I went into the sky view location in Edmonton Alberta on June 8, 2017 around 1230pm. I bought about 10 mugs so when I went to pay I asked for a box for my mugs and not to mention I am 9 months pregnant and didn't want to haul bags around! Preston was the cashier and he said he doesn't deal with boxes and gave me a lot of attitude. I asked him to find out for me (there was no line up) and he mumbled this is a waste of time and he's not a stock boy but got on his intercom phone and yelled rudely for someone named Jay to "come to the front now"! He said a few times this was a waste of his time and I asked him what his problem was and again he said he's just wasting his time. He told me it's taking too long and we will be here for a while so I told him I can pay while we wait for the box as there was someone behind us and he responded by saying well you are holding up the line (there was one person now) and I responded by saying I told you I can pay right now and he mumbled something so I responded by telling him if he's going to continue to be rude I will be rude too and he told me I was a waste of time! I got very upset at this point but just laughed it off and he continued by saying he can make it so we don't get a box at all and my husband asked him why he is being so rude and he didn't respond. By this time Jay was packing up our cups and actually helping us so I left it alone. I will also mention he was so rude to the man in front of us as well and it didn't seem like he left happy either. I can tell you I have never been treated like this ever by anyone let alone for simply asking for a box! If he continues to work there and I go there again I will leave and go to dollarama! That is unacceptable behaviour and if you employ people like that and let them treat paying customers the way he treated me today and I can probably guarantee many others the same way you will lose a lot of your customers to competitors!

I visited your store #5559 in Killeen Texas. Upon walking into the store the first thing I noticed was all but one of the employees at the front by the first register talking loud and laughing... definitely not working. I continued shopping for about 15 minutes and they continued laughing and talking loud, so I decided to push record on my phone so that they couldn't deny this claim. One of the employees saw my light on my phone then all of a sudden they all started to work and left the front. One employee tried to act like she was doing something so she could see if I recorded them. I continued shopping noticing safety hazards and unstocked merchandise in the store that they could have been putting up. Anyways, I shop for about 15 more minutes then checked out, but upon checking out the manager came up to me and said " were you recording merchandise in our store"I told her " no I was recording merchandise in your store". I truly wasn't recording merchandise I was recording their behavior in a store with customers shopping. She then proceeded to say " she would call the police on me and I would be arrested." I politely walked out of the store and called the corporate office. I used my debit card at checkout just so they would know exactly who was working at that time. The only and I stress the only employee that was working was a young lady named Diamond. She deserves recognition she was nice and helpful. I don't like being threatened to have police called on me and I don't like walking into a loud disorderly store to shop. It was pathetic and disgusting for employees to talk about previous customers the was that they were and to be as loud as they were being on the clock. I called to ask about a product you all sell and was wondering if you had it in stock before I drove 20 min to your store. Judy answered the phone, very rude, she right away placed me on hold and then after I asked if she had the product I'm looking for she said she could not help me bc she was working the register. I asked if there was anyone else working that could help me or if she could place me back on hold until she could look. And VERY rude said no and hung up. I was ok to hold. Now I will go to target or another store and find what I need. Will never be back at your store.
complaint of retaliation by assistant manager
This document is for Human Resources: On or about 6pm of 5/28 I was written up for being outside in front of the location of my employ assisting customers with locked carts and answering questions. Apparently these activities were mis-interpreted as being on the clock not working. Once I'd discovered I'd been written up for violating policy one that everyone working there has;because I've seen them do it. I expressed myself rather openly, momentarily forgetting my surroundings, and was overheard by several people;unbeknownst to me at the time. The following day it was bought to me attention that I had been suspended pending termination and taken off the schedule. That to me feels personal because until that moment it was only a write-up. Not to mention Teonna did not work the night in question so I never addressed her directly about anything she's retaliating against me for speaking ill of her. In this same location I've witnessed associates steal money, drug usage and distribution, favortism, and even an actual fist fight between two associates that are currently still employed at this location. so I was somewhat confused when on 6/5 i was contacted by my store manager and told I was indeed terminated because i violated the companys policy on violence. I totally disagree with this fabrication in a case where someone is clearly abusing their managerial authority to retaliate against an employee for hurting their feelings.
To ensure that these actions are addressed and corrected for my future employment.

About 7:30 pm on june 5th i was in your store in covington kentucky. A woman who was shopping was approached by an older woman with grey hair i didnt get her name. She accused the woman of sticking stuff in her bag. Pretty much emberassing her ans badgering her as well. Was quite rude to the shopper.
Then, as i was in line checking out same employee came to me told me she was goibg to check my bag. People told her i was stickibg stuff inside. First, i do not take anything and second i was paying for my items. She threatened to call the police for absolutely nothing. Two people. In less than 15 mins and she was walking around the store putting stuff away. She was the only other employee working besides the cashier and feel like she was on some kind of power trip. Needless to say she was incorrect both times. Shes generally rude as im in that store daily. She cant just search peoples bags especially purses without seeing or catching them herself. She had been on her phobe talkibg about something illegal. Something needs to be done. Your store there is already a mess. Dirty and disorganized.

