My wife and I have owned a home in Gilbert for the last 22 years and bought it new. Over the course of that time we have had to replace all of the appliances except the OTR microwave once and each are still working relatively well. The handle on the GE OTR microwave finally broke last week and we tried all over the country to purchase a replacement for the molded handle worth in the vicinity of $20 dollars but found this item to be selling for $130. We agreed that we were not willing to be cheated like that so we went shopping for a new microwave. We covered the Phoenix market pretty well and my wife discovered the Maytag Model MMV4205DH and decided that it would do what she needed. We tried to find it locally in white but could not and she went on line and located the white version at a cost we could handle at a retailer in New York, P.C. Richard & Son and placed an order. It should be shipped this week.
Today I went on line to check out the quality of that product and found a page that was listed as a consumer affairs rating of the Maytag product. The website address is below.

The entire list of comments is about this model Maytag microwave and the door problem that has been in the product for several years and still seems to be a hazard. Why has this defective door design remained in the product line for all this time causing extra costs and misery for people who have purchased the Maytag product in good faith? Why is there still no fix to the problem described by these hundreds of people who used to be loyal Maytag customers? Can you explain to me how I am going to get this unit repaired when (not if) it breaks as these others have done.
I am now in a quandary. I don’t know whether to call Richard and Son and cancel my order or wait and hope for the best. There seems to be a high percentage of customers who are suffering from this poor door design, yet there seems to be no replacement door in the works to solve the problem. Please advise me on the current status of a design upgrade that will solve this problem once and for all. Thank you.

Contact may tag on Thursday about problem with my washer. They made the appointment for repair company to come out . Three days later the repair company calls and cancelled the appointment and said may tag order the part and will send it to my home and then I am to call for new appointment . I received a part, just the day before my original cancelled appointment and they made another appointment for another week. Mean While my washer full of water with clothes and they have not even looked at the thing to make sure that part really is what wrong the machine. Then I was pissed cause I don't thing what their guessing is wrong with it. Then I have to wait even longer. I called may tag and of course the apologize but could not even do anything cause the computer have been down all day. I realized they warranty answering service is not even in our state . What happen to their repairmen and why are they in our state? Who going to pay for my clothes that will be smelling of mold and who going to pay for my time to go to laundry mat while I am waiting for repair service . Two weeks have to go by and probably have to wait longer because it probably is right part. It first may tag I brought and it's just over a month old. I was under the impression may tag was good name I guess I might be. Wrong . At least when I got Sears brand I did not have to wait a week and they looked at machine and got the part with in the hour if the did have it on their truck right at parts place around the corner from my house.

Our new wash machine is so loud that we can not wash our clothes while we are home. We had a service person out to look at it and he said that this is normal operation. This is our first and will be our last Maytag product if this is really normal operation of your equipment.
I am attaching a couple videos to show you how noisy and why we are so disappointed in your equipment.
We are looking for a solution to this issue and looking forward to hearing from you.

I have had my washer and dryer for 3.5 years and have had a repair man out already several times to fix both. My dryer is currently not working and I just spent $400.00 to fix it and it did not solve the problem. I purchased Maytag machines because of the claim that they are quality units. I know after many years of use you may have a problem here or there, but 3.5 years is not acceptable. The machines were not cheap and I am very disappointed.

Maytags today are not your mom and pop's Maytags. Many complaints here and on other sites. Only surpassed by Samsung. Toss them and get Whirlpool.W & D, or Roper. My Roper washer was el cheapo, is 10 years old and still runs fine. Also, check your horoscope before you go out and purchase. Never buy appliances on a day when your natal mercury is afflicted (just sayin').

I bought my Maytag Bravo XL this February 2016, and my clothes come out dirtier than it is when it goes in. I used different kinds of HE soap already but there's always a 'dust/lint' residue on dark clothes whenever I wash them.
Also cleaned the washer as recommended using recommended washing machine cleaner, nothing works. Basically I have to scrub off the lint/residue by hand to even get my clothes clean. I just want to kick this machine to death and get me a $300 old fashioned machine that works better!

I have the washer about 2 years. It have a big button in the middle where you can change the cicle. A few months ago the botton just came of. Is made of plastic and haves to 2 legs that keeps it in. I called and ask how can I get it replaced. They say ot would cost me 325 dollars to get a plastig button replaced. Never ever will I buy a mytag again.

