I just went to the waffle House in Panama City Beach Florida at Edgewater Beach resort in the shops at Edgewater plaza. My husband ordered something along the lines of grilled cheese with the chili bowl and did not get bacon that said was in the picture they subsequently made him a side of bacon. I ordered a cheeseburger and all I received was red burger and cheese there was no lettuce no tomatoes no anything else that would make it resemble it cheeseburger and it cost me $6. The menu did not say that I would not be receiving these things and the waitress didn't ask if I wanted such thing not sure how this works. Not what I expected from waffle House I could have spent my money at Burger King and then or Wendy's where I know I'm going to get lettuce and tomatoes on my burger.

my name is robert e powe jr. And i am a native of mobile alabama and a loyal waffle house guest for approximately 60 years. I am a retired officer in the united states army and i bleieve in doing things deent and in order;

one of my favorite restaurants to visit in mobile alabama has always been waffle house inc. Not only did i work my way through college at waffle house in huntsville alabama where i received my undergraduate degree….But i have always respected and admired the vision that your coporate management staff has always displayed not only in the area of customer service but also in your quest to reprimind those employess who do not eximplify the core values that has been the benchmark of wallfe house great success for well over 70 years;

having said that, i trust that you would be both objective and candid and research the egregious complaint that i have regarding the humiliating experience i suffered by your lead night shift cook at store number # 1480 in mobile, alabama.

On the morning of july 18th 2023 @ approximately 0400hrs. I attempted to make a call in order at waffle house and the answering recording machine infomred me that waffle house at store #1480 was too busy to take “call-in” orders; i was right across the street so it wasn’t a big deal but i at lease wanted to know if waffle hosue had reverted back to their “pre-pandamic” schedule” when they were not taking any “call-in orders” due to medical safety reasons;

when i arrived in the store their was only one customer who was seated and eating his meal along with the cook and one waitress; so i ask the cook “if their was a particualr reason why they were not answering the phone and if they were aware that their answering machine is on.”

the cook became rude beligerent and upset at me and answered my question with an abundnce of sarcasm and stated” how can we answer the phone; i only got one server and she can’t answer the phone and take orders and wait on customers;

obviously, i took offense to his tone and i told him that i was a paying customer and i should not have to be concern with the day to day operations of waffle house and wonder weather or not the management staff of waffle house has the schedule the appropiate number of employees to work the schedule to work; and i definitely don’t have to put of with his “[censored]ty” attitude in his futitle attempt to belittle me for simply asking a question.

And so i told the coook that there are approximatley 250 other restaurants that i could have visisted that know the value of good customer service ahd treating customers with decency and respect;

and so as i began to elaborate on waffle hosue policies and procedures beign that i was a former employee…….The cook abruptly told me to “leave the store and that he wasn’t going to serve me;

if you ask the waitress who was on duty she will definitely convey that i specifically asked him to repeatedly serve me and he said no……all because i would be quiet in my quest to find out what was the legitimate reasons why waffle house was refusing “call in orders” and why he refuse service to me and ban me from the store;

if truth be told one minute waffle house is taking call in orders and the next day they are not; but illregardless of that…your cook had no reason to attack me that way. I am diabetic and all i wanted was to get me a meal; but nevertheless, i will respect his decision and i will not return to your store;

but it is truly astionishing how the level of customer service at waffle house has deterioated in this company….And if this cook is the best that waffle hosue has to employe………..I have no problem following his guidance;

as such i will never return to your store; also, if you review the surveillance camera….Prior to me even saying anything…. You will see that as soon as i walked in to the restaurant the cook turned his back on me and walked away; what ever happen to “welcome to waffle house”

I work at Waffle House 969 in Vicksburg for 9 years never have a problem until the manager we have now he accuse me of doing something I didn’t do & he is racists show favoritism towards the others workers I never called out always show up to work we have others employees call out every weekend barely shows up for work & never got a write up plus they have more hours than me my other employees sit outside allday & smoke pot & think we suppose 2 do they work he always have a attitude wit us I been trying to reach to everybody nobody never got back in contact with me

I go to eat and you have staff putting over 5 dollars in Juke box and plays very loud cringe music which just yells and nerve rocking. The juke box should be for customer. If employee palys they should put in a dollar not 10. Never going back there again that is the 2nd time. I mentioned it and they didn't care. Customers should come first. I was at the Alcoa TN. Rt3 US 129.
