CVS medication

This is a repeating problem and the second or third time I have contacted through this system to ask for help in getting it resolved.
The current incident has been ongoing from 5-02-2019 and remains unresolved today, which means unresolved until Tuesday due to the holiday weekend.
I am treated for major depressive disorder and I have had the same doctor and the same medicines for over 20 years. I have used this specific CVS for probably 8-10 years.
If I take in a written prescription, they are great. As long as they just have to look at the prescriptions, it is filled out correctly, it gets filled timely. My problems arise when I am out of refills and the doctor needs to be contacted. I am on a cocktail of medicine that has worked for me for 18 years. It is imperative that I take the meds regularly, in the same amounts on the same days. I see my psychiatrist once every 90 days. He gives me a written prescription and 2 refills. I try very hard to make it back in those 90 days so that I do not have to work to get refills, but sometimes it just does not work out. This cycle I needed refills because I was in ICU with my mother for over a week and did not make my appointment. Therefore, the doctor had to be contacted. I have been out of meds for over 3-4 days twice because of this issue, which means 1. It is very difficult for me to work 2. I emotionally and very unstable, and I become physically sick because it is like going off drugs cold turkey. This time, knowing this is always a problem, I started contacting the pharmacy and the doctor on
Monday 20th early in the morning. My doctor's office assured me that they were faxing in refills that day. Knowing this is a continuous issue I followed up
on Tuesday, the pharmacy did not have any record of a fax, but they stated, "they sent a fax to the doctor." The young lady on the phone said no problem I will fax it right now. I knew she was doing it on the computer because in a few seconds later, she stated, "it's done." I tried to explain to her that the doctor would require and old time fax and did not have the program to get online faxs' She just kept saying she had done it. By the time my break was over she was obviously not understanding. So, I called the doctor and told them that the pharmacy said it had not received any refill requests. The doctor's office stated they had sent it, we verified the fax number they had, and they said they would resend.
Wednesday morning, I called the pharmacy first thing. They still claimed they had not received an answer to their fax and had not received anything from my doctor. I explained again, the problem with the fax issues and they assured me they knew what I was talking about and would do it "right now."
Wednesday afternoon, pharmacy still states they have received no word from my doctor, and they will fax again.
Wednesday evening, the pharmacy still had not heard from the doctor and instructed me to call him and tell him to fax it to them……..really?
Thursday morning contacted my doctor and spoke directly to the physician. He stated it had been faxed repeatedly and remained on the line with me while he faxed another copy. Thursday after I was off work, 4:30 ish I called pharmacy, they stated they had not heard from or spoken to my doctor and again, instructed me to call them today and have the fax it AGAIN. I explained that my doctor had personally faxed it and I knew it was done. The person stated that she did her job the same way all of the time and if it would have been faxed she would have taken it directly to the pharmacist. I explained again, that I would really like to figure out what was causing this issue. She again, told me to call my doctor.
I spoke to the pharmacist who assured me that they had not received a fax or call. I explained that this was a continuous problem and I had not been totally out of two of my meds for two days. He stated he would call my doctor first thing this morning. PROBLEM IS, my doctor is out until Tuesday, which is why he personally got involved in making sure this was done. The last time I was out of medicine due to this same issue with this same pharmacy it resulted in some very difficult times for me and for my family. He wanted to avoid that as much as I did.

So here I am Friday, May 24, 2019 without any prescriptions or any POSSIBILITY of getting one until next Tuesday. That would be assuming they can do in one day, what I had been trying to get done for four days. I am a first-grade teacher, this is one of the most difficult and busy times of the year and it is very stressful, we are physical moving our residence and my husband is 77 years old and not in great health.
I am not blaming anyone; it appears everyone is doing "their job." However, every time it happens, they finally fix it after a week or so and then it happens again. Why doesn't sometone find out WHERE the glitch is instead of just giving me medicine. Obviously, there is a problem with fax communication between these two offices for some reason.
I believe the attitude of the pharmacy is like I am missing my vitamin D pills because they do not have any respect for the importance of medication management for emotional disorders. If it was heart medicine, I bet this would have been resolved the first time it happened.
Bottom line is that I will end up being without two of my medicine for 6 days, at the very least. During those 6 days I have to close out a year of teaching with all of the reports and moving that involves as well as pack up my own house and coordinate a residential move. I have not doubt that I will receive the medication between Tuesday - Thursday, but I know they will not address the problem and figure out what is happening. It is just a blame game to all of them. "it's not my job" issue. I have clearly been informed by the pharmacy that the had done what they could do, and I needed to contact my doctor. My doctor has the same stated, except his office has "supposedly" called in and left a message for the prescriptions, (which the pharmacy did not receive).
I hope you and your family have wonder holiday and I would very much appreciate it if, after the holiday, this issue be addressed BEYOND just getting my medications filled. You can attempt to contact me by phone, but as I have stated, I am a teacher and not allowed to have my phone out during school hours, except during breaks. Please contact me by email if at all possible.

