CVS review: $200 vanilla gift card

I purchased a Vanilla Gift Card for my son's 17th birthday on August 24th, 2021 at the CVS at 735 Harding Place in Nashville, TN. The receipt says transaction #8134; register #4. My son went onto Amazon several nights later to purchase basketball jerseys. He was kicked off the sight after selected 3-4 jerseys worth somewhere around $120. He then went back into the site and noticed his card balance was zero. We looked at it a few more times and there was indeed zero balance on the card. We tried again a few days later and the card was simply unusable. I registered a complaint with both Vanilla and CVS on September 1st. This was my son's birthday present. It's now September 17th - no phones calls to us, no refund, no birthday gift for my son. I've called CVS & Vanilla several times. No one is disputed my claim. They just don't want to do anyting about it.
