drained my transmission fluid
I am writing to inform you of the problem I have had with my vehicle following service at this center on 02/27/2009. I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 4.0 L automatic. Not long after this oil change, I began to experience a “lag” in my transmission. I took it to a local mechanic for the next oil change and asked him to also check my transmission. He informed me that my transmission was “sealed” and could only be worked on by the dealer. I was trying to save the money to take my truck to the dealer when, last week, the transmission totally stopped working. When the dealer inspected my transmission, they discovered that it had been over-filled with too much fluid, and what was drained was a “mixture” of the required “WS ATF” and another unidentifiable fluid. They drained and refilled with the correct fluid, however my transmission still is not working. They told me they suspected that the transmission drain plug was opened in error and whoever did this overfilled it with the wrong fluid. The only choice is to replace the transmission. I have invoices from the last 3 oil changes done at this facility. The first 2 (dated 7/19/2008 and 11/21/2008) state that the transmission fluid check was “declined” and then a note stating it is a sealed transmission. The most recent invoice states that the transmission fluid was “checked”. This is impossible as there is no dipstick, and the only way to get to the transmission is through the drain plug, losing the fluid in the process. In light of the fact that nobody else has worked on my vehicle and the documentation that shows this facility checked my transmission fluid, I can reasonably ascertain that your last mechanic to change my oil, also inadvertently drained my transmission fluid. In addition, I feel that upon realizing the error, they attempted to “hide” the error by attempting to replace whatever fluid was lost with some other fluid.

worst haircut ever
I told the stylist that I wanted a trim. Then without warning she went up the back of my head with a pair of clippers! I had to shave my entire head! Turned out that she wasn't even on duty. She heard I had cash and jumped up and said she would do it. Turns out she admitted she was drinking! Oh and the best part is that she is the Stores Manager! I will never go to any Smart Style Salon again as long as I live!

Personally smart styles in Greenville, ms have new workers and their are nice and caring... Bernetta, Sonya, Teresa, and Linda are great hair dressers...
logistics
I ordered various items from Walmart.com that promised to have my items within 7 - 10 business days. I did not receive all of my items by the promised timeframe. I emailed them twice regarding my item and I received not one response. I called their customer service (or shall I say lack thereof) and the representative hung up on me. Let's just say that I will not be ordering from walmart.com again and I will highly recommend no one should ever do so. Heed my warning regarding walmart.com...DON'T DO IT! For others who have complaints, you should file a complaint with the FTC Bureau of Consumer Complaints and the Better Business Bureau like I did.

Same here, no response to emails from me too.
Very upset. I've been waiting for the certificate. So please contact me or i will never shop at your store.
I would like an answer or my money back. U should have a survey if you are not goint to bied by it.
I filled out a survey and was told I would receive a $200 gift certificate and never received it and paid $4.50 for shipping and handling. How can u tell someone that they are getting a $ gift certificate in 3 to 7 business days and never send it. I would like a to know.
visa gift card
I purchased a WalMart Visa Gift Card (debit). The outside wrapping stated: Exp Date: 11/30/2010. When I opened the package the card stated: Exp Date: 12/09.
WalMart will not honor the card even though Visa states that there is still the original 50.00 on the card. I tried to contact Visa and could not get a live person, only an automated system that did not help. I would be able to report the card lost but it would cost me 5.00. Why do I have to pay 5.00 for their mistake.
walmart stopped carrying so many items
Why has this Walmart stopped carrying so many items? It being the biggest retail here in Mountain Home, Idaho it makes absolutely no since to me. We as well as other people we know have completely quit shopping there, getting out prescriptions there, as the convenience is simply not there, and the prices are unreal. Paul's on a whole is more convenient for us unless we make a trip to Boise. Come on Mike you need to speak up for us on this Walmart or it will go down the drain like it's squiggle did. Having worked for Walmart when it first opened in New Mexico we have come a long way baby but keep it simple and what the people want. Idaho is a wonderful place but it's Walmart in Mountain Home sucks!

