I am dealing with the same thing with Chase Home Finance. This loan modification process has been going on for 11 months! At the beginning of the loan mod process - They never informed me that the loan modification payments would be considered less than an actual payment, thus making me have "rolling lates" - consistent late payments. Now my credit is even worse. Actually, I could have paid the actual mortgage payment when I started the process, but they kept telling me to "keep making the trial payments - keep sending them in." The loan mod process is still not complete! I had no idea about predatory refinancing/ or loan modifying until now.
Just 2 months ago, They denied my loan mod for "failure to provide documents" (which is BS I've sent them many, many, many documents 100 times over) and then they have the gumption to mail a letter denying my loan mod - to the property address. The only thing is that I don't live at the property address! It is a rental (I'm living with my boyfriend because I can't afford the payments) my tenant lives there. So the letter was returned to chase. I never saw that letter ever. A month later, the next thing I see is an Accelerated Foreclosure letter sent to my Mailing Address (where I actually live and they know I live there!) stating that I haven't made a payment in 15 months! This is untrue as I have been making the advised montly "trial payments" based on their guidance. Only the trial payments are less than optimal and not a full payment - leading to delinquency!

So, when if/when I finally get a new interest rate with this Phantom Loan Mod- it will be based on a higher rate based on poor credit showing "delinquent rolling lates." Thank you, Chase, for messing up my credit! You're the BEST!

The nightmare of Chase Bank...
In December of 2017, I found out I was losing my job as a self employed medical transcriptionist, working from home due to car accident related injuries. I had this job for 8 years. We contacted Chase, our mortgage holder (for the small older home we bought in 2017 before the housing market fell), to tell them what was about to happen to be proactive so we would not run into any credit problems and have them help us with an easy solution. HA HA.
It's been 16 months. If anyone I knew did our jobs the way Chase did, they would all be fired. The reason I have lost my job as a medical transcriptionist is because of the wonderful government’s involvement of the EMR systems that doctors must use for their medical records. This takes away the jobs of transcriptionists, and is a faulty system to say the least. Doctors should be treating patients, not having their nose in a computer. So the government sticks their nose into medical records, and it’s a mess. Well, it can’t be any worse than what they have done with the mortgages…thank you Chase. The head of Chase has been very vocal about how he doesn’t approve or agree with the HAMP program because people have signed a contract (i.e., mortgage) and they must pay it and that’s his thing. (and he gets a $19 million pay raise)...Well, he had no problem taking the billions of dollars from the government did he? Couldn’t put his hand out fast enough. And our tax dollars bailed them out. Oh, and we were also told during this time not to pay any mortgage (when I asked if we could be a reduced amount) because I was told if we could pay, then we didn't need help.
Right before I found out about my job, I had a car accident, injuring my neck. So we’ve had tons of medical bills. Physical therapy, surgery, co-pays, portions insurance doesn’t pay. Our medical bills have been running around $1200-$1500 a month. We told Chase that too. And that is not going to change anytime soon, thank you lady who doesn’t know red means stop.
