How can such a beautiful frig (which is still in pristine condition) DIE so soon?!
Icemaker / water issue shortly after we bought it in 2018. Then in August 2025 the compressor went. It is in a rural location and NO ONE will work on LG. NO ONE is willing to replace the compressor. I loved that frig and wanted to repair it, but LG will only provide 90 days warranty on the replacement compressor even if we could find someone. We were told we could take a $425 refund (on our multi-thousand dollar investment) and void the warranty on the frig.
Now LG is even reneging on that promise. This is a known FAILURE issue. We spent thousands on multiple products, and now they won't even honor a cheap $425 "solution"? By the way, the stove timer display is "burning out" (shows partial numbers, parts of them don't light up anymore).
We will never buy LG again.
Such a shame. The frig has the nicest quality black matte finish on it that I've seen compared to any other brand. It was spacious, beautiful, quiet, loved the features, but have to say goodbye because LG sold junk parts and won't stand behind their products or their promises.
Desired outcome: Waiting for some explanation from the Presidential Escalation Department.