Walmart sucks but so do all the other stores here in North Carolina
In response to mrs penguin, she is exactly right. I live in North Carolina and our local Walmart been doing this for a year or more. They have done this to so many items i like that was always sold out and they couldn't keep the items in stock. TO me that means that these items are very popular and selling more than they predicted and they cant keep in stock. What they do is they quit selling those items, which led me to believe that they would rather replace those items with something easier to keep in stock. I know for a fact that empty shelves look very bad for them. So they choose to keep their shelves full of lesser and slower selling items than having empty shelves all the time. For example, Cafe Escapes Vanilla is my favorite. They could hardly ever keep them in stock and then when they reorder, they would order only 5 boxes. They would sell out immediately and the shelf would stay empty for up to a month and a half and then they would order just 5 more and the cycle goes on. I asked what the deal was an they gave me some explanation that made no sense. They dont have trouble keeping any other flavor of Cafe Escapes in stock and they still sell everyone of those. This same thing has happened to many other items and about 12 of my family and friends say the same thing happens with their favorite items that are hard for them to keep stocked. Some of the other items i liked that this happened to are, granola bars, frozen meals, yogurt, certain kind of cookies from the deli, face cloths my wife used, shampoo and conditioner and many more. This has frustrated me to the point of when i see walmarts commercial about bring ur other grocery receipt and see how much money walmart can save u because of prices and them being YOUR ONE STOP GROCERY STORE, i feel like putting my foot through the TV. No one can save money because they arent going to have 25% to 50% of the name brand items u want. Walmart is becoming a joke. They not only do that, they dont open enough registers to where u wait longer in line than the time it took to shop and its all about their #1 priority…money. Right, they say the customer is #1, yet they stop selling what customers want and then make them stand in rediculously long lines.
Deleted items are a huge source of cutomer dissatisfaction. Our local Walmart got rid of maternity clothing all together, for one. Also, it's not always reasonable what they delete. There is a deli item called buffalo ranch chicken wings. They were constantly selling out of them as they are very popular. (my personal favorite as well). Recently, the deli associates had started making them again but were forced to stop because it wasn't allowed...even though they were selling like crazy.
Well unfortunately they try to carry what home office thinks is the most frequently bought items in that town or region. If the item is not popular than they will take it off the shelf. Also if the item is made more modern or newer and they believe it will sell better than they will take the old product off the shelf. They also are trying to make a profit so they tend to carry more items that they can sell at a higher profit. However to be a little more helpful, if you happen to have one of the items that you want and that your store near you does not carry I would encourage you to bring it in. Maybe the department manager/Merchandise Supervisor can bring it to their UPC associate and see if it can be a local item that your store can carry. Also that associate can e-mail their department and get an answer from home office if they can put it on their modular.
It's happening here too (Georgia).
What I have noticed is that when the price on a National Brand product becomes equal to or less than the Generic / Store Brand, then Walmart removes the National Brand from the shelf. I have seen this mostly in the grocery section. For example: We used to have a wide selection of about 8 different brands of canned peas, so the prices were a good spread - low-to-high. Now, we have 3 brands + 1 Store Brand - no real selection remaining.
I have also noticed that Walmart misleads consumers with it's "Rollback" pricing notices.
For example: The loaf of French Bread has a sign stating the price Was $1.50, and is Now $1.24. However, in the past 1+ year, the same bread was only $1.00 - it has not been $1.50 (in at least 1 year). I have seen this on so many products!
Now, I keep a spiral notebook with my grocery list each week. I write down the current price, and when I think it has changed, I simply review the previous weeks' list to see what it was - and I catch too many times where the prices have actually increased, sometimes a lot. (While at Kroger and Publix, the prices have remained the same, so it's not a manufacturing increase.)
I can't find many things at my local wal-mart store as their products and selections contnue to dwindle. Very aggregating!
I just read all that and couldn't make much sense at all. Something about Walmart not carrying certain items anymore and thats about all I understood...
charged money not owed by me
i went to walmart to buy grocery's with food stamps and bought nothing that owed cash and walmart reconized it was very correct but still charged me 2.16 before i could get my grocerys.i am disabled and could not afford to pay cash for something i didnt owe.they told me eveb tough i didnt but anything to use cash they said i still had to pay because it showed up on the reciept.i still have my reciept and it shows only grocerys, no cash items or taxable items.i think this is very wrong for them to do that and tell me they couldnt fix the problem.

there are certain food items that are disallowed by my tax funded food stamps. So you're ### over less then a three dollar grocery bill while I pay FULL price for mine, AND helped pay for yours too?
I understand you may be disabled, and for that I am sorry, but, still, your upset about something that is nearly free for you, and while the majority of us have no such luxury. Smile, be glad you have a safety net such as food stamps. I'll trade my grocery bills anytime you want to.
horrible manager
I was dedicated customer at the Walmart store located in Quincy, ma
The reason I am writing this letter is because I believe that the disrespectful behavior of staff toward employees and customers should be investigated. The store manager, Michelle (asian woman)to his staff in such a disrespectful way that shocked me to the core. I couldn’t believe it. As I searched the internet in an attempt to locate the Walmart corporate information, I stumbled on many online reports of how Walmart had treated some of their former managers, employees and customers. Much of that information can be found here: http://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=Walmart
Just recently I was in the store and Michelle(manager) Asked me why am I so fat if I only had 3 kids and I was appauled.I had my children 16, 15 and 6 with me and I spoke with Manager, Mark or mike I forgot is last name.. After that I continued shopping and Michelle once agian assaulted two employees right in front of me while one poor girl went to the bathroom and cried and the other stayed quiet. I have contacted The Global Ethics Helpline at 1-800-WM-ETHIC who are in the process of launching an investigation against her as well as the store for the following: ETHICS POLICY VIOLATION. EMPLOYEE ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, PERSONAL INJURY DURING THE ASSAULT, WRONGFUL TERMINATION AND CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS. There are many other employees there who are afraid to speak up for themselves for fear of retaliation byMichelle as well as other higher ups.
I ask that you please let our surrounding communities know the type of mean spirited individuals who are disrespecting our children, sisters, mothers, brothers and fathers. Their claim is to help family and community, but they have done more harm than good. The only thing they've been doing is stealing money from the people in these communites. Cashiers told me stole large sums of money from this same Walmart store and was never prosecuted for his crime Michelle gets away with everything.e. We don't know why because the employees are afraid to ask in fear of retaliation. I believe that enough is enough.
When it comes to Walmart, customer service has now become a mythical entity.
Respectfully,
Jennifer Malone

store manager not consumer friendly
I go to the walmart in Sauk Centre Mn, i usually shop at nite, at ten pm they close the west side doors, leaving only the east front doors to enter and exit. So, they tell the semi's to part on the east side, and block up the lot, and get into the cars traffic areas. I asked if she couldn't have them park on the west end, because of this, she got very crabby, said they are trucker friendly, and they spend as much as i do at that store. Believe me, they dont, I spend over 1, 000.00 dollars a month at that store, and i used to drive semi, and park at walmart, if i spent 20 dollars a week in a store it was a lot, i mainly used it for a sleeping spot, which is what they do too. If this parkin doesnt get changed i will spend my thousand a month someplace else, and my relatives will too.

