Of course, like all Obama water-based appliances, one has to wash dishses byhand and then run through the dishwaser if you want results similar to models prior to the Obama administration. But whas is really horrible is the folding rack features in the large, main compartment. They will not lock properly, so it takes two or three times normal to load plates, for it is always falling into the down position. Very annoying.

Recommendation: Don't buy a dishwasher model with adjustable racks.
