Subject: Customer Service Complaint of Store Supervisor, “JIM”.

To whom it may concern:

I Gertrude Joseph work as an Independent Contractor for SHIPT. On June 27, 2023, at approximately 9:45am, I drove up to the CVS Pharmacy drive through located at 6900 N University Dr, Tamarac, FL 33321 to pick up a prepaid prescription order for a customer. I was greeted by Store Supervisor Jim at the window. Supervisor, Jim asked me to provide the name of the prescription for pick up and I notified him that the order was a SHIPT order and provided the customer’s name. Supervisor Jim gave me a scolding look and with a bad attitude and ordered me to come inside the store with the up most disrespect. I notified Jim at the window and stated that I had previously picked up several prescriptions at the drive through for prepaid customers several times as well as at other store locations. Jim proceeded to ignore me at the window and treated me like a third-class citizen. I was extremely disgusted with the lack of customer service and the disrespect I was shown at the window by Jim and had no choice but to park my vehicle and come inside. Keep in mind, I am a person with a disability and my Disabled Parking Permit was displayed on my rear-view mirror at plain site. Jim didn’t care about my limitations and discriminated against me at that moment and continued to repeat “You need to come inside!” When I went inside the store Jim continued to give me an attitude. We exchanged words back and forth and I was forced to raise my voice after the continued abuse I was given by Jim.

I was assisted by another store clerk who was a young lady with excellent customer service skills, who proceeded to assist me with the pickup order, which was successful. At no point was I asked for additional information aside from the customer’s name which is the same process that is taken at the drive though for all other customers. Jim proceeded to threaten me to ban me from the store and to have the police called to have me removed after he was the one who mistreated me as a customer! In addition, there are no signs posted at the window that state SHIPT contractors are required to come inside to pick up orders. I am so upset and frustrated that I have to spend time notifying your store of this disgusting and rude employee who is a bad representation of CVS. Therefore, I am making this a formal complaint!
