I recently scheduled an appointment at the Navarre, Florida Walmart Auto Center to have the oil changed on my 2019 Ram 1500. I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in, and completed all required paperwork. I was told to return in one hour. When I came back, I was informed that my appointment had been changed to a walk‑in without my knowledge, and that I would need to wait an additional hour.
After speaking with the manager, the only explanation offered was that a change in my phone number caused the issue. His only solution was to offer me another appointment the following day, and he made no effort to correct the mistake or honor the original appointment time.
This is not the first problem I’ve had with this Auto Center.
On one visit, the shop ran out of oil and asked me to purchase oil from another vendor so they could complete the service.
On another visit, the team was unable to properly balance my tires after three attempts. A different Walmart completed the same job in 30 minutes on the first try.
At this point, “I’M SORRY” is not an acceptable response. Repeated mistakes show a lack of accountability and professionalism. When a customer’s time is wasted due to staff errors, the appropriate remedy is to provide the service at no charge.
My recommended resolution:
Make individuals financially responsible for their errors and provide the service free of charge.
Claimed loss: Loss of time
Desired outcome: When a customer’s time is wasted due to staff errors, the appropriate remedy is to provide the service at no charge.Make individuals financially responsible for their errors and provide the service free of charge.
