Waffle House Fired and discriminated against

My wife and I both were working for wake house on Louisville KY, and at the time of being hired we're comments...( Only became ginger's because my child support order wasn't resubmitted even the company we've from franchise to corporate... Causing me to be behind on payments getting arrested... So actually a clerical weird if the companies caused me to lose my place) anyways, but because of this we were understand discriminated against by tran benders and management... All the way up to district. I've been with the company off and on since 2004 I'm a Rockstar grill op, and the Sunday of the incident my wife had already worked 65 hours and myself 55...I was obviously I'll vomiting and my spouse brought me a cup of water and a towel... The server on duties girlfriend called the police and told them we were doing drugs in the bathroom...u had just got off the phone with management who told me I could go give due to my illness... Before I could leave the police showed up telling me I had to leave the property... Off course I did. The next day even I spoke to MY manager he told me to call district... And I still have the text messages between us... Even I finally got a text from district he said we were fired for the suspected drug use and asked if we would address to a drug test... We said of course... After no reply I asked him what was up where should we go for this... Then he says we were fired for walking out... No we were told to leave by the authorities... After 6 months I went to reapply and wax told we were both of on the dnr just...

Look even we started they were supportively only doing 600 a night on Friday and Saturday... Money being stolen did cost outrageous, after 3 weeks we were doing 1300 to 15 hundred on Friday and Saturday nights... No money shortages good cost brought down...I love wake house it's been like a give and to be out on the do not rehire list bring my heart.

Desired outcome: I would love our jobs back

Waffle House Being banned

This happened about three months ago. My husband was trying to get the attention of a waitress at our local Waffle House to get a cup of coffee. It was not busy. He asked a few times and she didn’t say anything so he asked a little louder. She told him he didn’t need to be rude and he said you didn’t need to be a b****. Yes he was way out of line. He realized this and told the manager he would like to apologize and he said not now because she was upset. The manager talked to the other people that were there to get their story and it was the same as my husbands. He said it but said it in a normal voice and was not threatening. The manager said that after talking to everyone he would just not have her serve him. Ok. That seemed fair. A week later my husband apologized to her in person and she basically told him she doesn’t want to hear it. A week later he was banned from our local Waffle House we have been frequenting for 10 years with no issues. People from corporate are the ones that banned him. They said they were going to investigate. The other manager already did that. Corporate people have not said a work in over three months. We just think it is a bit over the top to ban him from one issue he admired he was wrong and apologized for after never having a problem before.

Waffle House Service

Monday, March 20, 2023, My wife and stopped at the Waffle House in Greenville, Al at 9:00 pm. We were not greeted or acknowledged in any way upon entering. We sat in a booth while employees chatted with each other and one appeared to be washing dishes. After 10 minutes without being acknowledged, we left.

Will not return to this location again. We have never had this problem at any other Waffle House we choose to eat at.

Waffle House Rude and maltreatment

I visited the Waffle House by the Airport at about 8:30am on 3/12/23 I proceeded to place my order the employee Kat was very rude to me she gave me a really rude look like I had [censored] on my face then I proceeded to ask for someone else to take my order well this lady that was cooking all of a sudden turned around and said no, so I said I want to speak to the manager she says I am the manager I said I didn’t want the other lady to take my order and the manager said you don’t have to eat here all rude like, her name was Jenny well I notice a man standing beside me giving an interview and asked her who he was she say the area manager he turned around and asked what was going on I told him that they were being rude to me so he told the other young lady who was really nice to take my order she was a black lady very very nice but Kat and Jenny were very very rude and I felt discriminated against I live in that area and everytime I go in there those two are the only ones that have a very rude attitude so from this point on I won’t be eating at that particular Wafflehouse if they are in there someone really needs to address there attitudes thank u.

Desired outcome: The area manager was very nice in handling the situation thank God he was there.

