Wendy’s Rude employees incorrect order

On 5/27/22 I did an online order for in store pickup at the Oak Park, IL location on Harlem Ave. I got there and the doors were locked. The drive through line was long, but we went to the drive through as I had already paid for the food.

We finally got to the order box, and was told there was no record of our order. We told her what the order was. I was told the salad I ordered they were out of. So I ordered another one, but without bacon. As I’m telling her this she’s interrupting me telling us to pull up to the next window. I try to say again without bacon and the interrupts me again.

We pull up to the pickup window, and another woman hands us the food. I all if there is bacon on the salad, and she tells me she Diane know. She yells back to ask if anyone knows, and then she told me to check. I looked and there was bacon on it. I let her know, and it was obvious she was not compelled to get a different one.

We left and we were both so disgusted that we didn’t even eat our food. I thought about trying to find someone to give the food to, but didn’t have the energy after that.

I get they are short staffed, over worked, and underpaid. I know it’s stressful working understaffed when it seems like you are just chasing your tail the whole shift. I am always polite and kind, and yet I wasn’t even able to get my order corrected.

I would forgive this if this was the only negative experience at this location, but pretty much every time I have used the drive through it has been a negative experience. This is why I always go in or order for inside pick up.

Desired outcome: At least the cost of my salad back because my order was incorrect, but ideally the whole order cost as neither of us ate any of it.

Wendy’s Manager and employee

I went to Wendy's on Thursday 05/26/22. The staff member that was assisting me was very rude and had a terrible attitude. After ordering on the app, I went to the drive through. The line for the drive through is outrageous. I waited 45 minutes to reach the pick up window and when I finally reached the window the staff member handed me order and immediately turned her back to me. I looked through the order and noticed that I was missing the frosty that my daughter ordered. I thought maybe the staff member has her back towards me because she was preparing the Frosty so I waited. After 5 minutes of sitting there, no acknowledgement from the staff member her coworker signaled her so that she was aware that I was still there. She opened the window and just looked at me so I let her know that I was waiting for the frosty. She rudely said "we don't have none" and mumbles something else and simply walked away from the window. I sat there again and watched her return to the window but again she sat with her back facing me. Her coworker again signaled her that I was there. She opened the window and again said nothing just looked at me. So I let her know that I have no idea what she just said and that my meal came with a drink and how come she didn't offer me a drink and how come she didn't tell me that they didn't have frostya when she handed me my order. She did not answer but looked to the side and grabbed a drink that was sitting there and rudely shoved the drink in my hand. I was shocked and could not believe the service that she was giving me. I then asked her what is in the cup and she said with aggravation , strawberry lemonade. So I asked my daughter if she wants strawberry lemonade and she did not so I asked for the drink that she wanted which was the melon lemonade. The staff member took the drink back and simply walked away again. When she came back she blurted out small, medium, or large. I told her that the size doesn't matter to just give me whatever size comes with the meal. A few moments later someone else appeared who identified himself as the manager. He asked me what happened and I explained to him the service I got and that the employee had an attitude etc. She blurted into the conversation with shock that I would think she had an attitude... She said I have an attitude and rolled her eyes. I answered her back and told her yes, you do. I went through each interaction and she stood there staring at me and was making faces at me. I turned my head from her and continued to speak with the manager. While speaking with the manager I could still see her just standing there staring like she was in disbelief and she was making faces as I talked. At that time I said to the manager, you know she has an attitude I am complaining about her and she really shouldn't be standing here right now. The manager said "she can stand wherever she wants. You can't tell her where to stand. She's doing her job" I asked him what is her job. He said she's taking orders. I said right now she's not taking my order or anyone else's because she is standing there making faces at me while I am trying to speak to him. The manager became very angry and told me that I can't tell her where to stand and that I am disrespecting his workers. I told him I'm not disrespecting anyone that she has an attitude and that I was trying to tell him what happened . He continued on and was arguing with me. By that time the entire team of employees were standing around watching and all were laughing (except) one employee. By that time the manager shoved the drink in my hands just as she did and told me to get the [censored] out of there. I have never in my life experienced a situation where the manager or anyone thought that it was okay to swear at a customer. I had my children with me and didn't want to keep escalating the situation so I drove off. This location on American Legion Highway needs to shut down . The lines are always ridiculously long regardless if you are going inside or if you are in the drive through. The manager needs to be fired and the staff need training on customer service and what to do when a customer has a complaint. They absolutely should not stand there and heckle the customer and escalate the situation.

