Enterprise Rent-A-Car Roadside Service

My name is Kim Haver I rented a truck to go from Battle Creek Michigan to Pittsburgh to pick up equipment for my business I had a flat tire on my rented truck I paid $53 a day for all your roadside services. I called your service hottline and waited 2 hours for tow truck to show up and my uber or taxi ride never showed up leaving me on the side of road after tow truck took my vehicle in winter in Michigan. Luckily, I was only 3 miles from my home when truck had flat tire so I walked home carrying all my belongings for my trip. I spent all day dealing with this and had to cancel my trip.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car My credit card charged without my consent

April 2022 Tesla provided me with a car rental. In the morning while at work, I received a text that my car was ready for pickup. I dropped off my car at enterprise on the same day right before closing. My credit card was on file for incidentals. I was not charged until September 2023. When I inquired, at first, Enterprise has no record of it. I had a dispute with my credit card and they gave me Record # Teslavn with invoice # [protected]. I emailed [protected]@EHI.com twice with no response. Later I found they charged my card without my knowledge for an extra day. My credit card was charged without my approval 5 months later.

Desired outcome: I want my refund of $168.36

Hello; I have been out of the country since February 20, 2023 and returned yesterday March 6th. I have contacted claims and inquiries several times without any response.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car I just want to put all my experience with Enterprise in this area the last 16 years on record.

I used to do business with Enterprise back in 2007 when they had an office in St. Clair, MI at a car dealership. Things were cool, then. 2 or 3 years later when money was tighter, I tried to rent a car for Friday only and drop off Saturday, the next day. Since they were closed on the weekend, I was told I'd have to rent for 3 days and the earliest drop off would be Monday. No thanks. Enterprise saves on payroll on the weekend and MAKES more money by trying to sucker the customer into paying for days they don't need the vehicle. A nice little 'double dip' in the cash flow department. They had a rep try to call me to smooth it all over or do a little reputation damage control but we ended up playing 'phone tag'. Enterprise in SC is now gone for some reason. Now let's move on to the nearest remaining location in the area - Ft. Gratiot, MI. A friend of mine said this location was great for their 'cheap weekend rates'. A year or so after the Covid crisis I tried to get this weekend rate but it seemed very expensive. Why? They stopped the weekend rates for some reason and went to regular prices! I passed on this great deal, also. Now move on to 3 days ago when I needed to rent a large SUV or van to get some artwork of mine down to Detroit for an art exhibition and was on the Enterprise site exploring quotes, availability, and make a reservation, but I could not rent from them when I showed them 'reloadable' (their definition PREPAID and therefore not acceptable). I've had this card for almost 4 years. Never been refused by anyone except THEM. After I got rejected by I secured a rental of a Penske Van from Solo Storage in 45 minutes online and picked the vehicle up next day. They didn't turn their nose up at this same card and ran it, and everything was cool. I got my work to the show safely. I'll be using Penske again. Nice, convenient, down to earth, and fewer roadblocks. I do appreciate the nice employees at Enterprise Ft. Gratiot, though - this was the fault of their 'suits' higher up. After busing to their store in frigid weather, the employees were concerned for this gimpy 67 year-old guy and gave him a lift back into town. Very nice treatment. I just wish the suits were a bit more helpful. Enterprise is now a useless entity to me, as I am to them. Maybe we're even. And the other mom-and-pop car rental in town has more problems than Enterprise. Slim pickings up here.

Desired outcome: They really won't care but may try some 'spin' or damage control about this and continue as usual.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Charges for damage not related to the damage incurred to a front tire and bent wheel rim.

Our daughter rented a car from Enterprise. Our family's go-to rental company has always been Enterprise and we've rented from them for over 30 years. Early one raining morning in the dark, our daughter hit a curb on a highway exit and blew the FRONT passenger tire and damaged the wheel rim. The car was towed to Tires Plus on Main Street in Green Bay. Upon fixing the damaged area and while under the car, the serviceman noticed there was a bent REAR axle, which in accordance with their agreement with Enterprise, they needed to fix. Both the serviceman and the manager indicated that this axle was NOT due to her incident. They have reported that to Enterprise. We also gave them the name of the claims representative that has been in touch with us, Jillian Shields. Jillian has not be helpful nor given any input other than to call and say our payment has not been received. I respectfully asked to speak to her supervisor. She said he was in the office and would take my call. Upon being transferred, I received the supervisor's voicemail. I left a message, but have not heard anything further.

