I purchased a Cindy Crawford sectional in January of 2019. I also purchased the extended warranty with the furniture. I had to have them out 6/months after I purchased the furniture to repair one of the buttons in the furniture, no problem. About 6 months ago the couch started pulling apart at one seam and then another. I was not overly concerned because I had purchased the warranty through Fortegra just for this sort of thing. Called them on August 5th and guess what it is not covered. How is it possible that a couch that is 17 months old should be coming apart at the seams. And no one will cover it. This is unacceptable. We work full time jobs have no kids at home and have no pets, we are not rough on furniture and use it less than most. I feel when I have paid 1500 for a sofa it should last more than 17 months. I have purchased from Rooms to Go several times now and I am very disappointed in the quality of the couch they sold me and I will not purchase an extended warranty again. Very unhappy! Beware do not buy the couch several others have had the same problems!

I also had the same issue at about 15 months. I couldn’t believe it just literally started coming apart at the seams for no reason. It wasn’t cheap and now I am looking for a new sofa. I warn people constantly about this brand and I also bought the warranty which was a huge waste as well. Buyer’s beware don’t buy this brand, you may as well take your money and flush it!

Well I did hear back and as I was told in 2021 they are not going to do anything about the poor quality of furniture they sold me. So if this complaint is marked as resolved just know it was NOT RESOLVED! Furniture is crap and I intend to let everyone know!

Ditto! We have the same issue P Doering. The furniture is peeling. We bought the extended warranty from Fortegra . . . but they won't repair it. Peeling and a number of other issues (that should be covered) are not covered. Yet, we were told by the sales rep when we bought the sofa set and warranty that everything is covered. Why would a Rooms to Go couch that is not even 3 years old peel? And we've taken good care of it. Very disappointed like you.

I purchased a beauty turquoise green sofa, loveseat and ottoman (Cindy Crawford) 6 years ago, 2017. The loveseats right side panel is tearing & peeling, other pieces are fine.

Manager of RTG location where purchased advised out of warranty nothing he can do. He suggested I send pictures & message to corporate office, which I did. Again, told too bad out of warranty. Added, this item has been discontinued.

I will never purchase from RTG again & have reported to Florida Better Business Bureau.

Do not buy from RTG, they have inferior leather & do not care about customer service.

Similar story here. Only we paid $3500 for our sofa and ottoman. The little bb looking things in the ottoman kept falling out. And we had infants and toddlers at the time. When we called warranty, we were told they would be ordered, then someone would come out and install. 9 months later we called to follow up, and the parts were never ordered. So again they claimed they would be ordered and sent and installed. A few weeks later, we finally received the parts and called to schedule the installation, and we were told “oh that’s not covered under your warranty”. Never again. We paid extra and we’re promised “oh, EVERYTHING is covered” lies.
