for Right Cars and they are totally negative. They do not respond to telephone calls, there is no shuttle to their office and everybody had trouble with them, so I telephoned EconomyBookings to tell them this and to cancel my reservation. They will not return my deposit!

On the website I made a booking and it never said anything anywhere about cancellation fees. This is the reason I made the reservation just Incase I needed to change something. When I called the operator was nasty and ignorant. Made me feel bad and then hesitated every time I wanted to speak to
a supervisor. She said she is the supervisor and pretty much I m out of luck. Then she hung up on me. This company has a U.S. number to D.C and they are scamming people. This is unsat and sad. I will make sure everyone I know does not work with them.

Booked a car through Economy Bookings and the amount they told me I would have to pay was not what my credit card was charged. It was more! So beware when you are booking a rental through this company. I tried to contact them about my rental and they just hang up on me. I've been trying to get my money back since then and its been unsuccessful.
I really hope, economy bookings helps me with my refund, but I am not sure if they will, at least based on my phone call with Karina today.
It seems that Economy bookings have their own pricing and the rental company has their own pricing which creates a disconnect in dollars you pay out of your pocket.
I am not going to use this website anymore. I used costco.com which was always great but one time I wanted to try this economy bookings and got trapped. Now I am going back to costco.com.

Be really careful with this company. I just rented a car through this website, and I was supposed to pick it up today. Although when I went to take the car, it was not available and the car rental company wanted to provide me a worse car (that costs cheaper) so I did not accept. Since they did not have a similar car and did not want to give me a better car, they canceled my reservation, and told me to call economy bookings to have my money back.
I just called Economy Bookings in order to do that, and they do not want to refund me, they are saying is not their responsibility and there is nothing they can do about it and they will charge me the full amount (but I paid to Economy Bookings by credit card, and did not have what I paid for!). That's totally illegal!

Please, read the reviews before renting cars from them. They look like scammers, so be careful.
O rented a car long before my trip but was forced to cancel everything that I had planned including the car. I contacted them and sent a couple of emails hoping that it would be enough.
They answered me in 2 days saying that they actually don't do the refunds.
I'm out of my money now and feeling robbed because I am sure it wasn't legal.