Wendy’s Food and the service

I went to Wendy’s last night and I set in the drive threw it felt like forever and then when I finally got my food it was wrong and i didn’t no it was wrong until I got home and then I live so far away I didn’t have the gas to come back so my kids and I starved all night cause it wasn’t right the workers just had the worst attitude I have ever seen in my life they just act like they did not want to talk to me on the phone when I was trying to tell them what happen I spent my hard earned money at your restaurant and I didn’t even get to eat it I had to throw it away.

Desired outcome: I would like to have my 3 combo meals the way I ordered them so I could injoy my food and not have to throw it away

Wendy’s raw chicken consumption

Sunday purchased a osiago chicken sandwich took 3 to 4 bites while I was talkin to wife got a little sick to my stomach then it started cramping but was able to throw up didn't no what was going on but happened to look down at my sandwich an saw the uncooked chicken but being a man trying to let it run its course without hospital don't no if it will work still slight pain on the bottom of stomach manager very rude no sorry or nothing she just said give him a refund for the sandwich not the meal turned around walked off as if nothing happened even the guy at the drive threw said you just came threw what's wrong even Jerry another customer noticed how rude she was so he didn't order but he came out after I left an said she went an got the sandwich out of the trash when I left but she should have looked at the sandwich when i brought it back in very unprofessional

Desired outcome: I would like a little compensation for lawyer retailer fee stomach pains an throwing up took Monday an half of Tuesday 7 to 8 thousand should help with everything

Wendy’s Race & ada discrimination

On 5/4/2022 I went into the Wendys in Murray, Utah. Despite there being 7-8 employees, no one would take my order. I waited approx 10 min, during which time several employees looked at me, but no one would take my order. In fact, a few employees were laughing & joking at around while looking at me. After asking a few times for someone to take my order & being ignored, I stated that I wanted to see the mgr to file a complaint. Finally, an employee came forward to take my order, but ignored my request to see a mgr. After I returned home, I called cust service on 5/4 & was told to expect a return call within 48 hrs. I didn't get a call back. I called again on 5/9, & told my call would be escalated to a district mgr, & again told to wait 24-48 hrs. Once again, no return call, so I called again on 5/13, & again told the call would be escalated to both the district mgr & owner, & once again no return call.

I feel that I was discriminated against due to my race & being 100% disabled from serving during the Vietnam conflict.

I have now filed a discrimination complaint w/ the Utah Attorney General's Office.

Wendy’s Drive up worker had hair all over her sweatshirt and she was handing out the food to drive up customers

The employee handing out the food and drinks at the Wendy' drive up window had hair (long hair and possibly pet hair) stuck to the back of her sweatshirt.

She handed me my food in an open sack. It was disgusting.

Desired outcome: Make sure the employees handling food have clean clothes and that no hair is visible on their uniforms.

Wendy’s Customer Service

On Sunday 5/22 at 7:15pm I walked into your store at Chestnut Hill Plaza to place an order. There was only one other customer at the counter who was obviously not happy with the service he was receiving. He had already placed his order and was standing back from the counter when I walked up. I stood there for some time, made eye contact with several employees yet no one acknowledged my presence.

The reason I am writing this is because I eventually left, drove a few miles to the store at University Plaza. I walked in, placed my order and was back in my car with my food in less than 10 minutes. The employees at this store were courteous and prompt.

Wendy’s Poor customer service lazy rude workers

As an uber delivery person as a customer the Wendys has rude obnoxious non helpful lazy workers who told me ill wait till it's done after over 15 to 20 minutes.

Wendy’s Spicy chicken sandwich

Wendy’s Quality of breakfast roll and store management

This concerns the Oxford, PA store. Have been there several times last week and on 2 of those occasions the front door was locked and other customers like myself had looked puzzled when they walked away from the door. No signs or notes of explanation on the doors and the line to the drive thru was wrapped all the way back past the doors almost at the other end of the drive thru. What were they expecting one to do---get your order, sit in the parking lot to eat it and have no access to a restroom? It took me 25 minutes to get up to the ordering station and I order the #9 breakfast sandwich which is the bacon, egg and cheese on a roll. When I got to the window, I asked why were the doors locked and was told "have no help right now". Got my sandwich, drove down the road and parked at the Landhope store (they have restrooms) and opened my sandwich and to my dismay, the roll was hard as a rock. Almost like it had been frozen and was given a quick thaw. I couldn't even finish it and if I had been at the store I would have taken it back, but under the above conditions I was not about to go back and I trashed the sandwich. Seems to me there is something wrong. There always seems to be issues at this store. I also go to the Kennett Square store and it is amazing, and I have decided I will be driving a little further to receive the excellent service and food that I have always gotten when I have stopped there. Appreciate your time, and thank you for listening.

