As a frequent traveler, I recently had a disappointing experience with MakeMyTrip.com. The booking process was cumbersome, and the customer service was unresponsive. MakeMyTrip Use less make my trip

I was booked family package for 6 persons from Mumbai to srilanka from mmt as diwali premium packages.
At the time of booking, they informed it is a group packege and 15-20 people will be there in your package. But actually it is 39 people and big bus is for trip. It is takes one hrs too get to gether and waste of time. Not usefull at all. They are cheating to the people. More over, their India staff is not supportive and they don't know any thing about package. T

MakeMyTrip My tour to Kashmir

I travelled to Kashmir along with my wife and daughter with make my trip from [protected] to 6-6-2015. We all had a memorable trip. Every body from make my trip made it happen. They gave excellent arrangements where ever we went. The accommodation provided was excellent especially in Srinagar at Paradise Gateway. Our guide Yunus and our coach driver Parvez were very cooperative and very helpful throughout the tour. My special thanks to them. I want to thank Mohan the chef of Paradise Gateway Hotel in Srinagar for his hospitality and very tasty food. I found Kashmiries very friendly with us. I once again thank make my trip for making our tour memorable.

MakeMyTrip Make my trip .com cheater’s

I would like to let you know that was it was absolutely disgusting experience to deal with a MakeMyTrip just to help with the cancellation of the  ticket, which was made by mistake because the Wi-Fi was not working properly that day

I called makemytrip company and told them that please cancel this ticket which was made by mistake and they said we are looking into it.

; They put me on a hold for so long and still nobody was able to answer any questions.

And the most disgusting part was when you guys block my number from calling your customer service

Your customer service answering machine was telling me facility to this number has been temporarily discontinued

How can you block my number without me being able to talk to your customer service? How can I resolve my issues?

And on the top of that at every step, they kept canceling my ticket which was already pre booked 

All the plane connections very very very time sensitive but because of your company’s handling of the situation. We had to go through extreme stress and anxiety because they kept canceling my ticket at the last minute.

Can you kindly tell me can one person, who can  travel to the same destination on the same day on two different airplanes?

Recommendation: Don’t use make my trip

MakeMyTrip Avoid MakeMyTrip (mmt): A Review of Terrible Customer Service and Shady Business Practices

Reasons Why You Should Avoid MakeMyTrip (mmt)

I am absolutely convinced that MakeMyTrip (mmt) is not a company you want to do business with. Here are some reasons why:

Firstly, mmt screens incoming calls. If you select "new booking" from their phone menu, they will take your call. However, if you select "existing booking," they will either not pick up the call at all or place you on hold and then disconnect you after sixteen minutes. If you select "dial an extension," the employee is free to decide whether or not they want to take your call. Only if you complain on their Facebook site will their "Department of Customer Delight" step in and respond to your phone calls.

Secondly, mmt will try and shake you down for any extra change they can extort. The terms printed on my ticket said a $350 charge will apply for any reschedule plus any fare difference. However, when I requested a reschedule, they wrote back to say that I would be liable for $610 plus a $50 mmt service fee and fare difference. When I pointed out the terms in my ticket, they wrote back again, same day, to say that they would charge me $350 plus 5% service tax on (airline penalty plus fare difference). On April 4, they asked instead for $350 plus a $50 service fee and fare difference. Finally, they offered to sell me a reservation for $350 plus a fare difference of $490, which sums to $840. They suggested that I could get a new one-way ticket for $670 on the mmt website. Shouldn't they have tried to get me a good fare on their own?

Thirdly, some employees are careless, and some lie. An employee sent me "phone numbers" by way of email that did not make any sense, and their availability is not 24/7. An employee wrote in an email and later told me on the phone that she had called me on April 2, but my phone showed no missed calls that afternoon or evening.

Fourthly, their phone manners are not great. The greeting is delivered by a lady who sounds like she's about to pat your [censored] and chide you playfully for pinching her again. She's extra-jocular and sports a Hoxbridge accent from Gurgaon. The hold announcement repeats every five seconds, which can drive anyone crazy.

Fifthly, their shuttle strategy is a mess. If you get in through the "new booking" route, the India office will tell you that since you made your booking in the US, their "US Department" will call you, but they most certainly will not. If you get in again through the "new booking" route, the India office will tell you to call their US office at a 1-800 number, which you cannot call from an Indian phone. Then they will suggest you live-chat online with the US office. The live chat agent will disconnect you most abruptly at the drop of a hat, and there is no chat transcript. Before the agent disconnects, they will ask you to call the India office. After two chat sessions, there will be no more chats. Your chat budget is done. You will get an unresponsive yellow screen that asks you to call the India office and gives you a 1-800 US number for good measure.

In conclusion, I have wasted at least 40 hours waiting on hold, calling, getting cut off, and writing email messages to mmt. I was nearly a no-show on my original return date because mmt would not pick up my calls for five days, nor call back, or in any way process my change of reservation. I had to call the airline directly, in panic at the last minute, to cancel my return reservation. Save yourself the trouble and shoot yourself in the foot before you think of doing business with this terrible company.

MakeMyTrip MakeMyTrip: A Nightmare That Ruined Our Christmas Holidays

Our Christmas holidays in 2015 were highly anticipated. My wife, our two-year-old daughter, and I were all excited for our trip to Bangalore, Mysore, and Ooty, which we had booked through MakeMyTrip. We had made our reservations well in advance, including transfers by taxi.

Like any other tourist, we expected to have a fun and enjoyable time. Our flight was scheduled to take off on December 25th, 2015, from Delhi. We spent our first day in Bangalore and our second day in Mysore, visiting tourist attractions.

On the third day, December 27th, 2015, our excitement was at an all-time high as we were headed to our most anticipated destination, Ooty, from Mysore. However, we never imagined that this trip would change our lives forever. I still remember the time; it was 12:30 pm. Our driver, who was appointed by MakeMyTrip, was driving too fast, and despite our warnings, he continued to do so. In his overconfidence while overtaking, he didn't notice a bus coming from the opposite direction. Unfortunately, our taxi was hit by that bus. I was badly injured in that fatal accident and lost consciousness instantly. For five days, I was lying in the ICU, fighting for my life. When I regained consciousness, I learned that my face was completely shattered, with multiple facial fractures, and my left hip was completely damaged. I first inquired about my wife and daughter. Were they safe? Were they okay? I couldn't speak, I couldn't see, and I was in pain, screaming through my gestures, asking to see them. Luckily, my wife and daughter were safe.

My wife later told me the whole story of what happened in the last four days. Immediately after the accident, seeing me lying unconscious, my wife started screaming for help. The taxi driver was safe, but instead of helping my wife, he escaped from the scene. Since we had no one locally whom my wife could call for help, she called my parents in Punjab immediately and crying explained about the incident. She was just surrounded by strangers, screaming and feeling helpless. Thanks to that stranger who had called the ambulance immediately, I was rushed to the nearby hospital.

