CVS review: Unsanitary conditions at store # 7536

Hello;

I was just at CVS on 4307 Wilgrove Mint Hill Rd, in Mint Hill store # 7536 at about 12:30 PM on Wed Sept 29. I saw a gentleman and awoman employee behind the counter. The gentleman was eating and put his fingers in his mouth to lick food off his fingers. He actually made a popping sound with his fingers in his mouth. He was not a young kid, he was middle aged. He then proceeded to go over to a pallet of energy drinks, open the refrigerator door, and began loading in the drinks, touching every can with dirty fingers. I was shocked he licked his fingers and touched the handle and all of the energy drinks, never using hand sanitizer. I began thinking how many people would have access to that refrigerator handle, and the energy drinks as I saw him unload several. I thought he should have known better, and this made me think about the cleanliness of the store. I called the woman over who he was talking to and told her, as she was near me at the register. She said "I'll tell him" but had an attitude and threw something down behind the counter like she was annoyed.

With the concern of the virus, this behavior is unacceptable. I felt this was dangerous and disgusting. Even without the virus still a threat, this is unprofessional, especially in a store that promotes health.

It seems to me that the CVS workers need better training about cleanliness and their work habits. Based on what I saw, I am hesitant to shop in that CVS again. This man should have known better, and used hand sanitizer before going back to work.

I hope this situation is addressed and workers will learn to follow better guidelines to keep the community safe.