As soon as I knew I was losing my job, I called to say – look – what we can we do about our mortgage? So we talked about the HAMP program and we did all we had to do to apply. Copying TONS of papers, UPSing the package of information ($10 of copying, $49 for UPS times seven because of Chase's incompetence, losing paperwork, allowing it to "expire" (and we have found out that’s the norm). We called them every week. Every blessed week. I have a list of names longer than the nations that we spoke with. As stated above, from department to department to department, each individual telling us something completely different. Every week. They don’t know what color their own underwear is. After being told time and time again that we had no “relationship manager”, our paperwork finally “expired” and we had to reapply. So we went through it again. Went through the same mess again – week after week after week as my paycheck got lower and lower. We are now making about $3000 less a month and can’t make our mortgage payments. Our house isn’t big. It’s an old style farmhouse that we have put $50, 000 in to fix up (my adorable kitchen 8 x 8). We weren’t the people who bought a house out of our means.
Anyhow. After the second time of the paperwork expiring, my husband went nuts and told them this had to be resolved that very day. Now this was 6 months into the process. Maybe two weeks later, we finally got a relationship manager. Had to send ALL OF THE PAPERWORK AGAIN…..Each time, copying fees, UPsing fees. Ok so now because of Chase’s delay, we were 8 months behind on our mortgage. Our credit is toast. And guess what? One Friday, we finally got a package from Chase. Yeah, they lowered our mortgage $75 a month. What a modification. That helps. How much did they get of OUR taxpayer money to help people in need? Really? What a freaking slap in the face. Shame on them. Our relationship manager, Elizabeth, told us if this modification was not to our satisfaction, we should reapply, and we did, and heard nothing. Now realize that during this time, Chase either lost our paperwork or let it expire 7 times. We had to continually reapply. During this time, my pay steadily declined as I was losing my job progressively. Because of Chase's delay (16 months), our credit it beyond repair. Can we even rent anywhere? Will anyone even give us a chance? I couldn't even charge a hot dog at this point the way Chase has destroyed our credit.
It's now April of 2017. We still have heard nothing. We have gotten letters from Chase stating they are working on our modification (about every three days), even from people who when you call their number and extension, don’t exist at Chase. We have gotten a letter stating that foreclosure will start on a specific date. We were then, two days later, informed they were still working on our modification. Then we were notified by a congressman’s office that we contacted, that we were not approved because we didn’t have enough income. NO KIDDING. That’s why we need a modification. BUT, when we contacted Chase for about the 899th time, we were told that was incorrect, and they were still working on our modification. Carol, the woman my husband has spoken with twice now (cause we actually have her extension) says that the foreclosure information is wrong because they are still working on it and she emailed the underwriter to see the status. I was told that in February of 2017! OMW - you need Prozac to deal with this incompetence. Christopher Elkins - a name on so many letters. We've been told to call - never calls back even though his voice mail says he will return your call within 24-48 business hours. I'm thinking hours means years? (or he is another phantom name of a person who doesn’t exist). Another two letters, we contacted that woman only to be told she doesn't work for Chase. Are you flipping kidding me? So now, 16 months into this mess, we are still here. Can they be anymore incompetent? They are a joke. Yet when they asked for help, we taxpayers had to bail them out. What can be done about this mess? So guess what - this is going to TV stations, congressmen, senators, talk show hosts, it's going everywhere that has a mailing address. And I can only pray it helps us and the hundreds of thousands of other people in the same predicament.

