Dollar Tree Store manager bullying merchandise manager.

So I work for dollar tree, for about over a year or so.

I started as a assistant manager then moved to this family dollar that changed into dollar tree. Plus I knew the store manager from family dollar, shes from the same town I grew up in.

Thought this was going to be great.

Now I am lost for words, looking for the best advice, and trying to find how I get my store manager to hold her self accountable for being a bully to me.

I have tried to explain to her the rules dollar tree has about managers. Managers push the most freight. We are back up cashier's

Well my store manager is still so stuck in her old ways that she , who is the store manager she stays in register and sends the other cashiers out onto the floor to push freight.

Well I tried to explain that she should be the one setting the isles, well I got a ear full for suggesting and giving her the heads up on that.

She also has her older friends working at the store, who she tells them when they are working with me to keep me on register while they push freight...again...that is my shift I should be able to handle my crew properly the way I need towhen I am yhe manager on duty.

So that's not fair.

She has screamed at me I front of customers and other employees...

We had a huge screaming match when the power went out bc I told her she does not have my back when I try to train the new hires

She has not properly trained me.

She threw the store.manager guide at me and said go apply for her position bc idk what she has to deal with daily.

AND SHE IS 100 PERCENT RIGHT!

I DONT KNOW BC IM NOT THE STORE MANAGER!

She never schedules me for.truck.

She only talks down to me.

If you are not me, she is kind , helpful, and not intimidating or confrontational.

She has wrote me up.for.the most ridiculous [censored].

She has messaged our district manager that I run the employees out the store and it's my fault.

She has been planning her surgery for over a year now, but we all know she just got that doctor's note so she didn't get into trouble not pushing fright.

She tells.the new hires that she pushes out 3 pallets a day...I wanna see that !

She never schedules me on truck or has me doing any of the duties I am initialed to perform bc she has said and I quote 'you suck as a.merchadise manager "

After she said that I asked her if I suck so.bad why won't you train me...

So recently she has said that she needs to watch the cameras bc she got a customer.complaint that I didn't take care of a customer.whils.my.son and husband were in the store...which they were purchasing items...

I have scheduled several doctors appointments bc my depressing and anxiety are at its max.

I want to message HR

But our district manager is blinded by MY SM kisses our DMs [censored] and butters her up, so I'm always the bad guy...

I just want to have her held accountable.

I want to keep working .

I just want to be left the hell alone and I want the respect she gives to everyone else.

Oh and her husband and son work there too.

So now my family isn't allowed at the store.

I have to call And ask her if it's ok.

I don't steal.

I don't so drugs.

I just do my job .or try to .

And I feel like she is just trying to get me to quit.

What can I do.

How do I get any sort of peace from this?

Desired outcome: I want her held accountable.I want someone to hear me and my issues with being bullied.I want my DM to see she is targeting me, and I just want to be left alone.

Dear [censored] also work at dollar tree, not all are the same! My store the employees run registers not the managers! Managers refuse customer service as the district manager is aware and does nothing to any manager here! Manager are stealing products and smoke all shift long, have family members steal here! Never has any manager at this store opened till! These managers at my store are lazy I professionals and hide all day, forever refusing to help customers or back up. As only 1 cashier per shift so backup help is not tolerated here because managers here too [censored] to open register! District managers know this and have yet to say and do anything g about this ongoing issue over 11 years of same [censored] managers and dm! I think it is only right to let you know about your disrespectful manager in Pineville, Louisiana. The explanation of the cause is given below: I was in this store on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM. I went shopping and then silently waited in line to check out. There's just one cashier, as usual. The queue became longer as people stood in it, and...

Dollar Tree corporate policy

I was very surprised to see the dollar stores are open on Thanksgiving. I think it is a total disgrace, People today have very limited family time. By your stores being open on Thanksgiving, your valued employees will miss a family holiday dinner. I find this unacceptable. Will the corporate office be open on Thanksgiving? I was in management for many years, and I made a point of not asking my employees to do something I would not do. So, unless you plan to have the corporate office open on Thanksgiving, I think you should close the stores. While I was in the store today, I cannot tell you how many customers were very upset to see that the store will be open on Thanksgiving. You might want to reconsider. since no one needs anything from Dollar store on Thanksgiving they can get Wednesday or Friday. For the sake of your employees please consider closing on Thanksgiving.

