If you're not from Louisville and you need to get a medication refilled, steer clear of the Walgreens at Lime Kiln Lane in Louisville, KY. I was in Louisville for training for state employment and I chose this Walgreens to get my medication refilled. I did a Zoom appointment with my doctor on a Tuesday evening and she told me she would call my medicine in at this Walgreens location. I asked her if I would have any problems getting my meds filled in Louisville due to me being from out of town. She assured me there would be no problems because the prescription was going to be filled in the same state (Kentucky) that it was written. I asked her if I could get my medicine refilled the next day which was Wednesday and she told me "Yes." The very next day when I got a break from training I called the Walgreens to see if they had received my prescription and to see if they could fill it and I would pick it up on my lunch break. Instantly I began to get this attitude from the lead pharmacist Jerri, as she told me she couldn't fill my prescription. I asked why and she told me the insurance wouldn't pay for it. I told her I would pay cash for it because my pharmacy back home had let me do that for several years. She told me, "That doesn't even make sense." She continued to say things that made me feel like she was profiling me even though I had been honest with her. After needlessly going back and forth with her for several minutes she eventually told me "Call your doctor and have her to submit a prescription that states that you can pay cash for your medication and that it is ok to fill it today." She told me if my doctor submitted another prescription stating that information she would fill my medication. So I did. I spent the next two hours waiting and wondering what the hell was going on. I called Walgreens pharmacy two separate times within an hour and a half to check if my doctor had submitted the new prescription. Both times the lead pharmacist, the lady I had talked to earlier, rudely told me "No." and hung the phone up. So once again I call my doctor to see if her office had submitted the new prescription and they assured me it would be sent to the pharmacy. I wait another 30 minutes, step away from training to call Walgreens and this time a male pharmacist answers. I tell him my name and why I'm calling and he replies, "That could have been filled this morning. Sure I can fill that for you. I have it in stock." I asked if I could pick it up that day when I left training and he replied, "Yes, you can pick it up today." So, foolishly I believe him and think all this [censored] is over with and I return to class to finish training for the day. About twenty minutes later I get a call from my doctor while I'm in class. Again, I step into the hallway and answer the call and my doctor says, "Jeremy, I have some bad news. I just got a call from the lead pharmacist at that Walgreens and she told me she would not fill your medication today." We talked for a long time and she criticized me in just about every way she could. She even told me that I didn't care about my patients and that I was running an unsafe practice." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My doctor apologized to me several times and I told her it wasn't her fault. So, even after I jumped through all the hoops the lead pharmacist wanted me to and even after telling me to have my doctor submit a second prescription that stated I could pay cash for my prescription and it could be filled that day, now I'm told she won't fill it. After I left training for the day I stopped by Walgreens on my way to my hotel to ask the lady why my medication couldn't be filled and she got very rude with me. She told me because I wanted to pay cash for my prescription she saw that as a red flag even though she called my pharmacy back home and requested the last fill date on my medication. I found out later after calling my pharmacy that she had asked personal questions about me lol. After going back and forth for at least six minutes she says, "We can fill your prescription on Friday but you're not getting it today. We don't even have it in stock." I looked at her with absolute disgust. I told her "After everything you've had me do and wasting an entire day trying to jump through your hoops, even causing me to miss significant training time for my job, you're going to stand here and tell me you don't have my medication in stock when earlier you told me to have my doctor submit a prescription with the info you requested and now you suddenly don't have it in stock?" What bs are you going to put me through on Friday to keep me from getting my meds?" She replies, "Nothing. You can get it filled on Friday." So, Friday comes and I call the Walgreens pharmacy to check on my prescription. The automated system says Walgreens had to order my medication and I would be notified when it was ready. Fed up and strapped for time because I'm in training, I talk to a pharmacist and they tell me my medication had to be ordered and it wouldn't be there until 11:30 am and it would be ready to pick up after 1:30 pm. At this point I'm done. I tell the lady I'm in training and I don't have the opportunity to drive back and forth all day and I need to pick my meds up at noon when I'm on my lunch break. The lady responds with "We'll do our best to have it filled for you by then." I politely thanked her and hung up. On my lunch break I stopped at Walgreens went directly to the pharmacy and requested my medication. The lady at the register checks the bin behind her that contained completed prescriptions and doesn't find my prescription. She turns to the lead pharmacist who is working on prescriptions in the back and asks if she has a prescription for me. Jerri had my prescription laying beside of her on a counter as if she was watching it. The prescription was completed and the bag was stapled closed just like all the other completed prescriptions in the bin behind the register. I paid for my prescription and I couldn't leave that hell hole fast enough. I feel like Jerri profiled me and judged me from the moment she received my prescription. Everytime I talked to her on the phone her tone and attitude was very snobby. I was as honest as I could be with her and she acted like I was a criminal. The things she said to my doctor and the things she asked my regular pharmacist was extremely unprofessional. I filed a complaint on her and hopefully she'll be held accountable for her actions but I doubt it. I have read numerous reviews and complaints on here about her so it seems to be a frequent occurrence with her. One thing is for sure, I'll never step foot in the Walgreens on Lime Kiln Lane in Louisville, KY.