We indicated to Enterprise representatives and to Tires Plus that we would be personally responsible for paying for the damage our daughter incurred (front tire and rim). This amount came out to over $800. Because we did not get insurance, we are totally in agreement that this is our responsibility. However, when we received the bill, the amount charged included $1000 for the rear axle, the bill then totaling $1,891.82.

This may have been incurred by a prior renter. Without knowledge, your team may never have known there was any damage as there was no reason so check underneath the car after a prior rental.

After so many wonderful years of dealing with Enterprise both personally and also when I was working for the managing partner of a NY law firm, I am extremely disappointed in the stonewalling and service regarding this incident.

Desired outcome: We are sending our check in the amount of $1,891.82 for this claim, but I feel Enterprise owes us a refund of $1,000 for the charge that was not related to our daughter's incident.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Enterprise erroneously charged my personal visa for an insurance claim

On August 2, 2022, Jesse Thomas of Riverwood Claims Mgmt (a 3rd party servicer for Southern Trust Insurance) reserved a vehicle for me to drive while my car was being repaired under his client Brooke Darnell's claim. As approved at time of rental, I left the vehicle at Foster's Auto Body on August 8, 2022. I called Enterprise on August 10th to report that I had left vehicle at Body Shop. Enterprise thanked me and said that Foster's had not yet notified them but they would send someone to pick up car. Three months later, on November 22, 2022 a $316.57 charge from Enterprise appeared on my personal Visa card. Since I had not rented a vehicle, I contested the chg. CapitalOne investigated and added the charge of $316.57 back to my Visa on December 16, 2022 because Enterprise claimed it was a legitimate chg. On Dec. 27th I went to the Alcoa TN branch and spoke to Erick Foglio Enterprise branch mgr. who told me Riverwood did not pay invoice and after leaving many unreturned vm's to Jesse Thomas of Riverwood for pymt. Enterprise charged the vehicle to my personal Visa. After multiple unreturned vm's on Jan. 25th Jesse Thomas called me and said that Enterprise had not filed invoice correctly to corp. acct. and should have never charged to my Visa no matter how long it took Riverwood to pay invoice. Further, he said Riverwood had included payment for invoice on regular monthly inv. payment to Enterprise corp on Aug 10th. Enterprise says it has not been paid, Riverwood says it paid invoice. Neither is willing to do research to resolve the problem, I am retired, on a fixed income, and this charge is a hardship to me, having now been outstanding on my Visa for 6 weeks drawing an exorbitantly high interest rate. I need my $316.57 back!

Desired outcome: I am FRUSTRATED and due a $316.57 refund from either Enterprise or Riverwood. The two parties need to provide documentation of when invoice was charged and when it was paid. to each other to resolve.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Refund for deposit

I rented a truck for six months a commercial box truck deposits were sold to be $2600 for each box truck pay the final payment for mileage in renting for two weeks for two trucks for $1600 the regional manager of the Mansville Ohio store has been back-and-forth phone tagging over the holidays call several times to the customer service told me they were to escalate my complaints I have not received not one phone call returned and I still have not received my deposit it is from December 2, 2022 when the trucks were returned it is now February 1, 2023 and I still have not received a $5200 deposit for my rental trucks manager Justin told me that my deposit coming back would be only 2400 I’m assuming he cannot count.

Desired outcome: I would like my deposit of 5200 returned to me as soon as possible through my debit cards I have been told several times that he will be sending me a check for over over two months now

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Inadequate service/left stranded

I had a claim to have my vehicle repaired through Allstate and was provided with an Enterprise rental. I requested a 4 wheel drive but they did not have one available. I managed to drive home in the Toyota Corolla they provided and was hit by a snow storm. I am going into my 4th week of being stranded. Enterprise has been rude and says I must get their car back to them. It is sitting, undamaged but undriveable in my driveway. I am 64 years old with osteoarthritis and I have been trying to dig their vehicle out with limited success. I am on my own with the threat of owing on a vehicle I didn't want if I don't return it. They tried to get a tow truck through but they sent inadequate vehicles. The last time this occurred I phoned the tow truck company and asked them if they were aware of the recovery. They were not and thanked me for not wasting their time. So if I fall and break my leg and die in the snow will Enterprise still charge for their vehicle? One of their employees told me that 'if you don't like it come in here and I will tell it to your face'.