This company is a disgrace! Managers working on thanksgiving, Xmas eve and New Year’s Day. 6 day 12 hour work weeks from thanksgiving until Christmas with NO extra money & NO holiday bonus! Not even their sad cookies this year. Local manager in rural area was told to find their own employees due to low applications.

Dollar Tree Store organization

I stopped in to the Dollar Tree store in Great Falls, MT on 10th Avenue South and I was shocked! There was hardly anything on the shelves, unpacked boxes blocking every aisle. Items were all over the floor and in the wrong sections. Looked like a bomb went off! Never seen it this bad. I am sure a fire hazard at the least. Disabled people having a hard time maneuvering through the mess.

Desired outcome: Get the store cleaned up and merchandise put away.

Dollar Tree Red plastic disposable drinking cups - 50pk

My family shops at Dollar Tree almost every day. This time we went and they had an entire aisle of 1.25 items. We grabbed 4 packs of 50 cups and they proceeded to tell us it was 5 dollars each. The sign clearly said 1.25 and there were rows and rows of this item. The entire aisle was supposed to be 1.25 items. When I asked them to look at the shelf and price they told me they made a mistake. They said they will not honor the price advertised. I asked for a manager and one never came. I took pictures of the item on the shelf clearly marked at 1.25

Claimed loss: 3.75 times 4 bags of cups

Desired outcome: I would like someone to honor the price like any other store when it is mismarked.

Actually you are 100% incorrect. Walmart, Jewel, Osco, and many, many, many other stores religiously acknowledge that it is their error and upon speaking with a manager you WILL get the marked price. I have had it happen quite often. I also worked for Walmart in a corporate roll and can tell you that they WILL honor if pressed. If you think that I cannot see the "Plus" stores change in plain sight then you must be very narcissistic in the fact that you seem to feel yourself more intelligent than the average consumer. It is legally called "Bait and switch" and it IS illegal. Mistake or not. When you accidentally get in an auto wreck and forgot that you didn't pay the insurance bill you get fined. Accident or not, YOU are responsible for your own mistake and have to pay for it as such. A customer is NOT taking advantage of the store by simply demanding that the advertised price, via the shelf advertisement sticker, be honored. This is designed to protect the consumer against just such practices. It is NOT the consumers responsibility to dig for information on pricing mistakes by using their phone, which they pay for, to investigate pricing errors due to negligent employees of the corporation. There is no need for the person who is supporting their salaries by making the choice to consume the goods provided to be the "Bigger person". That statement is ridiculous in itself. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has issued a Notice that it has determined that bait and switch sales practices are unfair or deceptive trade practices, and violate the FTC Act. Dollar Tree Refund

Register over calculated my money I took in reciets and the items the refund was still less then the cash amount was given... I had the proof and when they pulled the cameras it only showed when I returned the items I was still missing half of my money, the manager stated I was the thrid person that came in with same issue however she would not take the time to do it manually so she could see the miss calculation... Manager sent other people too talk to me no one would listen and the part they pulled fromthe cameras only showed the second transaction... When I returned the items for a full refund but it was still short... So they dismissed my complaint completely and someone or some way thet kept my 59.40 and only retured 46 dollars to me after I paid 110 in cash... I have all the reciepts all they had to do was calculate... And now where do I go from here this is teriable and just crazy!

Claimed loss: $59.40 DOLLARS

Desired outcome: I WANT FULL CAMERA RECORDING PULLED .....AND MY REFUND AND MANAGERS NEED TO BE RETRAINED OR FIRED THE WAY THEY WAS ACTING!!!!

The dollar store on 11th & Girard never has change... this has been occurring for at the last few months. They have a sign that says correct change or debit/credit. When your purchase amount is $7.82, they would rather you put everything back, or they want to keep your change from $8. They will take your change but won't let you go for a few pennies.