Desired outcome: Oxford store needs to become more customer oriented and definitely need tohire help.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. The hostile treatment at the hands of your manager and staff was compounded by their non-existence of customer service. Refusal to provide receipt when asked, cashier seemed inexperienced, and lack of menu items which led to complete frustration. Also numerous staff members were sitting outside the restaurant until the manager showed up. Then they went inside. Once I asked to speak to manager about situation, a confrontational attitude persisted. Especially, when I simply returned items and asked for a refund.

Manager Stated Below:

“Stated, I don’t know who the hell you think you are. You nasty [censored] customers!”

Once we began to leave:

“ You MotherFuckers!”

I’m a 21 year retired/disabled veteran who suffers from PTSD. Experiences such as these are a trigger for me which make me relive trauma. I need medication daily and have a psychiatrist and counselor. The main question that I am always asked is, have you had experiences that make you want to hurt others or yourself? This is one of those times; I would have to answer, YES!

Wendy’s Service and wrong product

The wendy on south side of bismarck employees can hardly speak or understand english. Got order wrong. Went to complain and get it fixed. They just speak in another language and argued. Out of 4 items, they got 1 right. After becoming upset they fixed 1 of the 3 mistakes.

Order spicy chicken sandwich and dave single combo and 2 hamburger patties for our dogs pain.

We got chicken sandwich and 2 burger with onions pickles ketsup mustard.

Desired outcome: to fix all 3 mistakes and to apologize for the errors vs complaining among themselves.

This letter serves as a formal complaint against your Wendy’s restaurant located at 530 American Legion Highway in Roslindale, MA.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, I ordered three large strawberry lemonades from this location. I was given three medium strawberry lemonades. I immediately informed the drive through window attendant I was given the incorrect order. The drive through window attendant told me “This is a large. Large drinks are now being served in this size cup. (a medium cup).” My immediate response was “why am I being charged for a large drink in a medium cup”? The employee responded, “this is what it is.” I asked, “what was the effective date of change, and again why was I being charged for a large drink, which is in a medium cup”? I was told the change happened that morning. Up until Friday, May 13, 2022, the size cup I was given for a large was previously a medium size cup.

Wendy’s did not provide advanced notification to the public nor to the employees. Furthermore, what makes you think you can make an illegal change? This is a 93A, an unfair and deceptive business practice. You are taking advantage of the constituents in the community, with illegal practices.

There are major concerns at this location anyway, including washing your back of the restaurant floor and allowing the nasty water to run out the door, where the rats patiently wait each night.

I am filing formal complaints with all appropriate agencies.

I expect an immediate correction in charges for the medium drink you are charging as large drinks.

Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich/Chili Hot Sauce

I'm 51 years old and have been a Spicy Chicken sandwich fan since its inception. With that said, it's never been spicy enough so at a younger age, being a fan of your chili as well, I started putting the hot sauce packets on my chicken sandwich. If you haven't tried it, it's amazing. However, after moving to a Chicago suburb three years ago, I have been denied the hot sauce unless I buy the chili (many times, especially during the summer, I don't want chili). I have asked to speak to managers at several of the restaurants (most recently in Homewood, IL) and have even offered to pay for extra packets of hot sauce and have been denied on almost all occasions. In fairness, the manager I spoke with at Homewood said it was a "corporate decision".

You actually have a great combo in the making (extra hot sauce - YOUR chili hot sauce), but I can no longer enjoy that amazing taste that always made me your number one fan of spicy chicken. By the way, Popeyes is located right next door and I haven't been back to Wendy's in over nine months (outside of several visits asking at the drive-thru if I can get chili packets with my sandwich prior to ordering - when told "no", I leave).

Funny thing is that this has been bothering me for a while. I'm a General Manager of a customer-facing organization that wants to make all of our customers happy and when they are not totally pleased I at least like to help them understand why the situation went sideways.

First World problems...I get that. But, I at least wanted to see if one voice can make a difference because I really miss your Spicy Chicken Sandwich (with chili sauce packets).

Wendy’s dirty,nasty kitchen area and unwashed or still dirty

6pm 5/14/22 at the salyersville ky. restraunt-when ordering i noticed the floors in the kitchen area was cluttered and there were french fries on the floor ,a sustancial number probably 25-30 that were being walked on and many were already flattened by the workers walking on them.the floors did not look clean.After i recieved my food on a tray my fingers stuck to the tray.Looking at the tray it looked like dried catsup and was on the tray in several locations.Outside was neat and clean however the dining area floor was also sticky when walking on it---needles to say i will not be eating there again.Benny easterling 16130 ky hwy 191 hazel green ky [protected]@hotmail.com

Wendy’s Fake survey sandwich

I spent time Wendy's survey that was printed on the back of a receipt I received at Wendy's location on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset NY a week earlier. After taking the survey and validating the recipe with a number, I returned to the same Wendys a few days later to order a Premium sandwich (spicy honey chicken) and asked for a sandwich as part of the promotion.