You guys always say that 'Let us know how we can help' or 'we are sorry for your inconvenience'. I am still stranded and now I have a bad chest cold and can't get anything done. I still have to find wood every day or I will freeze and get water out of a runoff tank that I am hoping is okay to drink. You e-mail care@dont-care. You people are useless and I will not let this go.

Addendum: Enterprise said that due to my inconvenience they would do a rescue of the vehicle at no cost to me and then turned around and said it would cost $1000 and maybe my insurance would pay for it! Allstate and Enterprise throw each other under the bus. I have documentation regarding this rescue service.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car My card was charged for my brother’s rental

In October of 2021 my brother’s auto insurance, State Farm, arranged for a rental car through Enterprise. The car was picked up at the Superstition Springs branch in Mesa, Az. and returned in Coos Bay, Oregon. Upon return he was told he owed $500 for damage. I loaned my $100.00 which I put on my debit card at that time, and only authorized the one time transaction for $100.00. I even asked specifically that my card not be kept on file.

On December 16,2022 I noticed a charge on my bank account for $400.00 from Enterprise, I immediately called my bank and to report fraudulent activity. I then called Enterprise and was informed that the charges were for my brother’s rental contract- which I am NOT on. I have spoken with the branch manager, Lexi, who has not reversed the charges, I have called customer service multiple times and have been told they were escalating my concern. I have been dealing with this for over a month with the charges still on my account. This was not a contract that I was on, a vehicle I did not drive and the debt is not mine. I have asked for a copy of the contract only to be told since it’s over a year old it can not be pulled up in the system. The ticket number for the damage I was provided is 4TF40N.

Desired outcome: Refund immediately and my card to be removed from the account.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Enterprise did not honor reservation request.

1. Did not receive the type of car I reserved.

I reserved a Full size rental car at the Melbourne Airport (MLB) location for12/25/22 - 1/1/23. Confirmation #[protected]. When I arrived at the counter, I was told there were no full-size cars or smaller available and I would have to take an SUV. I specifically wanted a smaller car because the purpose of my trip was to move my elderly mother from her home into assisted living. She cannot step up into a large SUV, like the one I was provided. Rental agreement #[protected].

I had no choice but to take the SUV and decided to try and exchange it after the holidays. On Friday, December 30, 22, I called the local Enterprise location (I was staying in Vero Beach, FL) and was told they had no cars available that day but someone was to call me back around 2 pm with an update. I did not receive a call back. On Monday, January 2, I called again and another person told me there were no cars available and that I should call back at 4 pm. They could not hold a car for me. I then called the corporate number and spoke to a gentleman who asked me to hold and never came back, I was disconnected. I was too busy moving my mother and getting her apartment ready to continually call Enterprise. My mother had a very difficult time getting in and out of the car I was provided.

2. My reservation was priced at $638.09 for one week (including taxes). I extended this to two weeks and was charged over $1500. I did not receive a receipt so I am not sure the exact amount.

Desired outcome: Refund for extra charges, at a minimum.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Additional charges on my car rental bill with my knowledge

My car was damaged in an accident and my insurance company sent me to Enterprise for the car rental and I was told that 1500 will be covered by the insurance towards the car rental. When I was assigned the car on the first day I specifically asked for no winter tires but the enterprise employee assigned me a car that had winter tires and she told me that because she was unaware about the car already having winter tires I will not be overcharged and also emailed me my receipt with No winter tires cost. I also constantly asked them to inform me a day before when I reach my 1500 limit so that I do not have to pay anything out of my pocket and I will return the car before the 1500 ends.

