UPS A frustrating experience with UPS Express (Velogic) in Mauritius

My recent experience with UPS Express (Velogic) in Mauritius has been nothing short of frustrating and stressful. What should have been a straightforward process to send a valuable parcel abroad for repair turned into a nightmare due to unprofessionalism, miscommunication, and poor service delivery.

Uncoordinated Pickup Process

On November 25th, I contacted Mr. Fabrice from UPS Mauritius to arrange for my parcel to be shipped abroad for repair. Initially, he seemed helpful, explaining that I should pack and weigh the parcel myself before their driver would collect it. However, things quickly took a wrong turn.

Despite having my contact information, UPS failed to communicate the driver’s arrival time. While I was out for an appointment, my parents called to inform me that a UPS van was at my door without prior notice. This forced me to cancel my appointment and rush home. The driver, visibly frustrated, admitted they were also unaware of the lack of communication from their office.

Payment and Tracking Issues

I weighed the parcel at the post office, where it measured 6.5kg. However, upon reaching the UPS office, it was declared 12kg due to “dimensions.” I paid the full fee for the shipment but never received a payment receipt, tracking number, or confirmation of shipment.

I contacted Mr. Fabrice on November 27th to confirm the status of my parcel, but he didn’t respond until November 29th, saying it had been sent. Even then, no tracking details or receipt were provided, leaving me in the dark about the parcel’s location.

Customs and Declaration Miscommunication

When the parcel arrived at the repair destination, the recipient was shocked to find a customs fee of €548.81. This fee was based on the declared value of the parcel, even though I had clearly explained to Mr. Fabrice that the shipment was for repair and had no commercial value.

It became evident that Mr. Fabrice failed to document the parcel as “for repair,” instead declaring its original purchase value. This error caused unnecessary customs fees. When I reached out to him, his response was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsupported.

After escalating the issue, I spoke to a manager who was equally indifferent, but thankfully another manager stepped in to address the situation. This second manager handled the matter professionally, reissuing the paperwork to reflect that the parcel was for repair. While this resolved the customs issue, it was a step that should have been handled correctly from the beginning.

Weight and Delivery Discrepancies

Another major issue was the weight discrepancy. Although I was charged for 12kg, the recipient’s paperwork indicated the parcel weighed 6.5kg—the same weight verified at the post office. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about UPS Mauritius’s transparency and billing practices.

Delayed Delivery and Lack of Updates

The parcel returned to Mauritius on a Saturday, but I received no communication about its status. I fear UPS might once again deliver it without notifying me in advance, repeating the chaotic experience of the initial pickup.

Final Thoughts

This entire ordeal has been unnecessarily stressful, costly, and time-consuming. UPS Express (Velogic) in Mauritius failed in several critical areas:
• Poor communication and lack of coordination.
• Unprofessional handling of customs documentation.
• Billing discrepancies and weight mismanagement.
• Absence of tracking or proof of payment, leaving me without peace of mind.

I paid for an express service but received anything but that. This experience has left me questioning whether UPS Mauritius can be trusted with valuable shipments. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice, especially for time-sensitive or high-value parcels.

UPS Mauritius needs to address these systemic issues and prioritize professionalism, transparency, and customer care. Until they do, I cannot recommend their services.

UPS Poor service delivery.

As in the past few months this driver leaves packages on my truck which is about 30 paces from my front porch. Damage to paint?
The " left on or near front porch" the driver uses is just an excuse and this driver never takes a picture of the delivery? Others put the packages on the porch and take a picture. Why reward the slacker as a professional?
I have received items delivered by UPS for 25 years? and never had a compliant.
Disappointed as this not the first time I have had this problem.

UPS Never use UPS for anything

I'm trying to get my fiance's wedding band delivered on time for the wedding. They claim that they've tried to deliver it twice but this is false as I know they were not here. I tried communicating with customer care for a while but have been ignored.

Absolutely attrocious with what they get away with. The ring will be sent back overseas so I guess I need to pay the import tax again.

UPS UPS destroyed my property without permission

We took several pieces of original framed artwork created by our father/ grandfather to the UPS store on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota Fl. The pieces were all wrapped and packed by the UPS store staff in 2 separate boxes. One box was delivered timely, the other was not received. We tracked the second box and were told that “All merchandise was not recoverable and was discarded”. UPS made the decision to destroy our property without consent and without notifying us about the damaged shipment! We contacted the UPS shipping store, and they referred us to UPS corporate. UPS corporate sent us back to the UPS store. Since then, we have received a complete run around and still do not understand what happened to cause such damage and why UPS took the liberty to destroy our property without consent. The store owner and team have stopped returning calls and UPS corporate will not do anything to compensate or assist.