CVS unethical behavior

The CVS pharmacy in Steubenville, OH is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Not only have they time after time screwed up my prescriptions but my wife's also. She has RA and the pharmacy tech filled a prescription for a skin condition instead. The techs don't know how to pronounce the drug names. When asked what the medication is for, the techs don't know. The Pharmacist doesn't return phone calls when she tells you she'll call u back. My wife's picking up our prescriptions today and texted me at work that, "this pharmacy could screw up a 1 car funeral", they screwed up the doses on our prescriptions. My heart medication was suppose to be 1 pill 2x daily, they have 1 pill 1x daily, this is heart medication their messing with. and my wife had to wait almost 3 weeks for a tier 3 cancer drug that mysteriously got lost in their system. It's not about the pills, it's about their suppose to be handling life saving medication for some people, and to have to wait 3 weeks to try and track down a cancer medication when the prescription is suppose to be 1 shot weekly.

CVS better hope that no one dies waiting for them to track down a so called lost prescription when it's been in their system for 2 weeks and no one bothered to look. There will be major lawsuits for CVS...Please fix this store before they put someone's life in danger.

CVS in-store coupon ($15.00) for completing a 30-minute online survey

I was not given credit for the full value of my In-store coupon ( It was a reward code for doing an online survey ). What happened was they should have rung this up as 2 seperate transactions. I was buying food with my EBT card and also some non-food items using the $15.00 In-store coupon. The cashier insisted on ringing it up as one transaction, which ended up shorting me $2.63 on the value of the In-store coupon. If she had rung the food up in a separate transaction, then the In-store coupon would have paid for all the non-food items. But she insisted on ringing everything up in one long transaction, which left me short $2.63, and having to pay for that out-of-pocket.

They should have rung up the food separately from the other items from the beginning. And the store manager refused to correct the mistake.

CVS there are never enough shopping carts at the cvs on pantigo road, east hampton, ny.

I am a handicapped person. The workers and/or staff in the CVS store in East Hampton, NY are always using all the shopping carts to load the shelves or for their own purposes, leaving none for the customers. Why can't the company provide the staff with something else to help them load the shelves instead of them using the shopping carts? I complained to the manager, but he just shooked his head with no response.

Do you not have any sympathy for the handicapped?

CVS prescription for insulin test strips

My name is Francine Monica and I have a serious diabetic condition which requires me to test my insulin level about 10 times a day. I was recently notified by CVS (5/16/2019) that they have impemented a new rule and will no longer fill my prescription for the test strips. They advised my that they are only following Medicare's standard utilization for the test strips which only alows testing twice a day. I was also told by a company representative that CVS was unhappy with their medicare reimbursement. However, if they accept Medicare at all they should not discriminate against me.
I contacted Medicare and was informed that they provide strips if needed more than twice a day and that certainly is my situation. My doctor has approved the number of strips and CVS is going against the advice of my doctor, placing my life in jeopardy. The action by CVS to put my very life in jeopardy is deplorable.
I can be reached by phone at [protected] or by mail at 391 N Dorchester Rd., Wentworth, NH 03282.

CVS syringes pharmacy

The cvs in pearl river New York refuses to sell syringes to customers without a prescription when in fact that is one of the only 2 pharmacies that are permitted to do so. The 2 pharmacists working during the day always say they dont have any. And when I insist that they do have them they say either I am wrong or they save them for customers with prescriptions. And 50% of the time I refuse to leave they find them or give in the 2 pharmacists on the night times shift (11pm to 7am) I think always give them to me without an issue. When the 2 day managers and/or pharmacists found out they were giving them to me they were severely reprimanded for doing so. And the new city branch stopped carrying them years ago, or if they do they dont let us non prescribing customers know. They say they no longer carry them . And what's makes this matter even worse is that these are the 2 of 3 branches in all of Rockland county that are open 24hrs. I wonder what addicts are supposed to do. I write this to you because my son contracted the HIV virus from having to share a syringe because he no access to a clean one. They are forced to use old ones which can lead to infections, hepatitis c and b. I have hired a lawyer and firm for over $300, 000 to file a wrongful death/negligent homicide, etc. Please contact me to let me know what happens and my law firm. My email is [protected]@optonline.net or [protected]. Pharmacists should not lie directly to ones face. I have seen sealed full boxes on the shelf when they say they dont.