I had gone to the dollar tree in st cloud 100 E 13th street the night before to purchase tooth pastes and tooth brushes i had used coupons that night. The next day after my fiance had came home from work we had desides to go because the other dollar trees didnt have the tooth paste that we had purchased that night so we went to the register and the manager wayne had came because the cashier had a problem so he came and seen us again and had said you guys again and fixed the problem then leaned over and whispered in her ear and said ill tell you later i think that is rude of a manager to do that infront of a customer when the customer knows that they are talking about them i used to be a manager at a store so i think that is rude of your manager at that store.

I brought this product at your Dollar Tree store on Bird cage street in citrus Heights Ca. PLEASE do not use it. The fumes are toxin. I had the kitchen and living room well Ventalialeted and the fumes made me dizy, coughing and threw up!. It says nothing about bad fumes. But I should have knwn something fishy as it is made in CHINA! Don't you care more about your customers than to sell this crappy product that can make people and animals sick!

Today 6/3/2017 I went to dollar tree to purchase some stuff as I am walk-in thru the isles I see 13 cases of lucky charms treats the boxes wore pile on top of each other I pick it up look at it seems like a great deal as the boxes stated not label for individual sale. Great. I make my way to check out the nice young lady rings my items up she scan the box and it scans for a $1 but she said before she continues to scan the reminding 5 boxes that she has to ask the manager if this is right because it was to good to be true. I told her go ahead and I pointed out that the box was marked not labeled for individual sale and also as she could see the whole box scan. The manager at the time was ringing up a costumer and left her position to come over so grab all my boxes saying that no I couldn't buy them for a dollar that they wore individual for a dollar I told her that a day prior I had bough rice crispie treats for a $1. If the box scanned what was the problem well she completely ignore me and just grabbed all the boxes as she was walking away with an attitude. She took the boxes to the office. My thoughts she didn't want me to buy them so she could buy them. I don't see what is the problem of selling an item that cleanly scanned. I am a really good costumer I come in any where from 3 to 5 times a week and minimum I spend is $40 how can I get treated like this. The box states not for individual sell the box it self scanned for a dollar. So why was I deny the opportunity of purchasing it.

Yesterday, June 1st 2017, thursday around 7 pm, i went to this dollar tree store in Peabody Rd., Vacaville, Ca. I've been looking inside the store a 2017 calendar in their office/stationary section. I kept looking but i can't find & i know that they usually has it. So while i kept looking, i saw a sales lady named, VALERIE, caucasian. I approached her nicely if just in case they put their 2017 calendar in a different shelves. So she told me to look at the right side in the front area where all the kitchen gadgets are. So i went there & look but i still didn't see it. I tried to ask the other employee but they were busy. So i went back to VALERIE & told her that i really can't find it & i asked her nicely to point where are their 2017 calendar. She went with me to look where to find it but she's complaining that she was very busy & mumbles a lot. Then when she pointed to me where it was, surprisingly she picked up the colander & told me "i've been telling you it's here". So i told her, that's not the one i am looking. I've been looking for 2017 calendar. And she answered me that she can not understand my accent & started arguing with me & telling me i don't know how to pronounce the word. And kept insulting me with her angry voice. And i told her she's been rude to a customer like me & doesn't have a good customer service, no respect & very discourteous. So i ask her what is her name & i want to address this racist female employee named, VALERIE. And she answered me back "oh make sure you know how to spell my name".
This incident is totally not acceptable, no manners very racist. I was very upset & shocked the way this employee acted towards me as a customer.

Staff is very rude. Went into store with my child who is 4. And walking around the store the associate Jill greenery was rude each encounter. She was stocking the selves and we were in here way throughout the store. As an excited 4 year old was in the toy section. The walking through the store and another associate came around the corner and almost hit my daughter with the chart we jumped back and knocked over a card board display. As I went to help pick it up the lady said don't worry about it really I got it. So we continued to walk through the store. And then I hear Jill say vary loud. "Knock something over and can't pick it up. Why can't people watch there kids. Which was not the case. I walked over and asked for her name and she said Jill Freeney call corporate they don't care and they won't do anything. So myself and my child went to check out and when I asked the cashier who is the store manager janelle said I'm the assistant store manager and Jill is the other one. I said okay well what is the corporate phone number she said don't bother they don't care. As we walked out of the store Jill said loudly again watch your child.

