Chairish Excellent Platform for Selling Antiques

I've been an antiques dealer for over 15 years at this point. And been on Chairish since 2017, they are hands down the best platform for selling antiques I've used and I've literally used them all (eBay, Etsy, Dibs, OKL, etc.) The 20% fee seems a bit harsh at first, but frankly where else can you list your entire inventory for free, have the platform handle ALL of the processing, customer service and shipping logistics, and only pay after the fact? Nowhere, that's where.

In short, love Chairish, looking forward to continuing to grow my business with it.

Chairish My best kept secret

I recently moved into a new home and Chairish has been my go-to source for adding new items that are unique yet affordable. I've sourced numerous things from Chairish including larger pieces (media console, night stands) to smaller decorative objects. They have a great curated selection of all styles and all of my pieces have arrived in perfect condition.

Not sure what all the negative reviews regarding shipping are for but their 3rd party for shipping has always been super prompt, and very easy to work with.

The shipping can be expensive but you can usually bid a lower price that off sets any of the fees.

Chairish Wow! My 1st purchase was just delivered!

I received my first purchase today. It is a triple chinoiserie dresser. I paid $650 for an exquisite piece of furniture. It arrived spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. The driver, Rod was very nice. I have 4 other pieces coming and I can hardly wait. I could never have found this without Chairish. I plan on selling some pieces, too. Chairish, you make furniture shopping amazing. While others are waiting 3 or months or more for pressed wood from inexpensive furniture stores, I am looking at my beautiful dresser that came in 2 weeks. I would love to keep you as my own secret furniture place, but that would be selfish. I hope everyone keeps up this kind of quality recycling.

Chairish Seller & Buyer and I love it

I've sold a few items and bought several through my shop BlackthornCo in Chicago. I truly don't understand why people are screaming in these comments. The images I can assure you are not photoshopped. In fact I was hoping they would help me with my lighting a little bit LOL. If you're unsure about an item I would ask the seller to add more photos. Maybe because I'm an honest seller and I only sell things that I would personally use in my home that these comments are so strange to me. But I truly depend on this site to sell excellent products and I know there are others like myself who use it to buy excellent products. I think a lot of the people on here sound really uptight and almost fake?

Chairish Another view point

I am a seller only. Will say I am appalled by what the unhappy buyers were sent and the condition it was sent in. I'd be livid too. Even though I don't own a store, I'm considered a 'professional'. This is why reviews are so important, not just for unhappy purchases. Downsized home and business and found myself with way too much of everything. So Chairish has been wonderful for me, where else could I sell and get a decent price for my quality pieces. I'm sorry for those who had a bad experience. But while Chairish is the platform, many (not all) issues are just bad sellers. 90% of my items I pay to have them packed. Sounds like many of these people are just too cheap to make sure your piece arrives in excellent condition.

Chairish Happy Happy Seller

I read a lot of reviews before we opened our shop and unfortunately reading the bad reviews almost steered us away from Chairish. I am so glad I took a chance and opened a shop. Its only been 4 months and our sales have increased by 42% being on Chairish. When normally in the Summer our business is slow as we run a business in Southwest Florida but because of Chairish we have been extremely profitable this Summer.
Some of these reviews I have a hard time understanding as we have had such amazing support and communication with Chairish. That it almost makes me believe that its just a "few bad apples" to leave bad reviews.
Who knows maybe I will have some issues but I truly believe if you are honest and upfront with your buyers and help them in any way you can then things work out in your favor and in the customers.

Chairish Mid 20th Century Oyster Shell Catchall: order # 551667

On 09/26/2020 I purchased a Mid 20th Century Oyster Shell Catchall for $125.00 with multiple photos on Chairish and complete description. I even e-mailed the store Scout Studios with questions. They respondid in regards to the item. About a week later UPS dropped it off after changing the delivery dates. I waited 2 days. When it did arrive in a large box but only 2 sheets of bubble wrap poorly taped so that the item bounced around inside the box. I opened and found a decrepit broken worn Abalone shell. Completely different specie and did in know way match the photos and description posted by Stout Studios on Chairish. I emailed Scout Studios immediately. Suddenly They where unresponsive. I contacted customer support and got the same old recording everyone with a problem gets " Wear experiencing a large number of support requests and I hate to say it but repeated attempts will only slow us down" from what I've read in other complaints this recording has been in there system forever! It's been a month with no resolution. Almost impossible to talk with someone. When you do it's a complete runaround. I think like others that they contract out to a company in India to handle complaints. I have purchased on Ebay and Etsy extensively and from all over the world. I have no negative feedback. This was my first time with Chairish and Scout Studios. Needless to say PayPal was not offered by Scout Studio's or I would have been refunded in a few days. Chairish is a scam but Scout Studios is even worse. Like SO MANY others that have been stolen from DO NOT BUY FROM CHAIRISH. DO NOT BUY FROM SCOUT STUDIOS!

Chairish Fantastic seller experience!

