Unsafe operation of stop and shop delivery vans
I am a regular customer of your Farmingville, NY 11738 store. Store #0562. I have been shopping here every Saturday morning for years. I love shopping here. Everyone is always so nice and I always have a pleasant experience. Well until this morning. March 11 2023 approximately 8:50 am.
As I was coming out of the store after shopping this morning. I see, not one, but two of your giant delivery vans. Not only cutting through the parking lot, but actually squeezing between parked vehicles of shoppers.
At the time from my vantage point, it looked like the first van could have hit a car. as he pulls away I see a huge dent in the car he was close to.
I go back into the store to report the incident to the manager on duty. I believe his name was Sean. He was completely dismissive to me. First he says well there are no cameras out here. There must be at least a dozen cameras in front of this store. Then he says to me, "look I'm not going to review tapes if your not sure if the van hit the car". I said what if they did, and more importantly. Why are these vans cutting through the parking lot in the first place? Cutting through parking spaces is illegal, and why are they so close to customer vehicles. Sean dismissed me further, Saying, "I'm not reviewing any tapes, if your not sure". I asked Sean for his supervisors name and he refused to give it to me and walked away.
Desired outcome: Your van drivers need to be reprimanded for the incident. they need to understand the law and the responsibility of driving a large vehicle.Me, I have to assume Sean, being your manager, is acting in your interest.
Digital coupons
I am a senior citizen and have trouble loading these on my phone. I think u should make it easier for seniors to access them. Most of the time I don't get the flyer on time for the 3 day specials so I miss out on them. Could u send the new flyers sooner ? Like that you have great sales but if I can't put them on my phone they are no good to me. Thank you for your time.

Undervalued, underestimated, and marginalized!!!
To whom it may concern,
The following is a brief description of my disturbing experience this morning at the seafood counter at my local Stop & Shop (store #2579, Belle Harbor, NY).
As I approached, I noticed the outstanding gentleman that usually assists me was not present. After greeting the young man at the counter (his response was ridiculously poor 🤦🏽♂️), I asked for what I usually get; 5 pounds of Salmon, skin removed, sliced in 2” cubes. He repeats my order and said, give me a couple minutes. I told him, no problem, I’m going to shop and will be back. After approximately 25 minutes I returned. After waiting several minutes, the young man appears from the back freezer; I asked is the fish order done? He says; “Oh, I can do it right now” …WHAT! - UN… BELIEVABLE! Who trains these young people/new hires? My response; Forget it, I’m good, and proceeded to walk away. As I am walking away, he continues to talk to me; “I can do it right now” (at least three times 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️) - so, so, poor customer service 🤦🏽♂️ That’s almost a $60 loss for Stop & Shop b/c of arrogance, incompetence, and poor training.
Stop & Shop, as a courtesy to loyal customers, I encourage you to address said poor workers that make customers want to look for a new shopping venue, as well as infringe on your bottom line b/c of the aforementioned negative scenario I experienced today.