As our family members came to know, immediate arrangements were made for them to travel to Mysore. It took them one day to reach Mysore in the hospital where I was lying unconscious since there was no direct commuting. Everyone was praying for my survival. There were two surgeries required, one for my face and the other for my hip. There was a huge blood loss from my body, and everyone was tense. On the 28th, I had my face surgery, which lasted for six hours. On the 30th, I underwent surgery on my hip. Till now, I have been on a ventilator, fighting for my life in the ICU. It was on the 31st that I gained some consciousness, and everyone was relieved that I was alive. It was my daughter's second birthday, but she was in so much trauma that she started crying and just kept praying to God for the wellbeing of her father. As days went on, my condition improved bit by bit. After 20 days, I was back in my hometown in Punjab, where my family eagerly awaited my return.

For the first few days, my wife used to get calls from the head office of MakeMyTrip, asking if any help was required. But when she asked for help, such as arranging air tickets back home, MakeMyTrip officials stopped talking. It seemed like the calls were just made for the sake of it. Soon, we understood that MakeMyTrip would not bother, as they had taken all the money well in advance. We were right. MakeMyTrip never bothered to call us and apologize for the accident. The life of a common man is so cheap for them, I think.

Because of a small mistake by the taxi driver, my family's life was ruined physically, mentally, and financially. It has been three months now, and I am still on the bed, as there are still defects that are left for healing. Every new day is a new challenge for me to cope with my body. I am still struggling to live my second life.

I am sharing this story to create awareness among society. We pay everything upfront to these travel agents, but if anything goes wrong, these people don't turn up for any help. Shouldn't they come forward and help customers like us? Have these travel agents become so inhuman? These are some of the questions that still remain unanswered. So, beware when you book your next vacation.

MakeMyTrip Terrible Experience with MakeMyTrip: False Promises and Poor Service

I had a terrible experience with MakeMyTrip. I booked a package for a 5-day, 6-night trip that started in Delhi. The hotel they booked for us in Delhi was good, but things quickly went downhill from there.

On the second day, we roamed around Delhi in a car that was booked by MakeMyTrip. The next day, we went to Agra and then to Chandigarh, where we stayed at the Metro 35 hotel. The hotel was okay, but nothing special.

The following day, we went to Manali, where we stayed at the Dream Land River hotel. The rooms were a bit stinky, but otherwise okay. The next day, we went to Rotang pass, which was the only thing we did in Manali. We had to struggle to get tickets for Rotang pass, and MakeMyTrip was of no help whatsoever. They promised that Rotang pass was covered in the package, but when we got there, the driver said we had to make our own arrangements. When I called MakeMyTrip's customer care, I got a terrible response. They kept shifting my calls between departments, and no one seemed to care about my problem.

I paid a lot of money for this package, and I expected MakeMyTrip to take care of everything. But they didn't. They collected money from me by making promises they couldn't keep. When I asked for a refund, they said they would never come back to me.

The whole trip cost me nearly 75,000 rupees, and I regret choosing MakeMyTrip. If I had arranged everything myself, I could have done it for just 50,000 rupees. I paid 20,000 rupees more to MakeMyTrip, hoping they would do everything properly and I could enjoy my trip. But I was wrong.

Apart from the Rotang pass debacle, we also had problems at the hotel in Chandigarh. They wouldn't let us check out without paying, even though we had already paid MakeMyTrip. It took a lot of time and effort to sort out the issue.

The driver we had was also terrible. He was lazy and didn't want to take us to any of the places in the package. He kept saying there was nothing to see. He even asked us for money for no reason.

I met two other couples from Bangalore who had the same problems with MakeMyTrip. I suggest you think twice before booking with them. They promise a lot, but they don't deliver.

MakeMyTrip Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MakeMyTrip.com for Flight Cancellation Due to COVID-19

I recently had a frustrating experience with MakeMyTrip.com. I had booked a flight with United Airlines to travel to India, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the US government has issued a travel advisory stating that US citizens should not travel to India until further notice. This news was published on the US Embassy's website, and I was disappointed to find out that my trip would have to be cancelled.

I reached out to MakeMyTrip.com to request a refund for my flight, but I found that their customer service was slow and unresponsive. It took several days for them to get back to me, and even then, they were not able to provide me with a clear answer about whether or not I would be able to get a refund. I was frustrated with the lack of communication and the slow response time, especially given the urgency of the situation.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with MakeMyTrip.com. While I understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has created a difficult situation for everyone, I feel that their customer service could have been more responsive and helpful. I hope that they will take steps to improve their communication and support for customers in the future.

MakeMyTrip MakeMyTrip's Visa Services: A Nightmare for Tourists

Me and my boyfriend had planned a trip to Singapore for his birthday and we were very excited about it. We had saved up for months and were eagerly looking forward to this trip. However, we made a mistake by choosing MakeMyTrip for our ticketing and visa needs. This mistake was going to make us regret ever considering going on this trip.

Let me tell you about my recent experience with MakeMyTrip. Firstly, they claim to provide visa services but do not have an area on their website where you can avail or track the said service. It's only available on their app for some reason. They also do not have a toll-free number or email ID for visa services. Moreover, there is no specific information available before you avail the service. It's a pay first and worry about it after policy!

I applied for a tourist visa for Singapore and uploaded scanned copies of several documents. Then, "someone" was supposed to get in touch with us to take this process further. However, I missed the call and received an email from them asking for a list of documents. In the email, a phone number was finally revealed to us which was a toll-free number. However, the average wait time was 20 minutes per try and someone would pick up after your 4th or 5th try, if you are lucky.

After multiple conversations, a final list of documents was agreed upon which we couriered to them promptly. We were asked to file for Visa separately as we are not related, which is understandable. We provided them with a set of documents each, in a futile attempt to make things easier. But then, after receiving our original set of documents, they asked for a series of additional documents which were never mentioned before.

According to their visa team, as I am a "single lady" travelling to Singapore as a tourist with my boyfriend, I need to give them the following documents from my Father: a no objection certificate, employment proof, financial documents, and a government ID proof. I have a few questions for their team: why are these documents needed? I am a 28-year-old adult. Why was this not mentioned before? Why is there no mention of this in the Singapore embassy website or anywhere else on the internet?

Their attitude in this process was so callous that I had no faith left in them. I could not believe that even after providing said documents, I would be able to travel to Singapore. Honestly, at this point of time, it seemed like it was easier to just bring my father along on my trip.

We had to email them multiple times and wait for the call to connect for hours for every single thing. Even for a basic thing like acknowledging the receipt of our courier (which had our original passports), they took 2 business days after bluedart confirmed that it had been delivered.

The worst part was dealing with an agent named Kamini Bhasin who left no stone unturned in harassing us throughout this process. We were continuously "judged" by her and asked questions like: why am I unmarried and not living with my father? How come we both have the same residential address? Why are we traveling together? Are we related by blood? And so on.

How is it any of your business? In which century do you live? Is this your hobby? Does your job description involve helping your customers or harassing them? You did an excellent job of trying to strip my identity. According to this lady, "I" do not matter. My documents do not suffice. I either need my father or to be married so that my "husband" can take my "responsibility".

Even when we tried to cancel this service and decided not to go ahead with MakeMyTrip, we had to follow up with multiple calls and emails. Finally, we got in touch with a different agent who promptly did this for us and returned our original documents.

Dear MakeMyTrip, me and my family have been loyal customers of yours since 2009, and I can assure you that this was the last time any of us would ever use any service provided by you. You made me go through all of this, face severe harassment and anxiety for weeks, and made me feel helpless at the same time since my original documents were stuck with you, and as mentioned before, there was no proper phone number or email ID to even get in touch with you.