So now an addendum that will blow your minds...Yesterday, on 4/20/2017, we received two letters from the magnificent Chase. One letter was dated 4/12, from the same infamous Tosha Hayes stating again (it's the same flipping letter we have about 10 copies of with different dates) that they are working on it and we will have an answer within 15 days. Remember- she doesn't exist. Ok it's only been 16 months. Then another letter dated 4/16, stating that no, we are denied. We are not qualified for a modification. We will lose our home. We have 30 days to contact them or they will begin foreclosure. So I called them and spoke with a woman named Jen, who certainly seemed like she had a brain. She said thatletter is the final determination. Our mortgage doesn't qualify for a modification. So unless we begin making more money quickly, there is no other alternative but to do a short sale. Now keep in mind, we called Chase the day we found out I was losing my job because we wanted to avoid the credit trash we have become, and to keep our home. 16 months later, 80, 000 phone calls, stress and anxiety that would make your head spin, we are losing it anyway. Way to go Chase. I realize I had probably repeated myself and been a little run on, but that's the way we feel at this point. Someone needs to step up to the plate and hold these people accountable for the lives they are destroying.

Addendum: Ok – so Chase has decided now that we don’t make enough money to help us. We don’t make enough money for a modification. Ummm duh – that’s the problem. Our income has gone done because all I could find was part-time work making a lot less money. That’s why you need a modification. I could give you the countless names we have spoken to in the last two months (with dates and details of the conversation), but our choices are foreclosure or short sale (or deed in lieu of). Needless to say, no realtors want to touch a short sale with Chase – imagine that! They know you can’t talk to anyone. That no one ever gets back to you, and that it’s impossible to deal with them. Why would a potential buyer want to deal with that? And now we read that Chase is willing to pay over $11 million in penalties, rather than help people with modifications? Really? How is any of this legal? Our tax dollars bailed them out? The words I could use for these people are not words a lady should use. But trust me, they are on the tip of my lips should you want to know what they are. After consulting our realtor and then a lawyer, our house is on the market. We will see what happens. Nothing has sold in our area in forever. We have 10 homes for sale in a ½ mile radius – two that were on the market for over a year. Chase – if that’s what you want – I guess that is what you get cause our government doesn’t seem to be able to stop you. HUD is a waste. Meeting with them got our hopes up only to have them to absolutely nothing. Again – couldn’t return phone calls or follow through with what they said they would do. It’s no wonder people go postal. Do you know that when we talked with the “loss mitigation” department of Chase the one time (many many many times, more times than I care to remember), we were told that when we do a short sale, they will assume the house and take the keys. So we found a place to rent, sold furniture, got rid of things (smaller house), etc., . only to have Chase tell us – oh no – that’s not right. You are responsible for the house. You need to keep the utilities on, cut the grass, etc. Really? Cause we are making less money so how could we do that? Could any of you maybe know what you are talking about before you talk to humans? Shame on all of them. So we can’t take the rental. So if our house should sell, who knows where we will go with the credit Chase has caused us to have.
When calling Chase, they tell us we are nowhere near foreclosure. It’s been over 17 months with this roller coaster with Chase destroying our credit. Our house is worth nowhere near what we owe on it, and sadly, we put over $50, 000 into it. And it’s not even worth what we paid for it, much less what we put into it. Only in America.
And because the government screwed with the health care system so badly, heaven only knows when I will ever find a medical transcription job getting paid a salary whereby we can have a house again. I don’t ever see it happening. Work being done by computers in all areas of employment, not just my field. Work being outsourced (and they wonder why there is a high unemployment rate?). Maybe I should run the country……
So we are just updating and passing on what is happening in the real world. Hope you take the time to read this. Something needs to be done and soon. There is only so much Xanax in the world to help people deal with this mess.

My mortgage was sold to Chase and I have been miserable ever since. We used to mail in our payments but noticed we started accumulating late fees because they wait to post the payments to your account. Then we started paying them through THEIR website, and it was the same deal took up to 7 days for it to post to the account. Finally, set up bank to bank bill pay for them; and eventhough the money is taken from my account the same day it doesn't post on Chase's side for up to a week. Chase had the nerve to tell me it was the limitations of their systems that causes the delay and that it is my responsibility to send my payments in sooner. WTF! Their system has no problem slapping me with late fees or sending me late payment notices, calling me late at night - they even called me on CHRISTMAS! BUT our account was never actually behind because we always submitted our payments. They are worse than the mofia. My husband and I are refinancing just to get away from Chase.

I was just approved for a permanent loan modification in March 2017. I started the process in Jan. 2017. What made a difference in processing the paperwork was going to a Chase branch and having the branch fax the paperwork & provide a receipt. The Chase employee also called the fax recipient to confirm the paperwork was received & noted the name of the person she spoke with. That got the ball rolling.

I suggest you watch the documentary, Inside Job. You can rent it at a video outlet, buy it online on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Inside-Job-Matt-Damon/dp/B0041KKYBA) or order it if you belong to Netflix. The film explains the whole mortgage mess. Often times, mortgages have been bundled with good, bad, and so-so loans and SOLD to INVESTORS. It's the investors who have the last say as to whether or not your mod will be approved. Keep playing the game, call every other day, become a nuisance so that they tend to your case. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I just had my run in with Rikki Trago at Chase Home Finance. I paid off my home mortgage over the last couple of months. The Customer Service errors were so varied, that I filed a complaint with the AJ of the State of Oregon. Chase received this complaint and sent their attack dog, Rikki Trago. In her letter to me she stated "Chase's goal is to provide the highest level of quality service", yet her attack was at me. numerous times she used the word 'you' as if I was the reason for all the problems. Statements like "You are confused." You don't understand." It seems to me that they were the one's confused. I little apology and using 'We' statements are how I would think executives should be trained to handle their errors. I see why all these wonderful executives at Chase require their substantial bonuses. Us small people don't matter to them. I hope the back isn’t too big to fail as with this kind of treatment to their customers, they won’t be around for long. Or will we need to bail them out again so they can blame the problems on normal people instead of admitting they made a mistake.

