employee
On two occasions i was treated in a rude and sexist manner by one of your employees, to the point where I feel threatened and harrassed. The first time I encountered him was towards the end of the work day. I was with my daughters. I had been in earlier abd spoken briefly to the branch mgr. Although i was there for something else, she suggested i open accounts fir my girls so i went back home to retrieve the necessary documents. When i came back, she was gone so the greeter saud she would get me someone else. Then a man came out and asked us what we were here for. I told explained that i had returned to open the accounts for my daughters and had some questions and possible changes i needed to make on my account. He obviously didn't want to help me and emphasized how he was really busy and I would have to wait a long time. When he was done with his client he walked out for a bit then i see him go in with another person. I waited at least an hour before came out. When he did, the first thing he says is oh you're still here. He spoke in a really rude tone, often being short and arrogant. He spoke in spanish several times even though i asked if he could use english since my girls don't speak spanish. He then made a rude comment about what a shame that was and how too many hispanics get americanized and allow there kids to loose there culture. He made several other rude comments and it was clear he didn't want to help us. When we sat down he asked again what i was there for, i told him again that we were opening accounts for my girls and had some account questions. He immediately rolls his eyes, lets out a big Ugh, and says nobody to him we were there to open accounts then say, you know we're closed right? I was obviously confused. I had been there for over an hour, no one said they were closed. This branch closes at 6pm and it wasn't 6 so again even more confused. He made me and my daughters very uncomfortable. Everytime i tried to explain what i needed he reminded me of the time. Obviously he wanted me to leave. Finally I said, look i understand its the end of the day and maybe you're feeling tired but I'm here and I've waited so can you possibly just try to help me. He said ok, but you know you're keeping me late. I ignored his response and gave hime the documents. He said he couldn't help me because my licence was expired, even though i had an interim license. I actually was upset about the license although earlier the branch mgr said it was fine. What was so disturbing was his blatant rudeness and aggression. After he said he couldn't help i asked if he could at least order a new card for me. He reminded me of the time again to which i replied that since i had been here such a long time it would be nice to get something done. Then he says well if you feel like you're not getting anything done why are you still here. I was so shocked. I told him that in all my time as customer a of chase this was the worst experience i have ever had. He had the nerve to tell me i was welcomed to go bank somewhere else, and actually he was surprised i was still here. His tone was very aggressive. I asked for the mgr name and which he did give me but was sure to say that i could tell her whatever i want that it wasn't going to make any difference to him. He said he wasn't worried about it and that he's "good" and that he doesn't worry about women like me. I told him i was going to talk to her anyway. Then he starts going on about my coming in with false id and asking him to do illegal things. I have a valid drivers license, theres nothing false there and i didn't ask him to do anything illegal. I was opening an account for my daughter and depositing cash. When he said i he couldn't open the account i didn't even push it. I just said ok. I just wanted to leave but he kept holding us up. Honestly this guy was freaking me and my girls out. Then he goes on to tell us a story about some guy taking money out of an account with no id but then later clauming it wasn't him that took out the money and wanted bank to pay him back. Then he says so you see people lie to steal money. I'm sitting there thinking, is this guy really accusing me of trying to steal money? This guy is freaking nuts. He kept smiling but saying aggressive things to me. It was scary and weird. When i went in back yesterday i was hoping the mgr was there but she was not. I was standing and waiting and he sees me and comes over. He asked are you ready to be helped this time. I politely said that i prefer to wait for someone else. He said well migdalia aint here so you're going to have to deal with me. I told him that after our last encounter i prefer to wait for the woman who was in the back. He laughed and walked off. He did let her know i was waiting then comes over and says you can go have a seat over there. It wasnt a friendly have a seat it was more an order. I told him i preferred to stan. Honestly i wanted to in full view of all the cameras. He made me very uncomfortable. He then walks over to the teller and as he does makes a rude sexist comment in spainish. He then starts talking about me and my account to the teller. I couldn't hear her but i could clearly hear him. There was another customer in the bank. I said to employee excuse but can you refrain from