Take action on this now, otherwise, I can assure you that you will be losing many more customers very soon.

MakeMyTrip My Worst Experience with Makemytrip: Fraudulent, Poor Customer Support, and Misleading Information

My experience with Makemytrip was the worst ever. From the very beginning, I had a bad experience with the executive. I had booked a trip for my parents and I wanted to visit more places in every location. I had requested to visit Delhi, Agra, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. However, the CS executive sent me a list of very minimal places for each location, which was not what I had requested. When I asked for more places, it was difficult to make her understand my requirements. Finally, I had to come up with a full plan for 8 days and give it to her. The amount she quoted was a bit high, but I did not worry about it much as I wanted my parents to have a good trip. I believed that Makemytrip would do a better job.

However, when it came to the payment stage, she told me that the driver would only drive from 9 am to 6 pm and not for the rest of the time, even if we had to travel from one city to another. When I asked for clarification, she told me that their policy did not support this and she could not give me a written confirmation. I believed her to some extent and paid the initial amount. While doing the payment, I asked her to provide a cab driver who knew English/Tamil as my parents did not know Hindi. She told me that they would try, but could not assure me. Based on this confirmation, I made the payment.

On the day of the trip, I called the driver in the contact number shared before my parents landed. However, the driver did not know anything in English except for two phrases. My parents were really tensed to hear this. On the first day of the trip, the driver said that all the places were closed, which was not true. I had to speak to the travels and the Makemytrip executive to understand the situation. I got help from some of my Hindi-speaking friends to talk to the driver and finally made him understand that the places were open. Thank God, day 2 was booked with Delhi tourism and it was very fair. However, on day 3, the nuisance started again. We had to visit Triveni Ghat in the evening for Ganga Arthi. The driver parked the car in the Rishikesh hotel and made my parents believe that they had to walk a little bit to reach the Ghat. However, it was more than 1 km from the hotel to Ram Jhulla, more than 0.5 km to cross Ram Jhulla, and then they had to get a share auto to reach the Triveni Ghat. They had to do the same process to reach the hotel again after Ganga Arthi. The driver just took rest in the hotel and made the vendor believe that he took us for sightseeing Triveni Ghat.

On day 4, the driver told us that two places were closed, which were actually open. I had to talk to the reception guy, get information, and then tell him that it was open. He then showed some random places and told us that these were the sightseeing places. For example, he showed a small mountain with some water and told us that this was NeerGarh waterfall. When my dad asked the localite and then told him that we had to go 1 km more, he fought with that guy. He also did not say where he was going to my parents before going. Only when he reached, they would know. He spoke over the phone all the time, used pawn, etc. He was a troublesome guy.

I finally reached out to the vendor to change the guy, but they were not ready to accept all this. After so many discussions, they were ready to change the guy on day 7, while the complaint was raised on day 4. With no other way, I reached out to Makemytrip, but they were not ready to take up the complaint. They asked me to talk to the vendor. The driver changed only on day 7, as the vendor told. The new driver was a bit okay with English, and the trip was better after that.

Some callouts to people looking for Makemytrip:
1. Don't believe in Makemytrip. They are fraud people. They just vend out stuff to other companies, and we believe in their name while booking.
2. I asked for an English-speaking driver, and even if they knew it was not possible/less possible, they did not inform me about that earlier. They just got the money and made me struggle. F
3. All the hotels that they committed to were supposed to be 3+, but the hotels in Rishikesh and Haridwar were just like a dungeon.
4. Very poor customer support in case of an issue. They took 2 days to resolve an issue when 25% of my trip had completed.

Don't go to Makemytrip, please guys. I got cheated. I spent lots of money, and the result was just frustration. Even the customer service of the vendor was poor. They did not pick up my call looking at my number. Makemytrip does not care for you. They care just for your money. I will never plan for any more trips with them.

MakeMyTrip MakeMyTrip's Mismanagement Caused Me to Miss My Flight and Ruined My Travel Plans - A Disappointing Experience (120 characters)

This review is about my experience with MakeMyTrip, specifically regarding my booking ID - UN***112. Unfortunately, due to their mismanagement, I was unable to board my flight with AIR CANADA (AC-71) from DEL to TORONTO on Fri, 25 Dec at 15:00. This caused me to miss my connecting flight to Austin as well.

When I approached the AIR Canada counter, they informed me that they could not issue my tickets due to my sticker US visa (H1-B) and the lack of a transit visa. I was not informed about this requirement by MakeMyTrip, despite providing them with my USA passport and visa details. This lack of information put my commitment and future schedule in jeopardy, leaving me completely shocked and helpless.

I was originally booked on an Airline PNR (3IN8HG) operated by LUFTHANSA. However, since their flights and staff were off on Christmas Eve, I was unable to seek any help from them. I had a US number with me, but it was not working on roaming. I rushed to local Airtel booths for calling and follow-ups, but due to paucity of time, I had to take help from my wife to change the ticket date for hassle-free travel. She approached MakeMyTrip US - International Customer Care Dept. for help to shuffle the travel date/arrange the next immediate flight with a different airline.

On the first call to customer care, my wife explained the urgency and briefed them about the lack of information provided by MakeMyTrip. However, they harshly refused to give us any help. On the second call, after repeating the history/urgency, we were given a piece of advice to get in touch with Lufthansa, which was not even an operating airline but just a partner airline. MakeMyTrip representative made us believe that they were the only ones who could help us at that point in time, challenging our last hope. Feeling empathic for the situation, my wife approached Lufthansa Customer Care, who proved to be professionals, understanding, and supportive. However, they realized that an agent was in between MakeMyTrip and them, and they were helpless.

I approached information staff/counter airline staff, and all of them said that it was because of MakeMyTrip that I was in such a troubled position. I was left alone in a mess, running pillar to pillar to arrange an alternate ticket as I had legal commitments. During that time, both my wife and I were busy struggling for alternate options on an individual level, and I eventually booked one directly and updated my wife to request a refund to ease the loss.

On the third call, my wife requested them that I was not in touch due to the lack of a local number. Despite repetitive statements by my wife that I lacked a local number and even she did not know what I was up to, a long approx. One-hour discussion led to nothing but policy repetition, case mug ups, and on the "40th minute, the representative lightly said he would give an alternate ticket." Now, how should I take this on a refund call? When I already booked an alternate ticket after getting NO Response from anyone in due course of time.

Why was this not offered on the first call when I was in pain and felt harassed and denied entry on the plane in front of a big queue, as if I was a terrorist? Nobody extended their phones to me when I pleaded. A customer-friendly agent would have played a dynamic and everlasting role by pulling me out of this situation. MakeMyTrip failed tremendously because they proved that Indian companies are money-minded and forget their customers who actually made them something they are proud of today. My family has been your customer since you came into existence, and we have always recommended you over other agents. Look at what you have gifted us for our years of loyalty. Today, I wish I had opted for Expedia/Priceline or a direct airline. At least foreign companies respect their customers, and it's globally famous how important the customer is in the USA. Just opening an office on foreign land or a .com version does not take you to their level. By this approach, the practice of asking a travel agent to book an airline ticket is flying out of the Indian window.