Our balloon mortgage matured 6/08. (At the time, we were w/ Washington Mutual who was bought out by Chase.) We were unaware that our mortgage was going to mature. The mortgage maturity caused the bank to cancel our automatic monthly withdrawal. We were notified in 8/08 about the past due payments & worked with Sherry Blisset at Chase in IL to modify the loan & reinstate monthly withdrawal from our bank account for payment who told us that this was a permanent fix. This 'fix' lasted only a few months when the withdrawals were again cancelled without our knowledge or consent.
We were notified several months later that our loan was again past due & we had to start the paperwork & loan modification all over again. (The paperwork & loan modifications take 20-30+ hours on the phone over several weeks w/ min. 10 people before you are transferred to the correct department. A colossal waste of time & money.) The 'permanent fix' & reinstated monthly withdrawal for mortgage payment again only lasted a few months when it was unexpectedly cancelled without our knowledge or consent, of which we were notified in October 2017.
For the third time, I have already spent over 60 hours on the telephone with numerous, numerous people trying to GIVE CHASE MONEY & fix our loan so that we can continue to make payments. The first nine people that I spoke with all said the same thing- They had no idea why, but they were unable to take any money from me, they could see the problem but had no idea how to fix it and also had absolutely no idea who I could speak with to fix the problem. They even acknowledged that while I am begging them to make a payment & they are refusing to take it, that they were going to continue to report the delinquent account to the credit agencies which is significantly negatively affecting overall credit scores & line of credit with our credit cards. The Loan modification department continues to tell us that we need to modify our loan. We have done this TWICE and it has not been a permanent fix either time. Filling out all of the same paperwork and submitting it for a THIRD time will most likely not be a permanent fix either. We would like a PERMANENT FIX.
So in a nut shell, we owe Chase money for our mortgage payments- I have repeatedly tried to give Chase the money owed- They refuse to take my money, don't know how to help or who can help fix my account and continue to report me to the credit agencies & seriously mess up my credit. We continue on-going attempts to work with Chase, currently with no positive outcome.
Our Desired outcome:
1. We would like to be able to make payments to Chase to have our account balance up to date. (How many people do you know who BEG to make their mortgage payment?)
2. We would like to have our mortgage PERMANENTLY 'fixed' so we are not running into the same problem every few months.
3. We would like to have the monthly payment withdrawal PERMANENTLY reinstated so that we can continue to make our mortgage payments ON TIME from our Chase bank account.
4. Most importantly, we would also like Chase to update the reporting with the credit agencies (going back over the last 1 + years) so that our credit is not negatively affected.
Please help us! We WANT to pay our mortgage and are devastated by the effect this (and the last two times this happened) is having on our credit. Prior to this, we did not have any negative marks on our credit reports. This is causing significant damage & we have no control & no way to fix our damaged credit which will haunt us for the next 7-10 years.

If anyone has any lawsuits going or can offer any advice... That would be amazing.

I am in the same exact boat with Chase, we were 4 payments behind because of an emergency surgery and recouperation time for my husband! We sent in all the paperwork in November of 2017 for the modification and got a confirmation letter in the mail. In April of 2017 we got our foreclosure notice, I had continued as instructed to make payments on the loan, so that we never fell any further behind and when I called them I was asked by a snotty rep "when did you supposedly submit the modification paperwork." I told her and low and behold they found them and told us that they had somehow never been assigned to a worker. I asked that since we had done everything we had been told including making our payments and not falling any further behind to please pull us out of foreclosure and I was told they could not. So we had to resubmit a new more current modification request. We did that thru a counselor and kept getting the same requests, we need this or that and it was almost always the same documents. This went on for months, I told them that we are getting further and further behind and was told not to worry about that either. Well as of Christmas we were denied our modification because we make to much for the modificatin program. I told them we only had a temporary problem and could make our mortgage payment. Now we are a year behind and they want us to catch up all of our payments to them or lose our house. Well during this process we got hit by a tornado and our roof had to be replaced. They refuse to sign off the check to get the roof fixed, we basically were told that they would keep the check if we sent it in so now we are in a catch 22 situation. Our roof started leaking so we had to take the money we had set aside for payments and then some to get the roof fixed. It has been a nightmare. I am at the end of my rope and do not know what to do, I have a special needs child that we adopted a few years ago. Its not so easy to pick up and move when you have been in the house for 10 years and have equity in it too. I guess that is why they don't want to work with us cause they may get their money back out of it. But I wouldn't count on it if I were them since there is still work inside that has to be done in order to sell it. We have had to tear out flooring and all kinds of stuff since the roof started leaking because they would not release the insurance check. And guess what there is no more money to fix those things, if they had just let us have the money to fix the roof before it started leaking we would have had the money for a good chunk of the payments. Now we don't know what to do. It is a sad thing for a human to sit and think to themselves that well "I have life insurance that could pay the house off." My kids need me and I would never do anything so stupid as to hurt myself but I just can not get over what Chase has reduced my thoughts to...