Dollar Tree Poor customer service (Audrey last name possibly Matthews)

Dear Sirs:

I want to make you aware of the rude and unprofessional service I received from your assistant manager, Audrey, earlier this month at the Pointer Ridge Dollar Tree location in Bowie, Maryland. I purposely waited to send this email complaint to you because I wanted to cool down and reassess my interaction with this assistant manager as I realize that we all have had bad days. But when I returned to the store on another day, she was engaging with another customer in the same rude and unprofessional manner. I was so turned off by her attitude; I left the store.

My earlier interaction with Audrey dealt with her unwillingness to accept my request to exchange three items without a receipt. She denied my request. I clarified to Audrey that I only wanted to exchange the three items, and that I was not expecting a refund. She demanded a receipt for the exchange.

I then asked her when did the store policy change because I have returned/exchanged items bought at Dollar Tree locations in Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee without a receipt. I further explained to Audrey that I understood the policy to be that customers may exchange items but no cash refunds. And that I tend not to take the receipts since the store policy is, exchanges allowed but no refunds.

I told her that I understood that the store policy is an exchange without receipt and that the store managers that I am used to dealing with, Gina, and occasionally Ann, didn’t require a receipt for an exchange. She then told me to come back to the store to see one of those managers. I then asked her why the store policy was different while she was working? At that point, she insulted me further by saying that she knew I didn’t even buy the items I wanted to exchange at a Dollar Tree location. (I am unsure how she knew that because she didn’t scan the items. Please keep in mind, the total transaction of the exchange of three items is less than five dollars.)

Picture this — your Dollar Store representative acted this way with me in front of a line of roughly 5-7 customers. I realized that Audrey either, 1) wanted to be position of power/control, or 2) she did not know the store policy. Regardless, she wasn’t going to change her position in front of the other customers. I found our discussion to be a pointless, frustrating, exchange, and I felt humiliated by Audrey's dismissive treatment especially since I knew she was wrong. It felt discriminatory.

As I proceeded to leave the store, she told me to, “have a blessed day!” You can imagine how that made me feel.

Not only was Audrey rude and unprofessional in her dealing with Dollar Tree customers, she was now also condescending.

While there is a bright side to the story, (I returned to this Dollar Tree store and was able to exchange my three items for the items I wanted — without a receipt) no one deserves to be treated the way Audrey treats Dollar Store customers.

Dollar Tree Rude worker possible manager

Hello,

You have a worker being rude to customers, and people are leaving this dollar tree to shop at the one located in Oakhurst in Largo, Florida.

The rude lady and I got into it at this location:

Dollar Tree, 12002 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, FL 33774

This lady looks like she is in her 60s with an accent. Blonde hair, regular height, about 40 pounds overweight.

I asked her where something else was. She pointed and said in a rude tone "It's right there". I told her that "I didn't see it". She said back to me that

"I didn't see it because I didn't look and was lazy". I told her that I was writing a review. Another customer came up to me and said that the same lady was also rude to her.

Now this isn't the first time this lady has been mean to me. I live 3 minutes from this store, and I am a regular customer. I understand that everyone has a bad day. This time, she went too far.

Just letting you know. I tried to get a picture of her but didn't want to get caught taking the picture. The picture isn't a good picture at all. I just took a picture of the back of her. I attached the picture to this email.

Someone told me that she was one of the managers. I doubt that because a business wouldn't hire someone like her to scare off customers.

Sincerely,

D. Jennings

🤗

Desired outcome: For her to be fired.

Dollar Tree Want to know why you don't help

To whom it may concern:

I am writing you today to complaint how disappointed I am about your store Dollar Tree location at 1709 St. Mark Ave Brooklyn NY 11213 .

I worship across the street at MT.Ollie Baptist church located at 1698 ST. Mark Ave Brooklyn NY 11213.

On last week we had a 3k walk for health and awareness that provided information about how to stay heathy and live longer . Date of the walk was 09/30/2023 .

I went to the store and asked would they give the church a donation for our walk ,( I explained what the walk was about) and I was so disappointed when the manger said we don’t give donation to New York . Dollar Tree is good for the community ,because the prices are good and the products I like this store .( I am hurt, confuse and angry )

I trust this is not the way Dollar Tree company wishes to conduct with business with valued customer/community my church have been shopping with you from the time you move into our community I am looking forward to hearing from you .

