terrible service
Terrible service on 7/19 around 6pm. No one taking drive thru orders and then attitudes when I drove to the window to ask if their speaker was broken. Was told they are "to busy" and couldn't take orders. I just needed 3 hotdogs and they laughed and said $8 dollars. I reminded him of the $1 day and he came back with correct price. I didn't get receipt or correct change back. Waited almost half an hour. The buns were hard and barely had any chili cheese on them.
75 minute wait for 3 hot dogs
Today was the dollar hotdog day (7/19/17). I ordered my food at exactly 11:30 according to the short receipt that I still have. I waited for twenty minutes until they announced the screens were down and we needed to turn in our receipts to fill our orders. they continued to take orders and would put the new customer receipts on top of waiting customer receipts. Then they started o just fill orders for customers who had pushed their way tot he front, instead of going by the receipts. I waited 75 minutes to get 3 hot dogs. Ridiculous!
711 Louisiana St Ste 100, Houston, TX 77002
Today is Natl. Hot Dog Day. Your Hwy. 165 S.Monroe, LA [U.S.A.] location was out of hot dogs at 4:15pm c.t. this afternoon. They were out of bread waiting for a delivery truck. I punched the red button twice before anyone answered. I was then told they could not sell me the three hot dogs I wanted. I told them to cancel the order and drove off. Poor customer service and poor management. I guess, by tomorrow, the hot dogs will be selling for $1.99, again. I won't be coming back for hot dogs.

rude workers
One of the workers was waiting on my stall and the stall next to me and me and my daughter had the windows down and heard the worker call the young girl next to me a "fake a** b****" and stopped waiting on her. We sat there for thirty minutes and me and my daughter had received our food but the girl next to me had still not received her order.
I buzzed back in and ordered something small for my daughter and the same worker, who's name tag said Halley, brought it out. I asked her why the car next to me had not received her food and she stayed quiet for a moment then proceeded to tell me that she ordered a chicken sandwich and it takes time to cook.
45 minutes had passed and finally a different worker brought the food out in what looked like a crumpled bag. This was very unprofessional and while that worker was on the clock she should not have done the things she had done.
Sonic needs to have employees with better attitudes and customers
everything
At a moment in time, I was an employee at a Sonic and I have to say. It is one of the most dysfunctional jobs I mean don't even get me started on the fact that we're always short staffed and that we don't have that much help when it comes to car hopping. And it's even more of a dilemma when working on the fountain. The working environment isn't even that clean. Always have to swat flies away from drinks and then when drinks are made with big holes they simply put a sticker on it and act like it's nothing. And before I was ever an employee I was a customer and I have to say nothing has changed. Still short handed and still don't get orders out on time. Such a dysfunctional place to work I wouldn't recommend working there as your first job or any type of job. It's completely horrible. I hated working there with a passion and whenever I see the same stupid commercials on television I cringe and simply change the channel. Just like they simply put stickers on the blasts and shakes that have holes in them. And they really in a health inspector because the [censor] in there (excuse my grammar) ain't lookin' pretty. (I don't think Chef Gordon Ramsey can fix that s**t).
As far as sanitary goes, it really depends on the store. My store is clean because we have a chores list, but I've seen the inside of other sonics and it really made me lose my appetite. I remember for the longest time I hoped my boss would get fired because he literally didn't promote me from a trainee to a carhop until after 8 months of working there. He said I was "too quiet" and that he wanted me to work on being more outgoing before carhopping. [censor]. The only reason I was quiet was because the other workers were openly racist, SEXist, and I never felt comfortable to be myself around them. The only reason I stayed was because sonic was the only fast food place I knew that was willing to be flexible with my hours (because I had softball games, soccer, AP classes, etc). I don't really have any problems with my managers and assistant managers, but my GM always complains about us carhops not being able to work every single day... even though we all have lives outside of work, which is something a full-time employee doesn't always understand.
Overall, most of my stress comes from the customers.
-"Why does it say $6.29 on the menu but it's $6.83 on the screen?!" (Adding extras like slushes (instead of fountain drinks) and jalapenos to your burger costs extra. But seriously, is it the end of the world that you have to spend an extra 60 cents?)
-"Small water please, that's all!"... that's literally something you can get at your house. Your stopping other people's orders from being delivered, just cause of a 14oz cup of water.