I am guessing the original issue here was that you got a form letter from Chase indicating you did not have enough insurance coverage. Failure to act on your part would result in their setting up an escrow account and your having to buy insurance from Chase.

This happened to me every six months for about two and a half years. Every time, my very long-suffering agent at State Farm contacted Chase and confirmed that I did, in fact, have enough insurance.

The form letter they send indicates that you should have insurance equal to one of three options. None of the options gives an exact dollar amount, but is based on your property value or on the mortgage balance. Chase does not list what they think your property value is, so it is hard to determine why they think you don't have enough.

It was something of a mystery to me that I began getting these notices just about the time I nearly had my loan paid off. Why Chase would be concerned that I have my home covered to 80% of its value, when the amount they were into it for was far less than that is beyond me. Even my insurance agent couldn't understand why they cared whether I had any more coverage than needed to pay them off. Just looking out for my best interests, I guess.

Fortunately, due to another escrow-fraud issue with Chase which took about six months total to clear, I was able to pay them off and get away from them altogether, or I have no doubt I'd have gotten at least two more lack-of-insurance letters from them by now.

Again, I think Chase is "trolling" for escrows, and I suspect they are doing it primarily on older loans that are almost paid off, perhaps with the hopes they are dealing with "senior" citizens who won't notice or who won't put up much of a fight. I wish someone would investigate this.

I agree with the complaints against Chase Home Finance. I have had the same problems with lost documents, lack of communication among their own offices/employees, extremely slow response time, disorganization and saying I owe what I don't owe. I am very much interested in a class action suit against them.

They are doing the exact same thing to me. It's like I was reading a posting I wrote about CHASE MODIFICATION PROGRAM. I can afford my home and make pymts...but they told me not tooo, because that would mess up the modification process...now its been almost 2yrs...8 representatives later, and $20, 000 behind. They just started the process over "again" and a foreclosure date has been set...I feel helpless cause I can afford my monthly payments. Sooo fustrating! I agree a Class action suit do need to be filed. Something is very corrupt on how they are handle the modification process.

Hello I was wondering if you located any class action suits against Chase I had the same thing happen to me. the phone number to the person I worked with now no longer accepts voicemails and noone has any way of locating the person who was working on my modification. They also took the pre mod payments from me. They also recently took a settlement offer from me and still have not released my property.

Chase/ JP Morgan as whole sucks.. Their credit cards are taxing, their Health Care plan has tons of hidden fees and now their home loans take advantage! Oh!. Would you like to open a checking account now! Look at this complaint posted on another web site.
http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=60783
All this complaining and yet we still support these banks.. Stop using them and making them more wealthy, find a little small community bank in your neighborhood and put your money there.. They are also protected by FDIC, worried about the fees because your small bank does not have many branches? Most small banks have a fee reimbursement and if not, well stop at you small community bank on the way out of town and grab some of your money! Stop using these banks that take advantage of you.. I did.

You need to talk to the Commissioner of Banks from your state. They will need third party authorization to talk to Chase and you need to talk to a state approved Financial Institution. Chase has been stealing from us and a lot of other folks in this country. I hope you have all receipts. Always write down the person's name you talk to and if possible record the conversation. It may be against the law but so is stealing from consumers.

yes i am one of those people whom chase had given a loan modification with my new payment starting march 1 2017. even though we abided by the agreement and made our payments on time . chase called us nine month after we modified and told us we were nine month delingqent.my husband and i tried in vain to find out what went wrong.for them not to honer the contract but they will not give us an answer.we made a customer complaint to the department treasury . the contacted chase on our behalf which resulted in some lady calling us from the executive resolution group at chase and left a number to call her . i have been calling that number and leaving messages for days, i am still waiting for her call.
Through out this hole ordeal the only calls we have gotten from is to ask us for money.the kicker ;; we are now served with foreclosure notice.

It has come to my attantion that Chase loss drafts are not even handle by Chase they are handled by a third party vendor Assurant in Duluth Georgia, the employees of this company are rude down to the managaers you aske for help and it gets you no where, they send out ridiculous letters that give inaccurate and misleading information. I hold a mortgage with Chase and after my experience with the loss drafts department I am in the process of refinancing and I urge you all to do the same, How can I rest assured that y home mortgage is with a competant compay wne they trust the handling of my loss draft to such an incompetant group of processors.

