Have been a Parts Express customer since the 1980's. At one time, I could order early one day and have the merchandise the next day via UPS. Things have certainly changed. Their offer of "free shipping" for a minimum order (currently $49) does not include the disclaimer "we let your box sit until we get around to actually shipping it. On my most recent order entered on a Friday morning, I got a receipt and USPS tracking number that day. The package didn't start moving until Tuesday of the following week. Similar delay experiences on two previous orders. I suppose it's their way of pushing you to pay for shipping anyway which, I'm sure, improves their bottom line. 5-6 days Springboro to Akron is ridiculous when most of it is spent on their loading dock.

So, I bought these speakers from Parts Express, right? They were supposed to be restock speakers, and the website claimed they had 'em in stock. But guess what? A few days later, I get this email sayin' they canceled my order 'cause they ran outta stock. Can you believe it? Talk about a classic bait and switch move! Man, I gotta say, Parts Express really let me down with this one. I mean, who does that? It's just plain dishonest, ya know? Now they're tellin' me I can order a new pair, but at a higher price. Parts Express charged me $5.95 for shipping to Pennsylvania, which is about 6 hours away from their Ohio location. I was expecting my package to be shipped via USPS first class, but they ended up using UPS mail innovations instead. I strongly suggest considering purchasing from another retailer instead of Parts Express, where they offer more reliable shipping and provide better responses than just a simple "sorry". I am truly disappointed because this kit is not cheap for me as a student, and I had diligently saved up for it, only to find myself running out of time to build it.

Now, let me provide a follow-up to this review. It's the 24th of March, and I was promised compensation and free delivery directly from the President himself. However, there has been no follow-up, no updates whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if it's already the 24th of April or June, and I'm still here writing the same words. It makes me wonder if they only care about their fellow Americans. Maybe I'm just not important enough to them. Frankly, I couldn't care less about Parts Express and their lackluster service. They can keep their FARTS Sexpre$$ for all I care.