-When customers press the button and don't know what to order. Ahem, the menu is right there. 24/7. Don't press it until you know what you want.
-I said it before, but customers arguing about the prices. We have nothing to do with how things cost, we just abide by them. We're not going to discount your food just cause you think it's overpriced, either take it or leave it.
-"You guys really need to fix these things, it never takes my credit card." That's something to complain to corporate about, not a 16 year old employee. Do you just expect me to take out a screw driver and fix it? If it bother's you that much that you have to wait another 20-30 seconds for the payment to go through, then you need to get professional help for your temper problems. Or you know, carry cash with you, just like what every adult should be doing.
-Customers not tipping on big orders. Yes, tipping is a choice, but so many people don't know how little carhops make. I petition for all carhops to wear t-shirts that say in big bold letters: I MAKE ONLY $4/HOUR
And lastly:
Me: "Is everything on your screen correct?"
Customer: *Doesn't answer*
Me: "I'm sorry, what was that?"
Customer: *Angrily* "YES."
Me: *Takes out order*
Customer: "These tater tots were supposed to be large, not medium.
So overall, I think I'm going to stay just to try to become a crew leader and make more money (and hopefully get more flexible hours), but the customers are what really makes it unbearable sometimes. I now feel bad for customer support people.
service
My husband and I went to Sonic today for 2 simple drinks and large Cheese Sticks only to be turned away after being told that they were too busy to serve anymore customers due to being short handed. That will be the last time we will go there. If the manager can't work under pressure and teach their staff how to work under pressure then they're not worth my time. We and my son go to sonic almost daily and they will no longer have our business after that.
service
My name is christa Arnest. I used to work for sonic so I guess I'm a bit more of a stickler for rules and policies. My cousin was here for the fourth of July all the way from north Carolina. One request he had is he wanted to go to sonic. So I took him to the sonic on mercury blvd in Hampton Virginia. We ordered and we waited. And waited. And waited some more. I noticed one car hop. Said car hop was not on skates nor was he running as is what policy used to state. When I had finally had all I could take of watching the parking lot fill up and him taking his sweet time getting orders out I went in and explained that it was a problem for me to see this. When I said I used to work for the company I was rudely asked if I wanted to help them. My cousin got his food but I personally will never go back. Oh and by the way we didn't get a mint with the meal ( you never do at that sonic) when asked why...I was told they were low and the car hop did not know the meaning of the mint!
custard concrete and the manager
I went to the Sonic in Sand Springs OK the other night and ordered a concrete like I had ordered several times. In the past the concretes were very good, this one was think and tasted like a shake so I conplained and the manager came out and told me that the concrete is just ice cream with some powder in it and that can't be true.. This one tasted like a shake and it was not good. This Sonic is located in Sand Springs OK at 38th Street and highway 97. The manager insisted that the concrete is just ice cream. I need to hear from someone before I order another ccustard concrete, This manager need some training on customer relations because she doesn't know how to treat people. My name is Bill Collins, email: [protected]@yahoo.com 607 W 38th street, Sand Springs Ok, [protected]. I really like custard concrete and would lke to continue to purchase however the last one that I told you about was just like a thin shake.
Yea those custard concretes have the potential to be so good if they are made right. I have seen them many times not mixed correctly and so it's like regular ice cream on top, good custard texture in the middle and unmixed powder at the bottom. The last time I am ever going to Sonic was the other day and I ordered one just hoping it would be correct because I remember how yummy they can be, and it was the worst one yet. Just vanilla ice cream with no powder and stale oreos and what I think was just some hot fudge to try and make it dark chocolate. It tasted terrible and was all melty since they blended or mixed it without the powder.
incorrect change/theft/arguing with customers
Me and my friend went to Sonic in Florence SC to get two Rt.44 sweet tea's during happy hour. At first, they handed me two medium sweet tea's (for $1.80). I informed the carhop that they had got the order incorrect and that I had ordered two Route 44. Sweet Tea's. They were polite and brought back out two Route 44's, for the same price of $1.80. I handed the carhop a $10 bill that I had got from my friend (Two adults saw it as a $10 bill), the carhop only gave me $3 back, I informed her that she game me incorrect change and the carhop then proceeded to argue with me about how her change was correct. The carhop literally stole $5 from me. A desirable and understandable fair resolution would be discipline/termination of the carhop and my money back that was stolen from me.