I applied for a home loan modification ACCORDING to the PRESIDENT both Chase and Wells Fargo are the banks immediately honoring this. I applied in March, it is not October - I have made so many calls, faxes but for months no one responded. I esclated it to the top and was told my information was all LOST! How could they delete it from their computers?

Now I am on unemployment extension and I dont qualify anymore for this modification. My original paperwork to them included ALL they needed for it to be approved. It is a joke!

Stop complaining; you essentially "lied" with your no income/asset verification loan to literally steal money from the bank when you had no means to pay it back. You are a contributing factor to this financial crisis; why didn't her or your parents give you the money to start the business? Hmmmmmmmm...talent is not too difficult to spot. Best of luck with your job search...I wish you luck due to lack of talent.

LMAO; have fun refinancing that other property with your delinquencies! Ignorance is no excuse for irresponsibility. An extra $130? Are you kidding me; pawn some of the superficial purchases you have made over the past few years...I'd rather have a roof over my head.

In times like these, you need someone to listen to your side and make the correction for you to get your name cleared of this error that you did not committ. Have you tried Pre-Paid Legal services they handle issues such as yours. www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/ajcalvo

Thats crazy these big companies just do what ever they want, when ever they want! I bet youve called a tons of times and they're just giving you the run around. I was going thru a similar issue with Bank of America and my friend told me about this company called Pre-paid Legal Services. I looked up the website www.prepaidlegal.com/ajcalvo after that they took care of everything i recommend Pre-paid Legal for everyone

Good Luck

You dumb ###! If you read your bankruptcy documentation, you'll see that a creditor is not allowed to contact you or collect during your bankruptcy. Also, if you did a Chapter 7 and did not reaffirm, you'll NEVER receive a statement again, as it can be interpreted as a form of collection.

Next time you file for a bankruptcy, why don't you read what you sign?

I am a chase home finance collector and I totally disagree with what is being said. It's not always the collector that is on defensive a lot of the times it is the homeowner because they are in a bad situation they take it out on the collectors when we attempt to collect a debt that is due. You have to understand I talk to at least 100 people a day who has a million excuses and reasons why they can't pay or they are looking for ways to be allowed to continue to let their debt go unpaid without any penalties or responsability! the fact is no one really cares about your personal problem people can empathize however no one cares because when you signed the contract to purchase your home there is no clause that states your debit will be forgiven simply because you fell on hard times or you over extended yourself and did not save any money for if and when hard times would come.

People who call also do not have any type of phone etiquette they call up on cheap as cell phones where there is so much static and interference or you cant hear anything they are saying I do not take these people serious because this is their mortgage they should call when there are no distractions and in a place where both parties can hear and negotiate and resolve the debt.

I am so damn tired of hearing people who cant pay their debt and want to blame everybody else. They are rude, they don't understand, they hurt my feeling, they yelled at me the truth it most of the time it is the debtor that initiate these actions, When the collectors try to do their job and resolve the debit and try to work with you all you want to do is argue because what they are telling you is the truth and you dont want to except it and you know I am telling the truth now.

As far as how often calls are made the calls are made from a computerized auto dialer and I will admit if the person working the account does not remember to status the right code on the computer to not call for 5 to 7 days you might get another call I will admit this is very frustrating for the debtor and the collector, collectors do not want to waste their time calling someone back who is refusing to pay or resolve their debt because that could be a call to a debtor that wants to resolve and make payment arrangements to bring their account to a current status.

So in my opinion debt collector have a job to do and it is people like yourselves that make the job frustrating and difficult so the next time you complain about debt collectors ask yourself am I the reason why they are so rude?

I totally agree. I worked for a highline automotive dealership whos only soarce of finance is Chase Automotive Financial. I lost my job due to the fact that this lousey group wouldnt finance anyone even when they had impecable credit. I myself had my pre-owned car financed through Chase and upon the termination of my postion have tried to work with the bank several times. After being in the finance and automotive trade both here and in Europe I can honestly say that without a doubt they are the worst of customer service. I have contacted several times and have NEVER met a human being with an ounce of good manors or politeness. They treat you with total disrespect and seriously need customer service training on the utmost.

I cannot believe that in todays climate that these ignorant people have a job when so many better people could do this. It doesnt take much to treat people with respect. And I can assure you that most of those minimum wage workers there are in personal financial trouble. You think they would be a little understanding.

