Ross Dress for Less store

I just visited the Ross store on Milwaukee in Boise Idaho and they had just polished the floors. The fumes from the chemicals they used were so overwhelming they actually made me sick to my stomach and gave me a severe headache. Breathing in all those fumes is not healthy for anyone there was no doors open for ventilation I actually didn't even finish shopping. I'm really upset about the fact of being exposed to such strong chemicals and making me sick.

Ross Dress for Less customer service

Poor quality customer service is a standard here at my local Ross dress for less store.

I understand how working there must be a super boring chore. Doubt they pay more than minimum wage. Albeit, you have a job dealing with customers put on your happy smiling face and don't be a [censored].

If you have a designated area for a line... put a [censored]ing sign up.

Ross Dress for Less black purse I purchased on saturday october 26,2019

Been happy with your store. I purchased a black purse sat October 26, 2019. I love the purse. So today I was shopping with my mom with my new purse 10/29/19 when my shoulder strap broke. Was very upset. Told the cashier. He wasn't even sympathetic. Said you need your receipt or the ticket. Unfortunately I didnt save it as nothing has ever broke that I bought from your store. I know the purse was only 14.99. I came home and cut the strap. I will have to use it till I can find another one. I know nothing will be done. Just had to vent.

Ross Dress for Less an employee names erin

it was about 11:10 am on Tuesday October 29th 2019, I was in the checkout line, the line was long and there was a line for returns as well. there was only one employee at the register. her name was Erin and she looked to be about 40 years old. I asked her politely if there were any other employees that could help with the lines, she told me there was only one other employee working and that she was on her break. when I got to the register I said you know I highly doubt theres only one other employee working here that would be rather unprofessional and she said "that's okay you dont have to believe me" I then said I could have been home by now studying, she responded by saying "then maybe you should be home studying instead". I told her that she was being rude and she responded by saying "oh I'm never rude to customers", other customers were chuckling at the way she was treating me in disbelief. she was rude and unprofessional I dont ever want to go back there and have to interact with her again.

Ross Dress for Less manager

On Thursday 10/17 my family and I were in the Ross store around 10pm. While walking through the store a girl came up and tried reaching in my husbands pocket. He felt the tug and looked at her. She walked away. We went up to the register to buy our stuff and asked the cashier to talk to the manager. She called for a Stephanie. We asked if it was a short girl and she said yes. We said Nevermind because that was the one that had done it. We told the cashier about it and she gave us the store manager information. Why would you let a manager go around in peoples pockets. We will not be shopping there again.

Ross Dress for Less lack of incident report at the store

I was shopping and walked to the register to pay for my items. I bumped my foot on one of the shelves that was on the floor in the middle of the aisle. I paid for my items and checked on my toe and was in pain. I asked the cashier for the supervisor and she didn't do anything. I asked her to file an incident report and waited for her to return. After a long time she came back and provided me a blank piece of paper to write my contact info and what happened to my foot. The supervisor's name is Sonia and the SPS is Roman. I'm very disappointed. I decided to go to the urgent care to have my foor examined. They x-rayed it and told me I have a fracture in my right big toe. I will have to wear a boot for a month because if this.

Ross Dress for Less blue jeans

Today I wanted to complaining about the SECURITY at Ross store # 0175 at San Jose next to Walgreens and TK Noodle. On Tuesday 10/22/2019 at 3:40 pm, the SECURITY was waiting for me after I got out from fitting room trying on 2 pair of jeans . He told me to hung up the 2 pair of jeans and he was searching it . I didn't do anything wrong . It was really kind hurting my feelings and I'm very mad and very upset. This security is an ASSO . He didn't tell me why he was searching my jeans . I am shopping there all the time and until today, I was having a problem with the security ASSO. I would never shopping at that store no more! I really dnt know maybe the Asian women at the fitting room calling the security . Maybe she thought I was stealing something. I was asking her if I could used the restroom and then I put 2 pair of the jeans on the shopping blue basket there. Then she said sorry restroom out of service and I said ok . So I told I wanted to try on the 2 pair of jeans and she grabbed those jeans and put the hungers on. I said why you put hungers on I'm going to try it on and she said it a store policy and I said ok. Later security there waiting for me and searching the jeans. I hope the Ross corporate office fired this Asian women and that Security guy .

Ross Dress for Less cashier # 523918

I went to return an item bought from another ross store..the associate gave a little old woman ahead me a hard time. Then when it was my turn she scratched off the tag of pair of shoes and told me sorry I can't return these, very rudely and impolitely. This associate should not be helping with customer service being rude especially to the elderly. This associate seemed like she just wanted to go on break and not assist other cashiers with the long line of checking out. This associate should be consulted with about her behavior. A!

