Waffle House

I brought a Waffle House gift card for $25 as a birthday gift for my husband but it does not work. I called the number on the back for MegaBank and was told that the $25.00 is on the card that does not expire until 09/28. I contacted Waffle House and spoke to Melvin and he told me the card was invalid but I never used it and I needed to talk to Customer Service. Please help get the card activated or get a new card that works.
