Pharmacy
On or about Wednesday August 7 2019 I went into store #1251 in Newcastle Ontario to pick up my girlfriends prescription. Upon going up to the pickup counter I was approached by a pharmacy technician who proceeded to hand my girlfriend and I a prohibition trespassing order in which stated that I and my girlfriend are not to enter the store or pharmacy...

service from staff
FYI...This was on my Facebook newsfeed. I hope matter is investigated. As store management runs both Prince Albert locations. The store does have customers service issues. I and my family have been long time shoppers and use pharmacy For all prescriptions. But like many of extended family have left or Truly considering Taking Business elsewhere. T. Devitte
store employees
I worked late last night and needed to run to the store to grab a roll of paper towels and I walked in at 950 and the lights were almost all off as if they were closed and the employee very rudely said, "You know we're almost closed, right?" I walked back out. I was very aware of the time and understand the employees have families to get home to. I had 10 minutes and would've been in and out in a few minutes.
beauty dept.
I am very disappointed with the way that the employee at this Shoppers treated and made me feel like I was a criminal/scamming. Yesterday I purchased my regular Jouviance face cream and like it so much, I decided to purchase the eye serum at a cost of 30.29 plus tax. These items were purchased at another Shoppers. This morning when I thought I would put the eye serum on but after continually pumping the bottle nothing was coming out. So I twisted the cap off and the bottle was empty with a lot of brown stuff on the bottom!
I decided to go right away to return it and exchange for another bottle. When I got to Shoppers and asked if I could exchange at any Shoppers, she said yes. When I explained the situation, she looked surprised and after opening the bottle, she asked me if I had optimum points and I said of course and gave her my card. She then explained to the other employee that she wanted to look at my history to check my previous purchases. This was even after I told her that I have never purchased the eye serum. After looking at my history, she was still reluctant but proceeded to the shelf to get another bottle. She told the other employee as she was walking away, I will explain later, it's too complicated.
She came back a few minutes later saying she didn't have any on the shelf which I truly believe was false. I said fine, I will go to the other Shoppers as I know they had a few. She said ok do that and then again whispered something to the other employee.
As a regular customer of Shoppers with over 200, 000 optimum points, I am very disappointed with how this employee made me feel. This employee should NOT be serving/dealing with customers in any sort of way! This will be the last time that I frequent your stores.
scrubbing bubbles
My son has a house on Broad Street close to the above Shoppers's Drug Mart. I told him what he needed for his washroom was a Scrubbing Bubbles brush. I usually purchase any Scrubbing Bubbles products at home here in Ottawa at Shoppers Drug Mart. At the Crown Street store they only had the refills for the Scrubbing Bubbles Wand and do not even have the wand on their inventory order sheet. How crazy is that? We tried to buy bags of ice there as well but do not carry that product as well. Might as well close this store if they cannot carry needed products.i tried another Shoppers Drug Mart in the area but they do not even carry the Scrubbing Bubbles refills. I never bothered to ask about ice after that. Might as well close all Shoppers Drug Mart stores in St John NB.
staff
I went to this location today August 13th 2019 at 13.30- 13.45 pm to buy a men's perfume.
I wasn't sure which one I wanted so I looked for a staff member to help. There was no staff member available on the floor so I approached one of the ladies at the teller.
I asked if she could show me the perfumes I looked at. Her reply "these are the expensive perfumes over $50 and 100$". I paused and asked what does she mean by that I did not ask for price yet. Then she replied " we do not have testers here, you can search on google" I replied saying google won't have testers either. I am confused at the same time figuring what is she trying to tell me? I can't afford those perfumes or she is just lazy to come out and show me the perfumes? Meanwhile the lady behind replied that "you would have to go to different location to try on some". I left the location.
But this such ridiculous behaviour of that lady not making any effort to sell the perfume and rude replies. I wasted my time at this location and will not again. But how could she just assume that I wasn't looking for expensive perfumes?
infusion sets for insulin pumps
My husband and I have just moved to the area. My husband wears a insulin pump for his Diabetes. To our surprise Shoppers Drug Mart can't order infusion sets for his insulin pump. And we should go to another drug store to order them. We moved from Paris, Ontario and every drug store there either has them or can order them. I find it every funny that a drug...