I'm not sure why all the poor reviews from sellers but my experience in selling through Chairish has been nothing short of wonderful I have been listing items for over 2 years and I think the listing process is pretty intuitive, nothing more complicated than eBay. They do ask for a bit more information than some other sites but I think that benefits both sellers & buyers so that there are no misunderstandings post sale. There isn't anything that Chairish can do about fraudulent sellers (inaccurate descriptions/sizes/condition of icee) other than ban seller from future sales. If people are going to be dishonest, nothing can stop them.
Things to improve: decrease time from
Submission of item for review to actual "live for sale". I can't imagine what takes 7-10 business days to review a listing. Also, the commission is a bit high, maybe offer a sliding scale (10% for item

Chairish Great experience as a buyer and seller

I can not believe all the negative reviews here. I've found Chairish a little over a year ago and have only great things to say about it. I sold many paintings through it and bought about 10 items. They take 20 % fee which is very reasonable and low compare to similar sites. Yes, they do review your items and don't let you change the title afterwords, but that's a good thing, cause It keeps the site organized and easier for people to find searched items. You receive your money only after 1 week after buyer get the item (it's very fast in comparison to other sites where i have to wait about a month). Some people complain about long shipping time, i don't know maybe i got lucky and all things I bought came within a week. Also, as a seller I always ship next day or in a day. But even if it happens that you have to wait longer, you have to understand, that's the Seller who is delaying the shipment not Chairish. Maybe it would be good idea if customers could rate the shops they buy from, this way site itself won't be blamed. Experience with customer service was also great. Quick responses, always helpful. I once noticed i put wrong tracking number, so my payment was not relisted. I contacted them with updated info and they sent me money same day.
What I would like to be done is the option that you can activate you item after it was delisted, not do all the posting over again. I'm an artist and often send paintings to the shows, so I have to delist them and I can not put them back, i always have to redo the whole process. This is my only suggestion. Other than that I'm a happy seller and buyer. And I was recommended this site to all my friends.

Chairish Chairish, does not pay its vendors as agreed and exploits its vendors

On multiple occasions we have made sales via Chairish. On each occasion we have had to call and follow up weeks after delivery to receive payment. In each case there is no timely response from the Account team.

Most recently, goods released months ago and delivered 2 weeks ago, has not resulted in a penny payment. Every piece shipped from our inventory has been greeted with delight from customers.

I strongly suggest no seller release goods until payment is received in advance of release.

Chairish X benches in anni

I ordered the above referenced benches through Chairish on Sept. 13, 2020., order #545820. Five days after placing my order, I received an area rug purchased elsewhere and decided that the bench would not work with the rug. I immediately called Chairish to cancel my order but was told by customer service that my items were "made to order" and could not be cancelled or return. The customer service rep was condescending when I objected that their return/cancellation policy that I was reading at the time, did not state anything about made to order items. He had to guide me through several steps to find the small print in the details segment of the benches that designated them as made to order. He was talking over me as I asked to speak with a manager and finally stated he would call the manufacturer to see if they could cancel the order. Of course they came back and said no and subsequent requests to escalate the cancellation were also denied. They also refused to change the fabric to satisfy my color palette issue. They have no desire to work with unhappy customers to seek a positive resolution. I would not recommend this company to anyone

Chairish ordered 2 black sconces, received one black sconce

We ordered 2 black sconces oct 2019, we received only one black sconce and was shipped one bronze sconce in november 2019. When we tried to contact chairish, they leave you on hold for two minutes then hang up on you. Tried emailing and have still not gotten credit for the wrong sconce shipped, literally 4 months ago, and still nothing. Do not order from chairish!

Chairish unreliable company

where is my order, Chairish? I ordered it 6 weeks ago and haven't received it yet. What is it called? A scam.
Your useless support gave me a runaround. That's all I got from them. No qualified help, no professional behavior, no nice treatment. Nothing of that was provided by your wonderful customer service.
I have no tracking number, so I don't know where my order is. And moreover, they refused to refund which is absolutely unacceptable.

Chairish bad customer service

Darn, I have been waiting for my order for 6 weeks and there's still no sign of it. What kind of service is that? Their website states different things regarding the delivery, they even have terms and policies. But they don't matter as they don't work at all. No one from your website follows the rules.
Your customer service talks crappy things and replies with computer generated emails and has no idea how to resolve simple issues.
Very bad. Zero rating.

I was charged for merchandise $983.86 that I did not receive...Date of purchase. September 20,2023. I ordered over the phone. I have no records of the transaction. But this company in California is staffed with dishonest people. Ultimately, I will sue. A court of law will find in my favor...

To Whom it May Concern,
I recently ordered an Indian (Native American )Squash Blossom Necklace from your company. I paid $198.00 for this Item.
The necklace was advertised as a vintage blue turquoise and silver squash blossom. Its date of production was 1960
(Vintage/ antique/used/ original condition, unaltered, no imperfections) The entire description was a scam.

The necklace was NOT an antique. I t was NOT hand made, the "Silver" was a cheap metal alloy, the "Turquoise stones" were plastic
This Squash Blossom necklace was machine made and probably not more than six months old.(so much for it being an antique )
Since I bought this necklace I have seen exact replicas of it on six different sites . They are ex actually the same piece of jewelry made
from the same factory. At least the other sites advertised these pieces as costume jewelry with faux turquoise and metal (not silver )
Depending on the site the prices for this exact squash blossom range from $45.00 to $68.00, I'm sure there are hundreds of these
"Vintage " squash blossom necklaces on the market.
I did an acid test on the "silver" and found it to be cheap metal. I also preformed test on the "turquoise" and found it to be plastic.

I have lived on Indian reservations and know real Indian jewelry when I see it. This piece is a phony that was advertised as the "real thing"
This is false advertising and downright deceit. I believe that this kind of practice is illegal and should be investigated.
I would never buy anything from Chairish again or recommend anyone else to do so.