We purchased a Bravo XL 4 years ago, Worst washer ever! Will not fill enough- clothes come out dry or full of soap #### and very smelly! Worst POS I have ever bought! Will never buy another Maytag ever again! Maytag should be sending out a recall on this machine! All reviews online about this machine say this machine is worthless! Come on Maytag, do the right thing and give everyone their money back for this POS machine! This is our first Brand New Washer we ever bought and we are very upset! recieved unpacked and was caved in on bottom. it was christmas present from my husband. company couldnt deliver after we waited 3 weeks then it couldnt be installed. just complete disaster. very upset and disappointed will never buy from home depot again. i think maytag should make this right. this oven has a 10 year warranty. thats why we wanted a good oven, it was packed damaged from wherever it originated from, because when we got it the packinging was not damaged but when we took all the protectors off and styrofoam it was caved in on bottom. i spoke with a lady from maytag then she transferred me to home depot, i got no results just run around so i need some results on this matter. brand new maytag bravos xl washer won't clean
I had my new Bravos XL Washer delivered on Nov 12, 2016. I read the instruction manual, determined that I was already using an HE laundry detergent and started doing laundry. I have tried all the different cycles and settings and keep getting most of my laundry ruined. I sent my daughter home after Thanksgiving with a suitcase full of dried-on softener stained clothes. On that load we saw what it had done before we dried it and so I completely rewashed it without adding any other detergent or softener and then dried the clothes but the stains were still there. On most of the cycles, the clothes don't even get clean or dirt from one item will get transferred to another one. If you can't immediately tell what's wrong while the fabric is wet and you dry it, the stain/dirt is permanent. It's a disaster. I just want my money back or some money back. I picked Maytag because of the commercial from years ago with the repairman sitting in the corner with a lamp shade on his head, because he never needs to go repair anything. How I wish I had researched the major companies now but you just don't think you'd get something as bad as this brand new. I don't know how you stay in business with appliances like this. I know nothing is "wrong" with it. It's just a poorly designed appliance. Who's idea was it to barely put enough water in to dampen the clothes and just turn the drum? All that's doing is moving the drum, not the clothes. Of course it's getting stains from the softener/detergent. There isn't enough water or friction (without an agitator) to rub anything together.
Until I get a resolution to this, I'm going to go buy a secondhand washer and put my month old new washer in the garage. I refuse to keep ruining my clothes. There is nothing for you to fix. It's working as it was designed to work, badly. I want my money back!

I have read MANY complaints about this particular washer. I hope you can get some money back ! I also bought a wonderful washer from e-bay - a Whirlpool to go with my Whirlpool dryer and it works beautifully for $150 including delivery.

I purchased my dryer in April of 2016. Had it about a month and the start button broke. Home Depot brought me another one and the heating element wasn't working so they ordered another one and now the start button on this one broke again for the 3rd time! This is getting ridiculous. I spent a lot of money on a new dryer and I feel like I shouldn't be having this many problems. I may never but Maytag again!

I received the Certificate of Occupancy on my new home November 11, 2016. I couldn’t wait to start using my gorgeous Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer! At first I thought the problems were simply user error. I carefully read the users manual, called Maytag customer service for help, experimented with different detergents, different softeners, different cycles, smaller load sizes, different heats… to NO avail. The laundry is NOT getting clean. Items are coming out covered with soap [censor] and dirt! In addition, the laundry has deeply set wrinkles. I have tried different settings on the dryer and even tried taking the clothes out still damp but the wrinkles are set and will not come out.
12/2/16 Service Technician came out to troubleshoot and said the washer and dryer show “no error codes and test ok”. Nothing he could do to fix.
12/15/16 Service Technician came out to trouble shoot above problems & another new issue, dryer was flooding my laundry room with water. Again, there were “no error codes”. However, he was able to see the water shooting out the front of the dryer door. He then called Maytag engineering to troubleshoot and ultimately stop the water but he could not repair the problem of the wash machine not washing & the deeply set wrinkles destroying all my laundry.
The Service Technician was told by Maytag Engineers (File #[protected]) that “this is a flaw with the new washers designed after 2015 and can not be fixed. He instructed me to run laundry through a second wash cycle with out soap, then an additional rinse cycle and finally to iron my laundry once removed from the dryer!” I was sold a faulty product & demand a refund.
I have repeatedly called Maytag customer service and requested these units be returned or bought back. I was told there are no refunds or exchanges under any circumstance. NO ONE at Maytag cares about this problem. They are happy to keep footing the bill to send repair people to my home to try to fix the problem.
I have another Service Technician scheduled to come out 12/20/16. I will continue to schedule service appointments, every day if I have too, until this is resolved!
I thought I was purchasing a top of the line product from a trusted company. Please stand behind your product and make this right.