Waffle House Eggs way overcooked, meats way overcooked, hash browns burnt

I called into it to go order. When I arrived, there were two managers cooking on the grill. They already had my meal bagged up and ready to go. When I got home to eat my meal with my wife, we saw, and realized that our eggs were way over cooked we asked for over easy and over medium and got extra well done the hashbrowns were so thin and burnt. I couldn’t even hardly eat them and the meats were so cooked that they were crumbling as he tried to eat them. I am very very disappointed in this restaurant the manager should know how to cook that is really embarrassing that a manager cannot even cook a decent meal. Instead she was more worried about talking on her earbud to whoever it was she was talking to her assistant was all for cooking, and did the same thing. Did not care about the quality of the food. I will request my money back because I will not pay for something in this day and age as nasty as this food is I hope you don’t go to store 201 because that’s where it happened. Also, there was no silverware or napkins in the bag with the food. the employees were very friendly and everything appeared to be good until I looked at the food. I can’t get over how your managers would cook food like this I would be embarrassed to take credit for this kind of cooking, embarrassing, embarrassing embarrassing to the company. Then when I tried to call them to tell them, I was just satisfied they conveniently transferred me through to voicemail so that they did not have to talk to me. I am so upset right now you cannot even begin to imagine how I’m feeling they both need to be fired because if they can’t cook, they don’t need to be in the restaurant business.

Desired outcome: I expect a full refund of $33 and a replacement of the food I figure that’s the least you can do and I would like it from a different store. Not from store 201.

Waffle House Service Chester sc

This is not the first time. But we go to come in and they say we have to wait for shift change. Have to sit in car for 15 minutes while we wait to come in date is 3/4/23 was 9:15 said will reopen 9:30, it’s just a inconvenience more that anything we could come sit down and get out drinks at least. It took 12 minutes to get our drinks so we could have at least been able to come in and get our drinks.

Desired outcome: They need to let people come in just crap to have to site outside

Waffle House The whole store

So I went her to fi d out the waitress closed the dining room at 7pm. The waitress had a bucket in the counter so she could make tips for online order tips. Unknowingly they automatically add 20%.

I waited for an hour to recieve my food get this because the cook wanted to scrub his grill than while I was waiting another waitress lead came up she wasn't on yet but while sitting there we watched the girl wipe her nose with her hand. Not wash it an start making waffles for someone. Than while sitting their the same waitress scared her head the scratched the inside of her ear guess what she didn't wash her hands again an she started making bacon.there was dirt all over the tables an dirty dishes where customers were waiting their to go.than I was charg3d 65.41on my credit catf am I payed cash

Waffle House The whole situation of our eating experience

On 02/20/2023 We stopped at waffle house to grab a bite before heading home. This is what both kids wanted. We sat down as usual, looked around and no other customers were inside, besides the cook, a lady in back, that left before we did. Waitress with a name tag that said Orika (she hid the tag with her hand as I was trying to look at it) I asked when we sat down if I could have a rag for the table, that was filthy and she replied "you need to find another table" We moved to another table and cleaned the best we could and finally she walked up and said I hope you know what you want. I repeated in fact we do, thinking this should be simple for I asked before we went inside, so I would be ready. I asked for a cup of coffee while we waited and said I wanted a coke, a sweet tea, and some chocolate milk. Her reply back to the kids was "I think you meant white milk" I was ok, wow, we have a lady with an attitude or she has problems we just need to overlook. I ordered a hamburger plate with hashbrowns in a ring, and also ordered a waffle for the two girls, a side order of sausage, and a bowl of cheese grits. We received the sausage and nothing else. Later a guy assuming the cook, came out the back and put on a dance show for the girls and cranked the juke box wide open. Still no food. Finally I asked for food and was thrown a bowl of grits and 1 waffle. I asked for cheese for the grits and she threw it like a frisbee and landed on side of bowl. I asked about my meal and the cook said sorry I was in the back (he was very nice thou) This is how my burger came out, I had to ask for pickles and mayo, plus butter for grits for they were hard by then. Well we decided to try to share, knowing still missing waffle and no utensils. By this time they all were at the other end laughing (2 other employee's came in by then). I got up and asked for utensils and the other missing waffle. They said they burnt the 1st one, and cook said he forgot about 2nd one and they tried again. Finally the cook came back over with a piece of something and said that was the best he could do, and apologized. I got up and asked for ticket and told the girls we would stop somewhere else. She finally got up and thru a green pen on counter and said have a good day and laughed. The only reason I tipped her was because I didn't wanted my girls 6, and 10 to think they should not respond to her actions in a bad way. Now please tell me what I did wrong and I will never expect any different. This was 3 innocent people that was there, my granddaughter had just lost her dad and I was trying to show them a good time. Addelyn exact words to me was "Noni, why were you so nice and she was so mean to us" We didn't deserve it and I'm ashamed I paid $40 for it and if I would have known really I would not have got hurt, etc. I would have sent the girls to the car and dealt with it. Thanks for listening, I would want to know if that was my business. I'll pray no one else has to deal with a stop at the waffle house like WE did.