Hi, we have purchased cream two times recently. Both times the expiry date was in the future and both times we opened them, they had gone bad. Like chunky bad. I love my shoppers and the points and the convenience. But this is disappointing. I didn't bother the return of either item because it's a hassle and embarrassing to do so.
If it's for sale, it should be still good right?
Thank you for your time.
I just wanted to let you know. I am adding my card so you can verify that I purchase cream yesterday and in the past.
life brand gold tightening face mask
I bought this face mask in shoppers at 3 for $5. The minute I put it on my face, I had a burning sensation. It stung especially in my lip and nose are. I had to discontinue and remove the product immediately. I don't have sensitive skin and I believe skin care such as over the counter face masks should not burn or sting. I hope you can improve on this product and give a refund for this poor face mask. I was also horrified to learn that the same reaction happened to other people when I googled the product.
pharmacist/owner - maged saad
I asked the pharmacist/owner - Maged Saad - what is "Sensoril" ( an ingredient in a Life Brand Vitamin B-Calming Formula B50 Complex with Sensoril )? He took a good minute to answer, looking puzzled, and then said "it helps the vitamin B's absorb better".
When I got home, I googled it. It's a natural medicinal herb that helps: improve blood sugar, inflammation, mood, memory, stress + anxiety, boost muscle strength, and fertility. No where did I find it helps with absorption.
The subject of this complaint might seem minor, but it's the fact that obviously he didn't know the answer, and just guessed. What if I was asking something serious about a prescription! His behaviour bothers me. I wouldn't trust him as my pharmacist.
Thanks,
Linda Melanson

waiting time / unavailability of medication
I would like to complain about the service that I received today at a Pharmaprix in Montreal. I was told the time to fill up my prescription would be 20-25 minutes and I decided to wait since I was in a break from work and I could stay for this period.
After 40 minutes (during which several prescriptions became ready for people that were called and were not there) I complained of the delay and they informed me that my prescription would be next. Just noting that, when I got there, there was only one other customer waiting and she had left after a few minutes of my arrival.
After 5 more minutes I was called and informed that one of my medications wasn't available. It's unacceptable to call a customer after 45 minutes to let them know something that should have been told them at the beginning. If my medication wasn't available the pharmacy's system should flag that right away. This is really unacceptable as a service. Now I have to go back later and hope that I won't have to expend another 45 minutes to be able to pick-up my prescriptions.
la roche posay
I got this product last week and once I bought it there was no tape on it and I didn't notice that it was medium shade instead of light so I went to the same store to exchange it with a light one but the lady who was on the cash register didn't wanna exchange it for me and her excuse was that it looks opened and she can't return it but I explained to her and I was insisted and at the end she gave me a gist card with the same amount of money so I can get the one that I wanted.
That wasn't my problem if there was no tape on it and actually they cheated me.
$10 coupon issued by shoppers drug in gananoque was not honored
I went into Shoppers Drug Mart while touring Thousand Island on July 25.
I took advantage of the senior discount, spent >$50 and received a paper copy of $10 coupon.
$10 coupon issued by Shoppers which I received before were like a gift card, I did double check with the cashier if I could use it when I return home and he said yes.
I went to Shoppers again today but was told they cannot honor the paper coupon.
I'm very disappointed with the current situation and hope this matter will be investigated and rectified.

I called shoppers drug mart to ask about the clinic that's in the same building as them but different entrances. I tried my best to look for it online but I couldn't so I figured my best bet Would be to call shoppers drug mart. The reason why I was confident that they'd help me was because they have helped me regarding the clinic many many times before with...
Read full complaintpromotion points not accurate
Hi,
Please see your promotion attached.
I had purchased $40 worth of items and should get 3000 points for every $10 spent as stated but i only received 3000. The cashier even agreed that based on the promotion i should get 3000 points for every $10 i spent but she could not confirm until the transaction was done. I should have received 12000 points. Your promotion does not say per transaction or receive 3000 points with any purchase over $10. I purposely went to Shoppers because of this promotion but could have saved half the money elsewhere.
Please let me know if you will honor your promotion and give me 3000 points for every $10 i spent. My receipt is attached.
eye cream and the assistant manager jeffrey
Hello! I purchased an eye serum on July 29th from the Warden and Huntingwood location, store# 875. The sales associate recommended this eye serum as it was Canadian made and a great product so I purchased it. Not even a week later it fell from my medicine cabinet onto my sink counter and shattered. I brought it back into the store today to show them what was left of the bottle and how dangerous it was, with sharp pieces, my young child could have cut themselves with the sharp edges. I wanted to exchange it for a different eye cream since I only got to use it a couple of times. The assistant manager Jeffrey was very unprofessional and said it was my own responsibility and he couldn't do anything for me. I am very unsatisfied with the service I received from him and will not be shopping at Shopper's Drug Mart any longer. I have been in retail from many years and can say that the lack of service I received today is a disgrace. I don't know how he can be an assistant manager of a store. I am disgusted in the lack of service and respect I received from Jeffrey. You have lost a loyal customer.
pharmacy
As i dont have extrna Insurrance to pay my prescriptions i get them for 6 months to avoid extra cost of filling charges .. as i have been doing this last 4 years with pharmasave and london drugs . Today shoppers drug pharmacy on country club mall told me their owner Tim knstructed the employees jot to give more than 100!days of prescriptions.so they will over charge me 120 dollars a year Which i thknk should be told before i transfered my medication s to there by over charging me and not very customer friendly .. also they don't thake PC creit card or let you redeem any points you have on it.. though pharmacy is inside the shoppers drug market but it is total different entity making its iwn rules, and it is giving a bad name to shoppers drug market and super stores chains, as i owner of PC credit card I thought i would be able to use my card and its benefits in all its stores .. apperantlh not ..
If you ever read the optimum policy, you'd know that the government doesnt allow points to be earned on prescriptions (the govt ruled it as bribery many years ago), so the company also doesnt allow points to be used on prescriptions. Dumb child.
customer service
Was trying to purchase 8 Dairyland one litre chocolate milk, had 4 taken out of my bin and told there was a limit, nothing on signage about a limit. I was told the limit was due to retailers buying 12 of them. I was wearing my work shirt so thinking they were jumping to conclusions and it is really no ones business what I was doing with it. I find it odd a store wouldn't want to sell their product. I was also told they are a pharmacy not a food store, so they can set up limits all they want. Working at Superstore that is like saying it's a clothing store not a grocery because they sell clothes.