The general manager at the holton Kansas store is very rude to customers and employees. In my personal opinion he is not fit to be in management. For example a friend of mine went to buy a balloon for her sons birthday and he yelled at her because she wanted a balloon aired up and told her that there were others balloons to choose from cuz it cost them money every time the air up a balloon And him to be very racist. I will not ship there as long as he is manager there.

I go to the dollar tree often to get supplies for my children's school project's. I was there today when the store manager was very rude to the cashier. Yelling at her to get the phone when she had a line of customer's. That is not the way to a MANAGER should act, especially in front of customer's. Not only does it show the lack of respect but also a lack of character. No employee should be treated this way NO matter what! This is not the first time I've seen this behavior here. One of the main reasons why i drive a tad further to this one is because of the cashier renae. She has good customer service skills. She always greets with a smile and remembers returning customers. This time i just had to say something.

I was in line and after 2 customers before me and waiting 5 mins the girls says cash only in this line and I said why and she said her debit machine was broken.and i said why dont you post it or move to a different register and she said she said it over the speaker in which i did not hear he our see her do. My husband and I are seniors on fixed income. We are customers of various Dollar Tree Stores for many years. Never had a problem until May 24, 2017.
I made a credit card purchase around 2:45 PM that day. My husband walked into the store and said he wanted 3 more items. I waited near the cashier's counter. He went to a different counter - just opened up by a cashier. I saw her while she rang up the 3 items and said $ 3.17. He handed her a $20 bill and said to her OUT OF A $20 BILL PLEASE.
This cashier made an error and rang it up as $5. She closed the register and handed him $ 1.83. He immediately corrected her saying she owned him $16.83. The cashier said, that she had a long day, was tired and not paying attention.
She called over the Assistant Manager. I explained what happened. She took the drawer into a room. Came back in a few minutes and said that the DRAWER DID NOT WEIGH OVER. This rude woman was not interested in any explantion we could give. She wanted us to leave the store. I said I am not leaving without correct change.
She called over the Manager, who was just as rude and miserable to deal with. I explained that the $20 was the only money my husband had. I put it in his wallet and saw him give it to the cashier. She told us to leave.
I said, YOU HAD BETTER CALL THE POLICE TO STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT.
The police came, but said they could not make the store give us the money.
The police escorted us outside because those arrogant managers wanted us out. FINE WAY TO TREAT LONG TIME CUSTOMERS.
We did file a police report, but the police told us JUST DON'T SHOP THERE ANYMORE. JUST FORGET ABOUT IT.
I asked him to get, from the manager the toll free number of the corporate office. They refused to give the number nor address of their corporate office.
All we got was a receipt and $ 1.83.
To this day, I have been calling and leaving messages for the Regional Manager. This Mark Dillman finally called back yesterday, and said he was going to look at a video tape to see what happened. I asked to see that video tape to prove it was not tampered with.
He was NOT appologetic in any way. I feel he did not believe us. Would not give us the benefit of the doubt and simply does not care if they lose a long time customer.
That survey you can enter by phone or online is a JOKE. They act like they care about the customer, but in fact, they do not.
I will not lose $15.00 and will continue this fight.
How odd that a multi-million dollar corporatation - Dollar Tree Stores - would attempt to steal $15 from senior citizens living month to month on social security.
A word to the wise. If you do shop at any Dollar Tree, WATCH YOUR WALLET. Count your change and make sure their cashiers know what bill amount you gave them.

I am a grandmother of 9 I have 4 grandchildren living with me. I am a manager in retail and have been in retail for 28 years. I know my customer service and how to treat customers.this took place in the Cornelia ga. Store Last week on May 19th after working all day my grandson and I went grocery shopping. I have to watch every dollar we spend, my husband is disabled and my income has to go a long way. After selecting our item my grandson was getting a head ache and was hungry so we grabbed a drink and some snacks too. When the cashier rang our item and I slid my EBT card it wouldn't work. I ask her to key it in, "oh we don't do that" and she then in a loud voice yelled to the next cashier, we don't key in EBT cards do we? She said no. I was embarrassed and infuriated. I was spending almost 70 dollars and had some cash items to. She was very unprofessional. I work in a little country store in the middle of nowhere. We can key in the cards that won't slide, I've never worked nor shopped anywhere that could not do this. So needless to say my grandson got nothing and you have lost our business. I was so excited to see the changes but they are just to rude and also very slow always long lines.

Three days ago your cashier Kajha at the Decker blvd Columbia, SC store #463 had an attitude with me while i was asking her a simple question. She cursed at me and threaten to fight me if i approach her again while she is taking her break again. She proceeded back on the telephone and said and i quote "This white [censor] is interrupting our call bae i am sorry about that." I have been a coming to this store for years and never have i been as disrespected as she has done to me. I request she be terminated immediately.