When MakeMyTrip asked me about my passport information before generating confirmed tickets as my journey involved US travel, why didn't they tell me that the Canada journey definitely required a transit visa? I was not told any of the details. Only credentials associated with the US visa were asked on mail from MakeMyTrip. Why was I not given another alternative route when I called MakeMyTrip 4-5 hours before boarding the flight? When Lufthansa has the capacity to give alternate options, why not MakeMyTrip? Why, on the last call, was I given the option of alternate arrangements when it was too late, and I already booked my ticket to NY due to my official commitments? Why was this last-minute option not given to me on my first call to MakeMyTrip?

I have already gone through such mental harassment and experienced an insulting situation for denied boarding. Was I a fool if I had been notified earlier to get myself into a mess? I have not received any informational email alerts from MakeMyTrip for my upcoming flights. You need to improve your user experience, which resulted in my loss. My refund is still pending with MakeMyTrip. Thanks.

MakeMyTrip Terrible Experience with MakeMyTrip: Unprofessionalism, Poor Customer Service, and Misleading Information

I had a terrible experience with MakeMyTrip. I booked a trip to Goa for 5 days around New Year's Eve, and it was a disaster from the start. I booked the trip with Samim Khan from Delhi, and the total cost was 68,000 Rs. This included a flight from Delhi to Goa, 4 nights at Hotel Colva Kinara, and a flight from Goa to Mumbai (Booking ID: IN1412B6S167325). I specifically requested Hotel Colva Kinara because I didn't want to attend a mandatory New Year's Eve party, which other hotels were charging extra for.

However, my experience with MakeMyTrip was terrible. I was only able to pay 20,000 Rs. at a time with my debit card, and I was going to pay for the trip over several days. Samim Khan insisted that I pay the full amount as soon as possible. When I asked if I could pay the remainder (48,000 Rs.) in cash, he agreed and directed me to go to the Mumbai (Andheri) office on Sunday before 6pm. However, when I got there, the security guard informed me that the office closes at 5pm on Sundays. I immediately called Samim Khan, but he claimed he was unaware of the office hours. I was frustrated that he had made me and my 80-year-old grandfather run to the other side of town for nothing.

The next day, I went to the Mumbai office right when it opened at 10AM. However, the staff there told me they could only accept 25,000 Rs. cash at a time. I called Samim Khan again, but he denied any knowledge of this rule. I ended up paying at the Andheri office and then crossing the city to the Mahim office to pay the remainder of the trip.

At the Mahim office, Samim Khan told me that he hadn't booked the package when I had paid over 50% of the cost, and now the direct flight from Delhi to Goa was 6000 Rs more. I requested another alternative flight that would leave the package cost at 68,000 Rs. He gave us a connecting flight with two separate airlines that stopped in Mumbai for 3 hours. We were reluctant to take this offer as it would waste a full day travelling, but we were forced to agree.

On December 26, 2014, we got on the IndiGo flight at 6:30AM in Delhi. The pilot and airport were constantly giving us notifications that the poor visibility conditions (57m) were below their required standard (125m). As a result, all the passengers on this flight were seated on the aircraft for OVER 4 HOURS. When the flight finally left at 10:30AM, we were relieved to be on our way. Upon arriving at the Mumbai airport, we had missed our connecting flight with Jet Airways at 12:35PM. We were then told by the Jet Airways booth that they were not able to simply put us on the next flight because it was not the same airline. They were asking for 22,000Rs to transfer us to the next flight. As this was unreasonable, I called Samim Khan and asked for a solution. He did not pick up my phone calls. I then asked Jet Airways for a fair solution. They said that they would not charge me a cancellation fee and MakeMyTrip would give me a full refund for that flight if I could find a cheaper flight. Out of desperation, I approached Akshar Travel Agency booth directly across from Jet Airways, and they found a SpiceJet flight for 14,000 Rs. I immediately paid for this flight OUT OF POCKET in addition to what I had already paid for the package.

Finally, we arrived in Goa and got to the hotel. The reception informed us that there was a mandatory hotel party on New Year's Eve that all guests must pay for. The hotel party cost 3,500 Rs. per person. I had already spent 14,000 Rs. earlier in the day, and I was frustrated with travelling. I called Samim Khan again, and he finally picked up. I reminded him that I had requested a hotel with no mandatory party. He "checked" the vouchers and assured me that the hotel did not mention a NYE party. I told him to speak directly to the hotel staff. The hotel staff told him to check the vouchers again as they had clearly put up the information. After about an hour or so, the situation was not resolved. The hotel staff refused to check us into our hotel, and MakeMyTrip refused to pay for the hotel party. We didn't want to attend the party at all; we simply wanted to rest after a very hectic travel day. Samim Khan started avoiding my calls, and I spent 3 hours sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for a reply from either party. By 11:00pm, I had gotten restless and called MakeMyTrip customer support. The agent followed the normal protocol of asking for my booking ID. Within 2 minutes of pulling up my file, she said the computers were "down" and she was unable to access my file. I knew this was a lie because she would not have been able to punch in my booking ID if the system was down. She said that she would call me within 1 hour. After spending 3 hours, I refused to wait this extra hour. The hotel manager approached me, and I explained my situation. He kindly requested his owner to let us check in, and we ended up getting checked in at 11:30PM.

The remainder of the trip went well without a hitch. However, I was bound to get reimbursed for my 14,000Rs and the poor customer service. After calling Samim Khan and several other customer service agents, I had made 10+ calls and spoke for 2 hours over the span of 5 days. I simply wanted a refund on a flight that delayed due to weather. It was not my fault that the flight had been delayed, and it was not my fault that my UNINTELLIGENT agent SAMIM KHAN had booked 2 separate airlines. In addition, I was willing to let the hotel reception experience pass. Samim Khan is lucky that I was patient and I begged the hotel manager to let us stay. If it was someone else, Samim Khan would have gotten an ear full. Due to the lack of customer service, I give this company a NEGATIVE 10 out of 5 rating. I will never book with this company again, and I hope Samim Khan one day learns that humans make mistakes, and it is how you react to those mistakes that determines your character.

MakeMyTrip MakeMyTrip Review: Terrible Service, Cheating Customers, and No Resolution

I recently booked a car rental with MakeMyTrip for my trip from Delhi to Agra to Mussoorie and back to Delhi from August 7th to August 10th, 2015. I planned everything four months in advance and was contacted by an agent named Dilasini from MakeMyTrip who provided me with my itinerary. Luckily, I booked my own accommodations. My booking ID was IN1506B2S099235 and my complaint reference ID was ***49167.

MakeMyTrip was very attentive until I made my payment. They called me every hour to urge me to make the payment. Once I made the payment, they stopped contacting me altogether. Dilasini prepared an itinerary for me to visit Agra on a Friday, but I asked her to change it as most shops would be closed on Fridays. I advised her to add Dhanaulti to the itinerary instead. She kept telling me that she was waiting for the technical team to update her. She prolonged this until a week before our travel, and then suddenly informed me that my bookings were transferred to her manager, Mahesh Bhatt.

Mahesh Bhatt talked to us very friendly and said he would help us by guiding us on the trip as we were visiting India for the first time. He made us book hotels, food, and travel expenses for him. He said he had traveled to Agra 1000 times and Mussoorie 3 times. We thought it would be great to take his help as we made the booking through MakeMyTrip and he was an employee. We regretted this decision later.