UPS Charged $100.00 more than fedex with the pretext that it will get there one day earlier.

I needed to ship documents overseas. I went to a shipping business and was told that if I shipped with UPS my package would arrive by midnight the next day. Fedex would have arrived a day later. I happily paid the $100.00 more but found out the next day that the shipment would arrive a day later which would be the same day FEDEX was going to arrive. So, I paid $100.00 for a misleading statement, which is a lie.

UPS WORST delivery service ever!

I would give ZERO stars if that were possible! My response to the UPS email asking, "Tell us about your delivery":

My package was NEVER delivered! I had to go to the local UPS hub to pick up my packages! Outsourced customer service SUCKS! The staff at the hub advised that they never received any messages from customer service even though customer service assured me that "URGENT" messages had been sent to the hub on numerous occasions for several days in a row.

I would NEVER recommend UPS to anyone for shipping. I will leave this review on every corporate review website that I can find.

I would NEVER recommend that a US corporation outsource something as important as CUSTOMER SERVICE! The outsourced employee has no vested interest/incentive in providing quality customer service. This lack of service to the customer will turn away even the most loyal customer.

UPS: You need to address this!

Recommendation: Choose another delivery company!

UPS Same ol'e Same ol'e Disgusted with UPS Delivery

I have absolutely Nothing positive to say about UPS delivery. I,too, made an order and followed tracking/I am STILL tracking. My parcel was held up for 4 days at DFW airport.A label was provided by seller but UPS Never accepted until after 4 days and that's because I called customer service and DEMANDED why my parcel has not been accepter. I received an email stating I would get my parcel today bet 10am-2pm-it's 4pm and Nothing. Parcel is on the truck. The map to follow the location status SUCKS...either the driver is a lazy fool or the map is outdated.

Recommendation: Beware when receiving a shipment-not time-reschedule your entire day

UPS Worst service

I ordered something from a certain company. I payed extra for expedited service!

Six days later, I'm still waiting for my shipment. And UPS keeps the same lie of an excuse on the tracking site as to why my shipment is delayed. They say it may be delayed because of weather. I checked the weather map with Weather Chanel. There is no bad weather anywhere in continental US. I will never use UPS, ever! I don't like being lied to!

Recommendation: Don't use UPS!

UPS Harrassment, Intentional hold my package and sent back to sender for no reason

A UPS store employee harassed me when I went to the store to pick up my package. And then, they sent back my package to the sender for no reason. They claimed there was an incorrect address on the package, not able to deliver it, but I checked with the sender and confirmed there was no error on the label they made. They held my package for nine days at the UPS store for no reason, claiming they had made some effort to get the correct address to deliver, but neither the sender nor I received any contact from UPS.

Recommendation: Go for USPS or Fedex.

UPS Ups lies about delivery attempts

I was home all day on the day of the delivery. I get notifications and monitor my mail and packages. I watched and waited for the package. All of a sudden I get a notification that delivery was attempted but the receiver was not home. Yet I saw no one come inside of the apartment building to drop my package off. No ups truck ever even came to my apartment building that day. I don’t appreciate lies.

UPS Poor delivery experience with UPS

Pathetic service from UPS. Ordered one book from Canada to Bengaluru India. One mail came for Custom clearance and KYC detail update. Once the KYC rejected with format issue and they send one more link. This link need an OTP to login. And the OTP is not getting generated with the steps.

Contacted customer care, and send mails with KYC documents. No acknowledge is made to the mail. Not sure when the item will get delivered as well.

Desired outcome: A rectified form should have been provided to upload doc. Mail sould be acknowledged. Customer care and chatbot is useless service.

UPS Recurring unfulfilled shipping

I moved into my current apartment approximately 2 months ago. Initially I received a handful of online orders that were shipped via UPS without issue. However, after the first two weeks of residing at this address UPS suddenly began routing my packages to another city. From that point on, UPS has consistently misdirected all of my online purchases. These items go to some random place in the other city and, because I do not live there, after several failed attempts to deliver the items they are returned to the seller. The vendors have confirmed the address with me, confirmed with UPS, and reshipped... only for the pattern to repeat. I have contacted UPS through their website on multiple occasions but generally get a copy and paste response with the system generated messages reflecting the tracking info (essentially that it went to the wrong city and then were returned to sender). On the few occasions that someone actually read the request for information I received a response that the issue has been corrected. Those responses do not indicate what the issue supposedly was in the first place and in every instance the entire process began again when the items were reshipped from the vendor. What I have determined is that UPS is now simply incapable of providing shipping to my address. Personally, I am directing all shipping business away from UPS as a result of these experiences.

