The battle continues...this is a continuation of earlier reviews regarding the attempt to collect on a claim!
-Same basic responses from their group, the latest again wanting my What's App # to have a Senior Supervisor call me. My response to them was: "Again, the same routine...always referring me to a "Senior Claims Supervisor" who historically had me wiring money to you! Tell me how you can wire us the claim dollars directly without going to those stupid apps!"
- The stupid apps i refer to are those that are "send only" and I unwittingly sent over $3,000 USD (fortunately, my banks saw the wires were a scam and blocked them, thus saving us from the loss!
-Economy Bookings kept telling me it was a system glitch, yet keep referring me to the same type of apps!
-ZERO confidence they will offer a solution without putting us at risk! We lost the $181 premium with which we purchased the policy, plus the estimated $700 we paid the car rental company (Lotus in Athens, Greece...another company to stay away from!).
Recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM ECONOMY BOOKINGS AS LOTUS CAR RENTALS IN ATHENS, GREECE!!
They've contacted me but keep trying to use the same tactics. It has become a circular pattern of responses!
Update 12/29/2025
Alex at EconomyBookings responded with the inaccurate information that not all paperwork was submitted. SIMPLY NOT TRUE, AS ALL PAPERWORK WAS SUBMITTED MORE THAN ONCE! Their "Senior Supervisors" continue to contact us guiding us to questionable sites where SENDING money is the only option, ore sending us a payment form where it states PURCHASE using our credit card! Very difficult company to work with...I maintain my suggestion to STAY AWAY!
ADDED NOTE 12/30/2025:
It should also be noted that there were several alleged attempts to pay the claim, each by those claiming to be "Senior Supervisors". In each case we were led to websites and forms that were only set up for wiring money to them via debit cards (resulting in wiring them over $3,000 which, thankfully, my bank blocked) or to forms that called on us to make a purchase. So, if the claim was denied due to lack of documentation, which is not accurate, why were they claiming to attempt to pay the claim? Either we were being scammed or, at the very least, were being served by incompetence!