Desired outcome: What would you do? Yes I would love a refund, to take them to another Waffle House for a better experience, but that is not my point.

Waffle House The entire experience from beginning to end

I attempted to call to place an order via telephone but they were not taking phone calls. I drove the 15mins to order. When I walked in, there were THREE employees total working on a Sunday night. My family does "Waffle Sundays" so we have figured out the average busy vs calm time to go. I was pretty annoyed once I arrived because the phone was ringing and they were picking up the phone & hanging it up; they eventually took the whole battery supply out of the phone. A lady (1 of the 3 employees present) asked me what I needed. When I responded "to place an order" she completely lost interest in me. A guy running around making sure orders were complete etc is the one that ended up helping me. It should be noted that there was ONE table; ONE small family at the booth, one couple waiting on a go order, and now me. The female employee was screaming at the guy helping me, saying "STOP RUSHING ME!" and plenty other very unprofessional statements.

The little guy finally came to take my order (we're loyal customers so I already knew what I needed), I started "an all-star (scrambled), bacon, hashbrown. my next order was a chicken hashbrown bowl, He says"we're out of hasbrowns"... which totally ruined it for me but whatever. I end up settling for 2 waffles (that I still somehow paid $5 for even though one was supposed to be free). Start to finish, I was there at least 40 minutes listening to the staff argue. This is an issue that NEEDS to be addressed! The last time we went, they said they didn't have waffles. It's getting worse and worse. Also, I was asked to scan a code for a free waffle and still paid $6 for a waffle (the other was supposed to be free)

Desired outcome: Of course the desired outcome would have been to order and served without issue. What I think may help the situation is a company educational training on customer service and what the company goals are. They clearly are not abiding by that

Waffle House Hash brown bowl

Wednesday January 25th at 11:30 p.m. at the sharonville reading road location, I placed an order for a hash brown bowl with sausage egg and cheese and a slam order and hash browns with it and they were supposed to be smothered and covered and it had a blob of cheese in the middle and they were barely even cooked warm. The hash brown bowl with sausage egg and cheese turned out to be when I got home a bacon egg and cheese and it was supposed to have gravy on it which I paid for extra gravy and there was no gravy on it.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for a credit that I can use for a different location

Waffle House Slowness of the staff between 5:50 am and 6:00 am

I did an online order this morning. Then I finished getting ready and drove over there. I waited for some time and they could not tell me when my order would be ready. I was going to be late for work but waited for a while. Then I told them I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund. They told me they were cooking my order but the grill did not have anything on it. I again told them I wanted a refund. They told me they could not refund online orders. I left without my food or money. There were other people leaving from waiting too long. I think the main issue is they work slow to get to the 6:00 am shift change. But the ones arriving at 6:00 am to work are not there to work at 6:00 am. This has been an ongoing issue at that location. And that is why I rarely order from there.

Desired outcome: I want a refund of my money.