UPS Store #3513 lack of customer service and the website and 1-800-742 5877 not helpful looping back and error.

I have reached out to the store #3513, I went there to seek help as I paid and shipped my item from this location #3513. I asked for help, and they told me they are a franchise and cannot help. I had to call the 1-800-742-5877 the phone bot keeps repeating with "A"2 and I am saying “F”2 and it keeps repeating “A”2.. When I go online….
My issue is if they took my money, they should support the end to end. I just need the addressed changed to receiver as I shipped it... he moved without telling me... so I need the receiver address to be changed.

Given that you paid and shipped your item from store #3513, it's reasonable to expect comprehensive support from them. The fact that the store claims they can't help because they are a franchise is disappointing. Dealing with an unresponsive phone bot only adds to the frustration.

Your request to change the receiver's address is simple and urgent, especially since the recipient has moved. I hope UPS takes note of this issue and provides the support you need to resolve it promptly. Hang in there, and I hope this gets sorted out soon.

I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding the recent delivery issues I have been experiencing with UPS. Over the past three weeks, UPS has not delivered any packages directly to my address. Instead, all of my packages have been re-routed to USPS from the Maspeth facility. This has caused significant inconvenience and delays, as I now have to wait an additional three days for delivery.

I would like to understand why this is happening. Specifically:

• Why are my packages being re-routed to USPS instead of being delivered directly by UPS?

• Has UPS stopped delivering to my address altogether?

• Is there an issue with the Maspeth facility that is causing this re-routing?

I can provide evidence of this issue, as I have had eight deliveries in the past week alone that were re-routed to USPS. This consistent problem is unacceptable and has caused me considerable inconvenience.

I request an immediate investigation into this matter and a prompt resolution to ensure that my packages are delivered directly to my address by UPS, as expected. I would also appreciate an explanation for why this re-routing has been occurring.

UPS Shipping and customer service

In good faith I paid for timely shipping of an item. UPS provided me with a delivery date. Additionally they provided 5 other shipping date but the package was left sitting in Doraville GA for 4 days. They stated the delivery address was not correct. They did nothing to contact me and lied about the reason. After going to the local service hub on Mixon Dr., which was useless, I received the package. It was obvious that the package had been repacked and parts were missing. I contacted UPS and the shipper. Shipper confirmed that their logo was on the box. The box I received had no logo. Shipper also confirmed that this happens all the time. UPS destroys the boxes and then blames the shipper for their rough handling. I called the 800 number to file a complaint and request the refund of my shipping fee and the reimbursement of the lost or stolen parts. They called me at 0350 in the morning. Then throughout the day I called, being placed on hold for almost an hour...they told me they will respond to the shipper.

I am asking you to get involved as this type activity is rampant. They are allowed to conduct shoddy business practices, take peoples good faith money, and then deny responsibility for their incompetencies. They have already notified the shipper that they cant find the original boxes, which they told me they dont need, and that they will do nothing to make me whole. I have screen shots and emails to back up this claim. Plus, UPS says they recorded calls so the activity of my being put off by them should be available.

Claimed loss: $200

UPS I haven't received my package

There’s a package that shipped from Ondia through Garudavega services and needs to reach to my address through UPS in 85248 zip. But I haven’t received my Package yet . I got UPS tracking from Garuda Vega service that is 1Z63xv820422131996.

I tracked this number and it is showing that it recieved to Chandler 85248 but not recieved my package to my house. Please take a look and solve this issue and get my package as early as possible.

UPS Stole package by ups truck driver

On Monday, June 10, I entrusted UPS with an important package, declared at a lower value for various reasons. Confident in UPS’s reputation, I expected safe delivery. However, tracking updates showed the package stuck at the origin with no further movement. Concerned, I contacted UPS customer service but received vague responses, increasing my anxiety.

Days passed without any updates. I conducted my own investigation and discovered that the package was indeed picked up by a UPS truck driver but never reached the next sorting facility. Conversations with employees at the origin facility led me to suspect that the driver, noticing the low declared value, stole the package, wrongly assuming this would result in less scrutiny and consequences.