jamaica call reporting won $55, 500.in wal-mart sweepstakes
Today at 12:50 p.m. received a telephone call from a man with children in the background telling me I had won or my husband had won a Wal-Mart Sweepstakes and we had been notified several weeks back about it. We had not received any such information in the mail that either of us were aware of, the caller id showed JAMAICA CALL [protected]. When the man told me US Dollars for winnings were $55, 500.00 for third prize I was surprised, then he told me taxes had to be paid on it so I told him when the check arrived then we would pay our US taxes on the winnings and hung up. He called right back claiming I had been rude. In a scam like this I don't believe I was rude at all. But if you can prove that this isn't a scam, I would appreciate it very much.

given medication that was for another customer. wrong prescription given out, name on outside of bag correct, medication inside in a different name!
First, I hope that this complaint gets into the hands of someone that can make a difference. On several occasions I have used the services of Walmart Neighborhood Pharmacy located at 2856 Hickory Hill Ext., Memphis, TN 38115. I have cause for concern, when I have been given the wrong medications as well as having discrepancies with the quanity of medication received. Also, I have had problems with the time frame in which my prescriptions are filled. However, when I call in for refills by 9:30 a.m., I am told that it will be ready by 3:30 p.m. On days that the regular pharmacist, Jerry Holmes, is not on duty, prescriptions are filled within a reasonable time. This is whether I have called earlier or currently waiting in store for pick up. I would appreciate any assistance in correcting this problem. As this is a life or death situation! Thank you.

Every state has a Pharmacy Board...you can look them up on the internet. And THAT is where these complaints about missing, or incorrect medications should be going. The head pharmacist at each WalMart is the one who will be held accountable. And the state pharmacy board will investigate, and get stuff corrected. You can hound them all you want, ...they are paid by your taxes...makes use of it...make them do THEIR job.
I would love to hear the tone of your voice and know what attitude you're displaying when you either call or go in these places. I can honestly I have NEVER EVER encountered problems like this is ANY pharmacy anywhere. I cant believe it's ALL unprovoked
dr. allen-iron mountain, mi
Went for an exam and purchased glasses on 1/4/2010. Realized after a week or so that I could not see the way I should. Went back to see if the Dr. Allen would recheck me. They did recheck the prescription as they had to order this out. They said there was no problem with this prescription, but asked the doctor what his opinion would be and they told me that...

I am a family member of a walmart employee in harvey, la. Walmart has been turning people into part time employees for no reason. Also, telling people that if they don't start working on sundays they will be forced to part time. Stockers were told that if they can't work the new made up shift of 4a m - 1pm and if they can't accept those hours then they can stay home and not receive any hours at all. Right now in walmart there are 5 of their big registers open because they don't want to pay people. They are firing people left and right. One lady was fired while out on leave told that she didn't handle her leave right. Long story short she got a lawyer was rehired & had to be paid for the days they dismissed her, but now they are telling her that she has to come back and work nights. Another example a door greeter was told she has to open up her availabilty to receive hours. She relies on public transportation and they asked her when does her last bus pass. This is absolutely rediculous and I wanna know if any of this is illegal which I think most of it is.

Walmart has taken a beating regarding how they treat their employees and with good reason. They came out with a campaign a couple of years ago, saying they "value" and are "increasing" wages. Yeah, then they cut hours for 6 weeks and counting, saying it's because of the hurricanes recently. Hurricanes? They take money from me to donate? Shouldn't they ask if I want to donate? Filed a complaint on the ethics of all of this and the Home Office referred me to the Market HR manager, who NEVER answered their phone. Any complaint gets pushed back down to the store manager and they do what they want. The Unions need to push their way into Walmart. The employees need representation. Also, the managers are abusive in the language and how they treat you. I had one screaming at me, on the sales floor and management did nothing to her. Just told me to do what she says and try not to upset her. This however, does not fit in the legal term of hostile environment. The laws need to change and broaden the "Hostile" definition.
Dear members who are complaining on WalMart!
WalMart is a huge multi-million franchise store. It should have Trade Union workers' protection. Unite with other workers across the nation and file the big case. Let your Union stand up for you. The separate voices are not heard and are ignored.
Together, in hundreds, you are a big force: they will start hearing you.
I stopped by at a local WalMart to say a couple words to my former student of English, Yolanda. Yolanda looked scared to death that her supervisor or a colleague notice she spoke to me one minute. It looked like a plain slavery. Well, if people do not stand up for their rights and dignity together, nobody is going to help them.
The reason is obvious: unemployment. People are holding tight for their little paychecks. I can understand that very well. I am a teacher who has 5 hours of work in a week now. They laid us off massively last September. Soon, they will close us (English for immigrants/general ed for adults program) at all. The country is ruled by rich corporations, teachers are being fired. Education will go down, more criminals appear in the streets, fewer professionals or people in their sound mind. What are we heading for? Only people can change this situation, if they speak up.
Sincerely,