Mahesh Bhatt never revealed any information related to the driver or rental services. He just replied that he was traveling along and everything was well taken care of, and not to worry. I updated him again that the itinerary must be changed as Agra is closed on Fridays and Dhanaulti must be added. He told me not to worry and just pay a few hundred or thousand extra, and the driver would take us wherever we wanted to go. He said there was no need to include it in the itinerary.

When we arrived at the airport, there was no one to pick us up. Mahesh Bhatt made us wait at the airport exit for two hours. He picked us up only after we called him, and he said nothing about his delay. Instead of taking us through Yamuna Expressway, he took us through another way that took six hours to reach Agra. We reached Agra at 9 pm, and all the shops were closed. Mahesh Bhatt ate food like he had never seen any food before. We booked his hotel, upgraded his car travel expenses to 3000 rupees extra, and paid for all his expenses. We were informed by the agents that we didn't need to pay anything for the driver or toll taxes as everything was included in the package. But we paid for every meal of the driver's food and all toll taxes, etc. When we asked Mahesh Bhatt so many questions, he said we needed to pay for everything, and it wasn't included. We asked him why he had informed us that the package included everything, and he always replied that he didn't know and that we should ask Dilasini. When we asked him to call Dilasini, he said she had left the job, and no one could contact her. We asked him how to contact someone who had already left the job from MakeMyTrip. Who takes responsibility for this? All our bookings were transferred to Mahesh Bhatt a week before our travel date, and we informed him about everything regarding our itinerary changes. Whose responsibility is that? When we asked him why he traveled with us, he didn't reply. Instead, he said he was just a friend. How could he become our friend if we didn't book through MakeMyTrip, and he didn't serve us on this booking?

We didn't do any sightseeing for four days except for the Taj Mahal. We did two hours of shopping at Mall Road Mussoorie, and that was it. We registered a complaint with MakeMyTrip, but instead of providing a solution, they closed the case three times without notifying or contacting us for anything. I repeatedly reopened the case, and they kept closing it after a week without contacting us for anything.

Mahesh Bhatt WhatsApped us to withdraw the complaint as he would lose his job. We took pity on him and wrote another email to Hellotravel (as I gave feedback on my reviews to Hellotravel about this guy and MakeMyTrip's worst service to us) that this was a misunderstanding and withdrew my review feedback provided about this guy. This was written only to Hellotravel.

Immediately after this email, Mahesh Bhatt took advantage of it and started troubling us again by forcing us to take a trip along with him and pay for his accommodations for ten days, which we were planning for coming December. When I refused to trust MakeMyTrip and Mahesh Bhatt for our next trip, he started becoming nasty immediately. I reopened the case again on him of this behavior to MakeMyTrip. And immediately sent an email to Hellotravel about his attitude, and I notified Hellotravel about this incident.

I wanted MakeMyTrip to take action on this guy and the way he is misusing MakeMyTrip customers and cheating them.

When MakeMyTrip asked him to reply to this complaint, Mahesh Bhatt immediately sent a WhatsApp message and SMS that said, "Will you withdraw your complaint, or do you want me to lose my job?" He mentioned in all his messages to withdraw the complaint as he would lose his job. I told him it was his mistake, and he should be punished for cheating us on our money, time, and trust. This guy immediately kept sending messages and WhatsApp messages that said, "Will you withdraw your complaint, or do you want me to lose my job?" This guy is so stubborn to cheat people as many times as he would.

Later, MakeMyTrip took no action and simply closed the case. I reopened the case again last Saturday. But MakeMyTrip closed the case yesterday, saying that as I had withdrawn my complaint to Hellotravel, they had resolved my case.

When I register a complaint with MakeMyTrip, they should contact me, inquire about information, then investigate thoroughly and take action on the case. When I didn't mention MakeMyTrip about Hellotravel feedback, how did MakeMyTrip come to know about this and resolve my case yesterday at 5:03 pm? I later forwarded the email review feedback I sent to Hellotravel about this incident to MakeMyTrip. Only after this forwarded email should they be aware of this? How did MakeMyTrip come to know about it even earlier I forwarded the email? They closed it based on Hellotravel review, how could that happen? I have reopened the case again and registered a complaint with Consumercomplaints India online and National Consumer Delhi online.

Never choose MakeMyTrip for your travel needs. They can never help people in their bookings. They just want to protect their honor and their employees who cheat their customers. Luckily, the driver was so good, and he helped us by saving us from this guy and his cheap tricks. Thanks to the driver. I have decided never to use MakeMyTrip again for anyone as they don't make your trip; they spoil your trip. Please be careful before choosing your travel agents. Rather choose your car rental services and plan your itinerary to save all your money. That saves a lot of money. As everything is available online now, choose the trusting partners, not someone like MakeMyTrip who cheats their customers and never cares to provide a solution. I totally wasted lots of money on the whole package and MakeMyTrip guy Mahesh Bhatt for over a thousand dollars.

MakeMyTrip Terrible Experience with MakeMyTrip: Incompetent Travel Expert and Substandard Hotels

I recently booked my holiday through MakeMyTrip from 08.03.2016 to 17.03.2016 and had a terrible experience throughout my stay. I want to share my experience with you and I am not interested in an apology from you but want compensation for the trouble, mental anguish, and torture given to me and my family.

My first interaction was with Ms. Shivani Tandon, Travel Expert, who was most incompetent and not fit to become a Travel Expert. She did not have any knowledge of hotels, places, distances, or the condition of the hotels. When I contacted her on 11th Jan., 2016, I explained my requirements, travel plan, my preferences of hotel, our comfort zone, our age, etc. I specifically told her that since I will be traveling with my wife and another couple, I need a hotel with four-star facilities regardless of cost.

Ms. Shivani Tandon arranged my holiday booking for the period 08.03.2016 to 17.03.2016 (Nine nights & ten days) from Mumbai to Amritsar to Dalhousie to Dharmashala to Chandigarh to Mumbai with hotel stay at Amritsar, Dalhousie, Dharmashala & Chandigarh. She had also booked my air tickets from Mumbai to Amritsar & from Chandigarh to Mumbai. She had arranged a car for travel from Amritsar to Dalhousie to Dharmashala to Chandigarh. She had also planned our itinerary for all the places.

My Mumbai to Amritsar flight was booked through Spicejet and Chandigarh to Mumbai by Indigo. Ms. Shivani Tandon who had booked my entire holidays did not know that we will be carrying baggage for our stay for nine nights. Such an irresponsible attitude. While going from Mumbai to Amritsar Ms. Shivani Tandon booked us in Spicejet with only hand baggage eligibility/allowance. This is nothing but foolishness/stupidity. I had to pay Rs. 1600/- to Spicejet. Ms. Shivani Tandon did not inform me about such kind of deal. I want a refund for this entire amount from MakeMyTrip because the ticket issued by MakeMyTrip shows that I was allowed to carry 15 kgs per person.

The car which was arranged for us was without any carrier and there was no space for baggage. At the end, this problem was solved and the owner arranged to fix up a carrier to his car.