CVS charged for prescription covered

Hello.
For the last two months i was charged for a prescription that should have been covered by Medicaid. I was told in March and April the prescription was not covered but miraculously in May Medicaid covered my prescription. When i spoke to the pharmacist, he said to call medicaid. I called medicaid and they stated it should have been covered. I am very angry about this because it took alot to pay for those prescriptions. Now who is going to reimburse me?

CVS I am complaining about minute clinic vaccination misinformation and being overcharged as a result of misinformation

My name is Marjorie Gross and on 5/6/19 I went to your Minute Clinic in upper marlboro, md to get vaccinated for a trip to Portugal, Spain and Morocco. I was told I need three vaccines (Hep A, B and tyroid) and was charged over two hundred dollars. I was also told I need to return next month for another vaccine and then return again in 6 months. A week later, my son & daughter-in-law (R. and W. Payne) told me that they went to your Minute Clinic on Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD and were vaccinated for the same trip overseas. They were told they only needed two vaccines and only need to return in six months to complete the vaccines. Also, they were only charged one hundred thirty some dollars. I want to know why I was told I needed three vaccines when in fact I only need two vaccines according to the CDC?

I spoke Laura in your customer relations and Sue, CRM1082029, in your corportate contact center. Sue stated she would get my information reviewed and get back to me as soon as possible.

To resolve this matter outside of the court system, I want CVS to refund the overcharges for the vaccines and correct the misinformation going on within your various Minute Clinics.

CVS pharmacy in trenton ga

I am a very good customer at the CVS in Trenton Georgia! My son is a type 1 diabetic and my husband and I get several prescriptions filled there monthly as well...I called 2 days ago to get my pain medication filled and they said it would be the 15th. I called this morning for them to fill it and they informed me they could not fill it due to not being able to order narcotics...due to going under new management? I often call only to be on hold literally for over 30 minutes and have shown my phone to the manager as I am walking in the door...For her to only roll her eyes at me! The only reason I use this pharmacy and continue to do so is for the hours and we a re in a very rural area with not alot of options.
Nejuana Tipton, Stephen Tipton, Gary Kyle Tipton...Look up how many prescriptions we fill there...It's alot.
Something needs to be done about this pharmacy.
I have used CVS in Bossier City Louisiana and never had these issues.
If anyone cares my contact info is [protected]

CVS unacceptable employee behavior

I sent my son to pick up my prescription while I was at work when I got home I noticed that they gave me two of the same prescriptions I had previously filled the same prescription a week or so earlier my doctor increased my dosage which called for a re-fill.

I personally sent a request to re-fill another prescription when I arrived at the store there was an extremely long line when I voiced my displeasure regarding the consistent errors in filling my prescriptions your employee got very disrespectful and stated "I am printing your label now I dont want to hear any of the other stuff if you want this filled" her manager was in an ears throw of the conversation and said nothing. I spoke with the store manager who assisted me by taking me to the Pharmacy manager who had to be prompted several times that I was waiting, at this point I had been in the store 40 minutes. When the manager came over I started to relate my issue to him and he says " lets resolve your issue with your medicine then we can talk never happened. I watched elderly customers wait in line for hours and many customers were turned away because of the wait times, at this point its an hour and 20 minutes. While in the store I got a text letting me know my order was ready and the same employee continued to fill and deliver orders before mine she was very disrespectful and I will never use the Pharmacy at that location again. The incident occurred 05-13-2019 at roughly 5:50pm I didnt leave the store until almost 7:45PM after a long day at work. it would most desirable if you got them some support they obviously cant keep up with the volume as the drive through was also packed and also have your employees learn common respect for there customers I was picking up Heart medicine and did not need that type of stress just because I expressed my discontent for having to come and request they fill my prescriptions correctly.

The worst CVS customer service and behavior by the pharmacy staff by far. The pharmacy techs need to be trained at good CVS branches, like the CVS in Mokena, to learn what good customer service means. Good employee behavior is the job of the manager, who at this CVS needs training as well.

