As of the time of this writing, there are 34 reviews of this company - 32 are the lowest (1 star) and 2 are the second lowest (2 stars). These low ratings are consistent with my experience, yet the company is somehow rated four stars out of five. Perhaps it's the new math!
My experience seems to be a common one across the board - the company receives an order and IMMEDIATELY processes payment and then fails to timely ship the product. "Customer service" is unavailable or unhelpful with the seeming purpose to delay, delay, delay. The customer gets upset about the runaround and eventually cancels the order. In the meantime, the company has held the customer's money for weeks or months. Some people get frustrated enough to post here, where they will eventually receive a message from "Stephanie" who will try to placate and calm them. Rinse and repeat.
When I lodged my complaint directly with the company, I questioned whether they were "incompetent or shady as hell!" After reviewing the vast majority of the comments here, the latter seems to be the case. Unfortunately, the four-star rating is wholly inconsistent with the actual reviews and comments.
A message to "Stephanie": by the time people post here, it is TOO LATE!
Recommendation: Beware of Four Star and 3.9 Rating! I would urge the moderator to investigate the discrepancy.

Capturing payment at checkout is a violation of applicable merchant rules - see, e.g. Visa's Merchant Rule 7.6.1.2 (https://usa.visa.com/content/dam/VCOM/download/about-visa/visa-rules-public.pdf) - which states: "For a Transaction involving goods that are shipped . . ., the Transaction Date must be on or after the date on which the goods are shipped." These standards also generally apply to purchases made by MasterCard and AMEX, yet your company captures payment at checkout (as you say) which is a clear violation. To resolve this dispute, will you commit in writing on this platform to stop violating applicable merchant rules and modify your business practices so that BAERskin Hoodie only charges customers ON OR AFTER THE DATE ON WHICH THE GOODS ARE SHIPPED?
In addition, will you provide me notification in writing that you are reversing the charges placed on my card on 12/5, when by the time of making this complaint you still had not shipped any product?
Finally, I suggest that you stop managing the disputes on this board in an effort to protect your undeserved four star rating, and START HELPING PEOPLE BEFORE THEY ARE FORCED TO COMPLAIN HERE. Legitimate companies have customer service representatives available during business hours to address customer concerns. It is unacceptable that BAERsking Hoodie expects people to leave messages during business hours. I called you on three different days before making my complaint here. Stephanie, you can start helping me and everyone else by answering the phone during business hours to resolve concerns. I find it interesting that you are quicker to respond here than you are if I were to contact your company directly. That fact suggests that you are merely trying to preserve your undeserved four star rating rather than genuinely trying to help people. Are you willing to commit in writing on this board that BAERskin Hoodie will provide an adequate number of customer service representatives to help customers during business hours?