Ross Dress for Less service

On 10/17/19 @ 7:30 pm, I went to do some Shopping and when I was ready to purchase my items, there was only 1 cashier, while many others (4 people) going back and forth, and no one help the other cashier. There were two people in the returns area and a security talking to each other, not about work, but just talking. It wasn't until I made a remark twice about how awful that Ross Store is very unattended. A cashier help me because she heard my remark and she was very polite and understanding (Eleana or Elana, cant renumber) she was very professional. I ask who the manager was and she pointed to one of the people standing in the return area, that manager should not be working there if she does nothing to help the patrons of the store and totally ignored the needs of our service. The bathroom at the store was as awful as a gas station bathroom, paper on the floor, urine smell and very dirty. I will not be shopping at the Store for a while, I am very disappointed in the service at this store. If the Manager doesn't care neither will her workers.

I hope this is taken care of immediately, I am very big on Customer Service, which this Store did not have any.

Ross Dress for Less service

I have been working at Ross for a few months now. We currently have new management. On three separate occasions I worked between 7 to 9 hours and was not given a break. I asked another supervisor about the rules on breaks and she said that if anyone works over 6 hours they get a mandatory break. I have health problems and need to sit down and eat and they didn't care. It is very stressful being here I was very weak and decided to go to a manager in a different department who told me that I could go. It's very disappointing how some of us are treated here.

Ross Dress for Less terrible customer service by cashier harpreet

I am a dentist and my wife's a eye surgeon we are currently work and resides in UK. We are usually visiting San Francisco premium Outlet store twice a year.
When we come here we visit to Ross to by some bags so this time as well we visited there to buy some hand luggage to put the stuff we bought from outlet.
There was a women called Harpreet on the counter when we have given our bags to her for billing what she did at the first place was checking the bags pretending we have stolen and hidden something inside bags .
Then once we done billing I asked her to remove the tags for me then she said we don't remove them for customers so you have to remove them you selves . So I removed them for myself and gave to her. Then what she said was this is not India you have to put them on garbage bin .it seemed like she was little bit racist for us. Being telling this is not India. We are not Indian we are Sri Lankans.
I think these kind of person should expelled from the store because we are not planning to visit Ross stores anymore to get bullyied.

Ross Dress for Less not being able to buy glasses

While I was finishing paying I saw some glasses that I love ..the glasses didn't have a price but one employee that was taking care of me and said there 4.98..
I responded with I'll take them ..the manager came over and said they couldnt sell them to me cause it didnt have a price tag..and that they had to go through a process to figure it out how much were they and to see if there was no damage to the glasses but other than that I told him I would have bought them to me it didn't matter if they were had damage or not...I shop in that location ..5 times a week ..and fore to get a ..No you can't buy. I was speechless don't I come here most of the time I couldn't believe it😞

Ross Dress for Less fitting rooms

Took my daughter shopping this evening to learn that the dressing rooms were closed and 2 new ones were upfront. We waited 25 minutes for my daughter to get into one of them. We were next in line. Several people behind us left with the wait. I understand they are cheaper then paying someone to stand in the back but the wait for two tiny dressing rooms in ridiculous. We will not be back!

Ross Dress for Less boots

I wanted to try on some boots that went up beyond my knee but I was wearing tight jeans and they didn't quite fit over the jeans. I could not pull the jeans up enough to try on the boots. So I asked if I could try them on in the dressing room but I learned it's a store policy not to allow shoes in the dressing room.
I talked to the manager on duty who repeated the rule.
So I couldn't justify purchasing the boots without getting to try them on.
Lost sale. Frustrated customer.

Ross Dress for Less wage theft and unethical management

I have worked at Ross Dress for Less for over a year now. The company is very hard on managers about payroll. Communication is terrible. Associates will be notified sometimes less than an hour before their shift starts that they have been cut. Sometimes I show up to work my shift after getting ready and driving to work, only to find out my shift has been cut when I try to clock in. Managers don't care, they say that's how retail is and to get used to it. I've worked in retail nearly 20 years, even companies like Walmart that has a terrible reputation for how they treat their employees. Ross is worse! They retaliate against you for calling the Alert Line, so always do so anonymously. Managers have each other's backs, not the backs of their employees. Their new favorite thing to do is to get employees on the closing shift to clock out early and continue working off the clock. They also tell you to not clock out and then punch in an earlier time than when you actually left. That is wage theft, and it is ILLEGAL, period. If you dispute it on your time card though you get in trouble for getting the manager in trouble. They cut your hours down to nothing in retaliation, hoping you'll find another job, because they know a lawsuit can come about of they actually fire you. This company has no integrity or standards. I just have too much other stuff going on in my life to look for a different job at the moment. Thinking of filing complaints with local labor boards, but I need my job. I live in a right to work state, so they can fire you for any reason.

