Dear McDonald’s Franchise/Owner:
I was recently in your store on October 4, 2025, picking up a DoorDash order for 2 different customers. The store had one order but not the other. (Prior to that, one of the workers stated to herself, I hope they made all those orders because I cleared the screen.) So, I asked about the other person’s order. I gave them the order number, and the worker stated, “just give me the name.” I was told that someone else picked up the order from one of your workers, so, I called DoorDash. The customer was contacted, who informed us, that she did not receive her order. DoorDash told me to see if they could remake the order. When I asked them, the store manager, came to the counter with a loud and very rude tone in her voice saying that she tired of me asking about that order. We told you it’s not here and literally telling me to leave. I asked her to lower her voice because I was not yelling or being rude to her. I simply stated that I was doing what you asked and that I am telling you what they said. And she repeated that they were not remaking the order and that she was going to call DoorDash and tell them not to send me back over there because I am bothering her about an order that I am only getting paid $4-5 to deliver. I took offense to that statement. I DoorDash to earn money to buy items that patients in facilities (like hospitals, etc.) need but do not have the funds currently available to purchase while at the facility. But like I said, I took offense because, even though this is not my full-time job, it’s somebody’s full-time job. To degrade another person’s worth based on what they do for a living should not happen because in God’s eye, we are all worth the same.
She was disrespectful to another customer earlier who requested a refund. She talks any kind of way to the employees. I can understand why they may put up with it because they need their jobs.
I am not writing this letter as a means for her to get written up or terminated, because the holidays are right around the corner. However, she needs to be talked to. As a person in a leadership role, being about to communicate and talk to people is a must. Degrading a customer is totally unprofessional.
Thank you for your time in the matter.
Disrespected Door Dasher