Today is Sunday, December 11, 2016. I purchased a new Maytag washer from Lowe's two weeks ago. (Had a Samsung earlier and did not perform up to my old Maytag standards.) The first time I used the new Maytag, I notice a lot of noise on the fill cycle. Tonight, (only the third time I used it) the washer made an unusally loud noise throughout the entire wash cycle. Sounded like the agitator(s) were scraping on metal!The sound is so loud, you can hear it from outside the house. Help. Very disappointed that I can't count on the Maytag to quietly wash the clothes. Do I need to have the washer replaced? (Desirable resolution is a washer that works without making me think the parts are coming unhinged.)

Maytag washers are junk and they should not be making any kind of noise they've had lots of time to develop a good machine and failed do not ever buy one of these pieces of junk I talked to a neutral party who sells parts for washers and he said to run away from this one immediately he said to get rid of the unit never service it never buy it
My maytag washer keeps eating my clothes... Today it was a brand new king sheet. They are pulled under the agitator and it holds them tightly. They have to be ripped out... Except today; that sheet isn’t coming out. I called customer service and since the washer is almost 2 years old, igor the “sorry charlie.” I will never buy another maytag product!

We have had our washer for some time now, and every once in awhile, and now more daily we have noticed a bad smell coming from the machine. I just saw a video on YouTube explaining how to clean the inside of the washer and how mold and bacteria buildup on the inside because it doesn't drain properly. Your company should do something about this and address the problem, or replace with a machine that doesn't do this. This is totally disgusting and I think our machine should be replaced.

distributor delivery inadequate
This is not a Maytag complaint but a Lowe's as your distributor complaint. I found a Maytag Bravo's at several stores but decided to purchase from Lowe's in Wilkes Barre PA. I purchased the washer on 11/25/16. The store was not busy at all but you order in the appliance department and pay at the front register. By the time I walked from the back of the store to the front to pay, they could not find my ordered Maytag Bravo's. After a half hour, they manually re-keyed my order to I could pay. During their re-keying, they failed to put in the correct delivery time. on 11/27/16 I receive a phone call from Lowe's that they would be delivering my washer on 11/28/16 BUT the time was 8am, which is when I'm at work. Luckily my neighbor was home and met them to have the washer delivered. By the time I arrived at home in the evening, I found that they delivered the wrong washer. It was a Maytag but a much lower grade model than what I paid for. I immediately called them only to find that my call was to New Mexico at their call center. I told them I received the wrong unit and I want the model I requested. They put me on hold for 30 minutes and said the washer would be delivered 11/29/16. The washer never came and I'd left work early waiting for Lowe's. No call. I called them on 11/30/16. They said I was now scheduled for 11 days later. I was very upset and explained that I wash 14 loads of laundry a week and this was unacceptable. they told me the washer would come on 12/01/16 at 5pm. I left work AGAIN only for them to once again not deliver your product that I paid for. I called them at 8pm and they said deliveries were done for the day and I will not get it. I told them I had to have this washer that I paid for. after 40 minutes on hold, they told me I was top priority for 12/02/16 delivery. I decided to call them in the morning to verify. Of course I get the New Mexico office and they told me the delivery time is set for 5pm. I told the girl I did not believe her and told her to call the Wilkes Barre PA location to verify this. She did and after 20 minutes on hold told me I was NOT getting the delivery. MAYBE I'd get it on Saturday. I told them to cancel the order I'd buy a different washer somewhere else. You almost lost a sale because of this. But 1 hour later Lowe's Wilkes Barre called me back and said they were bringing it at 2pm. Now several times I told them about the washer that they dropped off and how they needed to take it back when they dropped mine off. So when the driver showed up, I was not home yet so my neighbor told them to take the Maytag washer that I had not ordered when they were leaving. They didn't want to but they did. So apparently I could have had a free washer along with the new one I bought. I'm assuming you not authorizing washers to be given away for free. Luckily I'm honest... i'm sure others are not. You may want to re-think your relationship with Lowe's. You nearly lost a sale and would have a washer donated to me for free. Thank you [protected]@earthlink.net