Ross Dress for Less management

This store is always a mess. The associates here complain in front of the customers about how the managers are awful and lazy. I overheard them saying about how a female manager is always in the office and doesn't help them and how they dreaded closing with her because she is so lazy. They take forever to get jewelry and there is always a line. I love Ross's prices but I dislike this store. Maybe y'all should send the store manager back to training because she is doing an awful job.

Ross Dress for Less fitting rooms

I was attending a wedding this weekend and went to a Ross near me around 9pm Friday night. After sifting through I found a few dresses and wanted to try them on, however, the fitting rooms were blocked off and I was told they'd been closed for the night so that the associate could put clothes back out. Now I've worked in retail and understand the desire of starting things early in order to close and get out on time, but to close fitting rooms in a clothing store 2 hours prior to closing is absurd. The manager asked me, the customer, to wait while the associate finished her rack to let me in. So the clothes couldn't wait, it was better to have the customer stand around and wait instead, makes no sense and was not courteous. However, I simply said ok and went to wait in the back and the associate came along just a few minutes later and aggressively opened a section and said "come on ma'am!". I went in and tried on the pieces, thankfully I could because they did not fit properly, and then I left. On the way out despite the associate's attitude I still thanked her and she ignored. So I thought maybe she didn't hear me and as I passed her I said thank you again and she still didn't respond and neither did the manager when I said thank you and goodnight on my way out of the door. I love shopping at Ross, the deals are amazing, but I will absolutely not be shopping at that store ever again because it was completely unnecessary for them to treat me that way.

Ross Dress for Less worker

I recently went to this Ross and one of the workers was very disrespectful. I did not get her name but I'm pretty sure it was the manager since she was monitoring the people at the cash register. She was giving me dirty looks and demanded me to hurry up when my card has gotten declined. She also said and I state, " i dont understand if you don't have money, why do you come to buy things" very rudely. I will not be returning to that Ross ever again.

I went into ross to buy a few things i had a bag that was broken mind you i already bought things from ross and i asked if i could have another bag the woman made me feel like i did something wrong she said they don't give out bags if you dont buy anything from ross i bought 6 items so what was the problem no more will i go to that store i felt so ashamed

Ross Dress for Less my co-workers and m.. o. d and manager

Im working thieralmost 3months untill now... Im working hard right thier everything they want to do i'll always follow and make it even is not of my job... I dont have any complaint about that because I want to help my coworker and the store but after 2months they change it the atitude from me all of my coworker they talked all people worked in ross that they say im stilling the stuffs talked[censored] my personal life, and they say im using drugs, if I have more time in my shift I organize the shoes or box even do wet all my body and my tshirt I go to breakroom to make dry my tshirt and if my manager or m.O. D walked behind me they laughing at me and they go to other coworker to say what im doing at but the things I want to make chance or imrovement the store but they dont have approaching the one i'll make it... Even the manager they cannot desipline thier employeer and he listened or believed into my coworker but I told my manager why you dont check the camera if I have something wrong happen when I worked but they say nothing and he dont review it the camera... But for me they dont know I know who is the people steeling or I know the technic to steel the stuffs and and most of that they smoke weeds inside store or they go outside even do is not break only smoked weeds and come back again inside and after they tripping me so bad and talking [censored] in my back untill my house they bother they looking if what im doing.. I already told my store manager but they cannot change it untill my payroll or hrs and days I worked they dont care I already told my boss but they dont say nothing about that... All of them we dont team worked or nice relationship to the employeers.. They want it only make some money make some good stuffs from the store or and they want to promote thier self.. This useless right because the atitude its so very very very bad... They dont care the rules and regulation in the store only thier self only want make improvement and make change thier life but the store they dont care if they have shortage or something bad happen inside the store... For me almost 3months only I worked right thier but everything is I know already because I have skills for that.. Its easy for me because every move I put in my mind... But my coworker or other people worked right thier they dont know make nice good worker only shopping even do during the time of worked they dont care and the manager he know already this what happened but untill now its thesame... Thats why when I worked right im to shy because all of them just like thesame atitude and all of them they talking me [censored] and only me I worked hard... I have a lot of information about this store they dont know I get all of the wrong regulation and wrong schedule I have a lot of not good information.. But i' ll keep it all that... So this is my experience in my job even do they make not good for me and bad thinking about me im still ok for that even do im only one in worked thats ok for me because I dont have any bad doing in store and bad saying about my manager and coworker the first important is im working hard and I know my self even do they dont care everything to prove it im good employeer... Thats it I have a lot but I cant type in my phone because im so mad and im crying about that because I trust all of them all of my power or brain to change there store they dont care about.. Im sory bye I cant I cant type anymore... Please understand my situation