So I was driving the car for 35 days now when enterprise called me on 8th January saying that this car was being sold and that I will have to pick another car to continue my rental. I went in and asked about my limit and I was told there is still some time. Now on 18th January I got a call from my insurance that my 1500 limit was completed on 17th so I have to return the car back to the rentals. So I called Enterprise to asked about their working hours to return the car and they are telling me that my total bill is $2500 something and I have to pay the remaining when I was never informed by any of the two companies about the day I reached the limit. The insurance says that the limit was reached on 17th but Enterprise says that the limit was reached way before that is how it is $2500 now and they called the insurance company several times but they never responded but I was never informed. Also they charged me for the winter tires that I was told by the employee not to worry about as she was also unaware. I do not know what to do now, both the companies are just ripping me. I also have my credit card submitted to the company for security deposit hold before I return the car.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Car rental

I rented a Nissan Murano from 302 CONTINENTAL BLVD, MERRIMACK, NH, 03054. It was 2020 vehicle with 50K milage. The car was pretty dirty and had minor scratches. When I asked the agent she said the scratches are minor and less than a dollar bill so nothing to worry. Since they didn't have many choices I agreed to take it. I returned the car a JFK. The agent who received the car asked me where I was headed, the moment he learned that I was headed overseas he started acting weird. I realized he was looking for some money but unfortunately, I had no cash. He hinted I might have to pay for the minor scratches on top of the driver side door, to which I replied they were already present when I rented the car. I took the some pictures and left. After I returned from vacation I found a bunch of flase claim documents from enterprise. They send me some pictures of scartches that were not there when I dropped the car. I emailed back to enterprise that the agent is trying to bring down your business by harassing customers like us. I have evidence of the state in which the car was dropped. Though the amount is very less but no matter what i"ll never pay to cheats like this.

My name is Karen,I hate to contact you however I have know other choice. Last week I was heading to my daughter's house who was recovering from surgery when a driver in a enterprise rental struck my car. I was shocked. I have been without transportation for over a week. I ve been more then patient and understanding. I have been paying for rides and users which I should not have to because it was the other person fault. I have wasted days calling and been transfered from department to department with no response or resolution. I am completely defeated and frustrated. I live in Charlotte NC where a car is a necessity. I have to work to provide a living for my family and I am in school to further my education, not having transportation is not an option for me. Ms. Terri whos my claim adjuster has refused to call me back, or email back regarding this matter, Mr. Andre emailed me today stating that the person who hit me elected not to have enterprise insurance and they dont no who the coverage is, on the police report it states enterprise. The call center states the vehicle has not been rented out since December  of 2022 so it seem to me a employee of enterprise either rented this vehicle or a employee friend rented this vehicle which its not my problem or issue. Enterprise needs to take responsibility and ownership. I know policy and procedures clearly states that insurance information has to be taken if a renter opt out enterprise insurance. Since it's been over a week I believe that's more than enough time for Andrew to collect insurance information. I would like to get this matter resolved in house. 

This is by the far wose experience I have ever had, I am seriously thinks of complaining to the bbb, attorney General office, the trade commission, etc. Claim number [protected].

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Your whole customer service system blows

Stop [censored]ing calling me for a contract I’m not connected to, telling ME TO DO YOUR JOB BY CONTACTING THE PERSON WHO HAS THE RENTAL? For you?!?!? What the [censored]? You want me to authorised a payment on a credit card that’s not mine? For a car I didn’t rent? So you can take a break? [censored] you. It happens yesterday and today. Jan 12th at 12 and Jan 13 at 1pm. Stop calling ME. CALL THE PERSON WHO UAS THE TENTAL CONTRACT. STOP ASKOKG ME TO AUTHORISE PAYMENT ON HER CREDIT CARD BECAUSE IT MAKES IT EASIER ON YOU!

Desired outcome: Idk comp whomever actually has the [censored]ing rental for your employees being absolutely terrible at their jobs. To the point of borderline fraud.