discussing me or my acct with another employee. I told him he had no right to violate my privacy. He was openly trash talking me and discussing account with the teller in the lobby with some random person standing there. He even told her i came in with false id. He said he wasn't discussing me and i told him i could cleary hear what he was saying. He then comes over and tells me that he has the right to discuss my account with any employee and because i had false documents he had to make her aware in case i come in and that he and she would be required to verify my documents. I told him i was in to use the teller so there was no need for her to know my personal business, nor need for to verify any of my documents. I told him that i didn't want him anywhere near my account. And that i would be dealing with someone else. He then tells me that even if i work with another banker he still has acct access and will be supervising and verifying my documents for her. He said that whatever she does, it will still have to go through him. This guy is hell bent on harassing me. I felt so humiliated in front of that other customer. I keep a strong face when i was there because i didnt want to give him the satisfaction of seeing me break down, but that guy is freaking bully. He even went in to talk about me to the other banker before i got to go in and see her. I asked her about it when i finally went in. She obviously looked uncomfortable and it was clear from the way he was behaving that he did say something to her about me. She was actually nice. She just said she is unclear about what the previous situation was with him but that she would like to make my experience with her better. I did tell her everything that happened. Throughout my meeting with her he keep staring over at us and walking past the cubicle we were in. It was very uncomfortable. He was stalking me in the darn bank. I was determined to get what i needed done, after all i am a client of this bank. My son is active in the military and we have have a joint account. I needed information on military accounts and investments since he will be depositing a large sum of money. Also with his up coming deployment he wanted to make sure i would be able to pay his bills and take care of his banking needs. The only reason i didn't pull all my money out was because of how nice the woman i spoke to was. She reminded me that I was the client and should not let myself be run out of my bank because of an employee. She Also gave me the customer service number for chase. I did not open accounts for my daughters. They refused to open an account with a bank that allows and employs such sexist people to work for them. They opened accounts at another bank instead. I am shocked and appalled at this employee. How does Chase hire people like this. This employee made sexist and derogatory comments and harrassed me in your own branch. Am i to be harrassed by him every time i go in? How do i know he's not going to mess with my account. Is my money safe?
chase travel center
My family and I have been loyal chase customers for more than 10 years and had been very happy about chase products and services until my recent disappointing and frustrating experience through Chase travel center.
Here is my story. Because of my friend's recommendation, I booked tickets through Chase travel center for my long planned trip back to China, for the first time and hope it is not the last time. The flights were carried by Air Canada and supposed to departure on Apr 5th from Dallas to Vancouver (AC8625) and Vancouver to Shanghai (AC025). On Mar 9, AC informed the chase travel center that the flight AC025 got cancelled. Because chase travel center did not leave my contact information to AC, they could not inform me. What chase travel center following did really disappointed me:
1. Chase travel center did not try to notice me after they got the notice of cancellation from AC. When I tried to check in at the DFW airport on Apr. 5, I was informed that my flight was cancelled and my rearranged schedule was Apr. 4. How can I leave Dallas on Apr. 5 and have a connection flight at Vancouver on Apr. 4? So immediately I called the chase travel center, they told me their record showed they tried to call me once but I did not pick up the phone. A message was left. But in fact, as I only recently changed the cell phone carrier, I even did not set up the voicemail. Except the only one time call, they did not send me an email or try to contact me again.
2. Chase travel center did not want to provide me a solution or help me out after I found the flight got cancelled. In the phone, I waited almost 1 hour to get a chance to talk to the specialist who also claimed she is the supervisor of this travel center. I was only informed that I should take the full responsibility to check the status of flight by myself. The onetime call just a courtesy. She even told me that if I want to change the flight, I have to pay the changing fee, if I want to change the carrier, I should pay whole for the new ticket and forfeit my pervious ticket. But in fact, I called AC directly and they changed my flight to Apr. 6 without any additional charge. Was the manger try to hide some information and earn more money from their already miserable customer?