CVS adhd meds

My grandson has ADHD and when his last refill came up CVS only had 20 of the 30 pills he needed. They said if they filled it be would lose the other 10. Usually a pharmacy just fills the remaining when it comes in. So his doctor wrote a script for the other 10 to cover it. They are refusing to fill it until the 29th. So he is at school today with no meds, which is a very big deal

CVS prescription auto refill

I have repeatedly requested that they not auto refill my prescription drugs. Every 3 months I have to tell them again not to auto refill. They supposedly go into the system and take the auto refill off my prescriptions. Three months later, yep, all my prescriptions are auto refilled! They can't seem to get the hint or just blame it on their system but are too lazy to let someone above them know that their system is so freaking messed up that people are getting pissed and taking their business elsewhere! When I told the "pharmacist" that maybe she should let someone know the system is screwed up, I was told "I don't haffa (yes, haffa) do nuthin'." illiterates! Surely it can't be legal to refill a prescription that the customer has not requested to be refilled. How do they even know i'm still taking that medication? I even had a prescription archived (couldn't find a way to delete on the app) because I was no longer taking it. For 2 years, they kept texting me and asking me if I wanted it refilled. Really? Cvs = worst pharmacy ever!

CVS overnight pharmacy tech

If I could give no starts I would.. the lady that worked at the pharmacy last nights overnight shift Is racist. I went there to get insulin syringes, which is something I usually get there all time and I call ahead to make sure they have it. Well I called ahead and she did say she had it . When I drove to go get it and I walk up and tell her that I just called, she went and grabbed the item, scanned it, then pressed a button (probably to void the transaction) then she told me that the item doesn't show up on the inventory .meaning she cant give it to me because it wont charge . I told her to grab the same brand, but a different size and scan it.. it worked and I said for her to just scan it and I'll pay for it but I'll get the size I need instead. She said no.. shes playing with peoples health and my life depends on weather or not I am able to have this item. Just because she didnt want to sell it to me, she refused to sell it to me when it's against the law for her to have it in stock, in the store/pharmacy, but all of a sudden it's not showing up when shes scanning... I'll remind you that I come here once a week and buy the same exact item the same exact size I requested... this [censored] wants to play God for her 8 hour shift and deny people of what is their right to purchase. Horrible customer service . The pharmacy should be ashamed and embarrassed of hiring someone like her. I asked speak to a manager and she said I am the manager... then she quickly changed it and said "the manager isn't here" then why do they have this idiot working alone running the whole pharmacy? Shes a waste of human life and I hope one day she is in the same shoes as me and gets denied something she needs that is vital and detrimental to the point that she can die if she doesn't have it.. karma is a [censored]

CVS poor service, rude employees.

Date of this incident was 5/9/2019. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. After constant rude encounters with the pharmacy employees, waiting forever to pick up prescriptions and the list goes on, I decided that I don't have to put up with this anymore. I arrived to pick up a prescription for furosemide (water pill) and waited in a long. long line. When it was my turn I gave the clerk a GoodRx coupon and asked where the restroom was. She replied rudely that they don't have a public restroom (can you believe that?) but I could go next door to the grocery store. She had no idea what to do with my GoodRx coupon but told me to move to the next window where I waited and waited again. Eventually I was told they would call me back to the window. And eventually they did and told me the coupon wasn't good-I understand-But then I had to get back in an even longer line. Remember my prescription was for water pills. I will never go in that dirty, nasty store again. It should not take all afternoon to pick up a prescription. And next season I will use another drug company. Enough is enough. Most of the employees there appear to hate their jobs. Thank you.

CVS switched my meds by calling the doctor and saying I asked for a cheaper medication. I DID NOT ask for a cheaper medication. The old SWITCHEROO. Would be interested to see how often they are STILL doing this.

From the Beasley Allen website:
"The Big Switch
In December 2008, CVS Caremark paid $36.7 million to resolve allegations of Medicaid fraud in a lawsuit filed by Bernard Lisitza, a former CVS pharmacist who processed prescriptions, and the U.S. government, which investigated and joined the False Claims Act suit. Twenty-three states opted to join the lawsuit as well.

Mr. Lisitza and the U.S. alleged that CVS pharmacies switched Medicaid patients taking ranitidine, the generic form of the heartburn/stomach acid drug Zantac, from tablets to capsules to get more money from Medicaid, which sets maximum reimbursement rates for the tablet form of the drug but not for capsules."