However all the complaining in the world doesnt make a bit of difference. America used to be seen as a country that offered the best customer service all round. Amazing how things change... So sad

I hate Chase! We were modified without going late! Paid every payment in the form of a cashier's check to chase home finance for about 4 months. WE never got a statement from them, and everytime I called to ask them if they got my payment, they would comment well we must have since were not calling to ask for it. When we finally were reinstated to a regular statement, they charged us 476 in late fee's. Of course we called and told them we were never late, so they reversed all our late fees, but he is the kicker they reported us late on our credit report 30, 60, and 90 days late on our mortgage payment. So we disputed it on experian and called Chase. The chase Lady said when they recieve the dispute Chase would amend it! Wrong we have Disputed it twice and each time they tell the credit report people it is right! So we Call again and they tell us to dispute it again. I tell the lady that will do no good I want the phone number to the department that is denying our claim. She gives me the phone number to the credit report service center! Which is all automated and basically they send you a free credit report. My husband's credit was 740 now it is 680. This sucks I hate Chase.

We have been having the same problems since about August of 2017. First of all we had an ARM and our interest went from 8% to 12% over time. We had been paying on our home for about 7 years prior to getting behind. We worked out a payment agreement to pay 1100.00 a month instead of 690.00. We wired them 2800.00 and faxed the agreement 4 different times. They would send the money back because they were not receiving the agreement. Come to find out the fax number that was on the agreement was the wrong one. It now has been like 4 months and we finally get everything there. We make 2 payments of 1100.00 and we get a letter to appear in court for forclosure. I call them, they say the first payment was not applied and they were sending the 2nd payment back. We agreed to modify the loan. When we did the loan modification they added 9300.00 to our payoff. We borrowed 57000. we owe 63000. We do not want to lose our home so we agree. We mailed our first payment 12/01/08. We get a statement for Jan payment says we are a month behind. I call them they have no record of the payment because the misinformed me on the address to send it to. I had to pay 25.00 to get a copy of the money order. In the mean time we refused to pay them until this was straightened out. We finally dicided to just pay the payments and they agreed to note the account about our Dec payment. I receive a letter in the mail from a lawyer giving us 30 days to respond or they were going to forclose. I call they tell me we are 4 months behind and they will not accept the payments we made to be current and they were sending them back to us. My husband and I are so frusterated! Does anyone have any advise?

did they send you a letter of intent for foreclose? By law they must send you a letter of intent at least 45 days before they can intitiate a foreclosure. If they didn;t then they are in violation of the law and can be prosecuted for it.

go to the HUD website and do some research on your rights as a homeowner or call your local legal aid department for some advisement on this as well. you can also call your local college if they have a law school they usually have a resource that you can tap there as well.

Their attorneys will usually send you a letter beforehand letting you know that they have been asked to be the legal trustee for chase. You also have the right to request documentation from them that shows the original lender. this will forestall forelcosure proceedings for about 60 days. They send you the letter and you have 30 days to respond. send it on the 20th day after you get the letter requesting this information.

When foreclosure is in process you should also get a notice of hearing of foreclosure that gives you a court date when you can go in and state your case to a judge to see if there are grounds for them to continue foreclosure on your home. You have all of your documentation just submit copies of it to the court for them to see what has been done to you. In the meantime subpoena all of the documentation from chase that shows you have spoken with them. They MUST comply or be held in contempt of court unless they respond with some ### reason why they don;t have to supply it. But you can state your need for it by stating that you need the proof to show the court evedence of conversation you have had with CHase regarding this issue.

Keep calling Chase and bug the crap out of them. Ask to speak to a supervisor right away. Don;t go into along conversation with the ###ic CS people that answer the phones. they are idiots. Right now banks do not want your home. they want to get their money so you are in the drivers seat right now so to speak.

I would suggest you file a civil suit against Chase during this process. Find an attorney that will take your case on contingency that he win the case he gets paid. Sounds like you keep good records and this should be a slam dunk. That too can be used as leverage with regard to working with Chase.

I went through the same thing with them this past year when I, a single Dad, lost my job for 3 1/2 months. i made a couple of split payments and they didn't tell me that they wouldn't accept partial payments either. I told they were lucky they were getting anything.

I am NOT a lawyer and my advice is based on my own personal experience so take it for what it'w worth and apply it.