my niece worked at the wal mart in hannibal, and was let go yesterday, she has been sick lately and was told by her DR. not to go to work because she had a bad virus, they won't let her have any beverage at her work station, and on top of that she's pregnant, they let her go yesterday claiming excessive absence, it's plain to see they have no common sense or compassion for their employees, but it seems if she wanted to, she probably has a good discrimination case against them, most unions seem to encourage people to boycott them because of the way they treat their employees, it looks like slavery is alive and well in walmart
I totally agree with this, Walmart management treats the people like a number they can replace anytime, the store manager in Woodstock, il is horrible towards customers and has a awful attitude with people. She will tell you off with a smile. They seem to keep the employees who act the same way or brown nose or are they snitches to them. But they do not keep the good employee's. They might want to turn the DAM AIR CONDITIONER OFF WHEN ITS 28 degrees outside making all the employees sick to make there bonus bigger, its save save save more money for them. I really feel sorry for all those who work at any walmart make them pay your medical bills. I would advise everyone not to shop at Walmart go else where or go to a store where the mangers are people and treat us consumers like people. I rate this store HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE ! HORRIBLE! Oh by the way what happen to made in America by Sam, its more like made in china!
credit card
Beware walmart credit card users...
I received a walmart charge card that had no interest added for 12 months. I paid that amount off early and made other charges. At the end of the 12 months they charged me approx. 150.00 saying that I didn't pay all the initial charges. Get this-when I called walmart credit card they told me that if all the subsequent charges were not paid off in the 12 months, the accrued finance amount is charged. They also told me that when payments were made, I had to call to tell them to apply to the non-interest amount — if not, the payments are applied to new charges first. That is ridiculous and just greedy. I was never informed of this practice. All my purchases were made online, so when the rep said that they should have told me in the store at time of purchase, I knew that she (The company) was aware of this deceit already.
I got that amount taken off, but I am sure this has happened to others.
Shame on walmart... They make so much money and still they cheat the very customers that give them the money.
... This should be a class action suit