I drove 25 miles to pick up my one way rental to Orlando (bad enough that Southwest canceled my flight the day before) to find that Enterprise was not allowing any one way rentals that day. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Overcharged fee and missing bill

When i bring back my car the guys at the desk told me the final price for the rental would be 27 209,55 pesos.we did all the transactions,he give me the card receipt for the 27 209,55 pesos and another one for the refund of the safety deposit.he also give me a sheet where i sign and where he sign saying that would be no extra fee for the damage on the car since the full insurance cover it.after that he tell me he would send me the final bill on my email. When i got home i look at my email the guys didnt send me the final bill and when i was not there he charged me 852,48 cad.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Refusing to take accountability

I hit a deer on 9/29/22 I was on my way into NYC. I could not rent a vehicle I had went to 7 different locations and none had any vehicles that were covered by my insurance. On Sept 30, 2022 I rented a vehicle with your branch on 2815 38th Ave Astoria, NY 11101. I waited 3 ½ hours in the branch for a vehicle. I was given the Nissan Maxima. Sam took my partner’s License and said he and I were the only two drivers. I purchased the extra insurance. I was told that medical is not covered should an accident with injury occurred. The staff did not clean the vehicle. Does Enterprise take safety precaution for Covid-19? I was under the assumption Enterprise Employees are to follow a safety point system before allowing a vehicle to be rented out on the road and this car failed. The oil change light was on the next day after I picked up the vehicle. The tires on the vehicle were not safe to be driving on the road. On 10/22/22, I caught a flat tire. I called the Enterprise roadside assistance. AAA was dispatched and the young man put a donut on my car and told me the vehicle was not in condition to drive to swap the vehicle but the nearest Enterprise location was closed. I drove home and called Enterprise again in the morning. On 10/23/22 Enterprise advised me to go to Monroe Mufflers in Norwich NY to get a tire replacement. Tim from Monroe Mufflers on Route 12 in Norwich, NY 13815 immediately called Enterprise and called in an Emergency Swap because the tires were not in condition to be driving. I needed to drive to Syracuse Airport to swap the car at Enterprise Syracuse Airport. I gave the car and was given a Nissan Frontier. My partner and I both gave our licenses to the gentleman in the booth who was overwhelmed by other customers who had damages and catching flights. Him and another female were the only two employees working. I left the airport and went to get something to eat. I was then rear ended by a lunatic. I called Enterprise to explain what happened that nice. I Corresponded with Clarissa and Brittany Rubert both Liability adjusters and Derek Ingordo the Medical adjuster. Derek lied that he did not receive info with in the 30 days of the accident. I been calling since it happened. I have two claim numbers [protected] and [protected].Derek lied saying he sent me a denial letter and that he sent it to my lawyer. He sent after I called my lawyer and he emailed it to her. I received a call on 1/5/2023 to say the case is denied because James was driving when we were rear ended. I would have never been in Syracuse that night if Enterprise didn’t rent me out a defective car with bad tires. I am being denied after I paid extra money for extra insurance. I entitled for an appeal. The receipt of the rental is from 9/30/22 till 11/4/22. There is no separate rental agreement. I paid for insurance and trusted Enterprise to put me in a safe vehicle. I will be reporting this on social media and to the news. My life was placed in danger and I was in an accident because I had to swap out a faulty vehicle. I would have never been there if it wasn’t Enterprise faulty vehicle. I will not accept this decision and seek to find all legal measures possible.

Desired outcome: I want them to cover the Liability Damages and Medical. I am injured.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Your rewards program

I rented a car on my computer under my account and it has my husband listed as a driver. I wasn't going to be able to drive do to some health issues so my husband gave him is dl and credit card under my rewards program. I just was getting to make another reservation for next year to New York and realized that I didn't have my points on there from last year. So I called customer service and they said because my husband drove it and rented it (I did the reservations on line on my account husband and wife) that I don't get the points. After all these years being a reward member not to mention my husband company I am feeling like I am not as important as a customer so maybe I will check some other companies to see if they care about there customers. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Unsafe vehicle

My damaged vehicle was in the shop for repairs I was given a Jetta with scrubbng brakes. It was taking so long for my vehicle to be repaired and the brakes were getting worse we went back into the rental center to see if I could exchange the vehicle for something safer, They did not have anything on that day but requested i return on the following day. this was not acceptable for me I had to work. my work schedule is 7-7:30.