My first stay was at Hotel Sallow International, Amritsar from 08.03.2016 to 10.03.2016. This hotel is in a filthy area near Amritsar Bus stand close to many urinals, garbage ground with lots of animals around. It was a crowded place & lots of indiscipline traffic around. The hotel itself is filthy and rooms were very small & tiny/stinking &rotten smelling. No decor etc. Had a problem with their Air-conditioner. Only one person could move in the room due to a shortage of space. The owner showed me his e-mail received from MakeMyTrip where I found that MakeMyTrip paid him Rs. 639/- per day for the room and Ms. Shivani Tandon told me on 11th Jan., 2016 that hotel room rent is nearly Rs. 3,000/- per day. In fact, I suggested her a few hotels but she did not book them. By doing this Ms. Shivani Tandon had cheated me and looted my money. She was trying to save money for MakeMyTrip and putting me into inconvenience for the reasons best known to her.

I immediately contacted Mr. Sohaib Pathan on 8th March 2016, from Operations & Reservation department, Executive Domestic Operations. This person wrote to me on 12th Jan., 2016 that he will be my single point contact and for any problems during my holidays, I should contact him. Mr. Sohaib Pathan showed his inability to help me and put me to Mr. Himanshu Panchal another executive from Customer Support department who only apologized and did nothing. Himanshu Panchal started giving me a stereotype/standard answer. My wife also spoke to him and requested a better hotel for which he told us that we had to pay Rs. 14,000/- extra for a better hotel. I made many calls on my mobile to your executives but they did not bother to help me and we had to stay in such a shabby hotel for two nights. During my stay, I found many good hotels around and in good locality which were between Rs. 2000/- & Rs. 2,500/-.

Our second stay was at Dalhousie from 10.03.2016 to 13.03.2016. We stayed in Hotel Bombay Palace. It was the same story here also. No water in the room for no. Of times. We had to bring buckets from elsewhere. No hot water. No heater was provided. They demanded money for providing a heater in the room. No breakfast was available before 9.00 a.m. In this hotel ground floor is under total renovation and there was no maintenance of the first floor. Door locks were damaged and could not repair it. This hotel was also shabby, stinking, and poor quality. No proper reception. Receptionist is used to sleep/disappear in the night disconnecting intercom. I again contacted Mr. Sohaib Pathan who was not available on the number given by him. While I was standing in the reception area of Bombay Palace, I found that they were charging Rs. 550/- per room per day and Ms. Shivani Tandon charged an exorbitant amount from me.

Our third stay was at Dharmashala in Hotel Anand Palace from 13.03.2016 to 16.03.2016. This hotel was ok. But again poor maintenance. Poor quality of Pillows & cover/bed sheet etc.

Though our stay at Dharmashala was up to 16.03.2016, we left the place on 15.03.2016 and proceeded to Chandigarh. The itinerary provided by Ms. Shivani Tandon says that it takes six hours to reach Chandigarh from Dharmashala. But in reality, it takes a minimum of eight hours due to ghat section etc. How can a person start from Dharmashala after breakfast and reach Chandigarh in the afternoon and visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Museum & Art Gallery? Only Shivani Tandon can answer.

We did not stay in Hotel Marc Royale at Chandigarh because this hotel was very far from the main town almost 15 Kms. Away from the main city. Outskirts of Chandigarh main city. Again filthy area. No restaurants around. No good locality. We stayed in Hotel Hometel group of Sarovar Hotels and had to spend from our pocket.

MakeMyTrip is a cheater/fraud Company and loots their customers by providing substandard/low budget hotels. The room which costs between Rs. 500/- to Rs. 800/- MakeMyTrip charges an exorbitant amount from customers. You provide very average hotels not worth staying for the people like us. Executives of MakeMyTrip are fraud. They are with you till the time they get full money from the customer. They do not know the ABC of the Travel business. They have not visited hotels personally which are on MakeMyTrip list and hence do not understand before offering them to customers. Ms. Shivani Tandon, Sohaib Pathan, Himanshu Panchal are incapable, ineffectual, incompetent, and hopeless executives of your company. If they remain with you for more time, I am sure you will lose your business slowly but surely. I am a hundred per cent sure that you must have earned not less than Rs. 40,000/- from my package paid to you. At Amritsar and Dalhousie, hotels are managed for a few individuals who do not know anything about the service industry. Owners are not staying/visiting hotels for months together.

MakeMyTrip should give three different sets of hotels with different costs. Customers will then have a choice to select from the list of hotels. One executive should be available to help in an emergency. When you plan a customized tour, how can you plan a tour to your benefits financially wise and not to the satisfaction of the customer? When we had given you all the details of the age etc. then how can you place us in an inconvenient place, unhygienic environment, without proper facilities, etc.? I know for sure that MakeMyTrip is not running a trust and you also want to earn a profit. But at what cost? By putting customers into trouble. Your executives should visit all the hotels on your participants' list and make sure that those hotels are worth staying for the customers like us.

I want a refund of the amount Rs. 1600/- paid to Spicejet. I also want some portion of the amount paid to hotels as damages for mental torture/agony.

MakeMyTrip Hotel booking ID NH75031325156884

Dear Sir,

I had booked the hotel for my family (wife and daughter) from 15th May, 2024 to 19th May 2024, but when they visited the hotel it was not as shown on the website. I raised the issue with the MAKEMYTRIP that the hotel is not for a family for stay as the outlook of the hotel is like a Lodge not a property as described in the website. I asked the company to cancel the booking of the hotel as it is not viable to stay for women's in the hotel. The hotel is not women friendly. I had requested the company to refund the booking as I am not using the facility of the hotel. My family had to face lot of trouble on that day i.e. 15th May, 2024 and hot to check in another hotel that night. It was very frightening and ugly situation for my family faced on that day.

Request your good selves to look into the matter and help us in getting the booking amount refunded.

Hope your good selves will do the needful at the earliest and oblige.

MakeMyTrip International flight booking

I have been trying to contact Makemytrip on phone numbers provided on their website on 18th April 2024, for some booking related query/issues.

I am getting no option to speak to their customer relationship executive. It just goes to AVR and I can't find a resolution to my query.

Also no email address provided on their site to which I can write my email to get my query resolved.

MakeMyTrip Makemytrip cheated me

Hi MakeMyTrip,

This is with regards to reference too --> MakeMyTrip Booking ID - UN***112

With your mismanagement, I was unable to board flight

(AIR CANADA) AC-71 --> DEL to TORONOTO (Fri, 25 Dec 15,00:45) & Going forward missed Air Canada to Austin

While asking for tickets at an AIR Canada counter they were not allowing me to fly to Canada. As they can't issue my tickets on my sticker US visa (H1-B) as told due to lack of transit visa, which I was not educated by make my trip on that, even when they have taken details about my USA passport and visa details, mail attached below.

I was completely shocked at that point where my commitment & future schedule was in jeopardy.

Originally, I came from Airline PNR (3IN8HG) & its operated on the rules of LUFTHANSA. I was helpless & not able to seek any kind of help from them also as their flights & staff was off on the eve of Christmas. I was having US number with me, but somehow it's not working on roaming. I rushed to local Airtel booths for calling & follow ups (Booth numbers are mentioned below for reference). Due to paucity of time, I had taken help of my wife to help me change the ticket date for a hassle free travel, therefore with lots of hope she approached MakeMyTrip US -International Customer Care Dept. for help to shuffle the travel date / arrange next immediate flight with different airline, ( call details, voice conversation details can be fetched from your system and for further reference name of the representatives and numbers used have been mentioned below.) We had high hopes as with the changing trend organizations like MakeMyTrip has reinforced Agent Culture and trust, therefore I have been a repetitive customer, but this notion of mine has been broken to a level that, i would urge to retain it back for me or I might never opt for an agent ever and would prefer the conventional booking style.

