Washer stopped working 2/10/23, purchased at lowes August 17, 2022. Replaced the first Maytag commercial washer that was only about 3 1/2 going on four years old that could not be repaired because it cost more to repair it than the actual washer price. Now I’m on my second washer still a Maytag different type. This one stopped mid cycle said power failure unplugged it thinking maybe it would reboot did not. Call for service they gave me the place in Buffalo that services may tag. Did not want to be bothered with them because the first time with the prior washer they said it was the control board. Got a second opinion and it was everything but the control board. So that washer was beyond repair and Maytag could’ve cared less that I was out $1000. 00. So that washer went to the curb so that was $1000 essentially that was thrown in the garbage paid almost 900. 00 for this one just turning six months old. Can’t wait for Maytag to get service people out to me I am a nurse I need my washer because I wash clothing every day due to Covid. Very disappointed that I can’t get service from who I want to and also very disappointed Maytag basically is saying again so sad too bad. So with that being said I have a repairman coming on Monday, February 13 and if it can be repaired I will pay for it. If not I want my washer replaced. It’s been a lot of money for Maytag product that is advertised as one of the best products going. But I feel like when I talk to people at Maytag they’re reading off a script they don’t really care but I need some resolution to this. If I have to pay for it to be repaired I would also like my money back. There has to be some happy medium because I find it very difficult to believe that I’ve had to commercial washers in five years and both were bad.

My washer just stopped working. From everything I am reading, it is the motherboard, and is a common problem with this Maytag model. I have been in contact with the company, and they can only offer me an extended warranty that I PAY FOR, or said they could offer a discount on a new washer. I shouldn't be out any money for this. Many other owners have experienced this same issue. It is obviously a defect in the machine. Maytag used to be a good company, which is why I purchased this washer (and dryer).

Maytag washer model number mvw7232hw stopped midcycle with water in the basin and lid locked. Power outlet works fine but washer will not turn on. This washer was purchased at Home Depot on 8/13/2020 and registered with Maytag for warranty. I called a local repair technician, and they stated the problem was the control panel. They also stated that the part would take more than a week to come in and that it would cost $588.00! More than half the cost of the original washer! Conveniently, this washer died shortly after the 2-year ownership timeframe.

Maytag, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! DO BETTER! Why would your product break down after only 2 years and WHY are consumers required to purchase an extended warranty for a product that should work for more than 2 years? Your "10-year warranty" is basically useless, as I did not find control panel listed as a covered item. This is also unacceptable! I will let everyone know about my experience with these products, especially since these are my first Maytag products. Just last week, I had my Maytag dryer repaired for ($245.00) due to squealing noises. It continued to dry but the squealing noises were unbearable. What is going on with the Maytag product quality? Both washer and dryer breaking down after only 2 years! You are selling JUNK to consumers, and it is NOT acceptable!

I have a Maytag washer Mod. # MVWB835DW4, I bought this brand new in August 2019. Like many others, I started having problems sometime around August 2021 with the left side on the bottom of the lid where the gray plastic meets with the metal hinge started to crack. It continued to break for the next 12 months. It is made of cheap plastic. Currently, the lid is in bad shape and is difficult to close.

I was quoted $400+ to repair. There have been numerous complaints on various websites, it appears a lot of complaints have been issued for this same problem. The lid is breaking off at the lower left bottom side. It’s unacceptable that Maytag is not considering a recall on this extensive issue they are having with this manufacturer's lid failure.

Please advise how are you going to resolve this issue.

This machine has NEVER worked. I have to life the lid & close it multiple times for the machine to fill with the minimal amount of water on EVERY setting. I see I'm not the only one with the EXACT same problems. I also see this has been going on for YEARS with the same model. My parents and I have always used Maytag, never again unless this model is replaced with a different one. I will tell everyone about this machine and make YouTube videos if this machine is not replaced. This machine was over $700, the least I expect is for it to work.

Installed Jan 2019, used only between the months of Jan to April 2019 and again Nov 2019 to March 2020, Nov 2020 to April 2021. Nov 2021 to April 2022. Was working fine.

Started using it again Nov 2022 and it bounces all over, seems level enough, spin cycle starts and it bangs against the sides like crazy I have to turn off the machine take out half the clothes, (large loads are the worst) rearrange and put clothes in again and watch to make sure it doesn't bounce around again till the clothes are spun.

The machine isn't very old or even used much. What can be wrong? Is it able to be fixed?
Has this model been recalled for defects? If so, how can it be fixed under warranty?

Unit purchased 6/19 for second home in Florida. Due to Covid shelter in place restrictions stayed at full time residence in Michigan. Florida unoccupied for a total of 2 years 7 months. Dec.2022 returned to Florida. Unit banging and shaking. Was billed $364.08 for replacement of suspension rods. Wrote to CEO of Maytag. Explained that only two adults live in the home asking for compensation. Received a canned form letter stating how much they care about their customers, but my unit was out of warranty. I kept the parts. Had a knowledgeable person inspect them and was told it was nothing I did. Rods not designed strong enough to withstand the spin cycle of washer.