Never been late, paid more than the minimum, never missed a payment, paid off balance and they reduced credit limit from 1200 to 100.00 dinged the crap out of credit.
The Walmart Credit card has been a nightmare, They are charging huge interest fees each month on Purchases I never made. I am a very honest person and pay off my account every month. When I discovered an item on it that I never purchased I called and told them and ask them to please close my account with them. Now I am receiving an amount they say I owe two months later with absorbents interest rates and have contacted them but they continue to harass me. Do not get a Walmart Credit Card. I plan to pursue this fraud D Robb posted 4/20/2018
I was a FOOL and accepted the WalMart credit card that was sent to me. I got so fustrated I cut the thing up and threw it away. Several times I was charged a late fee and had to call in to the 1-877 number a few times and talked to different represtatives to change me due date to the 15th of the month. I was on SSI Disability and did NOT get my check until the 3rd of the month. Then I used one of my brother's check to make a monthly payment because my checks had not come into the mail. I sent a small posty note stating this was to go to my WalMart Credit Card and my account number was in the memo part of the check. Whomever posted it applied it to my brother's WalMart card instead of mine. Again, I was charged a late fee because they did not receive my payment. When my brother got his statement he asked me how much I pay on my walmart card. $50.00 they had credited to my brother's account. With his permission I made a copy and sent it to the Atlanta, GA address. Finally a WalMart associate contacted me and he said he'd straighten the issue out and waive the late fee. Didn't happen. They still said I owed them $64.00 . In January I asked them to send me a monthly bill because my WalMart store wouldn't accept the monthly bill because there was no barcode on it to process it since I no longer have my WalMart card. I called again on February 7 saying I still have NOT received my monthly bill. She said she would send me one. On Feb 14th I tried to make a payment on line through my checking account. It did not got through. The 15th I had to make another call. I suffer from Anxiety attacks and on medication for it. Having to deal with the animation when placing a call then the constant run around is NOT worth it. I had a hard time understanding the girl she didn't speak very good English and she said she would make a note that I had not received my monthly bill and would not charge me a late fee. NEVER EVER will I recommend this credit card to anyone. My brother also said when he pays his off he isn't renewing it either. My daughter wanted to get one and I told her do NOT get it, they charge her interest fee on the balance owed on your card and if you only pay the minimum balance it'll take several years to pay it off.
Walmart credit cards cheats believe it or not I paid off balance early on one card, the next month the charged interest on 0 balance, on my second card purchase for one item over $ 1000, I paid $500 first payment next month got charged interest, do not buy at Walmart with their credit master cards on sales, or interest free, they steal from you, and you save no money I, paid tore my cards end of story, but short of money stay away from crooked places like these and Master card a bunch of crooks just feel sorry for people that pay the minimum amount they are being eaten alive at 17.99 % interest
Walmart credit cards cheats believe it or not paid off balance early the next month the charged interest on 0 balance on my second card purchase over $ 1000 paid $500 first payment next month got charged interest, do not buy at Walmart with their credit master cards on sales or so they say interest free they steal from you prod and save no money, paid tore my cards end of story but short of money stay away from crooked places
I noticed on my credit report I had a Walmart card. I called them they had recently mailed one to my old address when I called them and told them I moved and hadn't received it I explained I had put a address change in with the post office they said no big deal. The mail transferred it to my new address, I called to activate it and now its like I'm committing a crime their fraud department wants me to send all kinds of bills and photo ids . Why because I called them and said I moved and the mail should transfer it to me. Well Walmart you can keep the card. I refuse to be punished for doing the right thing your company is not to big to fail.
This is a rather common practice by credit card companies. Devil is in the details or The FINE print. My Firestone Card has a similar 18 month interest-free offer. So, I got 4 tires. A $30 oil change brought all that accumulated interest onto a monthly billing. My concern is all of the different Card Companies offering a WalMart "branded" Credit Card, but you still deal with that company rather than WalMart.. I got an offer from Synchrony Bank of Orlando FL in the mail this month. It offers 6 to 24 month "Special Financing" too ;(
I also agree that Walmart is operating close to the wrong side of the law if not there already. I have two interest rates on my card and any money paid is to go against the higher interest rate by federal law. I am not using the card, making more that the minimum payment and my higher rate balance is going up every month. When I called them they stated that this is happening all the time and it has something to do with their new computer system. I now have to call every month to make sure the payment is applied correctly. I wonder how many other people this is happening to and just hasn't been noticed yet.
servive
I went by Walmart this morning to get a few things. I got in line and the person ahead of me had an item with no price, the cashier looked and looked for the UPC code but could not find one. She called the houseware dept. but NO ANSWER. She called again still no answer. She was getting frustrated and tried another dept. Still no response. There were 3 other cashiers standing at her station but for some reason she did not ask for help. She kept trying to call the houseware dept never once apologizing for the untimely manner this was taking to get a simple price check. So, I offered to go look for the price myself. She looked at me as if i had fallen off a truck! The costomer that was trying to purchase the item finally said." well i'll just got get another on and bring it back to you" of course the cashier did not even acknowledge the fact that she had said anything mush less tell her that she would get a 'PAID EMPLOYEE" to do that for her. At 7:45 or so walmart is fairly empty so it was not like there were others waitng to be checked out. Just me and the lady in front of me. She got the item and the cashier look at her and said now which one of these do you want? AS IF IT MATTERED! She told her to keep the one with the price on it because it was the only one back there that had a price and they did not need to go through this again with someone else. It took me 11 minutes to stand in line and get checked out when it was about a 3 minute process. Why didn't go to another cashier you might ask? because there were 2 open lanes and the other had several people in it.
My questions are these... When did Walmart become so inefficent? When did you decide that it was the costomers responsibility to do price checking? And when exactally did costomer service become a problem? My suggestion is this, Hire perple who give a flip. Hire people who need a job so badly that they will do whatever it takes to make the costomer happy.
Thank you,
Crystal