service
We went to Sonic on Spring Valley in Dallas for a couple drinks, server cashed out someone else's check on my card and now has overdrawn me! she looked at me like she didn't know what she was supposed to do, like maybe I was just going to accept paying for someone's meal? I had to tell her we needed it resolved. Then the managers comes out with the money refunded in cash that I didn't want. Now my account is overdrawn and I will be charged $35 in overdraft fees because of an incompetent employee... In what world are 3 drinks $20? Then I still have to pay when you mess up! Didn't give any Sorry here's a coupon for your next visit. . Unacceptable, I think you should be responsible for the overdraft charge. I work my butt off for my money and am barely scraping by. This is a rare treat for me. Now thanks to Sonic $4 treat turned into $39 treat.. You may have lost my business!
waiting too long for service
On 6/30/2017 my husband and I went to sonic for a frozen lemonade, the car next to us want a .99 happy hour corn dog, the kid said "oh I'm sorry you just missed happy hour" I looked at my watch it was 4:10.My husband pushed the button & nothing we waited & it again & nothing, people were getting food orders and we sat he push it again and a girl answered so we ordered my lemonade. The manger went out to talk to friends, about 5-7 minutes, I was done.No one came with the lemonade so I went to the door, the manger came back gave me the drink for free, I told her it was freakin ridiculous to wait 25 minutes.
food/drinks
Recently purchased a drink from sonic there was slime in the cup. Rude customer service. Owner has heard many complaints and has done nothing about it. Her name is Vanessa Ruiz. Multiple people in waller county have made several comments about how horrible it is such as a employee scratching his foot and serving food after, slime in ice, hair in food, cold food, rude employees, and someone even found a toe nail that was painted on the burger. Something needs to be done. If nothing is done it is just a waste of space!
hamburger
I went to sonics and order several things one which happens to be a hamburger ... that was filled with tissue in the inside of it . I called and took the burger back . Manager on duty wasn't really concerned . I will be letting the news know how poorly we were treated . Loganville sonics suck customer service is awful ! I would like for someone to contact me back about this manner [protected]@yahoo.com
wait times
Pulled up to drive though no one answered for a solid 2 or 3 min. So I tried to pull around. Some one else is already in the window. It has been 10 min. They finally get their food. It took 25 min from pulling into drive though to getting my shakes.it is the Sonic off Walnut in Rogers ar. Drive though guy said two people got in fight and got sent home. That is why they are under staffed
horrible customer service!
I received horrible customer service at the sonic in auburn, al located at 1703 s college st . When I first pulled up I told the server my order, when I didn't hear a total back I assumed she didn't hear me so I told her my order again which I wanted 2 simple large ice waters. I pulled to the window waiting for her to tell me my total and she still did not say anything as she held her hand out talking to other people and waiting on me. She didn't acknowledge me by saying hi or giving me my total so I had to ask her how much as she told me it was 44 cents . At that point I knew it was wrong and she didn't hear my order so I told her I ordered 2 not one she proceededs to roll her eyes while giving me my drink. So then I drop the water and drove off an as I am driving off she steps outside and proceeds to stick both of her middle fingers up at me. This was a young black light skinned female working at the drive through around 5-6pm wearing a lime green shirt wit black hair and the length of her hair was to her shoulders. She is very unprofessional and has lack of respect I will never spend my money at another sonic again! I will most definitely tell all my family and friends all my social media friends about this incident! This is ridiculous and I will never step foot at a sonic store ever again in my life!
rude employee
I was at the Sonic drive-thru in Destin, FL on 7/11/17 at 3:37 PM and the employee Nicole was very rude. My friend and I ordered food and were trying to continue our order and she just ignored us and spouted off the price of what we had ordered. We pulled up to the window and tried to tell her the rest of our order, she rolled her eyes and slammed the window on us. We went to give her the change due and she scoffed and rolled her eyes once again. She was not friendly and as locals appalled by her attitude. Hopefully this issue will get resolved quickly.
chicken sandwiches
My wife and I stopped at your location at 1498 Route 38 East Hainesport, NJ 08036 late this morning and ordered 2 #9 meals that consisted of grilled chicken sandwiches. I'd like to preface this complaint in that I very rarely write a letter regarding food but the chicken sandwiches were the absolute worst I've ever purchased. The meat seemed very grisly and very tough. I've never had a tough piece of chicken but for $15 for 2 meals this was about as bad as it gets. Please, don't send me any coupons to revisit because we won't be returning.