I'm upset with the customer service I received. When I went to purchase an item from the store, I informed the sales rep that I had Tax exempt. I placed the card on the counter and she acknowledged that I had. She scanned item and I reminded her again. She asked if I had a points card and took it.
When I went back to receipt I noticed that the item was $100.00 even, plus tax it came to $113.00. Tax came to $13.00. Correct me if I'm wrong but full tax is 13%. That made me look and see that the 8% tax wasn't taken off.
I'm not upset that $8.00 wasn't taken off my purchase. I'm more upset of the ignorance. When I mention I have a status card... twice, and its not applied that is Discrimination in the workplace as the employee is not trained nor is the employer ensuring that their employees are trained properly.

The Ontario Ministry of Finance has implemented a hotline service at 1-866-ONT-TAXS (1-866-668-8297) that will accept calls from citizens to report retailers that:
•refuse to provide the tax exemption for First Nation customers upon presentation of a valid status card;
•insist on the collection of unnecessary personal information (such as taking a photocopy of a status card, address, phone number, email, signature etc.) as a requirement before providing the exemption;
•raise the price on purchased items that qualify for exemption;
•insist that you pay the full tax at the time of purchase and submit your receipt to the Ministry of Finance for refund;
•are unsure about how to process tax exempt transactions; or
•are confused or are under the wrong understanding about the rules for First Nations tax exemption.

She literally picked up my card. She saw it twice and she was informed. The whole transaction was less then 2 minutes. She wouldn't/shouldn't have forgotten. That right there is plain ignorance and stupidity.
Unless she applied it and no tax came off. Something is wrong with the system.
The items are clearly priced. Either you purchase 12 packages at the discounted price, or you pay the clearly posted single price. This is not a negotiation. It doesn't matter if you want one, or 7, or 8, and not 12. So what's your problem? I am a consumer from hell when it comes to being charged more than I should be. I am not a fan of Shoppers, and some of the games they play. However, in this situation Shoppers is clearly correct in their pricing policy, and its application. The fact that there was not 12 available for you to purchase, I will agree is vexing. And, I believe some reasonable accommodation should have been found; like prorating the price (Price for 12 divided by 12, then multiplied by the number of items remaining in their inventory- 7 as displayed.) However, and I am not a lawyer, I can see no legal reason that would compel them to prorate their price. And, though priced, Shoppers is still not under any legal obligation to sell them to you at the posted price. This fact, is brought to light through complicated contract laws that exist in Canada with respect to the offering of goods in a retail environment. I wish there was a concise way to explain this without resorting to all kinds of legal jargon. Again, I am not a lawyer, but have been assured common perceptions, about how sales between customers and stores work in Canada, are woefully misunderstood by most consumers.
In viewing the signs, I am unaware if there is a difference in colour between "SALE" tags, and "REGULAR" price tags. The fact that TWO identical tags exist, one on each display card, indicates that the price tag, even if claimed to be incorrect, was deliberately placed on both display cards. That said, I am curious as to what the 'regular' selling price for this item was. Looking around on the internet, it appears that these hair items are sold in a 'multi-pack' fashion, where the display card contains varying amounts of of product, depending on style. So, what we have here is not anything more than an incomplete retail item, being discounted because there is only a 'residual' quantity remaining. (No different than selling an open box of an item where some of a product has been removed; but the remaining product is perfectly usable) So, revisiting the situation, I am not even at all certain where the "1 for $2.99" was derived from.