3. Chase travel center did not notice their customer about updated requirement of documents to travel to other country. They did tell me that I need visa/green card to go back to USA. But they did not inform me that Canada launched a new policy which required eTA for passages even only with a flight transfer in Canada. So in my return trip (on Apr 23) from Shanghai to Dallas, I was refused to board at Pudong international airport. Because my eTA was not approved immediately, I had to change the flight to Apr24.
I am a working lady and it is not easy to find 2 weeks for a vacation. It is a reunion with my family members in China after many years. Each day is super cherish to me. However, because of the negligence of chase travel center, I suffered so much trouble, both from time( I wasted whole two vacation days) and money (wasted more than $500, one connecting flight ticket from Shanghai to Kunming, luggage storage fee at airport and hotel fee) sides. All the response I got from chase travel center was" it is not our business". When I asked for compensation, what they provide me was 5000 reward points. Is this the appropriate way as a big bank's travel center to treat their customer? Did they show any respect or care to their business? As I said before, as a loyal chase customer, I did advise a big improvement of the customer service quality of travel center, hope at least they try hard to notice any change of the flight schedule and provide updated documentation information. If they do not want to spend time in it, at least leave customers' contact information to the airline so airline can inform their customer directly. Finally, when a poor customer suffered in a trouble, please try to help them out!
Thanks for your attention and hope I can hear something from you!
retirement brokerage
If you have made your investments with this company, do your children a favor, and relocate the funds immediately! My father didn't have much money, but he made sure his account was large enough to cover his funeral services. Here I sit, nearly 3 months after his death, and still unable to have his funds released, despite multiple hours in phone calls, trips to the notary, etc. At this point, i've even had the funeral director imply that I was lying about waiting for the funds to process. This is a horrible monster of a company that has a seemingly endless number of people to complain to, with just a few results as the previous.

poor customer service, website defects
Chase bank complaints
I was a washington mutual customer when chase took over and been pleased with chase until last 2 years. the below listed reasons are why im leaving in may as soon as my ssa $ is deposited into my provident credit union account.
I have complained to several branch managers in south florida and have not seen any improvememt:
When search chase bank complaints it takes me to https://www.chase.com/digital/resources/complaints-feedback
When i sign in it takes me to my bank home page and there is no place to submit my complaint!
The new web site interface is worse than the previous! the old web site was user friendly and more intuitive with links to needed places.
Cant access secure messaging from computer site but can from chase mobile
Cant readily accesss account features.
The chase logo at top of page is dead and should be a live link to “home” or something!
The chase mobile app does not list the branches that have atm card access to atm lobbies where larger amounts of cash can be withdrawn after hours.
Although your branches have restrooms, they are not for customers! very bad for senior citizens in sofl!
Every other bank ive been in has restrooms for customers!
Chase has closed most if not all of the atms at walgreens and cvs drug stores.
Your bank is the most customer unfriendly, bordering on covert hostility, i have ever experienced.
Im certainly not the only customer leaving chase after years of being neglected!
unacceptable customer service
On 3/30/17 I went to Chase to close my old acct. & open a new one as precaution because I thought my acct information had been compromised due to a device malfunction. The transactions occurred without incident.
On 4/8/17 I received a letter dated 4/4/17 stating that my acct. had been closed & that I had until 4/7/17 to stop all transactions & cancel direct deposits. Clearly, that timeline could not be met as the letter was received after the fact.
I went into the local branch in Haverstraw, NY where NO ONE, including the branch manager could tell me why the action was taken. Simply that I could no longer have accts. with them.
I've been a customer for approximately 18 years. First with a juvenile trust, then a college checking & then a regular checking acct. I've always been in good standing. And with the exception of the recent change, have never had any issues as a customer.
It is horrible customer service to treat anyone this way. I may be a "lower level" customer since I'm only a middle class citizen, however, I've been a loyal customer and have even referred others to bank with Chase.