The low pressure light alarmed for the tire pressure I went to the center again and was instructed to take the vehicle to the Firestone Center down the street and they would replace the flat tire I was able to make it to the center before it went completely flat. I was there for almost two hours waiting for the approval to have the tire replaced. It never came because the rental center never called to order in. The person at Firestone stated I would have to return in the AM because he was sure it was not going to be approved tonight. We called the Roadside Assistance number and was told the approval would be sent. Waited an additional 40 minutes no approval. Called again to customer service number was told to take vehicle to another location to see if they could switch it out. Air was placed in the tire, and I proceeded to the airport. At the airport they were able to switch out the vehicle, but it would take an hour for this to happen. This now 8 o'clock or so. This all started around 5 o'clock

I have a 22-month-old and an 8-year-old who are tired and hungry.
When we finally get the second vehicle the attendant stated you all barely made it look at the car. The car now had 2 flat tires on the passenger side and not even drivable. It we had been on the expressway her in Atlanta in the dark with my babies with 2 flat tires who knows what could have happened because we barely made it to the airport and the people at Firestone did not even see the second tire.

I went to the initial rental center on Jonesboro Rd in Union City and they did not understand my frustration after being sent on a dark expressway and not knowing that the repairs were not authorized because no one cared even to call. I requested the manager, but I was not given the opportunity to speak with him the gave me a card with the name Jarius Leavy on it. I to took photos of the vehicle to show him how the vehicle looked with two flat tires.

Desired outcome: Make contact with the center and informed them of my concerns and how dangerous this situation was and that they need to be more courteous and conscientious of the danger you are putting people in.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Customer service

This is a complaint about Enterprise employee Dounya. at Enterprise, 918B, Ocean St, Santa Cruz, CA for her abusive, insulting. public behavior toward me on 1/3/2023.

I am undergoing chemo for multiple myeloma & am under strict Dr.’s orders for bed rest. On Jan 3, 2023 I sent my housemate w/ my driver’s license & credit card to pick up the car I reserved (res #Y4PDKQ) while my car was having repairs. Dounya, after being fully informed of my medical condition, - refused to let my housemate pick up the car under any circumstances, insisting that I defy Dr.’s orders & pick up the car in person.

With much pain & effort, I got dressed and was driven to Enterprise, where Dounya refused to speak w/ me directly, addressing all her comments to my male housemate, despite repeatedly being asked to speak directly to me since I was renting the car & could not hear her otherwise.

She eventually rented me a car saying I should wait 5 min to get it. After waiting approx 15 miin & seeing later arrivals get their cars, I asked her how much longer it was likely to be before I got my rental. I asked the Q in a normal, polite voice while sitting in a chair approx 15’ from her (since it is difficult for me to walk) and the room was filled w/ Enterprise customers.

In a very loud angry yelling voice that was easily heard by everyone in the room, Dounya told me to stop asking her questions (this was my first ask), that I was very rude not to just quietly wait my turn and that I should wait outside if I couldn’t keep quiet and stop bothering her. Her tirade was so outrageous and publicly humiliating that the customer sitting next to me asked me if I was OK and if there was anything he could to help me. Three or four other customers also expressed their concern to me. I chose to wait outside in the rainy weather for my rental car.

Dounya clearly does not have the self-control or temperament for customer service work.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Unfortunate experience-reservation#Y4KJ0V

I am writing to express my disdain for the customer service I received at the 7747 University City Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28213-location. My claims adjuster with my insurance company made this reservation on my behalf after the unfortunate incident of having my car stolen. I have been in extreme distress over this occurrence as I watched the person that stole my vehicle drive away and then attempt to run me over as I tried to stop them. I was grateful that I had rental car coverage on my policy and once I was advised the reservation was in place, I quickly reached out to the direct location to schedule a pick-up for someone with the Enterprise staff to come get me from work. The local number never rang through to someone at that location. I kept getting a message advising that all circuits were busy. I called the general customer service number and was able to schedule the pick-up for 3 pm yesterday ([protected]-confirmation#). Due to the phone issues, I was never able to get through to anyone at that location, therefore, no one came to pick me up at the requested time nor notify me that the pick-up would not take place. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the agent that assisted me once I got a ride to retrieve my rental but this is highly unacceptable and extremely disappointing. I've done business with Enterprise on several occasions and this is by far the most upsetting experience.

Desired outcome: Discount on future rentals