The person at the windows "Patricia" told me that even though the survey says I could order any premium sandwich- they were NOT honoring the survey promotion because the premium spicy honey chicken sandwich doesn't count as a premium sandwich order and that I had to order a different premium sandwich in order to collect my survey "reward".

This Syosset NY location gave me the original survey receipt but said that they simply would not honor it as it was written and provided. I ended up driving away without spending any money at Syosset Wendys .

I ask, what kind of a company has their customer take the time to fill out a survey and then refuses to uphold their own written promise?

I feel that your company is cheating me and you are not worthy of my business anymore. . I do have other fast food options in the area that I can patronize in place of wendys.. Had I known what kind of an indifferent company you are to your customers' time and money before I filled out the survey, I would not have been so kind in my survey responses.

Jerri Stockbauer is the absolute worst general manager ever. Do not work for her. She is literally trash. Don’t even bother working at Wendys on Euclid. That place once was riddled with mice, flies, wasps, and disgusting dirty floors and bathrooms.

Wendy’s Rude Staff

I went through the Drive Through and ordered 3 Biggie Bags specifically asking at least twice for THREE individual bags. At the window it all came in one bag. I asked that it be fixed and put in separate bags. At this point you could tell by facial expressions that they weren' happy to do this.

I rec'd the bags and there was only 1 nugget in 1 of the bags. I made them aware and was told they fell out.I checked each bag and no extra nuggets. I told them and they gave me another order

All this was done with a poor attitude

I was told next I would just be given a bag and could divide it up myself

There is no reason on earth to be so rude to a customer.

Desired outcome: The Staff needs to be taught manners and customer service.I understand these are trying times but there is no excuse for such rudeness

Wendy’s Apple pecan salad with lettuce hang out and black stuff around rim of container and managers disrespect

Monday, April 9, 2022, I went to Wendy’s at 43058 Portsmouth Blvd Chesapeake VA 23321 location. I ordered 2 apple pecan salads with double grilled chicken. The clerk advised that it would be 7 minutes for grilled chicken and asked if I was willing to wait. I agreed and she had me pull on the other side of the restaurant to wait. I waited for approximately 12 minutes and thought’ they forgot me and went back to the drive thru and asked if the salads were ready. The clerk stated” grill takes a while, and a young man was on his way out with my order”. I told her I understand and was told 7 minutes and had waited about 12, she said the chicken has to be flipped on both sides and it took longer than 7 minutes. I said okay, do you want to go back on the side to park and she said not come to the drive thru.

I got to the window, took the salads, and looked to make sure I had everything. I noticed on salad had lettuce hanging out and black stuff was around the rim. I hand it back to the clerk and said this back stuff around the rim was nasty and asked for my money back. She took the salad closed the window and the manager came handed me my money and was closing the window. I said to her you did not even say sorry or nothing. She said there was nothing wrong with that salad and it took out my phone to show here the picture I took of the salad, and she said no recording at the drive thru window and closed the window and walked away.

I was really upset because patiently waited, did nothing wrong and I eat at this Wendy often and felt mistreated by the manager. I call the Western Branch Store in Chesapeake VA and asked for a districts manager number. I explained what happened and she took my number. No one has contacted me yet. I will contact the health department tomorrow concerning this salad and the hazard of the black stuff on the rim and the salad hanging outside the container.

I was not treated as a respected customer and felt embarrassed as I drove away with all the clerks standing around looking at what had happened. Total disregard for customer service and setting the right example for the young people working for her

Desired outcome: An apology and customer service training for shift, The Manger to be held accountable for her disrespectful actions in front of your personnel she should be setting the example for.

Wendy’s service and food

Arrived around 10:30 PM. Ordered 2 big bacon burger classics, a large fry, and a chili. Had the coupons for free mini Frosty's. Was told they don't serve Frosty's after 10:00 PM. They didn't give me a receipt, so I asked for one. I wanted the survey info on the back. I was told the receipt machine was broken. They charged me $20.__. How do I know that was the correct amount since I didn't get a receipt.

When I got home, I had a small fry instead of a large, the cup of chili was only partially full, and the burgers looked like they were just thrown together. One of the burgers was supposed to have added mustard and extra pickles. It had neither. The fries were cold and had to be put in the oven. The burgers were both only luke warm and had to be put in the oven with the fries to get hot. After all of that, I tried to call the store and no one answered the phone. The next morning, I tried to call the store again. It took a long time, but someone finally answered the phone, I asked to speak to the manager. The person who said they were the manager sounded like a young girl. I explained to her what happened and she didn't seem to care.