The cashier was wearing two name tags one says Jeffrey and one says Dahmer. When he points this out to said customer , she realized what the cashier was talking about and she reacted in a negative manor. I finished checking out I told the cashier that what he was doing was inappropriate and I am a customer and that I wont come in the store. The manager Tim was in the store when this was going on. Thank you.

Dollar Tree A cashier and store assistant manager

Good day,

My name is Sophia Steele, and I am writing to make a complaint of a recent incident that took place on October 5, 2023. I visited the Dollar Tree store in Bloomfield, Connecticut, around 6:20 PM. I acquired a cosmetic brush for the sum of $1.33. Subsequently, I departed from the establishment, only to learn that I had not been provided with a receipt. Upon reentering the establishment, I proceeded to notify the cashier, who had Jamaican heritage, of my failure to get a receipt. While I was waiting, I saw the salesperson providing assistance to another client who was positioned behind me prior to my leaving the store.

Upon completion of her task, she informed me of her intention to contact a manager due to her inability to locate the receipt. Simultaneously, she expressed dissatisfaction by asserting that it was my duty to request a receipt. I informed her that it was incumbent on her to provide me with a receipt as well. The cashier engaged in a dispute with me, asserting her familiarity with the individual that I was with, who shops at the store every day and resides in a communal group home. She added that this person frequently visited the shop to buy dolls with the help of her support staff, and the staff routinely demanded a receipt for each purchase.

I spoke with the cashier about her awareness of the fact that this particular individual frequents the business on two occasions daily, accompanied by different personnel. Consequently, it is customary to request a receipt as a matter of politeness. Without delay, she promptly contacted the assistant manager, who also shared Jamaican heritage. The manager conducted a thorough examination of the register, and it was evident from my observations that she lacked a clear understanding of the specific item she was seeking.

I informed her that the cashier attended to just one individual subsequent to my transaction, therefore raising the question as to why locating my receipt has proven to be a challenging task. During this period, the cashier expressed her belief that she should not be subjected to such a situation since the value of the product amounted to just $1.25. Furthermore, she emphasized that it is incumbent upon me to request a receipt. I informed the cashier that I remitted a total of $1.33, inclusive of taxes, acknowledging the shared responsibility between both parties involved. I then proposed to the assistant manager the possibility of initiating a return process, followed by a subsequent repurchase of the item, in the event that locating the receipt proved to be a challenging task for her.

The cashier and I were engaged in an ongoing dispute on the allocation of duty for obtaining a receipt. I communicated to her that the burden of obtaining a receipt rested on all parties involved, and I expressed my determination to not depart from the premises without such documentation. The assistant manager expressed anger and raised their voice towards me, asserting their intention to involve law enforcement by contacting the Bloomfield police. This action was justified by their reference to Dollar Tree policy, which prohibits exchanges or returns, and the assistant manager's accusation that I had engaged in the theft of products.

I instructed her to proceed with her actions since there is evidence substantiating my payment for the product. Furthermore, I intend to pursue legal recourse in response to her accusation of theft. I proceeded to the outside environment and assumed a position of anticipation for the arrival of the Bloomfield Police. At around 6:40 p.m., four law enforcement officers came to the scene. I proceeded to provide them with a detailed account of my circumstances. However, the assistant manager unjustly accused me of theft and refused to provide me with a receipt for the purchased items. The law enforcement officers entered the premises and afterward reappeared with the goods that I had inadvertently left at the point of sale.

I was informed by the police that the store personnel lacked the authority to compel the person in question to provide a receipt. However, they expressed the belief that such a request was superfluous, deeming it unnecessary to involve law enforcement in a matter they considered trivial. According to the claims made by the assistant manager, Dollar Tree's policy prohibits returns without a receipt and does not grant store credit once a customer leaves the premises with their purchases. Officer Sean Murphy furnished me with case number #28470 and strongly advised me to bring this issue to the attention of the corporate entity, while also urging me to refrain from patronizing the aforementioned store due to subpar service quality. In my opinion, the manager's accusation against me, which I assert to be unfounded, was inappropriate.