CVS cleanliness and pharmacy

I live in st. Clair, MI, where I get excellent service from CVS. We have recently started spending winters in Arcadia, FL, so I am getting my prescriptions there in the winter months. First off, the cleanliness of the pharmacy in Arcadia is awful ... pills laying all over the floor and on the counters; service is very, very slow. I've had to wait on the phone 45 minutes to inquire about a prescription. I saw information online regarding a Losartan recall while in Florida, and called CVS about it. I couldn't get a straight answer, so I kind of just forgot about it. We arrived back in Michigan in late April, and received a letter from CVS in May regarding the Losartan recall. I called the CVS pharmacist in Michigan about it and he said they already contacted all their customers affected, and I should call the Arcadia store. All this happened in less than 5 minutes. I contacted the Arcadia store, and she told me to bring them the letter and my prescription and they would look it up. I told them I was back in Michigan, so they told me to take it to my local CVS. I informed them that my CVS said to contact them. So, after going back and forth about options, she said the pharmacist would call me to get information when they weren't so busy. That was 2 days ago. I felt like they just wanted me to go away. I am really contemplating changing pharmacists. You guys may be big, but you still need to be clean and offer good customer service.

CVS cvs multi-vitamins men's 50+ advanced

Not an complaint - Please pass this along to the proper department. I am a CVS North Windham, Maine, customer who is currently overseas. I brought with me Multi-Vitamins Men's 50+ Advanced tabs. Strangely, there are two different color tabs in the bottle: one pale blue and scored across the middle, the other slightly darker blue and un-scored. The two colors are about evenly divide in the 65 tab bottle. I have never gotten two different color medications/supplements in the same bottle. Is this normal for this product? I am nervous about taking both colors and have stuck to the scored one for no real reason. I tried to insert a photo but could not do it here.
Please advise.

CVS improper tdap vaccine administration.

I'm a medical school graduate. I am currently in the US for potential observership opportunities In NY. As part of the paperwork for my observer-ship I was required to get the Tdap vaccination.

On 9th April 2019, I went to the 202 S. Highland Avenue Pharmacy, Ossining, NY. I was administered the vaccine on my right arm. The person who administered my vaccine was Okolica Hadassah.

She gave me the vaccine too high on the right deltoid. A few hours after the vaccine was administered I suffered immense shoulder pain to the point of not being able to move or sleep through the night. Over the next 48 hours my shoulder drooped further down. Even he slightest movements caused excruciating pain.

Today is 5th May 2019. It's nearly a month later and my shoulder still has a limited range of motion. Abduction, adduction, internal and external rotation of the joint is very painful. I cannot raise my arm over my head, I cannot reach behind me to fasten my bra strap. I still have to take pain killers to go about my day.

I am very distressed that this improper vaccine placement has caused permanent damage to my dominant arm. I lead an active lifestyle. I played basket ball for my high school and college teams. I represented my state at the rowing nationals.

CVS new prescriptions changed

I went to my Doctor yesterday on the 1st of May, a pain management Doctors office. My pain has worsened after 3 MAJOR LUMBAR Surgeries and 3 cervical fusions prior to that. The most recent surgery was November 29, 2018. The point is my Doctor or Nurse Practitioner in this case changed my meds from four 10 mg. Oxycondone to three 15 mg. Oxycondone, only increasing by 5 mg. Per day. The month prior I was taking six 10 mg. Oxycondone per day so difficult to change. My prescription for ER morphine was also changed from three 15 mg. Per day to two 30 mg. Jessica the pharmacist at 2788 Murfreesboro Rd, Antioch TN 37211 said she didn't feel comfortable filling it but put me off twice having me call back. I had NO Oxycodine on hand and was up all night. I'm sorry if my Doctor felt it needed changing it shouldn't be up to the pharmacist to dispute. I called again today with a young man pharmacist to had a voicemail from my Doctor yelling him to fill it but after 12 Noon today nothing was done. I use a walker and can't even stand straight I'm in so much pain. I told my doctors office and they suggested I go to a different pharmacy. He then harassed me at the window when I got there disagreeing with me on everything. Your pharmacy is ridiculous. If they want to be in law enforcement then they should work there. I was going to move all my scripts from Walgreens there but not now. I told him today that I was done with the games!
