CVS Pharmacy always gives you a $2.00 to $5.00 off coupon when you buy certain products. I went there today to buy conditioner. I had a $2.00 of coupon. The clerk said that my visa card was not the same as the one on the coupon. So? My boyfriend gave it to me. She asked
"What's his card number?" I replied, "I don't know and it's none of your business!" She then asked "What's his phone number?" I then asked, "Is this $2.00 off coupon to confusing for you? Do you want what bank he works with? Or how about how many children he has?" She then calls the MANAGER to the front counter! You've got to be kidding me! I looked at him and said, "Love your hiring experience! Give me the 2 bucks off, that way when I tell my friends what I just went through, they'll clue in and shop somewhere else."
CVS sucks!

It's common sense, people. Like baker 46 said, "Anyone can dig through the trash". I don't work at CVS, but a policy is a policy. What, you're going to jeoperdize someones job for 2 bucks? Get real. Better yet, read between the fine lines and catch a clue!
Any retailer who has discount cards or coupons, are going to be sure their butts are covered. Wouldn't you? By the way, GET YOUR OWN CVS CARD!

Are you numb? They asked for you CVS not Visa card. And Store coupons are only allowed when used in conjunction with the CVS card they were produced for. Your ignorance is where the issue was.

No matter what we say Dru is not going to listen to anyone that doesnt agree with them. Even after numerous posts on here explaining to DRU that they wanted a phone number not a credit card number he/she doesnt believe it. I also work for a CVS in PA. Sorry Dru if the coupon is not attached to your card, we are not going to risk our jobs just so you can be $2 richer.

You must be confused, CVS does not put your insurance companies name and phone number on your prescription bottle. LMFAO. You either (a) went to another pharmacy and you think its CVS (b) are seeing things (c) making up the whole thing

haha. these people. They don't understand it's coupon fraud when you're doing this. These cashiers and Managers have to manually input every coupon for every customer who complains about this. Their loss prevention managers (corporate) reviews this weekly, and jobs are on the line here. People get fired over this stuff every day from this company. Read the fine print, don't just assume. It's to the customers that use their card. Obviously if you don't shop there enough, or use your card, or even care about having a card, why would you complain about not being able to use a coupon?

Your an idiot. It has nothing to do with your visa card you misunderstood. The coupon is attached to 1 CVS card you need either that CVS card or that CVS cards phone number to use the coupon. Its company policy get over it and yourself.

The reason the clerk was asking for his phone number is because those coupons are attached to the specific CVS card that earned the reward. You cannot just use anyone's coupons...you have to have the CVS card or phone number attached to the CVS card to take advantage of the reward. The clerk wasn't saying that the coupon wasn't attached to your visa card...coupons aren't attached to credit cards. They were saying that it is not attached to the CVS card you had given them to scan. CVS policy doesn't allow people to use coupons unless they have the card or phone number that earned the reward. I should know...I work there.

All you had to do was READ the coupon. It explains you have to the same CVS card. She asked what the phone number was so she could look up your boyfriend's CVS card number and give you the discount. But you decided to instead be a ### about it. So, first strike was not understanding how a coupon worked. Second strike was the inability to understand when someone is still trying to help you. Third strike was being a [censored] to the manager. Three strikes, you're a ###.

CVS has a strict coupon redemption policy, the Extracare Card Number has to match what's on the coupon. If they don't and the cashier redeems it anyway, she could face possible termination, because they consider it coupon fraud

Wow, do you not know that those coupons are not-transferable? If your boyfriend used his CVS card and got that coupon, that coupon isn't going to work for anyone else's CVS card.

You are a dumb a**! They aren't asking you for your Visa number they are asking you for the CVS card. Coupons need to match the card it is attached too. Otherwise people would just dig through the trash for any of them! The coupons are to reward loyal customers. Why are you so stupid you don't get this?!?!?!?

Was this a CVS store coupon or a product coupon? CVS store coupons, extra care bucks, etc. all have numbers on them that match your extra care card number. How did you VISA card number come into play here?