This is in response to Crystal:
As a former employee, I can tell you whoever was working this checkout line could have used some training on how to effectively handle a situation as yours. As a former employee, I was in a position to where I ran across this situation countless times -- no price on an item. Literally, I ran into situations where, I could not contact the associates I needed because employees were on break, etc., and I was in management.
I think this gal ignored you because she didn't have proper training...and didn't know how to handle the situation, so she prentended you weren't there. However, the cashier should have called over a CSS for a price check. In the event I couldn't get someone to give me a price and I couldn't leave my register, I tried never to inconvenience a customer.
I tried to verify prices when I could, but when I couldn't...ask the customer what the price is. Sometimes, if I didn't have a line, I would ask the customer if they minded checking for me because I couldn't leave my register. If I had a line and couldn't find a price and couldn't get help to verify the price, I sold the item to the customer at a price that I knew was close to the price. Why? Nothing is worse than irritating a customer over a few dollars and in the end, not worth it to lose a customer's business..especially if they are a frequent shopper and spend money regularly in the store.
Did Wal-mart lose money on the price of that single item. Probably a little. But what is worse...lose a dollar, or lose a customer who spends $100 a week in the store. Do the math.
I cannot say anything for the cashier who personally helped you out that day, Crystal. I can tell you cashiers are trained not to leave their registers...for several reasons. Could be this cashier was just following what she was trained to do, but in any case, needs more training on what to do when she runs into a problem like this. Definitely, she should have gotten a CSS involved.
There was plenty of times a cashier couldn't find a price on something, I would see they were having a problem and help a cashier get the price needed for an item.
Why would a cashier not be able to take a customer's word that a price was a certain price? Literally, I had some customers deliberately trying to get an item for cheaper. It may be fine if the price of a few items is undercut...price-wise. But what if this happens on a continual basis?
A company like Wal-Mart would no longer be able to make a profit and would lose money. Then, they would have to raise the price on groceries to make up their losses. I realize there are wonderful honest customers out there. And, I think it stinks when a few dishonest customers take advantage of return policies, policies in general that make companies in turn have to have more rigid rules for their employees..rules that discourage the cashier from taking any customer's word for anything.
This girl could have been afraid of the circumstances if she just took the customer's word and didn't clearly know what to do. I never asked a customer to find a price for me unless I clearly couldn't get a paid employee to assist or simply gave the item to the customer for whatever price they said because I knew they knew what the price was or were close. I don't know if it was a case of the girl not caring or not because I wasn't present in this situation. I can tell you there are caring Wal-mart employees -- some of which are just as upset at not finding help when needed as you the customer are. I don't think it is the fact that some employees don't care, as the fact that they, too, are limited by not getting help when needed. When a company cuts back on hiring employees, help may not be there when needed. Please remember this and don't automatically assume employees just don't want to help you. I know of several good employees who literally have tried for 20 minutes or more to get help needed for a customer and because of company cutbacks, it took longer than it should have for these employees to get help for customers. But, please don't automatically assume the employee is at fault. Sometimes, this just isn't true.
Being in management, there were several times I wanted to help customers but was prohibited by company policy and some of those policies I wasn't able to discuss with customers. I couldn't tell a customer anything other than, I cannot help you, sorry. Employees in some situations are just as helpless as customers when company policies bind their hands and they cannot assist customers like they should be able to.
gift cards - fraud claims
I do know some of this story is my fault. This story ends I am cheated by Wal-Mart. I lost $366.15. I enjoyed grocery shopping at my local Wal-Mart. I also like buying on ebay.com
This story begins I started buy gift cards on eBay. I enjoyed this because with sites like ebates you can 3% cash back on eBay.
I was feeling great… I am saving more money at Wal-Mart. I have a budget, as I know many do in this recession.
I started doing this in October 2009. Whenever I would buy a gift card on eBay I would go to Walmart.com and buy an E-gift certificate. I would combine e-gift cards until I saved enough to buy a Wal-Mart gift card and paid for shipping, and had some saving.
I felt golden at checkout feeling I saved a few dollars. I am very frugal, so little things can excite me.
In January I combined enough e-card to equal $200 dollars and have it shipped to my house as a Wal-Mart gift card, and had intended to use it towards groceries. I also had another $166.15 in e-cards in reserve at walmart.com
The day the Wal-Mart gift card was delivered to my house. I received an email, from walmart.com saying the order was cancelled. I logged on Wal-Mart as seen it was labeled as Fraud.
I checked every card balanced purchased on eBay before using it on Walmart.com, and once I felt the order was accepted, and delivered. I destroyed the old card. I most times bought cards on eBay in the amount of $10 to $50 dollars.
I email, and called Wal-Mart. I am never given a reason, or a refund. Just we can not give you details into the matter.
Again I know part of this is my fault. If something is too good to be true, it probably is. I know this… but my frustration is if Wal-Mart has an issue with someone buying Gift card with E-gift. The transaction should be stopped at checkout. I would have never collected $366 dollars worth of E-cards.
I also upset, why did they wait until I collected $366 dollars in gift cards, before voiding them all? Given I also used about $200 dollars already in the Wal-Mart stores.
Customer’s service has no reason not say anything… But I will never shop at Wal-Mart again. I know it’s like someone not going McDonalds (they could care less about one person). I just hope someday. Wal-Mart gets greedy with power…. Because one person, in time can become millions, and once trust is broken. Who cares about saving pennies… when they taken hundreds.

IF YOUR GONNA GIVE ME A GIFT CARD SUPPOSEDLY FOR FREE, WHY DO I HAVE TO ORDER OTHER THINGS TO GET IT?
crappy products
It seems that I am finding myself settling for whatever it is they have that is similar to what I used to buy. Coincidently, when I start to like a product and buy it often, the store stops selling it and trys to sell something similar, cheaper brand, but not cheaper in price, and leaving me with no options.
For example, I bought pre-cooked pancakes, that you microwave and the brand name I don't know. I bought a bag at least once a week and now our Walmart is only selling the Great Value brand of this product. The reason why I am not happy with that is because I've tried a couple products of this brand name and 2 out of the 3 that I tried were garbage. If they are going to be selling this crappy Great Value product, they should still leave us with another option but of a different brand.
One Example: I bought the bag of Great Value chicken nuggest to deep fry and they are made so crappy, that you can deep fry them forever and they don't even get a crunchy outside.
This walmart is getting cheap and greedy and I wish they never opened this so called Super Center. I am finding myself shopping for most of my groceries at our nearest grocery store now instead of Walmart.