Maytag washer model # mvwc415ew0 ser# c50630220. I write this review with anger and disappointment about the product and the worse customer service.
In July 2016, my wife bought this washer from Sears, the sales person told my wife that this was the BEST product or the price. My wife & I are NOT experts for she bought it. When we got home I connected the 2 hoses and plugged it in very simple process. We did a trial run before adding clothing. The machine was wobbling horribly! Their repairman said that it was not our fault and that the machine was bad. We contacted sears office who said “don’t worry they will just exchange it”. I told them, a machine that breaks on the first day is BAD KARMA, we want our money back they talked us unto an exchange instead.
Less than 3 months later the agitator literally BROKE OFF! We called sears and now they said its past the 30 day sears warrantee and I would have to work with MAYTAG! This was in the beginning of October.
Now its November 30, 2016 and Lailani # 13080 Supervisor tells me that because I CHOOSE to live where there is NO certified repairman I now have to find my own and they would ONLY COVER $150 in labor because I CHOOSE TO LIVE WHERE THERE IS NO CERTIFIED REPAIR MAN.
After a long conversation and nowhere else to go or do I very reluctantly agreed and asked for an email in writing as I felt ripped off already. She said she would not do that and I would just have to put in for the reimbursement and TRUST them. They just ripped me off and are asking me to trust them? And I would have to find my own repairman? WHAT? I hope someone from MAYTAG reads this and listens to the recorded conversation because it was BAD SERVICE all the way around.
DON’T BUY A MAYTAG! YOU WILL BE ALL ALONE IF IT GOES WRONG.

I purchased my Maytag Washer on 5/26/16 from Menards in Lima Ohio. I purchased this washer for my garage to wash my husband's farm clothes and towels in our garage. I didnt want to wash the work clothes with our family's clothes with our inside washer. When I called Maytag repair due to our washer not completing cycles, your customer service rep said there would be no warranty honored because we use it commercially. I argued that is was personal use but he refused to issue the warranty claim. His name was Jason. I requested to have a supervisor contact me, but I doubt this will happen. This washer only worked correctly 6 months. We maybe do 5 loads a week in it. I cannot believe this is how you stand behind your products. I hope you will do the right thing and service this machine under warranty.

I have a Maytag dishwasher model number dwu7502aam serial number 10856267QD. I have been happy with its performance until now, the outer door is getting rust spots coming thur the door. I would assume that something like this was designed to resist water wear and rusting. Is there any thing you can suggest or do? I called my appliance repair and they said the door was warped and my plan would not cover it. How can something designed to use so much water rust out? Please advise.

Purchased a Maytag Centennial top load washer that will not fill with enough water to wash clothes. The washer was purchased from Lowes on August 17, 2016 and we tried to return but Lowes refused because we were passed the required 30 day return period. We contacted the Maytag company and they sent out sevice people who reported that there was nothing we could do other than wash small loads. The company also reported that if we tried any of the solutions on the web we would violate our Warranty. Since we find ourselves in this spot ( we should have read all the bad reviews here before the purchase ) we have decided to place the machine in a very visable spot across from a new 100 store shopping center on a truck with a 4x8 sign warning the public not to purchase this product.

I have a washing machine out of warranty, but within a year of it's purchase, there was a small spot on the lip of the lid that started to rust...I emailed Maytag about a year and a half ago, when this all started, and was told it was my water. It is NOT my water, as the only spot on the machine that rusts is a 4 inch spot on the lid lip. The rest of the machine is in excellent shape. It is gotten so much worse, that when I try to do a load of laundry, I need to clean the rust off each and every time, because it get's everywhere (all over under the lid, inside the machine) and it's just getting progressively harder to clean. I don't think this is fair and I really want to tell everyone about this issue to warn them of this problem! I got no help from Maytag when I emailed a year and a half ago, but i'm so frustrated right now, like I said, I want to file this complaint. My serial # is C13272016.