Thanks
disrespectful service when asked about when my order was going to be ready
I was at the Tracy Sonic and placed an order at 9:50pm. I had another friend with me who also placed an order, she received hers about 10:05. Another 10 minutes go by and I haven't gotten mine so I politely walk up and ask a female employee about my order and if it would be up soon since I had been waiting about 25-30 minutes. She then proceeded to give me attitude that was not needed. I walked away and waited for my food to then be given more attitude. She took my card and said "sorry I wasn't fast enough". I was taken aback but apologized to her when she came back because I understand that I could have came off as rude, but I was politely asking. I don't want to start problems but I work in fast food so I know that things get busy at nights but to be rude to a customer is not good customer service.
unethical behavior
My family and I went to sonic yesterday to at. I ordered a diet green tea and 2 grilled chicken sandwiches. the number on my receipt is 625292 . I had the bogo classic chicken sandwich combo. when I was through ordering for some reason the woman who stated her name Amanda when she took my order was still on the order box. the way Amanda was talking about other employees was absolutely absurd. again she was still connected to me and I continued to listen as she was very unprofessional talking about other employees . I then asked who the manager was and was told it was Amanda. your managers reflect your store. your employees reflect your store. The waitress who said her name was Jessica was very sweet and attentive. I recorded a lot of what the manager was saying and I will make it public as well to corporate. until you do something about this I will make sure my family nor anyone I know comes back there.. your store has 0 percent reflection due to your unprofessional manager. She was bragging about making more money as a manger than other managers.. the stuff is just too graphic to put on here and I had small children with me.. either something is done or this will go as public as I can get it
unprofessional and rude behavior
July 9, 2017 at probably about a little bit after 10:00 pm, my family and I were just trying to make a decision on what to eat after leaving Sacramento. There were four of us in the car so we made a decision to stop my Sonic on our way home to grab something to eat. Our experience. We pulled up to the window and pressed the red button for service. A lady responded and so we started to place our order. As my daughter was ordering her auntie had changed her mind about a drink that she wanted so that's when the lady taking our order started to change her tone and caught and attitude right away. We noticed as we continued to place our order she was very very rude and had an attitude as we proceeded to finish our order. We then paid for it and waited. We then noticed that people were pulling in next to us placing their orders and receiving it right away. Here we are 15 minutes outside still waiting. I thought maybe because we ordered a little bit more food because there were 4 of us in the car. After we sat in the car for almost a half an hour I said to my daughter press the red button to check on our order. My daughter did just that and when the lady responded on the speaker, my daughter asked her how much longer is it going to take for our order and she said what was your order and my daughter said we are on stall 16. She said ok repeat your order at that time I decided to walk in and find out what was going on. I walked in and said we have been waiting outside for our food for almost a half an hour and she responded by saying we sent our guy out there and he said that there is no on out there. I started to laugh and said how is it that he said that and we are sitting right in the car. She responded by saying well he came out and said that you guys weren't out there. At this time time I was pretty much pissed off because first of all there are 4 people in the car and we all didn't see anybody come by our car. We seen them go to everybody's car but ours. I told her how is 4 people going to miss a guy or girl skating by with their high energy and smiling at everyone else but me and my family. She said well your food has been sitting here for a half an hour and I said we know that because we have been sitting outside for a half an hour. She had a pissy not so professional attitude and was not apologetic about anything. She never once said I'm sorry or we will get you your order right away. She did no such thing at all and to top it off her employees thought it was funny and was all laughing at me as I was upset about them lying that they sent a guy out and me and my daughter was looking at each other in disbelief at the people that you guys hire to run your establishment. They are unprofessional and rude with no customer service experience. I then asked the lady that took my order which I believe was the manager because she was the only one talking for her name and the corporate number which I woke up this morning to call and it was a non working number smh. So I don't even know if the name that she gave me is even really her real name. I would not recommend Sonic to anyone. I believe we were being discriminated against and shame on you guys if that is how you operate. Never again will I go to Sonic in Vacaville Ca or any other of your establishments.