Lack of stock
Hello. I would like to leave a comment/complaint about stop and shop located in Shirley N..Y. It’s in the south port shopping center on Montauk Highway. Quite honestly the store has become a dump. Over the last 6 months the store has nothing in stock. Just a few examples produce shelves are empty and when you are lucky enough to find what you are looking for it’s beyond sellable. It’s not just fruits and vegetables. Meat Department has (when the store has it) the sell buy date is the date I’m shipping or expired. On a lucky day you can find some Milk dates questionable as well. The entire store has little to nothing in stock. I been a long time customer of stop and shop but I will not being shopping there anymore. I drive down the road to K.K in center moriches n.y. And what a difference. Fully stocked. Everything fresh. I don’t know what happened to the stop and shop in Shirley NY but I know im not just the only one in the community that will be taking our business elsewhere
organic broccoli
I've been shopping at Stop and Shop in Maspeth NY forever.
For a while the broccoli was $3.99 a lb from $3.29 then few weeks ago it was $5.99 a bunch ok. then it went back to $3.99 a lb. but I was charged $5.99 a lb.
I went to customer service and was refunded the over charge.
Next week the price for broccoli was still $3.99 a lb aganin I was charged $5.99
a lb. again I went to customer service and got a refund. I spoke to produce manager and explained the over charge and felt that the register still had the $5.99 per lb. as was that one week marked per bunch, The manager felt that's inflation and price could go up $2.00 per pound that's a big jump even with inflation. Now this week I go do my weekly shopping and see that broccoli was marked $5.99 per lb. is that possible? That a $3.99 item jumps to $5.99? There was no mention of a problem with growing broccoli if so maybe you could explain it. I will miss my broccoli.
Desired outcome: I hope this is resolved.
Complaint against employee
Hello my name is James Coleman. My wife and I have been shopping at our local Stop and Shop in Larchmont, NY for over twenty years. But I have a serious complaint. There is a male employee named Tommy that has been sexually harassing my wife. It has become so bad that she refuses to shop alone there. My wife describes him as a male black between 50 to 60 years old. She says that it started a couple of years ago and thought the man was joking but now he has become aggressive and asked my wife when she was getting divorced so they can get together. This is extremely out of place. She just wants to shop for the family without being harassed, especially by an employee. I would file a complaint at the store but I know from speaking with manager in the past that it will go nowhere. The latest incident occurred yesterday February 2, 2023 at approximately 330pm.
Desired outcome: The employee needs to be reprimanded. Sexual harassment is not a joking matter.
Mishandling food and poor service
Customer Care:
I would like to report what I consider to be poor and dangerous handing of food at the wing bar.
I stopped on 1/24/23 to grab some staples items before the snow being predicted by the local weather men. I grabbed some wings from the wing bar after some deli meats as a quick dinner. They were labeled plain wing dings. When I got home and finally able to sit down to eat dinner @ 7:40 pm approximately 4 hours after grabbing a quick dinner.
To my surprise the wings that were labeled plain wings were in fact spicy wings, wings I was not able to eat. So in place of a quick dinner i in fact had mislabeled food that I could not eat.
From here to keep it short, upon contacting the store I have 2 issues to discuss.
First being poor and improper foot labeling for prepared food. For this issue I will be filing a complaint with the Massachusetts retail and food safety for mislabeled and improperly labeled prepared food. And as far as food allergies go you are very lucky to have not have had a customer who suffered from that issue.
I only bring this up because the 3 people at the store I spoke to never showed any concern about the mishandling of the food or the mislabeled food. Neither manager address this Now I-need to take that back. The customer service counter did apologize for it before transferring me to Tina the Manager on Duty when I called to discuss it the issue the first time. As noted I spoke to Tina and a next time spoke to Reggie who was very rude about the issue as if he did not believe me.
As far as the customer service. The wings cost a total of $7.69 and both managers were steadfast that I can only get my $7.69 back is to physically bring my $7.69 receipt back. I did tell them both I am not a regular Stop and Shop customer so it out of my routine to go back. Reggie especially was almost grilling me about if I was a customer to the point where I had to remind him he was doing nothing to make me want to shop there.
Since they have refused multiple times to issues me a gift card in the mail I will keep the receipt with me and get my $7.69 back as I will not jump through their hoops but will not let them off the hook.
I will update my social media accounts personal and professional and ask for my contacts to update their contacts to be updated. People’s do need to know how much the corporation really does not value the customer.

Netspend Prepaid Card
I want to file a complaint at Stop and Shop in Bedford Massachusetts. My son accidently got a Netspend Prepaid Card on January 10th. He thought it was a gift card. Stop and Shop had it activated. He is 13 years old. And I thought you had to be 18 years old to get one. So everytime he tries to use it, it declines. He has $125.00 on the card. We went back to Stop and Shop and the manager said he can not do anything about it. And I told him why does he have the Netspend card if you can not use it. I am very frustrated. We are a loyal customer at Stop and Shop and I hate to complain. But I would like this resolved. I also called Netspend and they couldn't help me either. Please let me know what I need to do further.

Store setup
Hi,
I just wanted to let you how unhappy I am with what you did at the store in Mashpee,Ma. 02649 zip code.
This is worst isle set up I’ve ever seen,nothing is easy to find,you have laundry detergent and juices in the same isle,you also have granola and soap in the same isle,I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. I just came from that store and normally it’s very busy,but not today and I’m sure that has something to do with it,and how can you have two registers open on a Sunday morning,that’s insane and the sad part is that even employees don’t know what isle certain items are.
It’s very disappointing because I won’t be going there and I’m willing to drive for 20 minutes to go to another store.

I went to the stop n shop in Southington CT this morning on 12-28-2023 at 8;00am. The person working in the deli had all kinds of dog or cat hair all over the back of their shirt. I mean it was covered.There was only one person working. Also, the stop n shop apron that he was wearing didn't look like it was washed in a long time absolutely filthy.
I find this totally unacceptable with someone handling food would look this dirty. I think that stop n shop should hold their employees to at least a decent sanitary standard.

Honestly, stores should supply clean aprons and jackets to their associates instead of leaving it up to 18 yo kids to wash my their clothes everyday.
Coupons and in store sales advert
Kinnelon NJ. Went to purchase Coke 12 ounce 12 pack cans. In store is buy 2 get 1 free, on-line is buy 2 get 2 free marked at $5.99 I ask the service person and they were not clear on which price was valid. Stop & Shops sale ads are so confusing I just abandoned my car and left the store, Not worth the hassle. Called their customer service, very polite but completely useless.
Intermittent blocking from site
Good morning!
for the past few months, I have been intermitently blocked from the online site. I have not been able to log in. Customer service has been very copperative in addressing this issue by informing the tech team; however, to no avail. The fix is not stabilized. Please address this issue. I have been a long time loyal customer. This is a lifeline for senior citizens.