misleading customers
Today I shopped at Wal-Mart Apex, NC (store 3889) to buy a BluRay player. In the store I found 7 players on display, under every player a set of boxes for the units on display. Out of those 7 there was one Samsung player on display for 128 roll back (No original price listed on the tag) and there was one set of boxes for Samsung right underneath the player. When I came to the register to pay, the cash register showed $168 as the price instead of the advertized $128. I asked for customer service and walked over with customer services rep Mona. Once we arrived at the electronics section Mona understood my confusion and called a person from the electronics department to explain. They were also surprised and tried to find the reason for the price difference. After Mona and two reps from electronics department have searched they found that the model number was different and they called in store manager Rick.
Rick felt that because the advertized model was sold out, and although the sold model was not advertized, even though there was no clear indication to see the difference (even employees from the electronics department were confused), that I should have read the model number on the tag and compared it to the box. I expressed to the assistant store manager that I felt mislead and that they were selling a different model then they were advertizing, but his defense was that the advertized model was out of stock and they hadn't restocked it yet and therefore he couldn't help me. "I am sorry but the part number is different and I can't help you.” was his defense. I expressed to him I was unhappy but he felt that was my choice. Mona from Customer service understood why I was confused and why I felt mislead, but she had been overruled by a higher ranking manager and she couldn't help any further. This is the first time I had an issue after years of shopping at Wal-Mart but I am very unhappy about how this was dealt with by the store manager, he was clearly annoyed with the interruption and couldn’t was adamant why I wasn’t mislead.
I feel mislead and purely out of principle I will find somewhere else to purchase my BluRay player, but I am also disappointed that a Wal-Mart has assistant store manager couldn’t even try to understand the confusion.

it sounds like he understands your confusing but you dont understand if the product number is diffrent they cant change that price it would hurt the emplyees more than you customers are always lazy and sit stuff down in the wrong places every time wal-mart does a price change it goes against employees bounus even the ones who did not make that mistake think about that
I am absolutely disgusted with their employees
I contacted various stores in the Chicago area in order to determine whether or not they had a particular item in stock. One store (#5402) was especially bad as they put me on hold for half an hour before I finally just called back and asked to talk to a manager. The manager said they would go see if my product was in their store, but 2 minutes later I heard a click as they hung up on me. I am absolutely disgusted with their employees. They are of virtually no help and insist on being snappy and sassy when they talk to you. Luckily I have plenty of other places I can shop. I guess you get what you pay for?