Waffle House Product and service

On Saturday 1/14/23 around 8pm, I tried to place3 to go order by phone and no was available to answer since the phone was disconnected. Is this how waffle house operators? The restaurant was not busy for the phone to off. If you don't want or need my busy, just say so that I can spread the word

I decided to show up at waffle house and placed two orders of the All American with hash browns smothered, covered and country. When my order came up, the girl bagged and I paid $22.00 and change. I asked the girl if both orders were in the bag and said that they were.

Upon my arrival to my house, I only received one order and the order was incorrect. How hard is it for a server to listen to the customer? Maybe better training is required, or the waffle house just does not care. They turn off their phone like they don't need your business. So why should they care if the order is correct

Waffle House Overcharged at waffle house in cumming, ga

My son, daughter, and I went to the Waffle house on Atlanta Road in Cumming, Ga on Dec. 22nd. Three tables were full of dishes and it took them 15 minutes to clear the tables. The restaurant was not very clean. A pregnant lady took our order around 12noon. My son and daughter had an omelette. I had a meal with, eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. We all had coffee. Why was our bill $39. The waitress just put amounts on the bill but didn’t say what they were for. We had just moved furniture out of storage and there were 2 people standing behind us. I use to live in Crozet, Va and would eat at your Waynesboro, Va location. The food was hot, the restaurant was clean, and It was listed on my bill what I was paying for. I have seen complaints online where people would get the same thing 3 different times

at a Waffle House and be charged 3 different amounts. Why is that? Why don’t you

have modern receipts that break down what you are paying for on your bill instead of hand writing

them in pen? I feel I was overcharged at least $10. The food was not even hot and I was overcharged. I am not happy with this experience

Waffle House Freezing heating system broken for 2 months

To whom it may concern,

We regularly stop at waffle house during our travels.

So today December 19th 2022 the Wafle House in Magee Mississippi was our stop. Location 2004.

It is freezing inside this place we had to wear our hats and coats to be able to stay and eat!

So do the workers the only person maybe comfortable is the cook!

According to the staff it's been out of order for 2 months. Someone came to fix it but in no time it broke again.

As a customer I can deal with a one day bad experience however I can't believe you'd let your staff work in those conditions.

You are lucky to have people willing to work it maybe a good idea to treat them like human beings!

I don't think you'd let your mothers or daughters work in freezing temperatures.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and to be updated on the resolution of this issue, I will follow up with the staff regularly.

Waffle House Manager and order placed at schillinger rd next to popeyes

I went to Wafflehouse on Airport next to Popeyes in Mobile, Al., Tracey is the Mgr. I went in Friday after calling in a hamburger and hashbrowns order. I have been doing that for maybe 15 years, My hamburger did not condiments when I got home, and I too exhausted to go back. I told Tracey those words when I got home and discovered it was just meat and bread. There was no lettect, tomatoes, onions, ketchup, mustard, nothing. I said I will come back please just give me a discount or something because I threw the burger away because it was just bland without the condiments. I stopped by today around, Dec 6th at 11 am and ordered something to go. I asked for her and she said we did not charge you for it, and I was shocked. I had called her Friday, Dec 2nd, 2022 and talked with her about the incident. I said that is okay and I am calling Corporate. I called Corporate and got someone named Ruby. She said to fill out the Compliant form, however that link she gave me does not exist. I intend to contact the VP because I was in that same location Sunday, November 22, 2022 at around 5 to 6 pm. I called in an order that day and there was a black cashier inside and 2 white guys outside on the side smoking something that I care not to say. Just the two guys were doing the smoking, the girl was inside and the cashier that day. I frequent that restaurant so much I told Tracey, the Manager, about what I saw her a few days later. My husband was a witness and a relative that was in the Popeyes driveup line becauce it extended to the Wafflehouse front door. I think the Wafflehouse has too far gone to visit in the future for hiring these kind of workers and managers. It is not the way it used to be because they are hiring anyone these days.

Desired outcome: Nothing. I am done with this place.