The individual in question had the belief that I was experiencing fear, prompting me to depart from the location prior to the arrival of law enforcement personnel. I kindly request your prompt attention to this situation. Due to their wasteful use of resources, which diverts attention and resources away from matters of greater significance that the police might address, the assistant manager and cashier both need to face disciplinary action. I can be reached at [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]. I express my gratitude once again.

Desired outcome: I did contact a manager today at Dollar Tree and was informed that she would have another manager review the camera and would get back to me.

Dollar Tree Product pricing error/manager's offensive response

I just shopped at store #1999 in McDonough, GA; where I've shopped for 20 years. I decided to buy a pair of folding sunglasses, displayed at checkout for $1.25. When they rung up for $1.50 I requested that the store honor the advertised price. The manager (Lonnie Stewart) stated that he couldn't do that. That it was an error and would be corrected. My reply was, that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that currently it is listed for $1.25. To not honor that is false advertisement. This person pointed his finger at me and said, "I'll do this one time only...that I was pushing it". He walked off, after spewing his verbal reprimand. I replied "I'm not pushing anything". The cashier Maria rung the item up as misc. for $1.25. After completing my transaction I knocked on the office and requested the contact information for the district office. After appearing surprised at my request, the manager jotted down a phone #. I then asked if he was the owner or manager; he stated that he was the manager, so I requested that he write down his name. When I called the number that he provided([protected]), it was for their audio conferencing center.

I went to my car to grab my cellphone to take a picture, and as stated, he quickly removed the blue & white price tag for $1.25 and replaced it with a red & white tag for $1.50. Obviously, the twenty-five cents would not break me. But, during these inflationary times, I am strategic about my spending. To be treated in such a rude manner, and yelled at, as if you are chasing your child is unacceptable behavior, and warrants an open apology. Needless to say...this is not a good look for Dollar Tree.

Desired outcome: I would like an open apology by the manager, Lonnie Stewart. And for his actions to be investigated. My name is Lucy Reed; [protected]@gmail.com

Dollar Tree Condition of store

On September 29,2023 I slide on huge pile of dog feces inside the store. No one came to help me. Salespeople just stood there and asked me to go outside to clean my shoes. There was no manager on site. I pulled my hip muscle and had to throw my shoes away. I later was able to get a manager on line. He did not give his name and said he would handle it. This was about 12:30. I believe the clerks knew about the problem because they said no dog was in store. I passed the dog when I came in. 1099 Mountainview dr. west mifflin, pa 15122 Store #218

Desired outcome: I believe the store should be investigated as it was very dirty. Food is sold here.

Dollar Tree Management

I purchased can filled milk at Dollar Tree Store #7007 2542 W. Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, Ca on 09/28/2023 at 10 am. I was not given a receipt by the cashier. At 10:15 am I returned to Dollar Tree Store #7007 to return the item. Store policy on all receipts clearly state "We will gladly exchange any unopened item. We do not offer refunds. The cashier stated she could not exchange a food product, even an unopened can. I aske for the manager. The manager"Elva" after explaining the situation, Elva asked the cashier if I had just purchased the can milk. The cashier stated yes. Elva looked at me and threatened if I did not hurry up and and get another product she would change her mind about store policy.

I left the store without anything to avoid a very bad situation getting worse. Dollar tree owes me for the product. The manager needs to be replaced for unprofessional behavior. Any the correct police needs to be printed on receipts.

Desired outcome: Compensation and an apology from the manager. Correct return/exchange policy printed on receipt.

Dollar Tree Overcharge

I was charged 229.25 on July 30, 2023. The address of the store is 6721 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, Portland, oregon 97225.

I have never charged this amount of money at a Dollar Tree let alone without a receipt. I have gone to the store and spoke with an associate as the manager was out with hives, she couldn't bring up the date of the charge and said that the manager would have to be the one who did it. I went back the next day, again manager not available. I was able to obtain an 800 number to call - [protected] ext. 2790. I have called this number many, many times and either get disconnected or rerouted to another extension. This then led to a dollartree.com/help and again I couldn't find anything to explore for this issue.

My telephone number is [protected] if you would like to reach me via phone of [protected]@comcast.net via email. I would love to see supporting documentation for this charge or a total credit.
