Corporate's lack of response
On November 18th, I brought my staff to the Wichita Cracker Barrel (store 213) where we had a great breakfast. Upon leaving I accidentally forgot the receipt that I need for work accounting. I went back a little over a week later, but the manager let me know they couldn't find it in their system, but provided me with the customer service phone number (1-800-333-9566).
I have called this number several times. I waited on hold for a long time and a few times the call was just ended. Other times I left voicemails. I've waited two months and not once did I receive a call back or voicemail return. This is one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have received. All I wanted was a copy of the itemized receipt, but the lack of follow through from Crack Barrel Corporate has been extremely poor.
While I won't be visiting any of your establishments in the future again, I am compelled to bring this to your attention in hopes that others won't suffer the same terrible customer service experience.

Food and service
I took my out-of-state nephew to cracker barrel store #cb0026 in Nashville, TN on12/29/2021. The service and the food were horrible. Never received any muffins or biscuits, even after asking for them. Silverware was dirty, green beans were wilted and brown. lack of website
i prefer to view a restaurant's website for menu options and nutrition guides before i patronize the place and you do not have one, so i will not be coming in... and your online ordering site is NOT a website, it is strictly for online ordering and not for customers that intend to dine onsite. i have nothing further to add but apparently i am not at the required minimum characters needed to submit the complaint.

I submitted an order on-line today (1/21) for curbside pickup. I received an order # and email stating "Thanks for your order". My husband went to pick it up at the chosen time, finally going into the store after about 10 mins since no one came out after he clicked "I"m Here". He had 4 different people say they would go check on the order and never came back to him. Finally, someone asked him how he put the order in and when he told them, he said oh our website won't take gift cards for some reason but it's not our fault. The manager came over and took the order again and said she would put it in as priority and would be about 20 mins. It didn't come out until30 minutes later. Asked what they could do for the inconvenience, and they said it's not our fault. Not once did they say they were sorry it happened. Nor did they do anything for the trouble. I have been places where they would have given the meals for free. Good customer service would have ATLEAST given a free drink or dessert and you would not be getting this letter. I am not sure if I will eat at Cracker Barrel going forward. Hoping to get a response. Laura

I believe this incident happened 4 days ago, at the Cracker barrel on the outskirts of Dunn, North Carolina. My husband and I had a Cracker Barrell gift card in the amount of $50.00 which our granddaughter Yvette Dwyer purchased thru Amazon on 10/28/20 (I have the receipt). We had never used it until and tried to on 1/15/22. It was still on the small cardboard Cracker Barrell card and was attached with a glue like gel. The Pin number 9210 had not been scratched. When my husband tried to use it to pay for our food the Clerk could not get it to work. She is the one who scratched the Pin number. She told us that it had already been used. So how could that happen when it was still intact when my husband gave it to her. The card # is [protected].
She told us to Contact Cracker Barrell Corporate Headquarters so that is what I am doing now. I called their 800 number and spent 25 minutes waiting for a representative and finally left my number for a call back at [protected] around 3:10 pm and it is now 9:05 pm and I did not get a call back so I decided to go to the web site and submit my complaint. Would appreciate the courtesy of a reply.

Gift card
Received a gift card in October 2021 with $50.00 available. Attempted to use the card last night
January 11, 2022 and the Balance was zero. We never used the card. Apparently hackers used the card. Called customer service and pressed the options for gift card and was placed on hold for 40 minutes. A rep came on the line. Soon as I said I was calling about a gift card issue. She proceeds to say you have to speak to the gift card department. THAT'S WHAT I PRESSED ORIGINALLY. Back on hold I go. Another 30 minutes and the phone disconnects. Straight BS! Customer service is BS and so is this gift card fiasco.

Overcharged
We visited your Calhoun GA location on 12/18. We enjoyed our meal and made some purchases in the gift shop. We realized once home that we were overcharged. I applied and interviewed for a server position on Dec 30th, I stated I wanted to work extra for an event and that I was available on the weekends on the application. I waited 30 minutes to speak to the manager, then was told to come back for a 2nd interview 4 days later even though it said on the email they are on the spot hiring. I emailed after the 1st interview thank you for your time, and if you come to a decision before hand please email me. Came back for 2nd interview she had me wait 30 minutes again, then came in the gift shop area and told me they wanted someone full-time and for a permanent position. This is RUDE Jennifer, you could have just emailed, text or called this info, not make someone stand there and you come out to the busy gift shop to embarrass someone like that. Shame to you, I hope this happens to you one day.

My son and I had breakfast at CB in Henderson KY this morning. I thought the total sounded high so I looked at my bill when we got home. we were charged for 3 fountain drinks at 2.79 each. It was just the 2 of us and I had 1 Coke Zero, he had 1 Dr. Pepper. Also the charge noted on receipt was 3.19 for 1 bacon order, 2 slices. He was only given one piece of bacon. I gave him mine so he would have another piece. Our total was 25.69, which made me look back at receipt. Again, not enough money to argue over, but the service was minimal and we were overcharged and underserved. Thank you

My boyfriend and all of our friends like Thousand Island dressing on their salads. You do not offer that at your restaurant. Please bring it back.

Terrible Thanksgiving Dinner
I took my family to eat at Cracker Barrel yesterday, Nov 25th at the Newnan, GA location. I do not like their green beans and pumpkin pie and was told no substitutions were allowed. I then asked if I could just buy the additional food items that I wanted and have it added to my order since it was on the menu. I was told a firm "NO" by the manager so I told him I could not eat at a restaurant that refused to serve me what I was willing to pay for. I used to be a regular at Cracker Barrell but will give my business to another restaurant after yesterday's rude treatment. It is probably for the better because the last few times I've been there they forks and spoons presented to me were filthy and had to be replaced.

Cracker Barrel was formerly one of my favorite eating places. Now I am complaining that their Thanksgiving meal discriminates against diabetics. I am a diabetic and I try not to consume sugar. The meal came with sweet potato casserole very high sugar content and included pumpkin pie. I very nicely asked if I could switch to mashed potatoes, but was told by the manager that "Corporate" policy did Not allow substitutions! WHY?

It does not seem fair that because I have a medical problem that I could not switch to a less calorie item. I was willing to forgo the pie, but was really angry that I could not get mashed potatoes instead of sweet potato. This is a clear discrimination of people with diabetes.

Next time have them ring the entire order, print the receipt and then cancel the transaction as if it didn’t exist.
It does require a lot of time to source back to find the receipt especially if their computer program is archaic.
Sad to know you had to jump through hoops.
