I am extremely disappointed with my recent Maytag purchase. My brand-new washing machine failed in less than a month, and what followed has been even more frustrating than the breakdown itself.
It took 4–6 weeks just to reach a live customer service representative while my washer sat completely unusable. A repair technician was eventually sent, but the repair did not fix the problem. I have now missed work to meet service appointments and have spent additional money just to keep my family’s laundry done.
A washing machine is not a luxury item — it is a basic household necessity. I chose Maytag because of its reputation for reliability and durability, and this experience has not reflected that promise.
I am asking Maytag to make this right immediately with a replacement or refund, along with reimbursement for documented expenses and lost work time.
I truly hope the company will stand behind its product and resolve this quickly.
Desired outcome: I would like a replacement machine of different model comparable value. I would also at least some compensation for the hardship of being without and using laundry mat and having to buy a used one to get us through.