Despite the low declared value, the actual value of the package was significantly higher, causing me considerable distress and financial loss. This breach of trust and security by a UPS employee is unacceptable.

I am seeking full compensation for the package based on its actual value, not just the declared amount, and expect appropriate action against the responsible individual. This incident has shaken my confidence in UPS and highlights the need for strict measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

UPS is supposed to be a trusted name in package delivery, and they've completely failed you here. Your package, regardless of its declared value, was important and should have been treated with the utmost care and security.

The fact that you had to do your own investigation to find out what happened is unacceptable. It's clear that someone at UPS dropped the ball, and it looks like there might even be some foul play involved. This kind of behavior undermines the trust customers place in a company like UPS.

You deserve full compensation for the actual value of your package, not just the declared amount. UPS needs to take responsibility for this and make it right. They also need to ensure that the individual responsible is held accountable. This isn't just about one package; it's about the trust and security that UPS is supposed to provide.

Keep pushing for what you deserve. Make sure your story is heard loud and clear. UPS needs to know that they can't treat their customers this way and expect to get away with it. UPS Received package that does not belong to me

5-7-24 at 8:10pm received package that is not mine. I tried to flag down the driver once I looked at the intended address to no avail. I called UPS in 5-8-24 spoke with Jan (case#[protected]) says driver to pick up same day.

5-9-24 spoke with Avey who indicated incorrect address taken down by UPS for package pick up. She made call to Mykawa UPS location spoke w/Mariel (supervisor) who indicated package would be picked up same day. I asked for phone number to corporate office and was told she didn’t know it. 5-13-24 called again spoke w/Christie told her I got home and package still in my yard. Asked for manager. Spoke with Keisha who transferred me to manager Kasheka. Kasheka tried to call Mykawa UPS says she got no answer. Kasheka says I have done due diligence and can disregard the package (package is wet from rain) I informed her that I just want the package out of my yard. It is a shame that 1) customer orders package 2 (package delivered to wrong address 3) third party calls continually to come get package from wrong address 3) UPS non-responsive 5) IF sender had package insured - can file a claim to be refunded. What if sender has no insurance? Customer reorders and sender seems to lose out? Package ID IZ5595700391841096. I was given ph# to corporate [protected].

Desired outcome: My outcome simply put was to get the package to the correct party.

Explain that you have made multiple attempts to resolve this and request immediate action to remove the package. I am azenith balbutin and I have parcel from Hong-Kong arrived in Philippines last April 3. ups is very poor service now before I received my parcel within 12 days but right now almost a month... UPS Delivery driver

Delivery Driver for vehicle 206888 License C76373Z parked in front of Multicare Occupational Medicine front parking spaces for extended period of time. When approached by staff and asked to move the vehicle so it did not become a barrier to access for injured patients. The crew refused to move the vehicle at that time, dismissing the request as they did not see the parking situation as an issue.

We utilize UPS on a regular basis and see crews as an outstanding example of delivering kind customer service. This instance seems to go directly against the values of UPS and its delivery team.

Stemming from a complaint regarding a delivery and subsequent deliveries, UPS has not returned a follow up call as promised regarding retaliation from a driver and boycotting delivery.

UPS I never received my package

My package was to have been delivered on March 9th. I never received it.

1Buckle lock food storage container $0.01 ( that was upgrade )

All these were purchased through Team

I tried 3 times to do a claim and 3 times it kept saying something went wrong!

UPS Delivery

I suppose to receive a package sent through UPS, tracking #1Z47618Y0323382830.

First the package went to my son address because he ordered the item for my birthday.

First attempt: UPS delivered when my son wasn't home. He asked UPS for second attempt to a later time. UPS came again earlier, NOT to the time was asked.

Then my son gave my address.

Delivery to my address suppose to be made 03/04/2024.

I was home all day waiting for the package. No one ring the bell to give access to the building.

On the evening I found on the building entry door a notice from UPS saying: "this is our final delivery attempt".

I called UPS customer service at 1-800-742-5877 was impossible to talk with human regarding my problem. Then I chose different option (not related with issue I call for).

Finaly I got a human who give me #1 877 289-6418. I called, talked with Stewen. He said that someone will call me in a hour to let me know when can delivery.

No one called me.

Next day 03/05/2024, around 8:20 am, from #1 914 620-0400 a woman (sorry I don't ask her name) inform me that the package was sent back to sender.