On first call to customer care, my wife on my behalf, explained them the urgency and briefed them, how due to lack information miss from make my trip has plunged me into the trouble, she requested them to change the ticket, but they simply harshly refused, to give us any sought of help.

On Second call, after again repeating the history / urgency, and with all conversation we were given a piece of advice to get in touch with Lufthansa, which was not even an operating airline rather just partner airline, and MakeMyTrip representative made us believe that they are the only ones which who can help us at this point of time, challenging the last hope, and feeling empathic for the situation my wife approached Lufthansa Customer Care, I must say they proved they are professionals, understanding and supportive after all they are foreign company and customer matters to them, therefore on one go they agreed for an alternate ticket and started suggesting the dates as well on my present scenario, but the moment they went deeper they realized an agent in between MakeMyTrip and then what they said was "we are sorry as the agent is in between then only he can do it we are helpless "

Even I approached information staff / counter Airline staff, all were saying its because of MakeMyTrip you are in such trouble position.

I was left alone in a mess. I was running pillar to pillar to timely arrange an alternate ticket as I had legal commitments, during that time both me and wife were busy struggling for alternate options on individual level and off late I booked one directly and updated my wife to request a refund so as to ease the loss.

Third call my wife, requested them that I am not in touch due to lack of local number, despite repetitive statements by my wife that I lack a local number and even she did not knew what was I upto. Hence a long approx. One hour discussion lead to nothing but a policy repetition, case mug ups and on ""40th minute the representative lightly said he will give an alternate ticket "" now how should I take this on a refund call?

When I already booked alternate ticket after getting NO Response from anyone in due course of time.

Why this was not offered on first call? When I was in pain and felt harassed and denied entry in the plane in front of a big queue, as if I am a terrorist? No body extended their phones to me when I pleaded? A customer friendly agent would have played a dynamic and everlasting role by pulling me put of this situation, MakeMyTrip failed tremendously, because they proved Indian companies are money minded and after their success they forget their customers who actually made them something they are today proud of, my family is your customer since you came into existence and we have always recommended you over other agents look this is what you have gifted us for our years of loyalty, today I wish I would have opted Expedia / Priceline or a direct airline, at least foreign companies respect their customer and its a globally famous how important the customer is in USA, just opening the office on foreign land or a. Com version does not take you to their level. By this approach practice of asking a travel agent to book an airline ticket is flying out of the Indian window.

When I was asked about my passport information by MakeMyTrip before generating confirmed tickets as my Journey involved US travel than why they havent told me about Canada journey definitely required transit visa.

I was not told any of the details. Only credentials associated with US visa has been asked on mail from MakeMyTrip.

Why i was not given other alternative route when i called MakeMyTrip 4-5 hours before boarding on the flight.

When Lufthansa has an capacity to give alternate options why not MakeMyTrip.

Why on the last call, i was given option from alternate arrangement when it was too late & i already have booked my ticket to NY due to my
Official commitments.

Why this last minute option is not given me in my first call to MakeMyTrip.

I have already gone to such mental harassment & experienced insulting situation for denied boarding. Was i fool if i have been notified earlier to get myself into mess. I have not got any informational email alerts from MakeMyTrip for my upcoming flights.

You need to improve your user experience which resulted my loss. My refund is still pending with MakeMyTrip.

MakeMyTrip Dear MakeMyTrip

Dear MakeMyTrip,

I would like to personally thank you for ruining my vacation with your poor customer service and general demeanor. Planning a trip with your company was definitely memorable as I now know never to book with your company or even recommend any of my family and friends either.

It all started when I decided to spend 5 days in Goa around New Years Eve. I booked my trip with Samim Khan from the Delhi. The trip total came to 68,000 Rs. Which included flight from Delhi to Goa, 4 nights at Hotel Colva Kinara, and a flight from Goa to Mumbai (Booking ID: IN1412B6S167325). I had requested Hotel Colva Kinara after finding out that other hotels were charging an extra fee for a New Years Eve Party. Samim Khan said this hotel did not have a mandatory party for their guests.

1. I was only able to pay 20,000 Rs. At a time with my debit card and I was going to pay for the trip over several days. Samim Khan insisted that I pay the full amount as soon as possible. In a hurry, we asked if we could pay the remainder (48,000 Rs.) in cash. He gladly agreed and directed us to go to the Mumbai (Andheri) office on Sunday before 6pm. After rushing to get there, we were turned away by the security guard who informed us that the office closes at 5pm on Sundays. I immediately called Samim Khan and he told us that he was unaware of the hours of operation of the office that HE had sent us to for HIS company. We were frustrated that he had made me and my 80 year old grandfather run in order to make it to this office on the other side of town.

2. The following day we went to the Mumbai office right when it had opened up at 10AM. We were now told by the staff at this location that they can only accept 25,000 Rs. Cash at a time. I immediately called Samim Khan and once again, he denied any knowledge of this rule. We ended up paying at the Andheri office and then crossing the city to the Mahim office in order to pay the remainder of the trip.

3. At the Mahim office, Samim Khan tells me that he didn't book the package at the time when I had paid over 50% of the cost and now the direct flight from Delhi to Goa was 6000 Rs more. I calmly requested for another alternative flight that would leave the package cost at 68,000 Rs. He gladly gave us a connecting flight with two separate airlines that stopped in Mumbai for 3 hours. We were reluctant to take this offer as it would waste a full day travelling but we were forced by the circumstances to agree.

4. On December 26,2014, we got on the IndiGo flight at 630AM in Delhi. The pilot and airport were constantly giving us notifications that the poor visibility conditions (57m) was below their required standard (125m). As a result, all the passengers on this flight were seated on the aircraft for OVER 4 HOURS. When the flight finally left at 1030AM, we were relieved to be on our way. Upon arriving at the Mumbai airport, we had missed our connecting flight with Jet Airways at 12:35PM. We were then told by the Jet Airways booth that they were not able to simply put us on the next flight because it was not the same airline. They were asking for 22,000Rs to transfer us to the next flight. As this was unreasonable, I called Samim Khan and asked for a solution. He did not pick up my phone calls. I then asked Jet Airways for a fair solution. They said that they would not charge me a cancellation fee and MakeMyTrip would give me a full refund for that flight if I could find a cheaper flight. Out of desperation, I approached Akshar Travel Agency booth directly across from Jet Airways and they found a SpiceJet flight for 14,000 Rs. I immediately paid for this flight OUT OF POCKET in addition to what I had already paid for the package.