Quit working and Serviced 1st in 2020. Serviceman replaced pump. $300+ service fee! Where is warranty?
Quit working again. Serviced 2nd by a different serviceman in Nov, 2022 and told it was leaking oil and belt was chewed up and now needs a new motor! (Really trust the 2nd new and unknown to us, serviceman as he was in depth with explaining service process.) Told it could be above $700! Again, where is warranty?

DONE~NOT doing this anymore! Obviously, washer is a “lemon”/defect or Maytag has a mechanic/electrical design flaw regarding this model of washing machine.

We purchased a Maytag Refrigerator in 2017, model MSC21C6MFZ00, since day one we've had multiple problems. A manufacturer's defect exists that causes the wiring harness to become torn and frayed presenting a safety hazard along with chronic malfunctions of the unit. Numerous attempts to have this resolved with Maytag have been unsuccessful. Their claim is that the warranty is expired. My position is that the defect was present from day one and has nothing to do with time or normal use. A Maytag technician has already verified that the company is aware of this. We are facing having to dispose of a 5 year old refrigerator.

Technician said a wiring harness in control panel burned out - he showed me a large black burned out area. This was causing the dishwasher not to start. He said it would be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher than repair. I expect more from Maytag. I just live with my husband and we run the dishwasher every other day so it does not get over use. I expect more from Michigan made Maytag.

Complaining about a too deep washer tub on top load Maytag washer. Have to use a"grabber" to reach clothes. Impeller mangles, twists and damages clothes. Despite carefully arranging clothes frequently goes off balance resulting in noisy banging and strong vibrations. Washer tub is full of clothes and water and will not operate. Removal of soggy heavy clothes and doing a 1 hour "cleaning" before the washer will operate again. This Maytag washer was bought as a matching washer and dryer set. The dryer is front load but the washer is top load.

I have had it 3 years and be nothing but trouble after first six months. Stays out of balance and spins half the time. Every time you turn around having replace springs. It's just junk. I never buy anything Maytag again. Update as of 1/16/2023 after new springs same thing. Plastic ring on top of the drum had filled with water. Took a 1/4 in. drill bit pull six holes in bottom spaced that seems to fixed the problem. That was keeping it out of balance.

We bought this washer [protected], and was delivered 9-2-2022 from Lowes. We have had the service man out several times about the vibration and noise, but too, the problem has not been solved. We are seniors and have had my washers and this is the worst one after using many washers over the years.
I can not believe this is normal and not up to Maytags standards. Please help us resolve this situation, so we can live out the rest of our lives in peace with this problem.

we stared having issues with this unit after few months of use the unit has start to smell extremely bad we did tried all option as far as using many different type of cleaning product but no help as this unit has the filter and the pump on top and in the back so there is no way of having it clean by yourself so you need 2 tech to come and service it because we had the stack up. but many repair services provided by maytag will not send 2 person and may tag was no help at all after more than dozen calls and being on line for hours to talk to costumer service over a month.

Purchased 8/22 from Menards Kokomo IN within a month was making horrible sound while washing, face panel not working properly. Contacted Maytag sent repairman order part took 4 weeks still didn't work new repairman ordered more parts 6 weeks ago, nothing to date! Will not return calls, complained to maytag they will not answer phone or return email. Spent over $100 so far at laundromat. I'm 65 and husband disabled, we cannot go on like this!

Washer will not fill with water on either the wash or rinse cycle, even on a small load.
Agitation is sporadic, and minimal at that.
Clothes are not getting clean.
With minimal water in the tub, clothes are getting a "rough wash."
There are several similar statements listed already. Maytag's responses indicate that their issues are resolved. But, they are not. They only reply, but nothing is done about the situation.
Request for someone to reply to are unmet online.

Purchase in April 2019. Maytag replaced the control panel in both the washer and dryer in February 2020. Now it has gone out again. They won't do anything because we hadn't purchased the extended warranty.

Should last longer than 1 year originally. Then only 3 years after being replaced.

We have a repairman coming tomorrow, but have to pay $119.00 just to get him there. Then will have to pay for parts and labor to get it repaired.

Have looked online and see this happens alot, because the steam goes up and corrodes the connections in the control panel. Think Maytag should have a fix for this or pay for the repairs.

Machine is 3 years old. I noticed grease under the machine and called a repairman. Transmission is shot. All the seals have blown and water is leaking into the transmission.

It would cost over $500 to repair. Apparently this model is notorious for this. Warranty won't cover parts or repair. I was advised not to use it as ot could stop working at any time.

I purchased this Maytag washing machine less than 6 months ago and the lid has cracked at the hinge. (Model # MVWB765FW3 Serial C91372171) I see the replacement for the lid is over $250, that is the cheapest I have found it. I feel that the lid should not have cracked with it only being used less than 6 months. How is Maytag going to stand behind their warranty on this?

I contacted Maytag 4 days after purchase of a new gas dryer. Maytag after 11 days finally got back to me to say they do not have the part needed, never will, and to pound sand. I contacted them again, highlighting the warranty agreement and even if they didn't consider this to be a serious defect, it was still a manufacturer defect reported within the first 30 days and per the agreement needed to be corrected. Pointed out that even if they didn't have the part several third party companies had the part for around 5-10 dollars. Refusing to correct it was intentionally denying me my rights under my warranty agreement.

Really scummy to act like a $5.30 part that broke after two loads is an unreasonable request to have replaced immediately.