Claimed loss: Package didn't arrived

Desired outcome: I want UPS to reimburse shipping cost was paid for.

UPS Delivery of packages

This is a on - going numerous times incident but the latest was on [protected] we ordered packages from amazon and the delivery guy/girl either delivers to the wrong house or out front for the neighbors to steal when the instructions say to deliver to back door. The one on the [protected] was delivered to a abandoned house and we had to go searching for our package, on top of that it was left out in the rain whenever our backdoor is inside the building. UPS all packages

Not sure what is going on with UPS customer SErvice. I get it customer service is based overseas and agents are working from home. My Package been going around for 3 weeks in USA, still lost. Contacted customer Service, agents are promising call backs, emails= nothing. Filed a claim thru UPS still no response. Contacted UPS again,customer service agent advised me that my package will arrive at my old address that I moved out of 1 year ago.

Wow, really? Should I go knock on some stranger's door demanding my package?

My question is: what the hell is going on here?

90% of customer service agent's seem to speak English, without comprehension. Still waiting for my package, not even sure I need the contents after a month wait. Does ANYONE else have same issue with UPS delivery service?

UPS They refuse to deliver to my door and dump my packages at an "access point" that's completely inaccessible to me.

No one in UPS will rectify the situation either. I get excuses upon excuses. I'm fed up! They retaliate by having the drivers who make this practice do it to me even more. They keep dumping my UPS packages at a place UNSAFE, and, therefore, INACCESSIBLE, for pedestrians to get to. Calling a marijuana store in a traffic island an "access point" is a bad joke in poor taste. That traffic island is completely inaccessible to pedestrians in general, let alone someone with disabilities.

Their My Choice program is a complete joke, because even though I tell them to deliver to my front door, their drivers deliberately ignore this option and do whatever they want and deliberately dump my packages in a dump site "access point" that is as far away as possible and inaccessible to me. It's retaliation for having the audacity to complain about how they treat me. It's a common complaint, but UPS refuses to resolve the problem. Their favorite excuse, which is a bald faced lie, is to claim they attempted delivery. The driver comes prepared with a fist full of door tags and never takes packages out of his truck, because he never had the intention of delivering any packages.

Claimed loss: It's UPS's fault I couldn't keep my landline phone number I've had for many years, because they refused to deliver the package that included the device that I needed to use because I was changing phone service providers.

Desired outcome: Deliver ALL my packages, regardless of who the sender is, to my apt door, and stop saying "attempted delivery" when no such attempt is ever made.

UPS My package not delivered to my address

I have cameras on my front porch, 3333 twinflower rd. I have not received my package. My tracking number stated it was left on my front porch 02/08/2024. The delivery person left it somewhere else, and they need to back track. Pay more attention and show proof where they delivered it to. I need my package or refund asap. Thank you kindly.

UPS Delivery

Feb 08 2024 11:49am tracking #1z52e525031474755. I am disabled, I have repeatedly requested deliver all packages to front door. I even have it on my ups choice profile. It is on my address & delivery instructions, but driver continues to leave packages at street which is about 300 yards from front door. I have called local delivery hub in granbury texas to resolve this & they say they will speak to driver. Driver says there is no room to turn around, porch is unsafe, bad dog none of which is true there is room for an 18 wheeler to turn around, they have done it, there is no bad dog, house has handicapped ramp built into porch. It is hard for me to go to road to get packages in wheel chair. I am 89 years old. This is a service I pay for, & I think my delivery instructions should be honered. This has been going on for right at 2 years & still is not resolved.

UPS Package delivery delay

On Thrusday 2/1/24 I went to my local UPS store to send a package to Hauppauge, NY 11788, with 10,000 dollars Insurance. I was informed that this would mean I must send it overnight express @ a cost of $ 237.32, to be delivered on Friday 2/2/24. The package was not delivered until Monday 2/5/24. The excuse for the delay, given to me by the manager (Wendy), was that the printout did not have the suite on it. However on Monday the 5th it was delivered. I have a photo of the shipping box in question showing the complete address.

When I brought this to Wendy's attention on 2/8/24 @ about 12:30 pm, she insisted that the label did not contain the suite #. After some discussion, I told her this company excuse sucked and she replied that I sucked also!

If the package was able to be delivered on Monday, why wasn't it delivered on Friday?

I respectfully request a refund of a fee for service not rendered, but paid for! Sincerely,