The documentary is called "Walmart - High Cost for Low Prices" Do a search on video google for it. Its there for free. Relatives of the man you are talking about now have most of the shares in the company. Corporate greed and money have taken a front seat over quality/service/reasonable pay for employees. But people want the cheapest deals, so they keep putting up with it..well some at least. There are smaller towns that are constantly boycotting new walmart stores being built. Its up to us as citizens to a) not buy stuff at walmart or b) get involved politically to prevent further stores from opening. I don't think everyone working for walmart is evil but from hearing what most employees say about walmart excluding management. It sounds like a hell hole.
I have had too many to count bad, rude, etc. experiences with wal-mart. I think it's getting worse and worse over the years and it all has to start with the attitudes of their employees! The way they talk to customers, handle situations, answer phones, etc.
I've seen a documentary on wal-mart and how bad everything about it is getting. It also talked about the guy who origonally began and built the very first wal-mart. I guess he was a really great guy who was very giving and just wanted to give people the very best for their money as well as only wanting the best for his employees who then were always great, well deserving employees who knew how to treat a customer and provide great service.
If only he was still around to see what has happend and is happening to his store! He would be ashamed at whoever is running it all now and hiring the rudest most incapable people they can come across!
I have really had some bad customer service experiences at wal mart
With 4 children 9 and under, I feel that the best deals for groceries and non food items are at WalMart, not to mention one stop shopping with limited time. I have tried to not go there and shop at Publix or Kroger but the grocery bill by itself is outrageous. Unfortunately, I have really had some BAD customer service experiences at Wal Mart.
I live in Gainesville, GA and shop at either that Wal Mart or the one in Dahlonega, GA only 25 min. away. We moved back to GA in 2006 so I have been shopping at both (mainley Dahlonega due to being less crowded) every 2 to 3 weeks drop between $500 and $600 most of the time. Around 3 years ago, I was in the Gainesville Wal Mart with my youngest (he is only 3 1/2 now). I was under the gun as usual to get finished and get to school to pick up the other 3 kids. I normally get non food items 1st and have the Customer Service Desk hold the cart for me while I finish shopping. That day, I went to checkout and get my other cart and they had used it for go-backs. I was so upset that I vowed to never go there again. Lord knows, I didn't want to go back another day after spending around 3 hours (avg. time) to shop. I literally cried because they had put back and mixed up almost all of it and I had a baby in the cart and had been there so long and of course was under the gun to get kids at school.
I decided to check out the Dahlonega store after that. It was less crowded and seemed to be better stocked. One day, I took my kids with me (all adopted from China and Korea)for just a few items and the cashier apparently didn't like the way my family looked. She had the meanest, glaring look on her face. Just behind me in line was another family (Dirty looking, kids with no shoes on their feet etc.) glaring as well. When the order ended, I realized the cashier had rung up their loaf of bread with my stuff. I had a divider between our orders but their bread had fallen onto my stuff. No big deal, BUT when I said "that is their bread" to the cashier, she literally said "ITS YOURS NOW!" Talk about stunned silence for a moment trying to take in what she had just said! That family didn't say one word either. I told her that it surely was not and she said that yes it was and that I had to go to the Customer Service desk to have it refunded. I still to this day cannot believe that she acted that way. Of course, I ranted to the Store Mgr. and that is how I got to know the nice CSM that day. We still laugh about that. Of course, she is still employed there and I wonder what they really did if anything to her for that.
Last night I went alone Dahlonega. First time in the evening. Hubby came home early so I could go alone. The visit was fine and I thought - Wow! Tues. evening (or any evening during the week) is very pleasant. After I filled 1 cart with non food (so my cold stuff won't stay out of the fridge/freezer so long) I took it to Customer Service and asked that they hold it for me. Now, mind you, I have learned that you do NOT listen to them when they say (and a CS person tells me this EVERY Time) "Just put it over there, I will watch it for you". I learned over the past 3 1/2 years at both stores to ask for a piece of paper to write my name on and tape it to the cart so that it won't be put back. It also happened once at this store as well as Gainesville. They roll their eyes when I insist on doing that. Well, not only do I write my name, but I put 'PLEASE DON'T RETURN, STILL SHOPPING AND THE DATE AND TIME". What more do these people need?! When I got up to the checkout last night, my stuff at "Lack of" Customer Service had been separated and some already put back. I was LIVID! It was 8pm and I had been in the store for 3 hours. I lost it! Those employees(including the one that told me just to put it over there and she would watch it) STARTED BLAMING ME! I was in tears. The Mgr. Tom came over and I was pointing and yelling because they actually had the nerve to tell me that I should have gotten one of their signatures on that piece of paper! HOW ABSOLUTELY RIDCULOUS! They opened another register Thank God-because they only had 2 open!) to check me out. I was furious and just wanted to get out of there. If only I could stand to walk away and leave everything, but that is so hard to do with limited time as a mother and the time I already invested. Then the one that checked me out told me that I SHOULD HAVE HAD THEM PUT IT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THAT PEOPLE FOR CAMPS ETC. HAVE MULTIPLE CARTS ALL THE TIME. So I said "you mean to tell me that there is a 'SPECIAL' place for multiple carts. I wanted her to understand why I was so upset. She was mad and said she didn't want to argue with me. There was NO ARGUMENT that I am aware of. None of them wanted to take responsiblity and put the blame on me! I was shaking. She gave me the receipt and never said thank you. The Mgr. really didn't know what to do. I don't remember hearing anyone say they were really sorry. Customers were staring. It was SICK! I drove up for my $600 worth of stuff and the cashier that rang me up walked out with me with the 2 carts and asked if I needed any help. I told her she didn't have to and she turned around and walked away. I really didn't want her or anyone else around me while I loaded my $600 of stuff. I just wanted to get out of there asap! I called the Mgr. in my car as I was driving off and had calmed down a little. I wanted him to understand why I was so livid. He was very apologetic and said there was no such thing as getting their signature on my piece of paper etc. He said that he hoped I continue to shop with them. I told him how embarrassed I was and that I was sorry that I got so upset. I let him know that his lovely employees inflamed the situation by coming up with new ways that it was my fault. I own a business now and also worked at Winn-Dixie for 6 1/2 years thru high school and college and NEVER can imagine blaming a customer. Heck! I don't blame customers to their face when it IS their fault. The Mgr. claimed they would go over this and figure out a better way to deal with multiple cart customers. I am shaking now as I type this because it still makes me mad.
I have been overcharged or double-charged for items as well at both stores which other posters have mentioned. It is EXTREMELY important to go over the receipt especially when purchasing so many items.
I have gotten some mileage and laughs off my Wal Mart stories with my friends (especially the loaf of bread) but I feel trapped because I would LOVE to shop at Publix all the time but I just can't stand the bill! Also would probably still have to go to Wal Mart for non-food stuff and that would be 2 places to shop instead of getting it over with in one visit. It is truly a thorn in my side every 2 to 3 weeks. HELP!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
No matter how well meaning they are about being willing to watch your cart, it isn't actually their job to do so. If other customers need assistance, they have to help them and may have to take their eyes off of your cart.
I would recommend either bringing a second adult with you so you can have 2 carts at once, or separating your shopping into separate trips to begin with instead of trying to do that much shopping all at once. I can't even imagine spending 3 hours shopping, as much as I hate shopping, I couldn't do it. I'd rather buy just what I need and go a couple times a week rather than buying a month's worth of stuff in one day.
There was no need to have the front hold your item.. you could have left it in your cart.. some of this amounts to common sense.. it isn't their job to babysit your items.
3 hours to shop? how old are you? I would understand if the customer was in her 60-90's, trust me they do shop this long for half a cart. As someone said, the service desk is for returns. Maybe you should of bought your non food items first and then load it into your car and return to the store for food items. Ever thought of that? Better than being frustrated when you load all of that stuff for 2 hours and then get put away. Some customers do that.
transfer request about a year
walmart, cynthiana, ky-refuses to transfer a male out of a department-{receiving} for about a year may son has been trying to get transfer out. He wants to stay with the company but they (management are

I called today, i talked to Tracy and was pretty much told to stay out of the issue. im sorry i can't stay
out of it. i hate to see him leave walmart over not been able to transfer to another deptmart, and there are several openings in this store.
WHAT HAPPEN TO WALMART TAKING CARE OF THE EMPLOYEES?
Should i see a lawyer?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
If he is trying to transfer to another store then he should contact the store he is looking to go to. They would be more informed on what positions were open and available for him. I would encourage him to call and be persistent. If the personnel manager can not help him at his store, he should ask an assistant manager over the area he wants to go to, to see if there is any possible way to move to that position. If the assistant manager can not help he should continue to work up the chain. I would encourage him to not skip any steps though. That is something the assistant manager or shift/co manager would be able to handle.