At minimum, I'd like just the answer as to why my acct. was closed and why I can no longer bank with Chase. I'm being treated as if I've committed some sort of agregious act against the institution.
cheque fraud
Unprofessional & irresponsible
I've recently uploaded my bicycle up for sale on craigslist. Bob who was very interested in purchasing the item have sent me the cheque that was more than the value of the item, and have asked me to send the remainder to Chirstopher who Bob claimed was his delivery guy. I deposited the cheque and waited 4 days for the cheque to clear. Once the cheque was cleared and became available in my account, I've proceeded to wire-transferring the remainder of the amount to Chirstopher. The day after i've wire transferred the money, the initial cheque that was cleared was now returned and I had deficit balance of -$2000 in my checking account. I called Chase (my bank) to ask about what happend, and they've explained that the cheque was cleared early for my convenience, which i never asked for, and then was later returned since cheque was not valid. Such security measure is unacceptable. Even worse i was charged for the return fee of the cheque. I can't understand why i would have to be responsible for the mistake that the bank made.
bank attitude

I have been banking with chase many years same small office.
We have lost service there and now we are treated like terrorist when we go there. I mean look I been banking there many years when I come there a ID is all I need to do business. The management how they handle your policies better learn to treat us like humans.
Danny has no clue what it means for me to put my hard work in a bank and treat me like a terrorist. I am sorry I am 56 year old man My brother retired as a a VP from Citi bank maybe I should put my money there.
I can can go over to the main branch once in a while and they all know me from this small branch that treats people like ####. work on this.
Why should people put money in your bank lousy service and low interest rates.
I guess i can replace them with a smart app. Or start my own bank.
stolen money
I let chase know I was abducted on a side of town I have never used my card or live near my car happened to break down there someone told me they would look further into it I never got a call back I was sexually violated and hospitalized for suicide, and traumatized to say the least. And told them to at least put something back to help me because I'm a single mother of two with no help.
claims department
I called for a double charge on my account on January 23 for Starbucks I called and they told me they would put a temporary credit to my account until the issue was resolved and the rep that helped me told me it should take up to 30days! Starbucks credited my account on January 25. The claims department took 2 months for them to resolve my claim. That is ridiculous they are not only wasting my time and money now! Now they are taking money from my child for food when this could have been resolved in January! Also the agents that helped me had no sympathy and or professionalism! I have worked for customer service for 8 years and never in my life would I treat my customer that way! I would try to get her issue resolved as soon as I can! I'm so disappointed with chase!

chase fraud on chase.com
The pain and dysfunction of dealing with Chase's fraud depart has been so frustrating with several hours and many phone calls! They are very disconnected from the various ways that the fraud was committed. They left loose ends and cause the fraud attack to go on for an extended amount of time. Did not check all accounts and customer points for what had been hacked. Staff was terrible and ranged from clueless domestic to even worse foreign staff. I finally worked through it with them but I have really lost faith in The Sapphire customer service.
I have investment issues with chase j p morgan
I have had an investment account that my parents set up for me as a child. Chase JP Morgan has not made a effort to contact me when 3 of my statements had been returned. No phone Call no Registered Letter. My address had not changed but they transferred my funds to the State of Colorado any way! Now I can not find my money! They basicly have no transfer Paperwork saying It went to the State and the state say's they do not
have it? I AM NOW SEEKING HELP FOR A LAWYER AND THE UNITED STATES SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISION.
quickpay
THE WORST customer service I ever experienced. Quickpay is the most flawed and unreliable bank service you could possibly use. My money was basically stolen due to bank's mistake by allowing to register several accounts with the same phone number! I sent money to my fiancee, put HIS NAME - which is visible on a transaction and phone number, and still somebody else received the money - Chase allowed it to happen. How is it even possible that you can allow a transaction where name and phone number don't match in bank records? And now they are completely unhelpful, not trying to give me my money back or send it to a correct recipient. NEVER EVER use their services, at the end of the day they don't care about you and your business. Closing all my personal accounts and not starting a business one. Thank you for looking out for me and not caring about stealing your customers' money!
refusal to release money from deceased father's account
Dealing with Chase Legal Department has been a fraught with lack of communication, delays, incompetencies, incusable for a major financial institution.
My father died on May 28, 2016. I have been trying, without success, to have the balance of $20, 000.00 in his checking/savings account transferred to his surviving spouse.