The restrooms at the Route 6A Sandwich, MA facility
There is an ongoing problem with the restrooms at this particular store.
The toilet paper holders are defective-so they took the fronts of the receptacle off and just leave the exposed giant rolls on the rollers-which have no means to contain the paper. So every time someone grabs the paper and pulls on it to unravel it-the giant roll falls off and rolls across the restroom floor. And I am sure that those contaminated rolls are not thrown away. They just pick them up and put back on the broken receptacle.
I find it disgusting that the paper is left this way and that they expect customers and workers to use the contaminated paper.
I always use my own tissues if I have to use the Ladies room because I have witnessed many times rolls of paper across the room.
This has been the case for at least 4-5 months. They had the same problem a few years ago and only fixed it when I complained to the health board, which
I will do again if S&S cannot rectify the problem.
I have many options to do my grocery shopping with and spend a lot of money at the 2 S&S stores in my town.
I would appreciate the common courtesy of a clean and safe restroom if I need to use it while shopping.

Fuel Savings
This has happened multiple times. I save my Stop & Shop receipt showing I get 40 or 60 cents per gallon in fuel savings, but when I go to the gas station and scan in my Stop & Shop card it only gives me 20 cents off per gallon. This happens even though the date when "points earned today expire" is still a week or more away. However, if I buy gas within a day or two of getting the Stop & Shop receipt, then I get the full cents off as shown. Is there a certain time limit for getting the full fuel savings?
Desired outcome: Tell me how quickly I need to use my fuel savings to get the full cents off as shown on my Stop & Shop receipt.

Rewards, coupons and customer service
We shopped at miller place store on 1-13-23 points balance 351. Today at gas station showed zero. After waiting for 44 customers ahead of me when calling [protected]. The rep said we have 351 points. I asked what to do? She said whatever you choose, it is probably a system failure. I asked how I get the digital discounts if we don't use a computer or iPhone, we have a flip phone and cant get the same discounts? She said, then you don't get the discounts.
What kind of service is this? My customer card number is available if you need it

Disrespectful service rude, hostility from the very manager imanager of the store, joe staudt
Your cashier was rude and disrespectful to me all because I asked her (a fat black [censored]), to call a Porter because something spilled. When 2 or 3 customers complained to her about taking her sweet [censored] privileged black [censored] time, I called the manager, and he was hostile to me in my face, very loud and confrontational. And he refused to identify the employee who deleted her info from the receipt.

Employees not masked
When employees don’t wear masks even after the State of CT health dept has issued a High Level Covid Alert, I’m disgusted.
I don’t care your employees feel about masking when the State has a new Covid outbreak like we do know S&S should grow some balls and mandate masking for public safety especially for seniors shopping in your stores. We keep you in business.

Disrespectful service and criminal use of credit card authorization
I was waiting online with my mother and some fruit fell on the floor so I asked the cashier to call a Porter. Instead, she grabbed a broom and started sweeping as slow as she possibly could. It's on video.
I complained to the manager and he was hostile to me. She ignored me completely, as you can see in the video, and the manager added to my feeling threatened by both of them when he incorrectly inflated the amount of bags I used to overcharge me, and he wasn't even near the packing area. I then intended to pay for the groceries but the elderly woman I was with accidentally inserted her credit card, and when I realized this I went to press 'cancel' on the pin-pad to SPITE ME!
It's on the video. The manager refused to give me her employee ID, which she cleverly deleted from the receipt.
I left one thing out.
When I went to cancel the transaction, the cashier pressed the acceptance key faster than I could cancel, just to SPITE ME.
You seem pretty ridiculous,clearly harassing the workers. Shame on you. And sometimes you get what you deserve.
Rewards
Somerset branch, head cashiers and cashier (not cashier fault) did not know that if it states gas points on receipt and you do not have a Go rewards account that you do not have to designate the points to Go account or gas points.
Why do all senior level employee's at corporations seem like educated idiots.
I did get the answer to my question by a service desk employee who to the time to help with common sense.
Desired outcome: UPDATE YOUR POLICIES they should state if you don't have Go Rewards it will go to gas points or vice versa.

went shopping this morning which i have been doing every sunday when you open store today was1/8/23 needed some beef for stew none on the shelfs no workers around to ask so i went to SHOP-RITE they had it while i was walking into shop-rite another one of your customers was going into the store i said what are you here she said same thing you are here i am going to get some meat that they 'didn't have at STOP and SHOP