5. Finally, we got on the flight and we arrived in Goa. We get to the hotel and the reception informs us that there is a mandatory hotel party on New Years Eve that all guests must pay for. The hotel party costs 3,500 Rs. Per person. I had already spent 14,000 Rs. Earlier in the day and I was frustrated with travelling. I called Samim Khan again at that moment and he finally picked up. I reminded him that I had requested a hotel with no mandatory party. He "checked" the vouchers and assured me that the hotel did not mention a NYE party. I told him to speak directly to the hotel staff. The hotel staff told him to check the vouchers again as they had clearly put up the information. After about an hour or so, the situation was not resolved. The hotel staff refused to check us into our hotel and MakeMyTrip refused to pay for the hotel party. We didn't want to attend the party at all, we simply wanted to rest after a very hectic travel day. Samim Khan started avoiding my calls and calls from the hotel itself. I am going to assume that he recognized HIS mistake but he refused to ADMIT it and hoped that I would simply pay for it. We spent 3 hours sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for a reply from either party that the hotel would either wave the fee or MakeMyTrip would pay for it. By 11:00pm, I had gotten restless and I called MakeMyTrip customer support. The agent followed the normal protocol of asking for my booking ID. Within 2 minutes of pulling up my file, she said the computers were "down" and she was unable to access my file. I knew this was a lie because she would not have been able to punch in my booking ID if the system was down. She said that she would call me within 1 hour. After spending 3 hours, I refused to wait this extra hour. The hotel manager approached me and I explained my situation. I had explained to him that I did not want to attend the NYE party and nor would I pay for it. We both knew that Samim Khan had not read the vouchers correctly and knowingly he was avoiding our phone calls. He kindly requested his owner to let us check in. The hotel manager was able to convince his boss that we had a very special circumstance and our mandatory party fee should be waived. We ended up getting checked in at 11:30PM.

The remainder of the trip went well without a hitch. But I was bound to get reimbursed for my 14,000Rs and the poor customer service. Sorry, LACK of customer service. After calling Samim Khan and several other customer service agents, I had made 10+ calls and spoke for 2 hours over the span of 5 days. I simply wanted a refund on a flight that delayed due to weather. It was not my fault that the flight had been delayed and it was not my fault that my UNINTELLIGENT agent SAMIM KHAN had booked 2 separate airlines. In addition, I was willing to let the hotel reception experience pass. Samim Khan is lucky that I was patient and I begged the hotel manager to let us stay. If it was someone else, Samim Khan would have gotten an ear full. Due to the lack of customer service, I give this company a NEGATIVE 10 out of 5 rating. I will never book with this company again and I hope Samim Khan one day learns that humans make mistakes and it is how you react to those mistakes that determines your character.

I reserved an international airtravel trip via MakeMyTrip for my family for this summer " May *** to June ". Travel is for American Airlines and booked via MakeMyTrip. Booking *** with a a transaction worth of ~$10,000 (? 709791.97). Due to COVID situation American Airlines cancelled the flights and I am eligible for 100% Refund. American Airlines completed their refund process on May *** and confirmed that full refund value was sent to MakeMyTrip on May *** for all passengers. I tried many times to reach MakeMyTrip to get my money back and initial couple of time I was able to reach via phone and later their system doesn`t allow me to connect their customer care agent . Only mode of communication is to file a ticket for which everytime the agent closes that the refund will be completed in 21 to 45 days. Its been nearly 75 days after the cancellation and I have filled nearly 20 different tickets on their system. All my tickets are closed with generic message and I have no mode to contact them. Due to COVID situation my family is need of these money for our parents health needs and also it created an impact on my health also. Issues: 1. We all understand these are tough time for everyone but in my case the money is refunded by the airline 65 days back and MakeMyTrip is holding it 2. Their response to customer queries are the worst 3. There is no details on the progress or status of the query 4. I am sure like myself many customers might be facing issues with MakemyTrip

I had cancelled my trip with Booking ID with MakeMytrip. Makemytrip has not refunded the amount to the original payment mode despite having been told to do so. They do not have any authority to keep the money hostage with them and should return the amount to the customer. They frequently respond as if they will resolve the issue in 24-48 hrs or 7-10 business days. But once that time elapses nothing actually gets done - its a frustrating loop with an inefficient and corrupt company which gives zero credence to customer complaints. Unfortunately this is nothing new with this business - they have received thousands of similar complaints. Regulators should examine MMTs business practice of defrauding customers so rampantly. MakeMyTrip Refund is not received more than 15days post cancellation

I was booked the train ticket from Chhapra to Ahmedabad which was automatically cancelled by MMT team. Booking was on date 07/11/2023 and received an email from MMT the refund will be made in 03 working days and till date I'm still following up for the refund of my payment.

Further to online complaint, dated 20/11/2023 asked for bank statement which was provided on email.

Kindly provide the refund on immediate basis or else I will be forced to approach the consumer forum by Tuesday, 28/11/2023. Further MMT Will be responsible for further cause with no future negotiation.

MakeMyTrip Payment deducted twice for the same Booking ID or PNR

 I made a booking from Make my trip site on Mon [protected]:29 pm from chennai to Doha , the booking ID is NN2GAQTV3UJ2ZP7S4022.  Please note i reschedule the date for the above booking ID on Tue [protected]:48 pm from Chennai to Doha . Here the amount deducted twice for the same booking for rescheduling and invoiced two times for the same PNR WPWJYV . MakeMyTrip Flight booking cancellation

I booked an indigo flight from Bangalore to Kolkata for 18 Nov 23 with the booking id NF733F77IO0POQQH8024. I'm unable to cancel the flight. It is showing they are unable to fetch cancellation details.. I tried calling them on customer care and in the options to select I couldn't find my booking and when I type last digit of my booking ID as they asked they are saying no booking is found with this id. If I was able to cancel it within 24 hours I would have lost only nominal penalty but because of their technical issue I am unable to cancel it with in the time frame.

Hi Team, Have opted for tour package from MMT between 23rd May 2023 to 26th May 2023. But as conveyed by MMT advisor, GoAir flight issue, booking done by MMT for flights were cancelled so booked another flights on personal behalf. After chasing for almost 3 months no refund for cancelled flights is received. Pls intervene to get the same as soon as possible.

MakeMyTrip Booking

I tried booking for a bus from Bangalore to Chennai to depart tonight. However, the MMT app showed a dialog box saying that the payment failed the first time and since there was no messages or feedback from their side. So I made the same booking again after 10 mins. This time it showed the same dialog box saying payment failed. However, I later received messages stating that I had 2 bookings for the same trip and the money was deducted. No since it's less that 24 hours, I'm getting a partial refund on cancelling my booking. I contacted their customer support and it's all automated. There is no human at all that I can speak to. Neither is there a way to reach them on their email. What kinda app and customer service is this? I lose money because of them and have no way to resolve this? Does this make sense? I demand an explanation and full refund!

MakeMyTrip Flight booking

I booked a round trip from Delhi to Bangalore on 09 August 2023 at 2:25 PM.

I made the payment through google pay but the payment was not confirmed my make my trip. The money was deducted from my account but I never got the confirmation from make my trip. Later make my trip app showed that it was an unsuccessful flight booking. I have raised a refund request but there has been no response from make my trip.

But he insisted INR 600.00 for extra mileage with telling initial or final readings.
In all he collected INR 2800 / - IN CAsH , saying he he NO QR screen to scan to pay on line

Desired outcome: 1, MMT SHOULD APOLOGISE. 3, MMT has Caused me to a loss of INR 600.00. This amount should be reimbursed to me.