My parents were married 63 years! My mother is 87 years old and suffers from dementia and has severe mobility problems. The cost of caregiving is astronomical! Knowing he had very little time left, my dad worked hard to ensure my mother would be safe and secure in the house they shared for decades. He took out a reverse mortgage. My parents were far from wealthy and, at one time, qualified for Medi-Cal's meals on wheels.
In June 2016, I went to a Chase branch office. Produced death certificate, bank statements, power of attorney. No response. I finally retained the services of an attorney. In August 2016, legal documents and demand for release were submitted. Chase responded with delay tactics such as duplicate requests for documents previously provided, and as recently as a month ago, proof that I, in fact, authorized legal representation!
How unethical! How unconscionable! How abhorrent!
annual fee
We send our statement back to cancel our credit card as the annual fee was more than we wanted to pay since we did not use this card. Had not been used in many many months. They said they did not get the cancellation.
When the second statement came, it was still on there so I sent it again and said we cancelled this card.
Then I got a notice saying it was overdue and I then found a way to get someone in the email message dept. They say the annual fee is due as it was not cancelled in time. I do not understand why it would be fair to charge you for an annual fee that the card has been cancelled and I do believe they got the request to cancel and they just ignored it hoping it would just get paid. I do not feel this is fair or legal and need help.
Thank you
Did you call to cancel your card? Do you have proof of receipt? Did you confirm the address with a representative over the phone? I have never heard of someone sending a statement back with a request to cancel on it. You might as well be sending letters.
chase card
My Amazon prime account overdrawn and late monthly pay. The chase Amazon card that was given seven months ago was closed by Chase.
Reason: In December a new card was mailed out. I was told by chase that it is my problem for not letting chase know that I had received the new card. I had no way knowing a new card was coming out. The exp date was 05 19 and it was a chip card. I had no way in knowing about a new card.
Amazon later told me that chase told them I requested a new card.
This is not true.
And why do your new cards not be set up with amazon.? Like the first one.
unethical behavior
Chase is the worst! My account was compromised and all my funds where wiped out. Chase advised me to close the old account and open a new account one. They said they would investigate the fraud and credit back my funds. I filed my claim on Monday, January 23rd. I still have not received a cent of my money and its January 31st. The credit was approved by Chase. The bank credit my account; the old and closed account; not once, twice but three times. NO apologies .. no one is willing to help get my credit in my NEW account. I have bills and day to day living expenses that I cant meet them because the bank's employees are a JOKE! Its' like speaking to automatic teller; NO ONE CAN FIX the problem. They repeat the same thing over and over. This is unacceptable.
atm withdrawal limit
My son is in the military serving our country. I called chase today to get a small increase on his debit card withdrawal. I was told by debra and aria that it couldn't be done unless he called btw they were very rude and non accomdating. I am on his account so that issues like this would not happen. He is in the field and has no communication to the outside world right now. We are having his car shipped to him the day he arrives to base. They want cash or cashier's check. No chase bank around. Other banks will not give him a cashier's check without cash. So now the car shows up and he only can give them 500. I'm sure they will take the car back. It's obviously chase could care less about the military. I will be posting this on social media to warn other soldiers to find a more military friendly bank
It doesn't have to do with the military at all. It has to do with fraud and account security. Everyone who works with a bank has to be treated equally.
In regards to the account, are you a joint owner? If you are not and are merely a secondary you definitely should not be allowed to make changes of that nature.
credit - customer service
Scrooged: chase united mileageplus visa scrooged me on christmas eve. We spend a lot of money with chase united visa every month. It turns out that on december 19, we missed a modest payment due. We received no notice from visa, nor any reminder. But, on christmas eve, chase united visa just cut off our credit card. Even if we immediately made our payment on the phone (Which we did) they would not make credit available for 2 days (Which does not help on christmas eve). Fortunately, we had other cards, but it is still completely unreasonable to cut off credit on christmas eve with no prior notice. When we called customer service, they offered no help at all, and when in frustration we suggested they just close the account, the phone rep actually began the process of closing the account rather than offer any help at all. Any company that would scrooge you on christmas eve is not a company you should do business with.
